I had a great experience getting my second hole on my ears. The staff was professional, careful and most of all clean. It was very quick and easy. They explained to me how to care for piercing at home. Very satisfied and will return.

So happy, I found Village Streetwear for my bellybutton piercing. I came and had it done but was not 100% happy. I came back to see if there was anything that could be done and was lucky enough to meet Lesa. She was so sweet, so knowledgeable, took her time to listen to my concern, fixed what I had asked and made sure that I left a happy customer. I will make sure to use them in the future!

Came here to get my daughter’s ears pierced and they look great! The best part of our visit was how incredible Erin was and how attentive she was when my daughter fainted. Would recommend this place every time!

Would not recommend getting pierced here. The piercings they use are too small for ear lobes and do not give your body enough room to expand due to swelling while healing. I got my 2nd ear lobe piercings done here 6+ weeks ago. My first hole healed extremely poorly from the start, and began bleeding and oozing profusely even with adequate cleaning. It hurt so much that I removed the piercing early because I was afraid of getting an infection or keloid. The second piercing, while I thought healed fine, did not. I just attempted to remove the earring to replace it because it’s been more than 6 weeks, and had a very difficult time. Eventually, I was able to pull it out and the earring and the earring back came out in one piece. I’m not even sure how that happened, tbh, but this is how this piercing healed in my ear. Now this lobe is also bleeding and oozing pus.I have many piercings and many tattoos and know how to clean piercings and tattoos. This is the first time I’ve gotten a piercing here, and it is also the first time a piercing of mine has healed improperly. Would not recommend getting ear lobe piercings here. Can’t speak for any other type of piercing, though.

About a month or two ago came in and got my nose pierced and it got horribly infected - I blamed it on the store and wrote a bad review. Note to everyone on here - don’t write reviews based off frustration and not on the business itself. I am so glad that I was so beyond wrong about village streetwear. I came back in to talk to Lesa and I think it’s safe to say I will be going back to her for all my future piercings. I walked in with really zero idea on what I wanted to get and we walked through a few options that would work best with my own anatomy. Ultimately, I chose to get my conch pierced and it’s safe to say I’m obsessed with it. Lesa is the nicest and really takes her time with each customer and is super thorough through the entire process - beginning to end. I have been following the aftercare steps she laid out for me and I am so happy with the results. I don’t want to jinx it so early on lol but out of all my current piercings, this one is healing the best by far. I can’t wait to come by and show her the progress and get many more piercings!

I purchased a belly ring a few weeks ago and when i got home the gems had fallen out. i reached out and i was told i could come back and have it replaced however, its a far drive and i wasn’t able to make it out there to resolve the situation. Lisa not only reached out to me personally but she mailed me a new piece directly to my house. absolutely phenomenal customer service and i couldn’t be happier! thank you so much

All the staff are very kind. Came in to get a piercing looked at from a different place that wasnt healing quite right. Erin helped me both times Ive come, very sweet and professional, really knew what she was doing and talking about. In and out in just a few minutes. Will definitely be coming back in the future!

I am extremely angry with the people from village streetwear. I have been there multiple times, paid for multiple piercings and have received the same extremely rude treatment. I have been denied piercings because of my curly hair and have experienced racism and discrimination everytime I have come in for a piercing. Not only are they racist and rude but they also misinform customers with false information. Everytime I have gotten a piercing they MAKE me buy new clean supplies even though I already have plenty at home. The cleaning instructions they give you are WRONG. I have had to go to multiple different piercers to fix mistakes they have made. Everytime they ask what I clean with, I tell them village streetwears cleaning instructions and they are shocked this the wrong instructions given on the paper they give you. Today, I called in multiple hours in advance to ask if I could get my nose piercing stud switched out for a hoop I had previously bought. On the phone I was told it was no problem and it was going to be 5$. When I get there, I was told I could not change it because my hoop “went through from the back”. Everytime I come here I have to drive 45 minutes to an hour. I have given them multiple tries but this is the last straw. I DONT RECOMMEND!

I’ve been going to village streetwear for over 25 years, dating back to their original Bellmore location. I can not say enough good things about lesa and her amazing staff. They are kind and amazing at what they do. They even pierced my daughter’s ears when she was a baby. They truly know what they are doing and they have a HUGE selection of jewelry. This is where you want to get pierced!!!

Lisa was amazinggggg !! Also staff was great and welcoming. I received piercings on both of my triages. Very Clean , she talked me through the piercing. They recommended some of their cleaners and oils to help with the healing process and it has been helping. I am still healing but I absolutely LOVE my piercings.

My friend recommended me this place since she got most of her piercings here. I decided to come here since I was pretty interested in getting more piercings. As soon as I came into the store, the staff politely told me to wait and get my temperature checked, and she gave me hand sanitizer. I was already quite satisfied since I knew that meant the employees and customers are being treated well. The day that I went seemed quite busy, yet the people at the front desk were still able to properly answer any questions that my friend and I had. I decided to get a second cartilage and conch piercing. I was a little nervous since I got my other piercings with a gun, and this will be my first time getting it done with a needle. Needless to say, the lady who pierced my ears was absolutely. She was super kind, and I loved how she showed me that everything was sterilized. My friend got her piercings before me, and she explained the same procedure twice, and it really shows how professional she is. I was also super comfortable with her, and she made sure I was happy with where my piercings went. Overall, it was a great experience! Never will go back to using a gun again :) Also, to the people who are saying its overpriced, its obviously gonna be a little pricier if its GOOD quality. Feel free to get cheap earrings from someplace else, but you dont know how much damage that will have on your ears if its too sensitive.

I’ve been getting my piercings from Village Streetwear since 16 years old and I can not say enough incredible things about them. Everyone there is not just incredibly kind, knowledgeable and professional. They do an amazing job and I place my entire trust in them. I’ve gotten a total of 14 piercings (I’m counting each piercing individually) with them over the years and I’m so thankful I stuck with them. They preform in an extremely sanitary, and safe environment and always let me know before-hand exactly how they are proceeding. If I’m rushing in too quickly to do something (changing my jewelry too quickly) they always make sure I’m well aware of the risk. I visit them all the time and at this point they all know me by name which is so sweet and makes me so happy. They are so welcoming and I’m so, so happy with all my piercings. I always know I’m safe with them and they always make sure I leave happy. They provide me with the knowledge and tools I need to make sure my piercings heal perfectly and they always do. They make sure I know what I’m doing and know how to take care of my piercings. I appreciate every single one of them and place my entire faith in them. I will never get pierced anywhere else, ever. I recommend Village Streetwear to all my friends. I always know I’m in perfect hands when I’m at Village Streetwear. Thank you so much for everything. You guys truly are the greatest. Wonderful shop and talented piercers. Took my daughter today for her first piercing. They did a great job, very patient and thorough. Will definitely bring back my younger daughter when she wants to get her ears pierced.

Im sure the owner will write a lovely response to my review (yes Ive read her petty responses to other reviews) but this is just a culmination of my knowledge after many years of getting and successfully healing piercings. My piercings from here did not heal well and I ended up getting repierced or jewelry changes elsewhere. This place uses bulky butterfly backs for fresh piercings which are generally not recommended because they trap bacteria easily. Lobes are done with the clicky white cartridges for like $50 (yes I know they offer needle lobe piercings, but its not their default). Colloidal silver spray is one of the main piercing cleaners they sell and recommend, but if you do some research, its a homeopathic remedy and at best, it does nothing. Its a big thing among the anti-vax community. It can cause argyria (skin permanently turning gray/blue from excessive silver buildup in the body). Ive been to several other piercing shops on Long Island and every single piercer I spoke to thought it was crazy that this place encourages the use of colloidal silver and tea tree oil on healing piercings. Just use saline wound wash spray on them (yes I know they sell this too, but they also push you to buy/use colloidal silver and tea tree oil). The APP website ONLY recommends sterile saline wound wash on piercings. To anyone reading this, be diligent and do some research before you put anything on an open, healing wound. Its also confusing because they sell clothes and other random items here. The ladies here are nice, but anyone who comes here to get a piercing will be led astray. Go to a tattoo shop with a reputable piercer, theyre usually cheaper too.

I come here on many occasions for piercings and to shop. Jesenia, Erin and Kerry are amazing employees I have been thankful to meet. Everyone is always so polite and professional. I always enjoy coming here. The store is full of great items, and also extremely clean in the piercing rooms. I would only come here for piercings! Thank you to the VS crew!

I got my bellybutton done, the employees were sweet and the woman who did my belly was so sweet as well. Great at keeping me calm, and the piercing literally felt like a pinch. They also use titanium jewlery which is of great quality and a must for me because of my allergy to certain metals!! I definitely recommend going here if you’re looking for a piercing!!!

Got my orbital pierced today with my brother and it was a great experience! Lisa was awesome and made us feel very comfortable during the process. This is the only place Id recommend for other people!

Kerry was great! Even though I was nervous (I hate needles!) Kerry kept me at ease and was so friendly. Came in for one piercing and came out with 3. Went back a week later for 2 more piercings and another a week after that. Will be going back Saturday for a conch piercing. Definitely recommend!

I got my bellybutton piercing here. They were very efficient and clean. Multiple of my friends recommended and I definitely see why. My mom got her second ear piercing done too and she loved it. I also appreciate how they will change your piercings for you, I got my cartilage changed here.

This is the only place I will go to for my piercings and I highly recommend them. I have been here for pretty much all my piercings and it always has been a good experience. They use all good jewelry, unlike a lot of other places. I see a lot of bad reviews on the healing, but it is your responsibility to take care of it and sometimes your body rejects it even though you are doing everything right. It’s common and most likely not the piercers fault.

Very good for piercings, especially if you get light-headed/ nervous. I got my belly button done. I was getting nervous, but she got it done very quickly and immediately let me sit down. When I said I was dizzy, see she let me lay down on a yoga matt until I was ready to get up they also have lollipops and gatorade for sugar. They also gave a bunch of cleaning products for the piercing. Highly recommend they are super patient and full of knowledge.

I was recommended this place by 2 friends and they did a phenomenal job. If I could give 10 stars, I would. They pierced my daughter’s ears and did a fabulous job. The girls were so sweet to my daughter who was a little nervous. The staff made sure we were informed about after care, they were very clean during the piercing and very professional. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

My 8 year old daughter had a wonderful experience getting her ears pierced here for the first time. The two women were super efficient and so kind with her. She was nervous and they helped so much in getting her through the experience, they even gave her prizes. The jewelry is 14c gold and I found it to be a very decent price. The piercing rooms looked immaculate and the job was done very professionally.. thanks for a great experience!

I was a bit hesitant to get my belly button pierced post tummy tuck because I heard some conflicting facts about skin after the procedure. Lisa addressed all of my concerns and assured me my piercing would take! She was thorough and the piercing was smooth and painless. I got my vertical labret pierced about a year and a half ago and had no issues with the piercing or jewelry for the most part. i went back yesterday to get the jewelry downsized and i don’t know what was put in my lip but it was not good quality jewelry at all. also i didn’t realize the jewelry was externally threaded until i got home and the ball fell off of the piercing. the jewelry has started to infect my lip and i now had to retire a piercing i’ve had for a year and a half because of the quality jewelry i was given here. i would not recommend anyone get an oral piercing here especially with this quality of jewelry.

Loved the store, they had a lot of really cute finds but DID NOT appreciate being watched like a hawk the whole time by one worker. Made me feel very uncomfortable and I did not want to keep shopping. Felt like I wouldn’t have had the same experience if I was one of the white women shopping in the store.

Ive had several piercings done here, as have my kids, and Lisa is absolutely the best, most professional, confident piercer Ive ever met. She has years of experience and it shows. This means a lot, especially if youre nervous. Shell explain everything shes using and talk you through the steps, answer any questions -- I would not hesitate to send anyone and everyone here. Every time Ive been in this shop, the employees are all friendly, helpful, and kind and the store is lovely. Highly recommend!

Great experience. Pierced by the owner Lisa. This is my second peircing done by her with perfection, precision and minimal discomfort. Would highly recommend her if you have anxiety about pain. My septum pain level 0/10, my rook 1- 2 /10.

Brought my 7 month old in today to get her ears pierced. CLEAN. Profesional. They were quick and explained the whole process as it was being done. Showed me all the equipment was clean and sterile. They were fantastic!

Went in today to change the ring of my belly button piercing, which I got pierced at Village Streetwear a few months ago. I was looking for a specific piece of jewelry and was assisted by Kerry, who was very kind and helpful, and found me the exact piece I was looking for! She then offered to change the jewelry for me, cleaned it thoroughly, and changed it very quickly and painlessly, all under 10 minutes. One of the cleanest piercings shops Ive ever been to and the employees are always experienced and very knowledgable. If you have any nerves about getting a new piercing, their expertise and cleanliness will definitely put you at ease. If youre looking to get any piercing, I always recommend Village Streetwear. And if youre looking for a relatively painless belly button piercing or jewelry change, ask for Kerry! Shes great.

I have been going to Village Streetwear for so long, back to when they were in Bellmore. I have always had a pleasant experience. Lisa is an absolute doll. I would never trust anyone with any of my piercings, she has the perfect touch. Of all my piercings I have never even flinched. I highly recommend this place. As a nurse it’s very assuring how clean and sterile everything is. If you want a piercing I highly recommend going here!

I got my nose and ears pierced here, amazing place! Everyone was so friendly and the blonde woman who did my piercings was very helpful and did a great job. Both piercings look and feel great and are healing quickly. I’ll definitely be coming back in the future!!

Honestly I should’ve known better. I had my ears pierced here before so decided to go back and get another ear piercing. The first time I went the employee was so knowledgeable & my piercing was wonderful. The second time… NOPE! It was a different employee. I myself amcertified in NY to do piercings, unfortunately when I changed professions I lost interest which is why I now pay others to do it. I found this place online and thought it was affordable, great reviews and it’s close to me. Anyway when the young lady said she wanted to pierce along the lining of my ear (not taking into consideration that my ears are small and the weight of the earring would eventually make the ear lobe hang) I should’ve ran instead I stayed & informed her of this and guided her to the correct spot. It was perfect when it was done! I had some swelling and thought nothing about it, it’s now a few weeks later and I’m thinking why is it still swollen. Come to find out, I was pierced with fake jewelry!! In all my years piercing ears and having my ears pierced, I never had or used a fake earring to pierce anyone’s ears let alone my own. I’m sure this place is amazing for other people but after this incident I will not return, I’ll go back to tattoo shops or even Pagoda at this point. They get three stars from me and that’s only because every time I’ve stepped foot in this place they’ve been nothing but kind.

I went in for a nose piercing when I was 16 (with parental consent) and they did a fabulous job. They explained the process to me and were so kind. It was quick and easy. Im debating getting a septum piercing and if i do, I know where to go!!

Village Streetwear is the place I would highly recommend to anyone thinking of getting a piercing. I have had a nose piercing and ear piercing done, both by Lesa, the owner, and her employees. Lesa is knowledgeable, professional, very experienced and highly engaged, making sure that everything is explained and shown to you beforehand, stressing the importance of hygiene and cleanliness, both in the tools, procedures used and after-care required. Her employees are also courteous and skilled in what they do. I have total confidence in recommending Village Streetwear as a first-rate place for piercing.

Amazing Experience Overall!!After making the mistake and getting my Helix/ cartilage Piercing done at the Mall with a gun ( not good idea at all ) I found Village Streetwear in Merrick! I took my infant in for ear piercing and Lisa did a great job. Lisa was super accommodating with our times & requirements. We’re a big family and my baby had an entourage of her own, they welcomed all of us and it was a great experience. We all truly appreciated Lisa’s finesse.

I got my belly button pierced and I didnt even feel a thing, I didnt even have any time to be nervous because the whole time I was getting it done the piercer talked to me about other things and I didnt even know she had already pierced it! The pricing wasnt that bad either. It was an overall amazing experience and Im definitely going to shop here again!

Got my daith and helix done in one sitting lesa was so amazing and quick...! Loved this place so much they made the experience so easy that I wanted to come back right away which I did to get a tragus piercing! It was done by someone else didnt get to catch her name but she was also good and quick as well! Amazing people would definitely recommend, these people seem to know what they are doing! The place was also very clean! Cant gush enough over this place! You have to come here if you want a good trustworthy piercing experience! Also the shop is awesome too!!

My five year old wanted to get her ears pierced for her birthday. The staff at village streetwear was knowledgeable, had great bedside manner, and made my daughter feel safe in a professional environment. Highly recommend!

I went there to get my ears double pierced on Sunday 6/30. Everyone at the store was nice and super friendly. There was no wait at the counter or for the piercing. The piercing itself was painless and incredibly quick. We found some great items in the shop as well. Will definitely be back and would recommend to anyone.

Excellent! My 8yo finally decided that she wanted her ears pierced and Village Streetwear made it a great experience. Everyone was super friendly to my slightly nervous little girl and they made her feel comfortable. They did both ears at once and it was over before she had a chance to get scared. She didn’t even whimper and left BEAMING! I highly recommend these piercers.

Lisa and staff were amazing. They answered all my questions and concerns. The first time I went got a 3rd hole and conch piercing. I wanted another piercing, wasnt sure where Lisas amazing knowledge and eye helped me to decide on piercing my Darth. Painless, very very clean!!! Love this place

LOVE LOVE LOVE Village Streetwear! Have gotten several piercings there and wouldn’t go anywhere else for any of my piercing needs. The staff is knowledgeable, experienced and professional and the store is immaculate. Five stars all around! Great shopping too!!

Got my cartilage pierced and re-pierced here after it got infected the first time. Then proceeded to get my fourth hole pierced, which was pierced on top of my third holes and I had to take them out after two days as I could not even fit earrings into my third holes. I actually re-pierced my fourth holes myself and have had no problems since. I then gave village streetwear one more try with my mid cartilage. I have never been unable to sleep due to the pain of a piercing before until this piercing. My mid cartilage was pierced on a complete downwards angle and is incredibly swollen. All FIVE piercings I got from here got infected even with proper after care and tea tree oil. Everyone I have spoken to has an infected piercing from here as well. I really wanted to like this place but after loosing hundreds of dollars to infected piercings Im very disappointed and dont plan on coming back!

I love this place so much, Lesa is an INCREDIBLE piercing artist. Ive gotten a philtrum/medusa from her and my second nostril, her placement was perfect and both were done super quickly. I came in to ask her to change the stud for me because it was a little large in my nostril and she switched it out for me for free. Staff is friendly and the vibe is awesome.

All of my piercings have been done at village streetware, the staff is knowledgeable, friendly & professional. The jewelry is always high quality, I have never had any issues. 10/10 every time!

I went here to get an industrial piercing and this was a very bad idea. The bar was made out of surgical steel, not titanium which is horrible for healing. Second, it is externally threaded which is horrible for healing in that it traps bacteria and is harmful to switch out. It was also pierced on an angle which pulled on my ear and caused a bump to form. Any piercer that recommends tea tree oil is a sign to leave, this will only irritate and make healing longer. She is also not APP certified. I’m sorry but 3 months of infection, irritation just to start over is horrible. I followed care instructions exact too. Just disappointedEdit: Im unsure how to reply but my bumps were from the skin being pushed from it being pierced at a bad angle. Not keloids. Irritation bumps from it pushing against the cartilage, so it was best to remove it.Also APP is a membership, but a member with qualifications and benefits: If they’re a part of the Association of Piercing Professionals, this is always an excellent sign. To be a part of the Association of Piercing Professionals, a piercer has to have had proper training, and their studio must be reviewed by their peers, so you know that the piercer is not only qualified but held up to peer-reviewed standards.

Came here like 2 weeks ago to fix my nose piercing i couldn’t get it through to change it. I needed to repierce it. Lisa did it for me & took care of me & the rest of the staff were all so nice !!! She even pierced it w something special for me bc i didn’t want the other ones . Very good service i def wana go back to shop for stuff! Great little shop ! :)

Messed up my nose piercing. Was in excruiatng pain for MONTHS. Finally went to an actual piercer and they said i was pierced too high up in my nose and it was in the cartilage toward the front of my nose. The store is messy and a few people I know that went there (myself included) had gotten infections a couple days after even with following the proper care instructions to a T. Also, they up the prices of the after-care products that you can get at Spencers.Also, other piercers say the things they demand you buy are unnecessary.The people were SOO nice though, I wish I could in good faith leave a better review. Please, for piercings, go to an actual shop/studio. The clothes and other products are cool though.

The VERY BEST store on Long Island hands down!!! Dana is by far the most knowledgeable & friendly piercer I have ever had the pleasure of working with. She was an absolute gem 💎 with my daughter and her piercing! I have been to Utopia and many many other shops but nothing compares to Village Streetwear’s EXTENSIVE jewelry inventory and/ or VS knowledge & customer service!!! It was worth the almost hour drive from where I live to go and visit this store! I have been searching in Etsy for unique earring design ideas & NO MORE- Village Streetwear is NOW my very own “go to” shop... Trust me when I tell you, you will NOT be disappointed with this store!!! I finally found my piercer.. only took me abou 20 years 😂

I was looking for a place to get my ear pierced and I found Village Streetwear. The staff are extremely polite , they sell a lot of intricate spiritual stuff ( essential oils, stones etc ) aside form the clothes . The woman who pierced my ear was extremely gentle , she explained everything and I didn’t feel a thing . I say check it out

I got my bellybutton pierced here in the past. The piercing process was smooth and very sanitary which I appreciate. I absolutely recommend this shop for piercings. Amazing and huge jewelry selection...Lesa is very helpful!

Went this morning right as they opened. Lesa was not there, and I didn’t want to wait or come back so I decided to try Kerry. What a great experience! She was super professional and gentle. I barely felt a thing (got a daith) and she was very fast. Super pleased and would highly recommend!!

So I had a nose ring fiasco and village streetwear saved the day for me. I took my original nose ring out and had a hard time putting the new nose ring in. I came into village streetwear prepared to have to pay for a new piercing and new jewelry. Luckily they checked my nose piercing, the hole was still open so they put the new nose ring in for me and happily I had to only pay the $5 jewelry installation fee. I dont plan on changing my nose ring often but if I have to again Im coming back to village streetwear. They also have a bunch of fun spiritual stuff I bought a heart piece for my desk at work because I love hearts and am building up a little heart collection in my office.

I have been going to Village streetwear for years. Besides their professionalism and family atmosphere their jewelry is high-quality and extremely clean. I recommend them to all my friends and colleagues. There’s not one thing that I have asked for that they haven’t been able to do and they always go above and beyond to accommodate me and anyone I’ve seen walk into their store.

I don’t understand why so many people are saying the staff are rude because from my experience they were so sweet! i just recently got my nose pierced and the lady that pierced it for me was so kind and sweet and got the job done so well! not to mention this place is a whole vibe and i just love the energy at that place.would def 100% go there again!

Amazing place, the only place you should go for piercings, Lesa is very professional and fully experienced and knowledgeable in all body piercings. Clean and sterile. Her store carries everything from clothing, jewelry, oils and much more.

Village Streetwear is a complete rip-off with over priced merchandise and they do not have clear return policy regarding with some of their services. I recently purchased two pairs of yoga pants which they offered to hand altered for me in the store before I even payed for them. I was not aware of this service before and I have been shopping there for many years.The next day I changed my mind about the clothes I had bought and wanted to return them. On my receipt it said I had 14 days to return any clothing purchases. When I called the store to confirm this, the sales associates that I spoke to were extremely hostile towards me as I explained the situation and refused to give me a refund because the items were altered within the store. As a paying customer they should inform me a head time that I couldnt make this return and had I known I wouldnt have bought the clothes to begin with.

Everyone was awesome. My 5 y/o daughter had her ears pierced last week and they did a great job making her not scared.
