Paid upfront a $100 deposit, once Cory got around to do the sketch, it was awful and asked him to look at the examples I sent him. His second sketch was the same but different position. very clear he didnt put time or effort at all into it. I even drew up a sketch for him to go off and still no improvement on his part. I even tried to put the deposit towards a flash sale and he was too busy and I was going to come back. Once I came back in he had said he deleted the sketches he was working on, but I could still get the tattoo... of what sketch, since he said he had deleted them. The policy says deposit is non refundable on AGREED upon tattoos. So beware working with Cory as he will take your money and not even try to draw anything up. On a good note Amber is wonderful always friendly and a great piercer! I should of just went to her for a tattoo instead, lesson learned.

Had a horrible experience, was met with a lot of hostility for what should have been a very easy, straightforward process. We were treated like an inconvenience more than customers and when we dared to question the poorly drawn stencils, we were told they wouldn’t be helping us after all. Contrary to what they’ll have you believe it is not standard to have to pay for your tattoo up front and a parlor that only accepts cash should be a red flag since quality art costs quality money. Besides, not having an atm while having that policy is beyond strange and bad for business.Do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else. There are hundreds of tattoo artists who care about you getting what YOU want, not just what they feel like giving you. Don’t let these people bully you into getting subpar work.

Cory was very professional and did a great job on my tattoo tribute to my kids, I got exactly what I had asked for. Gave Cory an idea of what i wanted he drew it up, and it is perfect. Inkwell is my trusted source for great talent in Mountain Home Ar.

Super solid tattoo parlor.Austin did a superb job and was fun to hang out with while waiting on other tattoos to be finished.

Al and Rick are some pretty cool dudes. Rick throws some awesome ink and his lines are always on point! He has done four of my tats, including one of my daughter’s footprint from the day she was born. It looks exactly like the one from the hospital. I hate that I moved so far away, but the 4 hour drive is so worth it for him to be the one doing my body art!

This place is absolutely amazing they make you very comfortable. Albert was amazing. Will definitely go back.

Great staff, artist on point. Did fabulous rendition from picture. Commemorative tattoos for/of their fathers tattoo. Both were Happy to show their father and had the picture with the original.

Updating my review from 3 years ago, had a good experience then. Had a great one again! Highly recommend Gilbert. I walked in a few days before and gave my idea which he put together perfectly. He drew it up over the holiday so I could get it done before leaving town tomorrow. Did a great job, its exactly what i envisioned!

Did a walk-in with Zach today and the tattoos turned out awesome! Super happy with them! Got the 25 and 2 arrows.

Just got a tattoo here and it is so beyond perfect and beautiful. I believe her name was amber not 100% sure. She was amazing, she was sweet, and funny, anf honestly made the whole first tattoo experience amazing for me. Absolutely recommend.

A pretty good place to get some ink, however, be prepared to have a long wait. They tend to be more picky about their clients. I understand that they only have 1 primary artist right now but some folks have been waiting to get their tattoo for months. There have been more than a few people who have gotten picked ahead of them and had ink done. They do absolutely good work sure, I just feel they need to be a little bit more open to getting their backlog done. I will be going to a different Tattoo parlor until they seem to pick up speed. This other place offered to get me in almost immediately and they themselves have a busy roster. Yes, they have more than 1 artist, I get that, just wanted to note. Inkwell is good, they just need to step up their game.

The atmosphere and staff are amazing they make you feel comfortable and thank you Rick for the amazing tattoos you have done and I will definitely be back...... I would recommend that nobody goes to black dagger I paid way too much for what I got and the tattoo is not quality like you will get at inkwell and both the tattoos I have had done at inkwell were cover ups and nobody can tell they were cover ups! Also the pricing is very affordable and I cant brag enough on how amazing the staff is and outstanding and very helpful. Thank you inkwell I cant wait to come back!

Loved my time there as a walk in with my friend. Didn’t take long to draw up what I wanted and even made it better than I imagined. My artist was amazing all around. Great personality. Great skills and super cute. I’ll be back to have him do my next! 😊

Although I am greatly overdue for some more ink, Ill still leave a review of my past experiences. Ive gotten both tattooed and pierced here. Albert is incredible. His line work is stellar and hes fun to visit with while hes working on you and his work is some of the best around...Ive been tattooed and pierced by Rick, his line work too, is also great and I have a tattoo from him from 12 years ago and it is still beautiful. Just a very relaxed shop, not uptight or in a hurry..... thats why their work is amazing.

Deceiving nice on the outside hopefully inside, running down the fellow American just out here trying to do something horrible never get tattoos here, dirty they don’t clean their tattoo guns trash in the back. Been there for weeks. People are just complete d*cks!!! more than glad to take calls from questioning customers for further explanation. God bless and have a nice day.

I didn’t have an appointment, so I walked in on a Friday night, and had no wait time! (I still recommend making an appointment though, it’s polite.) I wanted a simple, small tattoo, and the artist went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the design, size, and placement. He carried on a great conversation while he worked, so I was very comfortable. The place was clean, staff was friendly, and it was a great experience compared to my first tattoo that I got elsewhere. I’m not sure how many more tattoos I’ll get, but I know that I won’t be going anywhere else. My tattoo turned out beautifully, and I’m very happy that I went to Inkwell.

I called to inquire about getting my daughters ears pierced, she is underage so I wanted to double check what was stated online which is that they do have the service, but when I called the woman who answered the phone said no and hung up so fast I barely had time to finish my question. My husband and were also considering places for our next tatts, needless to say this will not be the place we use.

They do very good work! Even fixed a screw up of mine.

Went here with kids last year to get tattoo and they where all awesome, great artists, clean lines , and reasonable prices 👍we can’t wait to get another one next month when we come back for vacation ❤️

Extremely happy that this shop has a permanent cosmetics artist! Saw Carly for permanent eyeliner. She did an awesome job and was super nice. Will definitely be going back to this shop.

I drive 3 hours just to have these guys do all of my tattoos and piercings. Their work is extravagant and very detail oriented. The atmosphere is laid back and the staff is outgoing and make you feel like youve known them your whole life. An overall great group of people with pride in their work

Walked in, told them what I wanted and within 2 hours walked out with a beautiful tattoo.

Ed is an amazing artist! Not only is he creative and talented but everything is extremely clean and professional. Not only has he done my work but I have referred him to a lot of friends and everyone is always extremely happy with glycerin experience and his work.

They were super nice! I had my nose and my 2nd holes pierced on my ears. The guy that pierced me was super helpful with tips I could to improve healing. I would definitely recommend going here.

Scheduled an appointment down the street from Inkwell , drove an hour to sit for another hour. Only to be told that the tattoo artist was having trouble drawing. We then left and drove over to Inkwell and scheduled an appointment. They did an Amazing Job, got us right in. Very clean professional , laid back shop. Exactly what we needed, we will be back. I got 2 tattoos from Inkwell and the first one I got was great! The second one however was rushed and the lines were very inconsistent and rigid. The second one was a custom design and they did not try to consult me and make sure they were doing it right. The first one was done by Albert, and he did a good job! Very disappointed with the second one I got. I don’t plan on coming back.

If you can get ahold of anybody it’s still useless. I’ve tried multiple times to get a tattoo here and they don’t answer their phone. They aren’t open during their set hours and once you finally get to talk to somebody they just push you off and ignore you. Ive spoken to two artists here. One was always too busy and the other one will take the time to look at what your wanting then just push you off without giving you your quote or even bothering to acknowledge it after the fact. They’re good at forgetting you.

Pretty new to the area and was looking for a new tattoo. Went into Inkwell and asked if they minded if I just hung out for a while. They were pretty busy slinging ink, but they didnt mind me taking up some space in their lobby. Im from a larger city and grew up around tattoo shops. Arkansas can be a bit funny about counter-culuture folks, but the atmosphere in the shop was just stellar. People smiling and joking around. Eventually the place cleared a little and I gave a rough sketch to the assistant, she got me a quote and gave it to the artist. He took my simple sketch of some moths and turned it into something really sleek and honestly just perfect. Told me to relax like you own the place and he got to work. Quick, clean, awesome atmosphere. Very happy with my work. Thank you Albert, Rick, and Amber for letting me awkwardly hang out in your shop! And thank you for the awesome artwork. 10/10 would reccomend.

Tattoo Rick is good at what he does. Hes a good artist. He was quick, yet thorough. I left happy with my tattoo looking better than Id imagined in my own head.

I didnt hate them... Ive used them and have gotten some beautiful tats! It just seems like its all about the money. I usually get big tats. When I want a small one. Im the last to get in. Good work but its all about the money. What isnt.. right? Right!

Amber did a wonderful job of piercing my tragus very thankful to her. She calmed my nerves and was very professional and sanitary ! I will be back !

Visited a friend & went n got 2 thigh tatts for a very reasonable price. Very clean environment, staff friendly, music & atmosphere was welcoming. Most def will return next summer & get another tattoo :) I will def recommend this tattoo shop to my family/friends!

I had them do a tattoo for my sister that passed away a few years ago. They designed it with her signature from a card and the brain cancer ribbon. It was better than I could have imagined. Not only their work but how kind they were through the whole thing as I cried like a baby when it all hit how real it was. They will always be my go to for tattoos and piercings.

They inked very well😏. Four of us came in randomly and they fit us in quickly. We had the best time. They have a great sense of humor. Thank you all!

Rude - updated belowUpdate; Albert sent me a FB messenger message to fix the problem. When I woke up and tried to reply he had blocked me. So I never got to tell him that this was the 2nd time in 2 years Id been in his shop and was treated rude. And the staff didnt seem interested in my idea, even though I explained I wanted the artist impression. I even offered to leave a down payment and it was declined. They just dont seem interested making a nervous person more comfortable or interested in their customers ideas

Went in to get a tattoo. Was quoted a price and was very happy with initial visit and Was told Id get a call in two weeks to get it done and its been months and nothing! Guess thats the way we do business in this town. Smh

I’ve had two tattoos done here, both of which were by Albert, I’m going back today and I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else. Amazing place, he makes great conversation to keep your mind of being nervous, he’s gonna laugh with you and make you feel like you’re not even getting ink done. Love this place and I’m never going anywhere else!

Everything is fine, but the price of piercing the ears of a child surprised $ 50, despite the fact that the earrings were ours, unreasonably expensive.

I called in advance to request an appointment for a Friday and was told they did not take appointments on Friday. The said we should arrive at noon to get on the list. We were first in line and when we got into the shop, were told we needed an appointment. We had both taken the day off work so we could be there at noon and my friend traveled 3 hours to be there. They said it was because the tattoo was too large - it was NOT. It was approx 5x9 with very limited detail.

Rick, Al and all staff are great. Inkwell is where I always go for my tattoo needs. I got this cutie yesterday, August 25th 2017 and, as always, it was perfect. I recommend Inkwell Tattoo Company for both tattooing and piercings.

Very helpful. This was my first tattoo which was a memorial for my son. Prices are reasonable and people were nice. I would definitely recommend them.

Some things to know before going to this shop.1. If you are getting a piercing and you are under 16, you need a parent, an ID and a PHYSICAL birth certificate.2. Bring CASH. Its a cash business.3. If you are getting a small tattoo, know what you want and bring it.4. If you are getting a larger tattoo, make an appointment during the week.If you go into this shop expecting to get work.... Expect to wait.... And wait... I waited 7 hours on a list while many others got their work, never got a call. I had to call and go in many times to check the status of said list, only to finally be told I wouldnt be seen. I went in 40 minutes after they opened. That was the second day I went back. They do not have enough artists to keep up with demand. Disappointed...

Rick and his apprentice were both fantastic, very clean and chill atmosphere, definitely coming back.

Great guys here. Shop minimum is $45, but they are a little pricey beyond the minimum. Fantastic work, totally worth the price.
