I came in today for a walk in and had the most amazing experience. Everyone I met and that assisted me was friendly and professional. Pops is a talented tattoo artist that listened to exactly what I wanted and made my ideas come to life perfectly. He even was able to replicate the exact dimensions of physical tarot card making my tattoo look like you could take it off my leg and hold the real card. I have one other tattoo I got locally 4 years ago but the experience I had with that one kept me from getting another for so long. I absolutely will be coming back for all my future work and recommend that everyone gets their work done here. My only regret is that I didn’t come here sooner. Thank you so much!

I had the best experience at this shop and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to get tattooed. I had a vision and Pops made it happen. The results were even better than I could have hoped for. The shop has such a chill vibe and everyone was super friendly. I am already planning my next tat. I brought my 16 year old son in to get his ears pierced and they treated us like royalty. Everyone in the shop was so nice and professional. China was our piercer, he made my son feel comfortable and did a great, clean, professional job piercing my sons ears. I would definitely recommend this place and will be back for more work.

Zombie is awesome! Its not finished yet, just got my line work today, but cant wait to go back for my color! They offered me numbing cream....which I didnt even know existed anx had never been offered before. I didnt use it and it was mostly painless. 🥰

Sketchiest tattoo shop I’ve ever been to. Very poor customer service, you can tell the inexperienced. Was just in town visiting— Wasted 7 hours to ruin me on what should have been the most simple tattoo. I honestly could’ve gotten a half sleeve elsewhere for the time wasted there. This nonsense of a cover up is crazy! Oh by the way, I only needed one bc they messed up. It really had potential at first until it didn’t. The fact that the owner Eric thought it was funny made me want to write this poor review. I didn’t appreciate that much. Get your tattoo there at your own risk…. place is a joke and they know it. That’s why they make you pay first before you get tatted. That should’ve been my sign to walk out. Unprofessional at its finest! Here’s the final product. Don’t @ me or believe the lies they may tell. Ijs! I have receipts. I’d laugh at me too though (before and after just as bad). Oh well! No regrets right lol

Eric is the best around for piercings and tattoos ! He has done more than a handful of mine over the course of 4 years every time I go is another great experience to add to the list . Chop is the best as well , always makes sure you leave the shop satisfied and the customer service in this shop is amazing

I came in today as a walk in and has Pops as my artist. He was super friendly, kind and fast. It was a great experience from the beginning to end. All the staff was professional and treated us incredibly well.

I would 100% come back to this shop. I had a piercing done from another shop that needed to be switched out immediately! The piercer (Eric), his apprentice, and the woman at the front desk were all so welcoming and comforting. Eric was extremely honest and only did what he thought would be best for me based on his expertise, all while explaining everything to me and still giving me the opportunity to make decisions. He even offered to help me out by removing the jewelry free of charge if my ear still doesnt heal correctly. You wont be disappointed by the people or the service if you go to this shop!!!

Zombie did an absolutely amazing job on my arm. He was very professional but also joked around. So I felt very comfortable being there.He is also incredibly skilled and Im definitely going back for tattoos by him.

I got a lip piercing and I wanted it symmetrical with the one I already had. The person picking out the jewelry knew nothing about it. The piercer came out and was going to pierce my lip with a tiny barbell. I asked if we should use a longer one for swelling and she seemed clueless, but went and found one for me. Took me to the back room (which was more like a back supply closet) and marked where the piercing would be. I had to have her fix it twice, and the third mark looked perfectly symmetrical with my existing piercing. Immediately after she pierced me, It looked all wrong and the piercing was sitting weird, as if it was not put in straight. The next day it started oozing and the day after that it was swollen and hugely infected. I had to see my doctor and get on antibiotics. I just had to take the piercing out because it looks ridiculous, its completely off from the other side by several millimeters. Thats $100 wasted and a huge risk to my health. Please please please ask for the piercers certification before you allow them to do anything to you (my mistake was not doing this). I would avoid this place at all costs.

They were great with setting up the appointment, the tattoo process was quick & easy & the tattoo came out lovely! This was my girlfriends first time getting a tattoo & it was of my name! At first I thought there were pretty chill but they are very unprofessional. They had me pay the fee to transfer my lisence to their shop and when the Department of public heath contacted them they denied knowing who I was, even though they literally talked to me 2 days prior.And they would ignore my messages every time I had a question about the services they provided. Be careful with this guys!

My experience at Boston Ink was amazing! I had a tattoo on my arm that I wanted covered, with something else completely over it. Zombie was able to custom make my tattoo by hand of what I wanted for a design and made accurate measures of the tattoo design. Zombie was very attentive, detailed, and always doubled checked his work along the way to make sure it was being done correctly.Zombie is beyond talented and I would highly recommend him.Thank you Zombie I love my coverup tattoo!!!!

So I had my first appointment w pops a couple months ago and I needed a cover up he did everything great , worked w me on when was a good time for me and I wasn’t sure exactly what I wanted but pops sat there and helped me figure somethin out to cover my exs name and the tatto came out amazing , so I went down to the shop to get another and everyone there was very awesome , highly recommend this place for anybody who looking for a new artist or in need of your first tatto!!!

I went there and got a horrible tattoo I don’t recommend. Someone name zombie messed up the back of my arm and now I have to pay more money to cover it up. Be careful getting tattoos here.

Probably one of the most HONEST reviews here (go to the fourth paragraph for the reasoning!)Booking/ scheduling an appointment:I was looking for a place to get my first tattoo for my birthday and a group tattoo. After looking around, I came across this place with hundreds of 5 star reviews. I looked at pictures on the website and the work that was posted looked great. I did notice that there were no artists names or social media accounts linked with the pictures (like on other sites). I called the number listed and someone answered the phone but didn’t say anything (no, Boston ink, how can I help you or anything) just silence. But I said hello anyway and a male voice said “yeah?” First red flag. I was told to send pictures of what we were looking for as a “reference” and to get a price estimate. I sent the pictures and was quoted an amount for each image and confirmed a date. Looking back I obviously should have asked for the artists name which was my mistake but it also should have been provided to me.Day of appointmentThe man at the front desk asked which tattoo shop were we looking for (later I learned that there are 3 or 4 separate tattoo studios in one building). When I mentioned having an appointment he looked confused, second red flag… after talking and checking his phone, his memory was refreshed…we were instructed to sign forms on a tablet then instructed to pay, which was strange to me because we hadn’t even talked to the artist yet. Third red flag. I mentioned that I wouldn’t be paying until we talked with the artist. As we were waiting for the artist, I noticed a wall with multiple sheets of $75 dollar quick tattoos.. which was interesting because the tattoos that we were getting, were significantly smaller and less detailed than every single tattoo on those sheets but cost double the amount. Another red flag. Also the amount that we were quoted via text increased by almost $50 despite no changes. Red flag again.After speaking with the artist, I realized that he was going to tattoo the exact “reference” image that was sent in, no edits. Which was ok, I guess but was a little odd to me but I passed it off as my mistake for having a preconceived thought of what my experience would be based off tattoo artist on TV shows.Now it was time to pay. WHY I MENTIONED THAT THIS IS PROBABLY THE MOST HONEST REVIEW.. the guy from the front desk asked if we wanted to add an aftercare kit. I asked how much was it and he said “ it’s like $50 but you can get it for free if you leave a positive review” Hence hundreds of 5-star reviews! How many red flags are we at now?Actual tattoo time:We were offered a remote to watch TV, The actual building and room that we were in looked dated (lots of cracks in the walls, chipped paint, chipped leather on the seats). The hygiene process was pretty solid. Fresh needles out of the pack, the area was sanitized in between each use, gloves were worn and changed anytime the artist needed to leave the room. As I was being tattooed, other employees from the other tattoo studios (logos were on the shirts) were walking in and out of the room, talking on the phone, strange. We all finished with our tattoos and had the second skin placed. We were given aftercare instructions and told that touch ups are free but we have to wait 14 days before we could come back. Will we though? lol we didn’t!The front desk guy came to ask again if we were interested in the free kit, which we declined.When it was time to remove the second skin, I took a look at the tattoos and there was a flaw in one of the tattoos, you could see the stencil part (not sure what it’s called) on the skin but it was missed, like coloring outside of the lines. The other tattoos looked better but I know that we were completely over charged simply for what we got (and compared to the level of detail on the $75 quick picks on their wall).The artist was nice but there were other artists (that I looked at on social media after) whose work looked much better, and wish I was paired with them instead. Do your research!!

China did my tattoo and it was quick and clean and the customer service was great I’m definitely going to come back for another one soon.

Sabrina did an amazing job on the doodlebob on my foot. Not only was she super clean and professional, but I barely felt a thing while she did her magic. The final product was my exact vision and I’m glad I chose her as an artist

Eric did my Ashley piercing , when I tell you he’s the best piercer believe me! I’ve done had a hit in lip ect when I tell u it healed in a day, & I believe because of the great piercer he is it’s been 2 weeks and no pain, same as when I got piercing ! Bummer lost the ball today, and bell fell down drain hoping it doesn’t close! I’ll see you tomorrow if your open ericccccccc(St8 out of Compton Voice) 🤣

All of the staff were strictly professional. I love my lip piercings, I had chosen the Ashley and the Medusa lip piercings. It cost $60 per piercing and $20 each for the 24k gold diamond rings which is extra of course but over all, to me that is fair pricing. When it came to the Medusa piercing it brought a little tears to my eyes like my septum I got in New York about 2 years ago and the Ashley made me cringe and tighten up but the pain for me that is, not so bad afterwards, even though he did have a bit of a hard time putting the diamond on. Im also getting a tattoo cover priced and looking forward to working with them again.

I recommend to go there if you’re looking for a tattoo! A nice one at least I’ll be going there again !

The Staff was very kind and welcoming. The artist, Eric took time to go over my concept and improved on it. This was my first real tattoo/ cover up. He was very patient with me and gave me breaks when I needed them. This will be my go to spot.

The staff get 5 stars. Very friendly and great customer service. However the place itself looks dirty. Smelled like marijuana as soon as I walked in. I get that this is a tattoo shop but this place is lack luster. My daughter was getting her nose pierced and this made me even concerned about sanitation. Thankfully things were sterilized and gloves were worn. Unfortunately I won’t ever go again due to the unkempt look of the place. . Like I said the staff were awesome.

Well, way too many places close too early on a Saturday night in Boston! This shop was accommodating, friendly, had so many options I had trouble choosing. Went simple because we were fare away. The artist was very friendly. The process was clean, gloves used, everything nicely sterilized before hand. Had an apprentice with him. Gave extra materials (gauze / qtips) in case of blood and instructions for cleaning. It could definitely be a cleaner and more fun atmosphere. Satisfied! I think the price was steep for a single hole, but whatever. Definitely only use cash. Helps them and keeps you safe. Enjoy

The tattoos they had displayed looked awesome!Got brought back to a room that looked unfinished. Sat on a table that had no protective paper and table was not wiped down in between appointments.Didn’t catch my artists name but he did not wear gloves while applying the Stencil on my friends and I.He also used the same razor on everyone! Who does that!?When it came to him explaining aftercare he was VERY unsure on how long to keep tattoo wrapped and how long to apply ointment.I swear this guy just started tattooing TODAY and needs much more training.Don’t bother wasting your time or money here it’s not worth your time or moneyHe put all of us at risk for many infections! We are LIVID it’s not even funny

Just had my philtrum pierced by Eric! He was super patient with all my nitpicky requests (Ive got 50+ individual piercings so I know my body fairly well). Shop was a bit of a different vibe than Im used to but all staff were super friendly and Im a pierced pro at this point so I mostly just need a helping hand to shove the needle through me 😂. My lips swell like crazy (and are on the larger side to begin with) but immediately after, the placement feels comfortable on the inner lip (which is huge for me. Have some gum erosion from a poorly placed Monroe done elsewhere -- freshly retired in my attached image -- Would like to avoid more teeth damage!)Loved the fact that I was in and out. No offense but when piercers give me the 20min lecture on aftercare while Im sitting there in front of them with a face full holes, I get a bit annoyed.especially when its a piercing of the same caliber/area as one I have visible and healed to the piercer.Overall very positive experience!Only thing of note is they dont carry titanium jewelry to pierce with. Every thing is surgical steel. Definitely not a deal breaker. Just something to keep in mind if youre picky like me!

Got a septum a week ago and had to take it out once i noticed how terribly placed it was. the environment was nice, staff was friendly, needle and tools were clean. the jewelry is externally threaded. everything was ok except for how low my septum was placed. i called to ask if they could provide a refund since i would not like to return again and after saying no they offered to have me come in so they could take a look (idk what for though).

I called them last minute as I had a sudden issue with an old piercing. They were very accommodating in scheduling me at a convenient time and very prompt as well. I went and was greeted by the receptionist and she was very welcoming and informative about the services they provide and about their waiver as well. Erick performed my piercing and he was very professional, attentive and concise as well as my situation was a bit complicated. He guided me through my piercing and put me at ease. After the piercing he instructed me on the after care and gave me minor pointers as well. My experience here was over all superb and I will be returning for additional services in the near future.

Erik did my tattoo and I love it at first I was gonna get some shading and color but after he did the shading I already loved it so much I didn’t even get coloring he was very helpful with keeping a conversation to keep my mind of what was actually getting the tattoo and actually did the tattoo in great timing!

Came to get standard lobe piercings. Quick and easy, super friendly staff. Gave us free saline and advice for how to eventually transition to gauges.

Dope black owned business and glad I came to them to get my tattoo. They were very accommodating for me, I don’t know the guy’s name who did my tattoo (think it starts with L 😅) but he took as much time as I needed to figure out exactly how I wanted my tattoo and where I wanted it placed and he did a good job. He was super professional too. The guy at the front desk was really nice and friendly too and helped me pick out fonts. Overall a really good experience and I’m thankful to them 😇I will be back

This place does not check ID and tattoos underage kids without parental / guardian consent. This is unacceptable and inappropriate. My 16 y.o. niece now has a permanent marking on her body that she will eventually regret. Thanks Boston Ink.

I never write reviews but I had a horrible experience at this place and there are endless reasons I want to protect others from the experience I had. First off, the shop has an unprofessional environment. Not only were there kids running around, but the ONLY piercer showed up late, despite the fact that we had an appointment for four of us to get pierced that day.The shop is not as sanitary as it should be. The jewelry is kept in an open tray, uncovered and I felt so uncomfortable I asked the piercer to clean the jewelry before piercing me with it. Of course, something that I shouldn’t feel the need to say. Within less than I week I had to take one of my piercings out and go on antibiotics.The piercer was not properly trained. I asked her how long she’d been piercing and she said 6 years but I would be shocked if it was 6 weeks. She didn’t know where the conch piercing was. After piercing me and trying to put the jewelry in, she dropped the screw on ball down my shirt while trying to twist it on. The ball fell off of the barbell 3 days after she pierced me. And in less than two weeks the other piercing’s screw fell off too. My frustration came flying back and I had to write this review with the hopes that others will pick another tattoo and piercing shop over this one. OH and the 500 reviews for this shop are definitely fake, there’s no way 500 reviews would give this place 5 stars. I hope this helps someone!!

Absolutely great experience! I came in a little late because parking was a little hard during rush hour, but they had no issue and got me right in. Checked my ID, had me choose jewelry that came with the cost, and I was out within half an hour.My piercer was Maya and she was so sweet and comforting. I got my septum pierced and she walked me through what she was doing and answered all my questions.

I really wanted to like this place more, the people running it are super nice. But the piercing services were not good; jewelry was stored in a dirty container and just gone over with an alcohol wipe before use.But the main issue: I got home, I saw that one of two piercings was done crookedly. The back sticks out of my earlobe at a weird angle and has to heal that way now. Cannot recommend.

I love the atmosphere at this shop. The artists and support staff are super helpful. My artist Lawrence has been amazing!, working with my ideas to bring them to life. He’s detail oriented and takes great pride in his work. The first time I came in for a new ink patch I was beyond pleased with the result. I have been back at least a dozen times since for coverups of old work that had me feeling self conscious in a bathing suite. After my weight loss he helped me to find confidence in my body again. I can’t say enough about the new found joy he’s helped to to attain through our ink sessions. I’m always happy with my piercings and tattoos. Most of which he’s done. Thanks Lawrence 💙

Unfortunately as welcoming and nice the appointment setter was…. I was extremely disappointed. After waiting 2.5 hours we were told we needed to pay in full before being tattooed. Never have I ever nor my cousin (half body already covered) paid before getting a tattoo. We wasn’t comfortable with that and just think it should be discussed prior to appointment setting. Call me crazy but if I’m getting a tattoo can I see if I like how you draw the stencil at least first before I pay you?! We didn’t get to that step yet nor was offered to sign any paperwork.

Very professional. Made me feel comfortable as I was getting my nipples pierced. Kept making sure to check on me and make sure I was feeling ok during the process. Quick and easy. Great piercer. Id definitely go back to raynham and get pierced by him again. Awesome little mobile shop they have set up over there.

I had called for a walk-in appointment and they were able to fit me in on the same day. I got my belly pierced with Mya and she was very professional and ensured that she told me everything about aftercare. Smooth and easy process, would come back again!

I made an appointment on 22nd of June, for Next Week Saturday according to the person making it. Came in the store on 2nd of July Next Week Saturday, apparently it was 2 weeks not Next week. They absolutely did nothing to resolve an issue except telling me to come back next Saturday. I cant and now I cant get a refund because they only can do it after asking general manager. Also I want to point out look at the reviews for piercing every single one of them is really red, they definitely dont have really experienced employee, because I had it done for me at the other place and I had no blood and my ears stopped hurting withing Next 2 minutes, and they were not tomato red after 4 minutes.

I got my septum pierced here. I chose this location because it was rated so high. I did my research and everyone recommended to choose carefully as this piercing can be easy if done correctly, but also easy to mess up. I couldnt be happier with the experience! I cant say enough great things. The piercing itself didnt hurt, and the artist was careful about ensuring it was placed correctly. The whole process was very fluid, and he didnt increase my anxiety by drawing it out. They were accommodating considering my boyfriend decided to get a last minute piercing as well. We were probably in the room for all of 5 minutes, and most of that was due to me asking questions. Highly highly recommend!Parking is difficult though.

I wish I could give 0 Stars I took my daughter to this place to get her nose pierced the chick a black boney girl with piercings and blonde Fouxe locs up in a bun I don’t know her name she wasn’t welcoming or pleasant she had a rude stank attitude she did a horrible job on my daughters piercing she pierced it with a small ring in which the ring kept going through the hole then when my daughter texted her she told her to come back so she can change it and the broad had the nerve not to be there KNOWING my daughter was coming to get it corrected and the worker a white girl had the NERVE to tell my daughter she has to pay $10 more for her to correct it We already payed $50 for a SERVICE THAT WAS NOT DONE CORRECTLY IN THE FIRST PLACE are you kidding me ?!?! not only will I not bring her back there for that boney no shaped with bad energy Bird to TOUCH my daughter again I WILL NEVER COME AND SPEND MONEY THERE and to think I was going to get a tattoo from there never again I’d rather go somewhere else and pay again because I let her CORRECT ANYTHING FOH !!!!Do not go here for no piercing!!!

Even though I was nervous Eric was patient with me. The tattoo came out really nice and it was super quick.

My artist and everyone else there made me and all of my friends feel super comfortable the whole time we were there (we called an hour before and asked if we could do walk ins, and they let four of us in which was so nice of them). It was good vibes the whole time and our group left more than satisfied with our total of 3 tattoos and one nose piercing. It was genuinely a great experience, shoutout to our artist teck !

Sweetest people I have ever experienced. I came in after having surgery because my doctors had to take out my nose ring and filled the hole with an IV tube so it wouldn’t close. I called and they took me in immediately. They fixed my nose ring, got the IV out, and put it back in. I would recommend this place to anyone. I will definitely come back. I can’t thank them enough!

I had my nose pierced at a different place. I repierced my nose twice by myself. I could tell something wasnt right so I decided to go to BI for the artist to take a look at it. Im glad I did. Eric looked at my nose piercing and told me it had to come out because it wasnt healing correctly. Eric took my nose piercing out and repierced it for me. He repierced my nose so quickly I was amazed. Eric made me feel at ease. I would highly recommend going to BI for your piercings.

I got my double helix piercing done here and the piercing process was smooth and not painful at all. It was a very easy process and I felt very comfortable.

They came to my rescue when I had a piercing emergency! I had my medusa piercing fall out after having it done yesterday at a mall. I called this store and they took me in quickly and gave me a new better fitted piercing. My piercer was also very patient and listed to my concerns.

Both me and my moms got our piercings done here a few days ago, I got my second ear lobe piercing and industrial piercing and my moms got a helix piercing. They were sanitary and very friendly. Will definitely be coming here in the future.

I got a piercing, the way the piercing jewelry was displayed to me was unprofessional and unsanitary. The staff touched all the jewelry with bare unwashed hands. Not a big selection on jewelry at all.The place smells strongly like garbage, and the place didn’t look too clean. I had an appointment and waited about twenty five minutes for the piercing person to enter the studio. The person looked to be high from marijuana but I gave the benefit of the doubt. I was also filmed on a old school video recorder during the procedure which was awkward to me. The piercing came out okay but too many other things in the environment didn’t sit well with me. I’ve never been to a professional piercing place and have these things happen.

Got my.nose pierced and it was not a good experience! Had do it twice which left me bigger whole and possible infection. The earring wont stay in place it keeps falling through the hole! 😒

Had a great experience at Boston Ink! It started with a friendly greeting from shop manager, Raheem. He gave me all the technical run down and helped me pick the jewelry for my nose piercing. I was a little nervous about the piercing - I’m a pain wimp! But shop owner Erik kept me laughing with his fun stories and great humor so the pain was easier to shake off. It’s the day after the piercing and my nose is healing nicely using the recommended after care process. I’ll definitely return to the shop, next time for some tattoo work!
