Looking for a highly skilled tattoo artist, I came here on a friends recommendation. The moment I stepped through the door, I knew I was in the right place. The decor and design aesthetics are top-notch, with every corner exuding artistry. The tattoo artist has profound designs and patiently explained everything. For my first piece of art to be permanently on my body, I chose the right place. Highly recommended.

Sylar is Amazing!!! I have been following for a long time and his shop is so clean and professional , he for sure has a passion for the craft and his work is beautiful!! He stayed within the budget, and his passion shows in his art, he is just a really well rounded artist.

AMAZING experience. I have low blood sugar and they were so accommodating for me in case I passed out. Put a fan on, offered glucose tablets and Mountain Dew to stay awake. Nick did my tattoo, I was there for 6 hours total getting a forearm sleeve and it looks so good! Very comfortable, PRIVATE room which I loved. They were very kind and understanding, price was reasonable for a tattoo. Great place and very clean!!

Tyler did such a great job! I requested an angel based off of a reference photo and he went above and beyond with the line work and shading. The place inside was very clean and looked professional. And the staff were very friendly. I would come back again for any more future tattoo ideas!!

I’ve been trying to piece together the right design for 5 years, thanks to Kaii we got it perfect! My experience was great, from entrance to exit. He was great at bringing my wants to life, paid attention to detail and was pretty conscientious of time! I’ll definitely be back to finish the sleeve but this is a great start. This will be my go to shop from now on! Sylar and staff were all very nice, the environment itself was clean and inviting. During the consultation Sylar helped me choose the best placement and explained his reasoning for it, which now looking at it I am very thankful for! I had only ever gone to one tattoo shop exclusively, so finding a new one was a little nerve wrecking, but I am very glad I took a chance on this one. Pricing was reasonable and I loved that the stations were in separate rooms to give that extra privacy during your session. I will definitely be going back to finish up my arm!

This is by far my best tattoo experience in Houston (it’s my 7th tattoo). The place is neat and my artist (Sylar) did an amazing job taking my wishes and turning them into my tattoo.They offer all sorts of colors and work with great detail. Prices are good, especially considering the cleanliness and quality of the work.They also fixed an old tattoo I had and corrected a previous job from another shop.I will definitely go again and fully recommend it!!!

This is now our (my sons and my) third (fourth?) visit and we will go back here every single time! We always schedule with Kai but this was just a quickie so we walked in without an appointment. Still the same amazing, professional service, expertise, efficiency, and skill we have come to expect from The One Tattoo ❤️. Two simple tattoos plus a nose piercing and we were in and out in about an hour. Perfectly pleased as always!

Very happy with my tattoo that I got done here! I went in first for a consultation and Sylar listened patiently while I explained the design I had in mind. The facility itself is excellent and very clean. My tattoo was small but required delicate line work and in the end I was extremely happy with how it came out! Would 100% recommend this place. You guyyyyyyyys! This hidden gem was great. You walk in and the place is SO clean. Each artist had their own room and both were dope! My artist had a new playstation and a STACK of games to choose from if you wanna play while he does the tattoo. He also had a badass record player and again, a STACK of records to choose from. My daughter’s first tattoo was a perfect success!!! Masterful work! This place is truly a diamond in the sand. Initially their operating hours was what drew me since they were open on Sunday. The place is very clean and professional and they tailored to my ideas. Definitely recommend doing the consultation and allowing them to make your custom tattoo. My wife and I both got tattoos by Li at The One Tattoo studio. We love them!Li was patient with selection, sizing and placement. Never rushed us & was willing to re-stencil as many times needed to make sure it laid exactly how we wanted. Soft touch. We’ll be back for sure!

I have may tattoos BUT this is by far my best experience I have ever had! Sylar took the time to design exactly what I wanted! He made the time to make sure the placement was exactly how I wanted it. When It came time to get the tattoo it was painless! Getting my eyebrows threaded hurts worse to be honest! Sylar has the hand for doing tattoos & is an amazing artist! Highly recommended!

First off, Kai is absolutely wonderful! I have a few tattoos varying from different shops, and I never truly found an artist or a shop that I liked and wanted to stick with... until I found this place! It is so clean and professional. My first appointment with Kai, he sat me down and did a full consultation, making sure that I would be satisfied before I was even brought to the back for the tattoo. He made me extremely comfortable the entire process. I went back to him again for a touch up, and the process was so smooth as well. He is so nice and Im glad to say I found my tattoo artist for all my future tattoos!! The staff is so nice, I recommend this place to everyone!

Met with Sylar roughly 3 months back to go over the design. I didn’t have anything in particular in mind just knew I wanted a scifi space theme. Sylar met up with me a week later and had a few design options and was open to my suggestion. He understands the importance of getting something you are happy with and made the adjustments to the design accordingly this time layering it so that I could see the individual planets/stars. We made a few minor tweaks then had the day scheduled. This was my first “real” tattoo and Sylar made sure I was comfortable and we took frequent breaks. The area was sterile and he consistently checked in with me to make sure I was ok. The first session took a while but we got 4 hours of work done and I was really happy. After healing a month later we did the other half and even on the day of I made a change and asked him to change something previously done and he was completely accepting of it. In the end I am super happy with it and will be going back to get the other side of my arm done from him.

As soon as I walked in to The One Tattoo, I knew I chose the right place for my coverup. The interior of the store is impeccably clean and everything looks very professional. The tattooing rooms are comfortable and well-equipped to handle hours of tattooing.I sought out Sylar after seeing his work online and I was more than impressed by his skill. Sylar’s talent for tattooing is incredible. I came in for a cover-up and he freehanded the design from a reference picture and totally amazed me by how he made my old tattoo completely disappear.

His name is Tyler. It’s nice to know that when they hire new tattoo artists, that they have level of experience and quality is way up there in order for them to be on board at the One. Again, this tattoo was relatively simple, but had meaning to me as most tattoos due to their owners. I was very satisfied with the outcome and the level of professionalism, Tyler gave me. As I said before, if you’re looking to get a tattoo, I would highly advise stopping by and giving them a visit. I believe you will be very satisfied.

I recently walked in to see if they had time for a tattoo and they were able to take me. The shop is very clean and comfortable. Currently working on a full sleeve (black background with ethereal watercolor lotus and peony flowers). The quality of the tattoo is better than any of the other work Ive had done, my artist is so light handed and its honestly so refreshing compared to the heavy handed artists Ive previously had. Even the pricing is better for what Im getting than anyone else Ive consulted. 10 out of 10 highly recommend this shop. Not as welcoming as other reviews say, walked in, wasn’t greeted, it was empty, quiet, and it felt awkward, especially since it was a weekend. They also overcharge for their work. Overall awkward experience. I’m guessing once they gain more traction in the community it’ll get better.Its super close to where I live so I wanted to become a regular, but I think I’ll stick to the studios further into Houston. lucky dog tattoo, battle royale tattoo, and others. You can find personable and comfortable experiences, quicker and more communicative artists, and fairer prices for their work there.

I just went recently end of May 2023, my sister came along. Sylar is amazing, professional, very nice, knows what he is doing when it comes to any questions on tattoos. He was very understanding on what I wanted my first tattoo to be, and so so happy he made exactly what I wanted. I got the spine tattoo with water colored lotus on top & Chinese quote at the bottom, and he translated it for me correctly which was meant to be! My sister went to Kai for her first tattoo and it was delicate dot work and it was a very easy process for her. Both Sylar and Kai are the best, we both will be coming back most definitely! If you are looking to get a tattoo done the best of the best, come by the shop & make an appointment! Very nice on the inside and looked very clean. I did a walk-in and still didn’t wait very long. The entire staff was very polite, they offered me a drink walking in the door. The price was cheaper compared to other places i got it quoted at. The owner did mine and he had a gentle touch. This was my first tattoo and it was a great experience. I would definitely go again or recommend anyone else to them.

Well I’ll be back for sure. Sylar was so patient and kind with me. I came for a full shoulder tattoo and chickened out. Started panicking about pain and asked instead for a small wrist tattoo. He took the time to recommend good body locations for my first (professional) tattoo and explain the process to me. He was meticulous and so detailed in his work! This man can make any design come to life. Such talent. And the pain was so minimal I’m now excited to return for my full floral shoulder. The place is new, clean, modern and bright. Got a chest tattoo after a double mastectomy and Kai was my artist. He did a great job, he is easy to work with and he did my tattoo in water color style and it came out amazing. The place is convenient to my location and is clean and staff friendly. They even offered drinks and snacks.

If you are looking for a bad decisions after the bar tattoo joint, this is not it. The professional and friendly staff go the extra mile. You fill out forms on your phone and they can even produce graphic renderings on a photo of you, taken there, to show what it will look like on you. Helps in making that final decision. Definitely an establishment I will refer too and go again.
