I called on a Friday and spoke with Johnny asking if he had availability to do a tattoo on my forearm and quoted me a price by me explaining what the picture looked like I was referred to him by a friend because she’s gotten tattoos from him before and I just want to say he did an amazing job on my Tattoo . He is a great guy to have a conversation with. He’s funny he makes you very comfortable, I want to say thank you so much and that I will be coming back soon to get a couple tattoos touched up and a couple more that I have in mind, he is awesome and if you wanna go in for a walk in you just call and see if he’s available, but he is an amazing artist !!! I had been searching for a skilled tattoo artist for years to cover up an awful tattoo I had gotten about 20 years ago. Initially, I had Andy tattoo a small constellation on my collarbone and afterwards, we talked about my cover up. First off, a lot of tattoo artists Ive talked to seem to only want to tattoo the big pieces but Andy was totally cool. Conversation was great and he did an awesome job on my little constellation. It healed beautifully! When I talked about my cover up, he pulled up images of some tattoos he had done in the style I was looking for and seemed genuinely interested in doing the work! Came back a few months later and he absolutely knocked it out of the park. I gave him some inspiration pics and he took it from there. I couldnt be more pleased with the outcome and would highly recommend Andy to anyone! Scheduling was so easy. The shop is spotless and smells great, Andys work is awesome!

Awesome place, I wanted a large piece done and the only days I have off are the days they are closed. They opened up so I could get it done. 4 hrs later I walked out of there very satisfied.

I had Stevo do sacred intuitive indigenous line art on my hands. He has even done a touchup, since my skin regenerates at a high rate of speed and likes to push ink out. The ink was high quality natural as it comes. Its been 2 years now and I love them! The shop is EXTREMELY clean. Spotless and shiny. Fast communication via text too. Mahalo!

Made an appointment with Andy for a Star Wars tattoo. Very professional from the start, sent him a pic of what I wanted and he went ahead and detailed it with his touch. On the day of the appointment, he had the final tattoo ready and went to work. Couple hours later the leg tattoo came out super nice couldn’t have asked for a better person to do my Star Wars tattoo!🤩🫶👌

I have gone to Andy for all 5 of my large, color tattoos, and he never disappoints! He does phenomenal with watercolor style, and shows passion in his work, definitely an artist I trust!

First took my son here to get his first- family crest and was SO impressed with johnnys work, rejuvenated my interest to continue with my own- european deer skull (picture fresh still in wrap)- totally in love with the result! Was thinking of holding out a year for another tattoo, but i may sneak another next week before summer lol. also have two touch ups ill be using him for in the future too... actually i think he is my tat guy going forward. a super talented, very professional yet very laid back, just overall good guy (and i know as Im in the people profession:). This was my 3rd tattoo from lunch Box in about 3 weeks. Both the artist are very easy to talk to and very laid back. Even the younger crowd would come in with parents inquiring about a piercing or something, they were very professional about it. The dog tag tattoo was added to my 30 yr old service one.

Very clean shop and friendly artists. David did my tattoo during their Toys for Tots drive and I LOVE it! Least painful and easiest heal Ive had to date. The artists are laid back, easy to get along with, and friendly to a fault.I will definitely be going back to get more tattoos as soon as the Christmas holiday is over and cash flow is positive again.If you want a tattoo in a nice, relaxed environment with some great guys definitely consider stopping by Lunchbox and getting some new ink.Highly recommended!

I absolutely love Johnnys work!!! I have had 3 tattoos done by him and they are fantastic!!! I had him do a cover up on my dads old tattoo and create a large tattoo to go over it. Needless to say you could not even notice the old one. There was so much detail and looked so neat. He is great at his work, fast, precise, and always open to hear what his clients wants and gets it done. These tattoos will be on my body forever, and so glad Johnny was the name I get to say did them.

Went in to get my nostril pierced and it went WONDERFULLY! I already had one nostril pierced and he was very careful to match up the new one with the old one (so that they looked essentially identical on each side). It was quick, simple, painless and the price was average. Def a recommend for piercings!

If I could give it no stars, I would. Not very friendly and too expensive.Got a small ratio on finger and it faded In less then a week. Went back and he wanted to charge me another 100.00.Went over it again and looks even worse. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

I just had my first tattoo done by Johnny. I brought in the idea, he worked with me with the design process and I came back in a couple days later. He worked really well with me especially since I ended up having a harder time since I was a little sick that day. He was patient and put a lot of extra detail and work into the design. I would highly recommend Johnny for someone who wants a tattoo artist who makes you feel comfortable and cares about what he is doing and that you are happy with it when hes done.

The atmosphere is extremely welcoming if youre going as a first timer. The shop is clean, comfortable and professional. The artists are top notch with extensive history of tattooing. Youre not going to find a just started tattooing guy here. These people offer superior talent and knowledge when it comes to ink, skin and piercing!!! Highly recommend.

I recently went to Lunchbox Tattoo for my very first tattoo. I was pretty nervous, but the staff was very warm and welcoming. I felt comfortable and at ease right away. Johnny B is extremely talented and did an awesome job! I plan to go back soon for tattoo #2!

Hands down..Johnny IS the best around! No doubt about it!In the past, before I found Johnny, I got a few horrible tattoos from other tattoo artists that I absolutely hated and they were in places that were very hard for me to hide..Johnny was able to turn those horrible tattoos into nothing but perfection!!! We are currently working on sleeving one of my arms...I get compliments daily on how beautiful and detailed my tats are...I would never let anyone else put something permanent on my body..I would give him 100 stars but they only let you give 5!

Seldom do I write reviews, and never have I written a bad review. I’ve come in before to replace a piercing. Small selection, but understandable.Went in again today with my mom to get new piercings. A guy who does tattoos and piercings was rude to both of us. He was blunt, extremely vague (would only tell us that most piercings are ~$40, which we already knew), and even told my mom that he disagreed with a piercing she had already had before (a single dermal).After stating that he didn’t have time for us, he didn’t even ask us to come back, nor was he open to suggesting other places to get piercings nearby. Very rude, not going back again. I’m 21, and as a manager even I know this is unacceptable— bad day or not, it’s unprofessional.

I first would like to say that they were so fast in contacting me back for both of my appointments. I sent them a Facebook message and within minutes I was booked with “Sara’s husband” I mean Anibal :-) he was so professional with wearing his mask and always asking if I was comfortable and if I was okay with the pain level. First appointment was a matching tattoo with my mom who was in a wheel chair. He helped us get into the building and made sure she was comfortable. My mom has since passed away from years of being sick. Today at my appointment he let me tell her story and cry. He was very caring and a very good listener. I would 100% recommend Lunchbox and would 101% recommend Anibal

Both my wife and I have gotten tattoos from johnny and my wife also got her Monroe piercing from him as well, we both have been very satisfied and will definitely continue to get work done at lunchbox tattoo. As a side note i recommend those of you that have had a bad experience before to come back in and check out the new shop In mchenry I can definitely say its a great experience!

The artist ended up not being able to tattoo me because i had a scar that wasn’t fully healed, but i greatly appreciated the honesty. many shops will do piercings/tattoos when it’s unsafe or not ideal just for the money. shop was clean and employees were helpful and respectful.

I had my very first tattoo at 70 years old in 2 weeks.Beautiful butterfly on Lavender stems,with hearts for my 2 children and and 2 more for my grandchildren....very nice kind man,did amazing work

I went for a nose piercing yesterday. They were super friendly and helpful. I’m terrible with names, so I don’t remember the guys name. But he communicated well, which is a big deal to me because I like when things are explained. He told me exactly what he was doing and took his time to make sure he got it right. Price was also very reasonable.

I just want to express my disappointment. I had someone pick up my child early, my sister took off of work early all because we had an “appointment”, the earlier the better you said. We re-arranged our entire day for this appointment and had to get all hyped up as we don’t get tattoos everyday, especially sisters doing something fun together. When we walked in, no one knew who we are or what we wanted. Again, very disappointing considering the earlier exchanges of messages. Thank you for ruining what should have been a fun experience. We will be taking our business and telling everyone else to go elsewhere.

Tried to set up an appointment and nobody called me back. I understand everyone is low on piercers due to the crisis and not being paid enough, but honestly, I would have appreciated a call-back to tell me so. People have told me about Johnny and his unprofessional responses, but I didnt think it was this bad. Oh well!

Could not be happier with my cover-up! I had the most embarrassing tattoo party botch job and Johnny took the time to re-design it into something I can finally show off without shame. He and his guys are super friendly and give good advice. I had a few suggestions but he explained to me why they would not be the best route to take with it - I followed his direction and am SO happy I did. Trust them - they are artists (not you) and they know how ink can change over time with the aging of your skin. 5 stars for Johnny and the lunchbox crew! Thank you!

We came in for the Friday the 13th special. It was packed! But even tho we weren’t able to get tattooed on that night, Johnny made everything right by calling back and making appointments. He was very approachable for questions via Facebook and was very quick to respond! We had a great experience here!!! I was very very happy with my tattoos and will DEFINITELY be back here for more! Ive been going to lunch box tattoo for awhile now. Every time I go in I get a new tat from jimmy. He does awesome line work and shading is always on spot. When I ask questions or list ideas he always gives me feedback. Like reminding you its on your body forever or just ideas of his own that can relate to your tattoo idea. I respect that. And love the tattoos Ive recieved and cant wait to afford another. Thanks again lunch box. Left me in awe

What a great experience. I took my daughter there to get her navel pierced. Johnny and his employee were very friendly. Johnny was very helpful answering all of our questions. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking to get a piercing done.

Its a shame that their customer service is so terrible, I can only imagine the amount of business they lose on a regular basis. There was absolutely no one else in the shop, yet the artist told me that he wasnt willing to draw up a small 7 letter word for me (which he stated might take him 10 minutes) if he didnt know that I was going to get it. The prices were also a little on the high side, but we would have likely paid them if wed felt valued as customers. I will never return and I will steer friends in a different direction as well.

UPDATE::::Today I went back to get my granddaughter name tattooed on my wrist. When I walked in Jimmy was sitting in a chair and I said hey how are you and his attitude again was dry but I said So am I going to get another smile and he had the nerve to say to me I didnt appreciate the review on line I said what I gave you 5 stars and I said I got you to smile. He went ahead in front of my granddaughter and said that was NOT RIGHT AND NOT NICE. Well I really hope the owner that I met when I went in there the 1st time reads this post: Because do his lack of personal attitude I will never go back there again. Thank goodness I didnt have my credit card or glasses so I had to go out side and left and will not be returning. The parking lot was empty so maybe that is one of the reasons.

Jimme is an awesome guy. He might at first come off a bit edgy but he isnt at all. He is huge not only in his art but the customers experience. There is not a single bad word I can say about my first experience and for future ink he is my guy.

I walked in on a weekend to get a lip piercing and they fit me in right away! I love that there is a tattoo shop right here in town and I’m very happy with what they did for me! The piercer was very professional, specific with aftercare instructions, and the shop was very clean.

I got my tragus and my seconds done here and 1) they did it and it got stuck so it hurt. 2) they just did it without letting my daughter (a minor) know what they were doing after she asked them too. 3) all of them got badly infected (in the hospital) after taking really good care of it. and cleaning it every night and every morning. would not return here.

Great experience last night. Went in to see if a piercing could be reopened. They took time to put in new jewelry without having to completely pierce it again or making me come back. I will be going back to have another reopened in the VERY near future.
