Merced Tattoo and Piercing Co.

My girlfriend and I drove to this tattoo shop in Downtown Merced to get her belly button pierced on a Saturday because its my go-to piercing shop in the Merced area. When we got there, we were informed that the piercing lady wouldnt be in until 1:30 pm. We went out for a walk and came back around that time, only to have to wait another 30 minutes to 1 hour for the piercing lady to come in. We didnt really mind too much at the time. When we finally went in, the Lady was really inviting and nice, however, it was noticeable that she was feeling rushed. She marked my girlfriend and all looked good. She also reassured my girlfriend that there would be no issues with it and it as all okay. About a month later, we went to get my eyebrow pierced and then also asked about the general redness around my girlfriends healing belly piercing. Looking at it, suddenly the piercing lady suggested that my girlfriend didnt get it pierced with her and she strongly DENIED ever seeing her, making my girlfriend feel insecure and uncomfortable. (We told her we saw her about 3 weeks to a month ago.) The lady was notably rushed again when we came the second time. Overall, good vibes and knowledge about piercings but professionalism and kindness was lacking. My girlfriend and I left the shop that day upset and in anger. We understand that she may not remember every person, but denying that one modified a persons body is just rude and uncalled for.

I was very happy with the ear piercing I received today. The environment was very clean with gloves worn and a sterilized table and needle. The piercing was done quickly and well and I received instructions on how to care for my ear. I was really happy with the whole experience, and gladly recommend this shop!

I typically come to this place to get my piercings, came in to get my eyebrow pierced and I just have to say that Jhon was amazing. Don’t usually leave reviews but he left a big impression on me. Very cool dude, super nice, and I could tell that he knew exactly what he was talking about. Amazing service and the shop is very clean. Definitely come here if you’re thinking of getting a piercing or tattoo, everyone is very talented and friendly.

I have gotten my piercing done a couple of times and the young lady in the shop is beyond amazing. She is professional, it’s clean shop, and reasonable pricing. Highly recommend!

The artist, Chris, took his time and did an awesome job with these tattoos. He made sure I was comfortable and also made sure to have a clean, sanitized work area. As far as tattoos go, they can be painful to some extent. It varies on your pain tolerance. The arm tattoo hurt much less than the thigh one but that was also due to nerve placement (biology) 😎

Got a family tattoo here and had a great experience with Juno. He also did my sons tattoo. Im already planning my next one and of course Its gonna be at Merced Tattoo and piercing CO.

Great environment. All the artist are very welcoming and make you feel comfortable! The quality is astounding! Robert is an amazing artist who is always willing to add his “touches” to your the piece! I definitely recommend merced tattoo & piercing! THE BEST LOCAL TATTOO SHOP AROUND!!!!!

Awesome artists! Ive had some of my best work done by Robert and Thore. I always feel welcome when I stop by to get something done. Theyre willing to work with my ideas to create something that not only looks amazing, but fits well with my other work. They always provide great customer service and QUALITY tattoos.

This is by far my favorite tattoo shop! i get tattooed by Robert and I never have to worry about anything! My tattoos always come out perfect: super clean, they heal perfect, and i literally get compliments on them everyday. And i feel like he’s pretty quick so even painful areas aren’t that bad. Alsoooo, everytime i go in with an idea for something, he always comes up with ways to add to it and make it 10x cooler fr i recommend him to everyone!

I’ve been here so many times for tattoos and peircing and i’ve had an amazing experience from both and everyone there . I always feel welcomed and am attended right away. the piercer is especially really sweet and super enthusiastic about her work. i would definitely recommend check em out and get that piercing ;).

Props to Anem.jazmin for my awesome tattoo. She worked with me and gave me the tattoo of my dreams and added all the details I wanted. The overall feel of the shop was comfortable and everyone was kind. Deff coming back for more tattoos!!

Its clean and friendly and everyone is super professional. My artist, Juno, is so open to suggestions and doesnt get offended if you want something tweaked. A great dude at a great place!

Before getting my ears pierced by showme I had gotten them pierced four separate times with a piercing gun, they would always get infected and wouldn’t heal properly. I now have three lobe piercings and one helix piercing done with needles and they are healing wonderful. I would totally recommend showme for your next piercing.

3 new tattoos, a touch up and my septum done. All very professional and done well. Havent gone anywhere else since I found this shop! Recommended many people already!

Walked in service was great. Went in for a double helix piercings. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. Pricing was reasonable compared to other places and it includes the earrings. Will return for more piercings and will highly recommend to others for piercings. I cant speak on tattoos because I never received any from there.

I got my first piercing here and my pain tolerance is low but it surprisingly didn’t hurt that much. I got two nose piercings by Showme and I was really nervous but she is really nice and helpful. I will definitely be going back. Great service!

Love this shop! Went in with 2 teens for a nose and belly button piercing. The conversation prior to the piercing was informative and professional. The shop was clean and the staff was polite and courteous. During each piercing the piercer made sure to explain each step and was humorous as well. Eating in the middle of the shop would be my only issue but I’m also not sure hat rheir space constraints are. We will be back!

Went there for my first ever piercing and it was such a great experience! Thor was very chill and funny and made the process less anxious for myself Quick, clean and painless, absolutely in love with the results!

Got my belly button pierced with Thore , I would definitely recommend. They got me in and out of there in 20 minutes , before I could even sit down to wait they told me they were ready for me , they’re so friendly here.

Had my first Tattoo with Robert and it was WAY better than I expected. I had heard many warning of how much it was going to hurt, but it was such a great experience. I’m a cry baby but I didn’t even tear up! Loved it! Definitely going to go back for bigger pieces.The atmosphere was great too! Everyone was very friendly and welcoming.

Absolutely my favorite tattoo place! Robert (Bo) has done all of mine. Ive always been happy with how they come out. I bring in my ideas or Ive let him come up with his own such as him adding his own spin on my half sleeve. I go out of my way to show off my tattoos and I cant wait to go back and get more! I went in a hour before they closed to try and get a septum piercing and Showme was able to get me in right away! She did such an amazing job and it was nearly painless.. felt a small pinch and that was it.. she was super nice and easy to talk too! We received two piercings yesterday, our peircer was beyond lovely, however the nose piercing is already showing signs of rejection. I know sometimes thats just anatomy, but its still a bit annoying. The helix is doing pretty okay so far, and still looks and feels alright

I have been to 3 of the artists at this shop, for both piercings and tattoos, and none of them disappointed me. Thor has done 6 piercings for me, and has been extremely helpful with any issues. Juno fixed a tattoo of mine that got botched by another shop, and now its my pride and joy. Steph has given me a very simple but pretty tattoo, and she even did a free touch-up for some lines that didnt quite take. All around great people.

I got a realistic wolf head with realistic roses tattooed by Robert a couple years ago. I walked into his old shop, not knowing anything but that I wanted a wolf. He said that he would draw something up for me. I came in about a week later and he had this beautiful tattoo drew up for me. I demanded we do it all in one session, even though he said I needed to do it in two. (Listen to him when he makes suggestions, lol.) 3 years later, my tattoo still looks amazing. It hasnt faded, it hasnt bled any. His line work is amazing, his work is amazing, everything about it is amazing. I definitely recommend coming to him for a tattoo. To this day, this is my favorite tattoo and the only one that I havent regretted at least once. Also, he was very nice and professional but not stuck up during the process. Im a talker during tattoos and he never once seemed annoyed. He answered any questions I had, before, during and after. I would give more then 5 stars if I could.

I went in today for a nose piercing and once I was let into the shop the guy that did my piercing was pretty rude. Im not sure if he was in a bad mood or what was going on, but it ruined my experience of getting my first nose piercing. Ive heard nothing but great things from friends about this shop so it was disappointing to be treated that way.

This shop is the real deal. Roberts work is amazing and he takes the time to understand what you want. I will not go to anyone else after working with Robert. His lines are crisp and clean ,Ive had so many compliments on the work he has done. Merced Tattoo and piercing should be your only stop if you are looking for Tattoos or Piercings!

They have the best artists around. Its a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. I put off tattoos for so long because other shops didnt have the inviting atmosphere. Dont go anywhere else, this is the one.

I got a cartilage piercing. The store was very clean and welcoming. Everyone was very polite, Thore (who pierced my ear) was nice and pierced my ear very quickly. A little more painful than expected but still quite manageable. Today is the day after and the piercing barely hurts at all!

My artist was Thore. He’s amazing and very respectful. He has a good sense of humor. Also, other artists there are very cool too. I was listening to them while getting tattooed, and they sound like great people.

If I had to rate a tattoo shop like a fine Friday night beverage... This would be top shelf all the way! The absolute finest in ink slinging! World class artists ... Giving World Class experiences... Id recommend them to anyone in the valley... awesomeness personified!

Tattoo artist @robert_tattooer has done both of my tattoos! When he did my very first one, he made sure I was super relaxed and kept asking if I was fine! That being why I had to come back for my second!! I love both of them so much and couldn’t ask for anything more. He took my idea and made it better. I definitely plan on coming back soon for my third.

My daughter and I went in on Monday the 21st to get nipple piercings. We had the honor of getting paired with Seana Jean who is simply the most amazing lady ever. She answered every question we had, took her time to make sure we were both comfortable and cheered us on for trying something new. Honestly if it hadnt been for Seana Im not sure I could have went through with it as I have body image issues but she was wonderful and so welcoming I have never felt so brave and I have to say I dont think ive ever felt sexier. Thank you Seana for an great experience your an amazing Lady.

Ive been tattooed twice at this shop, and both experiences were great. The artists are chill, super talented, and do a range of tattoo styles. Plus, the shop is clean and has a good atmosphere. Id definitely go back for future work.

I wanted a very large, specific, detailed, traditional pinup girl on my arm and was VERY careful in researching where and who would do this for me. After several months of research, I decided on Main St. Tattoo and am SO happy I did. The moment I walked in the door, I was treated with respect and great customer service. I did NOT have a sketch, so Sean, an incredible tattoo artist, drew an original for me that I absolutely adored. Long story short, I LOVE my tattoo, love Sean and plan on going back very soon for my other pinup girl :). The amount of professionalism the staff provides combined with the overall comfort and cleanliness of the shop make this the BEST place in Merced (and the Valley) to get a tattoo. Additionally, I want to clarify that these are NEW owners -- this is NOT the Johnny that originally owned the shop. They may share the same name (although the new owner goes by Little John), but they are different people. Please keep this in mind when reading other reviews -- I wouldnt go anywhere else at this point. Great custom work, awesome artists and all-around great people :)!!

Went in to get consult for a small simple tattoo. Greeted by a nice girl. She direct me to an artist there name Thor. Showed him what I wanted and he asked about the size. I told him I wanted the size that I showed him. He rudely said, I don’t do tattoo that small,” and I needed to go bigger. Well it’s 4x5 inches not sure how much bigger but ok… You can’t do simple lines? It’s not much of a design. It’s not going to look right, if it’s any bigger greedy pumpkin. Then he has the nerves to ask me if it’s the price that I’m worried about lol. No buddy it’s your lack of accommodations to your potential customer’s requests.

These guys are everything. Super chill atmosphere with the utmost professionism. My artist is Juno (@blamejuju). Ive had 4 pieces done by him within this year alone and Im planing on having a sleeve done in August. Ive recommended his work to countless friends and family. These guys are the real deal. Theyre gonna do great. Oh ya and prices are very reasonable.

My cousin got her first piercing here. And once she should me she told me that they didn’t inform her about of types of earrings of sizes they have there to offer. And I had to explain everything to her. And I think that’s unfair to her. She went for a service and i feel they could explain what they offer to her.

Deciding which tattoo I was going to get in remembrance of my Dad was a fairly easy decision. My Dad always loved the Peanuts comics, particularly Snoopy. I chose a dancing Snoopy, and today I went over to Main Street Tattoo and Body. Juno did my tattoo for me, and I simply adore it. He captured the carefree love for life that Snoopy dancing brings to mind. This little simple tattoo will seem so silly and benign to others who get very elaborate, mind-boggling, greatly detailed works of art. My Snoopy will remind me everytime I see it just how fun and loving my Dad always was looking his happiness was infectious. Happy birthday tomorrow Dad, I sure do miss you. I’m going to start off by saying i have a super high pain tolerance and this by far was the most painful piercing i have ever gotten. not only was the septum pierced super high up, it’s also crooked. the jewelry is also extremely small and only one ball shows at all time.

This shop is amazing and very professional!! They will work with you on your ideas and make sure you leave with the absolute best tattoo and piercing!! Robert has and will be my artist but I guarantee you that you can go to anyone in the shop and will leave very happy!!

I was wondering if you have any artists who can do watercolor style tattoos? I have a watercolor piece on my back that I got done elsewhere that I’d like to be touched up as it’s faded a lot considering it’s been less than two years since I got it. I’m also planning on getting my next tattoos in watercolor style but I haven’t been able to figure out if theirs any artists familiar with the style around the area.

I love every here. They are all welcoming and answer question to the best of their abilities. I have received both tattoo and piercings there. Been very happy with both.

I got my nose pierced it was fast and hurt very little but does anyone know the size of the nose rings that they do?

I did a walk in and Thor did my Daith piercing. After getting my conch done at a different shop I was expecting the Daith to be just as painful if not more than the conch but Thor did an amazing job that I’d rate my pain level a 1 out of 10. I highly recommend this place for your piercings. 😁

I got my septum pierced the first day the ball fell off and then a week later it fell out again and it was not how I wanted it. The piercing is way to high and you can barely see the jewelry hang low and since the piercing is so high the little balls on the jewelry it makes my nose tickle

I came in to get my nose pierced and it was a great experience! The lady who did my piercing was super nice and friendly! She did an amazing job as well!

Called ahead to see if I could get a septum piercing, drove an hour or so to get the piercing, arrived and the man who I spoke to on the phone was at the front desk and told me the piercer was not there and there would be no piercings that day. Waste of time that could have easily been avoided.

So I went in the other day and paid $40 to get my septum done, guy used fruity scented cleaner on my nose, when I he got done didnt hand me a mirror to look at it or anything, and when I did look at it was pierced crooked.

Another favorite location of mine especially on Main street. A good client of my Pressure Washin business. Looking forward to getting some touch up work done here.

I felt that we were not getting quality service, people coming in asking Bo questions, interrupting the tattoo process, and our appointment was at 1 p.m. and we didnt get started until around 2:30, just all around not satisfied

Main Steet Tatto & Body is the best place to go to get a tattoo, they have an amazing tattoo artist that not only get the job done and done good also has time to communicate with the customers to make them feel very welcome to be there.
