I recently had the pleasure of visiting Big Joe & Son Tattoo for a nipple piercing, and I must say, the experience exceeded my expectations. Skye was the professional who performed the procedure, and she was absolutely amazing. I was initially nervous about the potential pain, but Skye took the time to thoroughly explain the process, including pre- and post-care instructions.The procedure was so quick and seamless that I barely realized it was over. Skye’s professionalism and exceptional customer care made me feel completely comfortable throughout the entire experience. I’m thrilled with the results—the piercing turned out beautifully, and I couldn’t be happier with how my breasts look now.I highly recommend this place, and I strongly suggest asking for Skye. Thanks to her expertise, I didn’t feel any pain, and the whole experience was one of the best I’ve ever had. Got my last three piercings here with Skye and they were all perfect. Everything she does is professional and her work is very cleanly. The prices are good and she’s very kind. I cannot recommend Skye as a piercer enough.

Such a neat and clean place. Skye was truly the best piercer I’ve ever had. No infections, no pain, and great company. I went to make sure that it wasn’t infected and she explained do’s and donts with helix piercings. 10/10 will forever recommend her!

I had my first tattoo in this place about 10 years ago, and recently had another (my second) round of ink provided by Jamie, a truly talented and skillful artist. My wife also had a tattoo created/designed by Jamie, and a perfect execution to a complex cover up. Personable and patient, he managed to make us feel very comfortable in a complex procedure.In this place, I was able to see a good community of colleagues, and enjoyed the friendly and helpful advice of Emily, Alex and other artists. Premise is clean, high standards are kept in terms of processes, administrative functions and scheduling. Looking forward to coming back to this reputable business, and will continue to recommend to anyone looking for quality tattoo and a pleasurable experience with caring individuals.

Skye is the best piercer hands down I just went to her this past summer she reopened my monroe and i was just there 4 days ago she pierced my tragus. Very gentle, cares about the customers and she always explains everything shes about to do and how to take the proper precautions on how to take care of your piercing. Also the shop is always clean !

Got a Medusa and a labret! From skye she is amazing and sweet , talks you through the process and you feel comfortable. Anyone looking to get a piercing most definitely go to her! 10/10! I don’t have the picture of the labret yet but definitely check out her instagram. Her work shows for it self! @skyepierces got the Medusa on Saturday and then got the labret today! She is that awesome that I was ready to go back so fast.

Skye has done now 3 amazing piercings for me over 3 years (septum, conch and tragus) and I’ve been so pleased with how they’ve healed and are healing and she takes the time to thoroughly explain each step along the way which definitely helps to calm the pre piercing jitters! She gets the placement right every time with little to no pain and that combined with the cleanliness at Big Joe’s is enough for me to recommend this place to anybody in the area!! They also have a huge selection of jewelry available to purchase. Will def be back!

I’ve gone here twice, last year for my nose piercing (which came out perfect) and this week for two tattoos. First off, e mailing them with all my crazy questions, they always answered me quickly and respectfully! They are CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN! I worked yesterday with Mario for my tattoos and he was amazing- I was not rushed throughout the process, he kept asking if I was alright, opened all of the products in front of me and kept me informed throughout the session. I will never ever go anywhere else, this place rocks and they have amazing artists! He made sure I was comfortable, educated on my aftercare and my pieces came out better than expected! He has an amazingly steady hand and I barely felt a thing! I can’t say it enough- I’d never go anywhere else again! Thanks again 🤘

I got my first tattoo here 12 years ago when I turned 18 and it still looks awesome. I just went back a few days ago to get my nose pierced - awesome experience. Emily did a great job explaining everything to me, showing me the brand new supplies shed be using on me, to telling me what she was going to do before she did it. She was extremely professional, quick and friendly. Highly recommend her for your piercing needs. The shop in general is always VERY clean and they take Covid precautions very seriously. Id recommend Big Joes to anybody that is looking to get tattooed or pierced.

I couldn’t find a quality tattoo/piercing place to take me in as a walk-in septum piercing today, as I had a day off and wanted to do something spontaneous, until I called Big Joe and Sons, which had me in for my appointment within the half hour. Skye (not sure about spelling) was such a lovely, precise piercer, ensuring that my experience was comfortable and painless, and that my piercing would be placed perfectly to suit my face. I’ve never had a bad experience here. All staff members have always been very professional and knowledgeable. Thanks again!

Big Joes has been recommended to me by my uncle for a while now. I needed a very last minute appt for a dedication tattoo for my god daughter whose going through a very difficult time. My artist was Alex. I had emailed in pretty much exactly what I wanted. I was done in less than 15min after I sat in the chair. Thanks for a great experience!

I got two ear piercings done by Emily and she did a great job. She was super friendly and explained everything she was doing as she went through the process. I contacted them via email to set up an appointment, they got back to me in an hour and I went in later that day! The environment was casual and friendly, I would recommend them to anyone!

Go to Emily for all your piercing needs! I got my rook pierced (ear) and was so nervous, but she was super calm and made me feel better. The actual piercing felt like it took two seconds and did not hurt nowhere as much as expected! Everything is very clean and Emily did a great job of explaining what she was doing. Trust me--go to Big Joes and ask for Emily, you wont regret it.

Got my nose pierced yesterday by Kira! She was fantastic. The establishment is super clean and takes great health precautions. I had my piercing a few weeks ago. The shop was clean. I had Skye and she was warm and friendly. I felt at ease with her. She addressed all my questions and concerns professionally. She wasn’t pushy or hasty. A++

This is now the only place I will go! Emily has done multiple piercings for me, most recently she did a dermal, and I’ve never had any problems. She’s always nice, explains everything, happy to answer any questions and has helped me change jewelry. Jay is working on my sleeve and I absolutely love it, I get compliments all the time.Everyone is really nice and it’s very clean!!

Piercings came out fine but I didn’t like the fact that my piercer was very inattentive, she kept leaving the room multiple times to attend other customers. Almost felt like as if she was stalling piercing us. Prior to this we waited at the front for a while although we had an appointment.

Do not get dermals there!! My sister had 2 dermals done and both fell out. Ive tried to change my dermal (done by another shop) there twice and both times the girl killed me and couldnt change it. Said its not able to be changed. Went to another shop they changed it in 5 minutes. They are inexperienced . Not to mention they dont even look up from the desk when you walk in. You sit there without even being acknowledged. No hello. I had a 4pm appointment and had been waiting since 345. At 4pm my piercer left to get lunch.Just very unprofessional. Would not go back!

Staff is really friendly! Emily has done a bunch of my piercings, she is super helpful always does a great job! The tattoo artists are helpful really nice, a few of my friends have gotten tattoos from a few of the artists and they always come out great! highly highly recommend!!!!

Yesterday i got my tragus pierced here, and the staff was great. I didn’t handle the pain very well and was very light headed and dizzy and no one left my side once. The whole staff came in to make sure everything was ok and brought me water and candy to help me feel better. The piercing is adorable and placed great. They have a very friendly and professional staff who are very accommodating and i would recommend this shop to anyone who asked.

I got a naval piercing done two weeks ago and it was a great experience! I was in and out of the parlor super fast and they made me feel very comfortable while I was there. They showed me the needle that they were going to use and showed me how every piece of equipment was brand new and sanitary!

The staff here is incredible. Jamie is an amazing artist and the only person I will go to. Aside from his unbelievable talent, he is also very personable and flexible. I always recommend everyone who asks about a tattoo artist to go to him and the ones that do are always SO pleased. The rest of the guys are fantastic also. You will walk out of here with a quality piece of artwork no matter who you go to.

Got my nose pierced by Emily this evening.. She was AWESOME!!! Further, she knew I was nervous but was very patient and when I let her know I was ready, she was quick....over and done with before I knew it. Great little place, VERY CLEAN, friendly staff, willing to answer any questions and or concerns. Highly recommend this place for all body art.

Nephews finger tattoo gone in less than 2 weeks.. i know that area is sensitive prolly takes 6-8months before it fades.. but less than 2 weeks? nah! mom called u guys said no refund, no apologies, no discount for new tattoo.☹️

I called on a Sunday asking if I could walk in and get a tattoo done of something I drew. I was luckily told if I got there in an hour, Mars would be able to do my tattoo. Mars was great. He was professional, and copied my drawing exactly how I wanted it in less than an hour. They seem to do great work here.

I went to Big Joe and sons tattoo on Rt.6 Mohegan lake to have an existing tattoo worked on. I had the pleasure of meeting Cuda, He works on cover ups and or enhances tattoos as he was able to do with mine free style no less with little effort. He did an outstanding job. I highly recommend Big Joes and sons tattoo. I will be returning on Sunday so that my wife can get a tattoo as a birthday gift. Thank you Cuda.
