I got my first tattoo here, and I have been back for more. Hands down, the best tattoo shop ever! I have been tattooed by two other artists, and their work is good. However, Ash did 3 of mine and they are my favorites, as well as the best work I have. I do have to say to the folks who posted negative experiences, well... you made it negative yourself. They will not put a copycat tat on their customers, they will not lay down something that wont look anything less than perfect. These guys are amazing and the shop is super clean.

Max and Ash are both great artists. My husband and I both have been tattooed by Max several times. The best service, top quality drawings, and he has always brought our ideas to life in the most professional and beautiful ways. The best you will find in the area if not the state!

Ill never forget the first time I got tattooed by Maxx. I came in with a jumbled up idea that he turned into an amazing piece of work that I get complimented on at least once a day. Hes turned bad tattoos I received from other establishments into amazing pieces I am proud to show off. I have so many ideas for more pieces and Ill never go to another place - no matter how far away I move. Its more than just getting a tattoo with these guys. You pay for an experience that makes you want to come back just to hang out. I cant wait for my next tattoo from these fine gentlemen, and you, gentle reader, would be wise to schedule your appointment today.

Max did a FANTASTIC job tattooing over the scarred tattoo another local shop had done. It is absolutely better than what I had originally wanted and healed much much better. He listened to my requests and took them into consideration along with my skin tone and size to make the best decisions for my ink. Great shop!

Ash did my first tattoo during his Baton Rouge days. When I was ready for my next one, I learned he had gone to Nakatosh.... 3 hours away. I make the drive every time I get ink. Hes done all 5 of my tattoos. Max is great, too. He teamed up with Ash and did mine and my Gemini sisters matching tattoos at the same time. Love them and the shop is awesome!

2 guys with remarkable creativity and artistic talent. Whether you get Max or Ash, they both honor tattooing by maintaining a high standard of work ethics so anyone should feel safe and relaxed in their hands. And not only is their shop a nice clean environment but there’s a bit of tattoo history or something interesting to look at every where your eyes travel.

Got a tattoo from Max, a cover from an old tattoo. He did an amazing job, and now I have a beautiful geisha on my back. Both Max and Ash are great guys, and amazing artists. The only reason I do not have more tatoos from them is that I moved out of the state.I definitely recommend them.

Max did my first tattoo and did an amazing job! Almost 6 years later and it still looks phenomenal. As soon as we move back, we will be paying a few more visits for more tattoos! Clean, professional, and absolute superb work!

I have had 3 tattoos done at this shop all with Ash. One is still in progress and looks absolutely​ dope. These chumps posting one star reviews have no appreciation for the point of creative original tattoos. Put your damn phones away and enjoy the experience at a tattoo shop that is worth every damn penny.

I have 2, one on each calf muscle. Both are good size and color, one is from Max back in 2010, the other is from Ash in 2015. They both look perfect to this day. I have a half sleeve from 2003, (and a different artist) that looks terrible in comparison and faded pretty quick. As far as the shop goes, Ive been to a lot of shops all over the place and Nakatosh is definitely a far more interesting place to walk into than your average shop. Most places have like a neon sign and some flash on the walls, these guys put a lot of work into the place. If they care enough to do that, it should be obvious they care enough to do a good job on your tattoo.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions kind of like how 100% of the negative comments are from hack jobs, rednecks, and hipsters. To start off this place charges a $100 an hour. If you dont like it, go to a shitty tattoo shop located around the great tattoo shop. This shop is by far the cleanest/best place around. They dont take bullshit for payment and they know how to get the job done. I mean come on now, Ive spent more than 5 grand here. That should at LEAST tell you something.

Max did a great piece on my back and also on my brothers legs and had to stay up to accommodate us. He was more than willing to adjust his time frame to meet ours. Great service and great work. Highly recommended I wont let anyone else do any work on me.

Love this place! They do great work and have a great reputation for being a custom tattoo shop. This is not one of those pick and stick places and no... They do not sell smoking accessories. This is the place you go for good custom work and Hardy humor!

I sent a text message asking for an appointment, their web page says they answered messages in a couple of days. Here we are on week two, no reply.SO, in speaking with the folks at Nakatosh Tatoo Co, after reading their reply, they never got my text so, you cant reply to a text that you dont get. Electronics, cant live with them, cant live without them. I thank them for their grace and I apologize for squawking before I knew the whole story.Im back in NC now so, will definitely look to these folks the next time I plan to be home and want ink. The shop is immaculate, I peeked in the glass one morning, and the work is beautiful. Check out their FB page. Even with rules posted by the owner, very rude and not about what a customer wants. If I want a specific image and it happens to be on my phone, I would be screwed. If I wanted it in a specific place, they find reasons to resize it and relocate it. After seeing how my friend was treated. I would recommend other local tattoo parlors or just go to other parlors in other cities.

Greatest tattoo shop Ive ever been too. Always enjoyed being there and getting work done from them. Wish I didnt move so I could still get tattoos from them.

These guys took my love of books and transformed it into a work of art that I constantly have people admiring. They collaborated on my piece and provided an awesome atmosphere. I cannot wait to come back for the next masterpiece Max has waiting on me!

Got my first tattoo here (from Sweden) and I can tell you its the best ones Ive had contact with. Gonna do a second and I hope the will do it. Great atmosphere in there and really nice people.Ps: wish I could give more than 5 stars!

I have gotten all 6 of my tats from Max and Ash... Fun times with fun people... Making my body a piece of art work in a safe environment. Love those guys!!!

I have two tattoos that I am very happy with. I have had both Ash and Max work on me. Very professional and clean shop.

They do amazing work. Just know that they are more of the artsy types. If you just want a cookie cutter tattoo this may not be the place for you.

The cleanliness & professionalism is beyond compare; skill and talent that keeps me in awe with every piece I see or rediscover when I step in the shop .....and FUN!! I always have a blast and walk away feeling grateful for knowing two incredible gents! Thanks guys!!

I got two nice size cover up from max and love them I reference everybody I kno to them and wont use another shop around. Grade a tattoos and only great tattoos leave this shop
