Went for a tattoo today with a friend. Let them know a week ago what we wanted, they had the drafts made up for us. With a couple minor changes we were set to go.Zak did my color tattoo and Lyzard did my friends black tattoo.Both artists were great and super friendly. We left loving both our tats.We will go back again.

I am beyond impressed with the quality of the work, the quality customer service, and how friendly the environment is. My tattoo came out even better than i could’ve hoped. Lyndsey was very quick to draw up a design, and was very friendly in conversation during the process. Some of the other artist would join conversation and it was all over a good time. Zach did an amazing job. Even though it was 2 very simple 15 minute pieces …Zach took the time and care to treat us like we were getting the most complex artwork.Impeccably clean, bright and friendly staff all around.Fantastic experience. First, TINA IS THE MOST AMAZING ARTIST OUT THERE!!! She completed a beautiful colored water color half sleeve for me in just 2 short sessions. The shop is clean, open, bright. It’s a great atmosphere, everyone gets along well with each other. They have beautiful plants and totally got me on a nursery of indoor plants at my own home lol. In conclusion, TINA gave me exactly what I wanted. The tree of life is for my son who recently passed. Everything was tied in together perfectly. The colors are bold, and all tied in together so perfectly. It’s so amazing!! It’s everything I wanted. Thank you thing and thank you to the space mermaid team for being so kind and welcoming.

What a phenomenal tattoo shop! Tina is absolutely amazing. Super clean lines, I cant say that with enough emphasis, SUPER CLEAN LINES. Finding a good tattoo artist is a difficult thing but when you find one, have seen their work first hand on other people and know the quality youre going to get, you feel like youve struck gold. I had the most incredible experience at Space Mermaid Tattoo! All the artists are so welcoming and sweet. I had the privilege of having Spoony as my artist and he made me feel so comfortable. He was so sweet and talented and even put my favorite show on the tv for me to watch while getting tattooed. He designed my dream tattoo even better than I could’ve imagined. He made my vision come to life and added delicate/beautiful details! Even my parents are interested in getting tattoos after seeing the wonderful environment they were working in. My daughter follows Space Mermaid on instagram so we went today to get matching tats. I’ve had mine since 1990 and she wanted a matching one. So Lyndsey (awesome) hooked us up! She touched mine up and copied it on my daughter. She is patient , kind and very talented!

Tina did an amazing job on my beautiful half sleeve! We will be finishing the other half of the sleeve in time. I am literally speechless on how perfect the details are and it turned out better than I ever expected! She’s literally the best my mom and step dad both go to her as well we can’t get enough of space mermaid ♥️ highly recommend coming here no matter who you go to though you will get an amazing tattoo.

Alex is such a great tattoo artist! He made sure we loved the tattoo before starting and he was very detailed in his shading and lines. Definitely recommend making an appointment with Alex. Me and my boyfriend are soo happy how our tattoos turned out.

I love this place! I have been wanting a tattoo with 5 sisters and my mother and they made time on their day off to get us all in! Gave us many options for the tattoo we wanted. So accommodating and the tattoos came out perfect. Highly recommend Lyzard/Lyndsey. She is amazing!!

My son and I are currently on vacation in Melbourne and decided that we wanted to get tattoos on a whim while we were here and so we googled places that accept walk-ins. The reviews of this place were absolutely stellar so we decided this was where we wanted to go. We read amazing reviews about Lyndsey (a.k.a Lizard) so we decided she was who we would like to have tattoo us if she was available. When we walked in we noticed how clean it was which is a great sign. We were immediately acknowledged, and every single person in there was Super nice. They all introduced themselves and Lyndsey was one of them that was there. We were excited to meet her and let me tell you she was everything and more than we had hoped for. We had very specific custom design ideas that we wanted. I wanted a tattoo in my husband‘s handwriting and told her of an image that we had imagined But was not drawn out. I showed her basically a cut and paste idea of what we wanted the image to look like and sent her images of my husband’s handwriting and she made my dream come to life, and I couldn’t be more happier with the quality and absolute perfection that it is. It is literally now my absolute favorite Tattoo. My son also had a custom idea and had multiple images and specific tattoo style types in mind. He gave her free reign to do the tattoo and he loved her twist and style. Her line work is flawless! She she super personable and I literally felt like I knew her my entire life talking to her. She’s super charismatic. I wish we lived closer. I would make her my personal tattoo artist for life. I have a lot of tattoos and have to say this is THE BEST tattoo experience I have ever had. Myself, my sister and my niece were on vacation and looking for a nice place to get a tattoo. Space Mermaid came up and we knew - this is the place! Space - love it. Mermaids - love them. Were in! We called to make sure they had availability for walk-ins and Spoony answered the phone and was awesome from the start to end with the small matching waves my sister and I got. Def recommend this place!!!!

I went in the other day and it was an amazing service. It was only my second tattoo and they were very patient with me. Plus my tattoo only got done in like 30-45 min.But for anyone getting a first or second tattoo you might wanna bring some candy.😁😁

Spoony is the best! I have two large arm tats by him, and he’s the only artist I go to now. Both of my pieces by him are so well thought out and so beautiful. I get compliments alll the time on them. He will take your inspiration pics and create something that is original and far more beautiful.

We walked in and immediately had amazing service. We got a matching wrist design. Zak drew up our idea and we were in the chair before we knew it. All of the artists there are some of the best in the country and theyre also the nicest, most humble people. Found Space Mermaid online along with many other shops for the work I wanted to have done. After reading many reviews of all the shops, I chose to go with Spoony at Space Mermaid. The shop is extremely clean, and the entire staff is super friendly. I was having scripture written in Koine Greek, along with a lower sleeve done. Spoony did an amazing job. Lines are clean, and it looks amazing. Lettering was perfectly placed on my forearm. I need to have some tattoo removal done before I can have Spoony finish the rest of my sleeve. He is very easy to work with, and has a light touch. I highly recommend getting a consult. It makes the entire process much smoother, and the results that much better. I cannot recommend this place enough. I look forward to going back.

Mel just completed two absolutely amazing tattoos for me!! I sent her pictures of the concept I wanted - which is a brain with a band-aid over it to symbolize my brain tumor and craniotomy. She drew an amazing design, placed it perfectly below my scar and drew in the BEST detail!!! The colors are perfect, the design is perfect, the placement is perfect, etc. Super clean and professional!! On top of being a bad @$$ tattoo artist, she’s a cool person! I already booked more ink from my new BFF.

Now that I’ve had tattoos done at Space Mermaid Tattoo Gallery, I don’t think I’ll ever settle for less. They are all so incredibly easy to talk to about my tattoo ideas no matter how off the wall they might be. For example I asked her for a “pretty moon pig” that didn’t look growce or cartoony? She nailed it. Like, honestly I was a little nervous with what she would come up with because ???? But it’s beautiful I almost cried when I saw it. I also got a spooky murder mermaid and ITS NOT COLORED YET because I’m going next week but it’s hecking perfect.I have recommended all my friends and family to go see both Mel and Spoony depending on whatever they’re looking for. Mel has the softest touch and the sweetest disposition. Every second that I am there I feel like I’m just visiting an old friend and getting drawn on. She listens to my ideas and brings them to life in ways that I would have never imagined. The shop is immaculate and they have TVs so you can watch whatever you want while you’re getting tattooed. 10/10 experience, Google just limits me to five stars.

She drew beautiful art and did such excellent shading and coloring, u can’t stop admiring it! The whole place was clean and bright. I love the space mermaid tattoo shop first let me tell you the view is beautiful its right across from the river so while youre getting your tattoo you can look at the beautiful large windows in front and have a beautiful view of the river. The shop is very comfortable and down to earth as well as the people that work there and own it. Everyone there is so nice and makes you feel at home. Now as far as my tattoo artist she is the best her name is Tina Myers she is a wonderful artist as well as tattooist. I went in to have Matt do my family crest on my shoulder. It is a very nice clean place very professional.the problem is there time management and confusing pricing.... we have had 4 done in last month or so... 1st one ran very late after closing and rushed the outline and had to stop because shop was closing 2nd one was 3 hours waiting after appointment time to get started and was told 150....200 thinking of after 3 hours of waiting they would cut us a break nope 200...3rd and 4th were small silver dollar sized stingrays..my Daughter told me the price was around 100 dollars which sounded about rite....to my surprise it was 100 for each small tattoo I think we will probably try to find another place

I was in Melbourne on a family vacation from MN and some of us wanted to get tattoos done. Joe did a small rose on my ankle and he was super nice to work with! Luke is seriously THE BEST tattoo artist in the world!!!! He was so friendly and made my first tattoo such a great experience! Their facility got me in quickly, came prepared with exactly what I wanted, and calmed me through the entire process. Melba made my tattoo experience such a good one. She put me at ease the whole time and never made me feel uncomfortable while figuring out my tat placement. After 5 years of researching many artist and consulting with a several dozen artist I knew I found the right artist as soon as I talked to Matt. My tattoo artist is Matt and I hesitate to say tattoo artist because he is more of an artist that tattoos. His knowledge base of art, tattooing, how tattoos hold up over 5 years, 10 years, 30 years, a lifetime is vast and plays into his strategy in tackling his tattoo projects.My expectations were very high and through effective communication and detailed explanations Matt catered to my every inquiry. It was quite obvious when I started to work with him and question his thought process and reasoning behind every details of the piece from start to finish that he has not only done a ton of research, but also has put a significant amount of thought into his creation of what I wanted.As a person Matt is a great guy and a straight shooter. I didnt always like what he told me, but his answers and knowledge gave me confidence in his ability to perform at a very high and very professional level. Personally I rather my tattoo artist to be brutally honest, then end up with a half done tattoo.It took him 7 hrs to do the tattoo and he finished in 5 hrs. Let me explain; Matt finished after 5 hrs, but went back and made sure every square inch of the tattoo was perfect. The devil is in the details and this guy pays attention to every detail.If it is not obvious I highly recommend Matt and the whole shop!

The tattoo was better than anything I envisioned and was executed perfectly. Amazing dot work, would 10/10 recommend Spoony and space mermaid tattoos.

I’ve been doing a birthday tradition of getting a tattoo. I had gotten my first tattoo done by Petey and then my second tattoo done by Matt. They both did a wonderful job and really brought my ideas to life with an extra flare. They work very hard with bringing the best precision and creativity into their artwork. The tattoo environment was very safe, clean and all around good vibes. Definitely will be there for the next birthday tattoo.
