Maya Zink is my all time favorite tattoo artist I have ever worked with! They are a talented artist with great instincts. I’ve never left feeling unhappy. Their heart pomegranate gets the most love out of any of the designs on me. I look forward to being able to get in with her again soon. This is an absolutely amazing shop! It’s so warm and inviting and clean! I was tattooed by maya and I am so incredibly happy with the tattoo I got! Everyone there is incredibly caring and kind and it makes a perfect environment!

I have an appointment with Maya in February and the consulting/scheduling process has been so easy. Maya has been very responsive and offered helpful advice when describing what I wanted. I like that she used my ideas but kept it realistic to ensure my tattoo will turn out looking great. The shop is in a convenient location and I will happily update when my tattoo is completed.Update: it went so well. I felt so comfortable. Everything was clean, transparent, and efficient. I’ll definitely be booking again. I’m also loving the decor, especially the “Italian” deer.

Besides how amazingly talented each artist is, you’ll find no place better than here because the vibes of the shop are UNMATCHED. Amber has skillfully and carefully hand picked each artist making this shop top tier, hands down. Vibes are always chill, relaxed, inclusive and welcoming.Amber personally has done two of my tattoos, and I will never go to anyone else as long as she’s in business. I love being able to give a general loose direction, her take it and run with it, always creating a masterpiece. Her creativity is always so on point and her tattooing is rad. Being in her chair I never feel unwelcome and I’m always so sad when the appointment is over. She’s just a dope human and her shop and work reflects that.

This is one of the best places Ive been for a tattoo! The employees are great, professional people. Maya did an awesome job working with me and my tattoo idea and the finished result was amazing. The shop was fantastic and so clean. There was clear communication from the beginning and i felt very welcomed. Maya did my first ever tattoo back in February 2022 and since then i have come back and will keep coming back for more. She was so understanding and explained everything to me and was patient with my questions. Overall a great experience and highly recommend.

I can’t recommend Maya at Bananafish enough! Her space is clean and organized, her tattoos are high quality, and she’s always so easy to talk to. She’s also got a light hand and tattoos quick, which is super nice for those delicate areas. Excited to finish up my sleeve with her this year!

My first tattoo experience in years and I couldn’t have asked for better. Maya was responsive online and incredibly kind in person. I love how much time she took to get the perfect size and confirm that I was truly happy before we got started. It was more painful than I expected so I was also happy that she was so fast yet her work was still gorgeous. Personality wise she was also a lot of fun to chill with for the hour or so it took. I have two beautiful pieces now and plan to come back in the future for a custom piece.

I have been getting tattooed since 1988. I’ve had a couple artists, one I was loyal to, but a couple years ago I decided to start a sleeve and my old artist wasn’t available (and I had moved to Louisville so it was 2 hours away). My wife knew of Bananafish because she knew Amber. I really wanted a black and gray reality piece and saw some work posted by Bree Ashley. I knew that’s where I wanted to get my sleeve, and I’m so happy I did. The work Bree Ashley has done is nothing short of amazing, I get compliments all the time about the realism and detail work. This shop is SUPER clean, has a very cool vibe, and everyone is so talented there. They are all great artists, you can find any specialty you’re looking for. I’ve been there for several hours being tattooed and it always has a busy and upbeat, but cool vibe. I personally would never go anywhere else in the Kentuckiana area. If you’re thinking about getting ink, call them!

Cleanest shop I have ever been too. I worked with Maya on 6 tattoos and 3 cover/touch ups. Some color, some not. She took on all my ideas and I am happy with them all. Highly recommend this shop & Maya.

Charles Browy is, if not the best, one of the best in the Louisville area, in New Albany, IN. His home is Bananafish. Nice clean shop. I looked around at what other artists were doing. Top notch quality. You cant go wrong with any of them. Charlie is my guy though

I had an amazing experience with Maya Zink getting my first (and second, third and fourth) tattoo. Maya brought all of my ideas to fruition and I love the work. The shop atmosphere is great. Maya Zonk did my tattoo a year ago and it is still looking amazing! My experience was top knotch. She was super communicative before my appointment, and during my session. Her cheerful demeanor out me at ease immediately. She offered some tweaks to my ideas for the tattoo and it made it a million times better. I cant wait to go back and get another tattoo ASAP!

What a great studio. I worked with Darien and she nailed it, from consultation to application. I emailed an idea, she took my ramblings and turned them into a beautiful piece.Everyone at the studio was nice and the space itself was open, filled with great art, and fun. HIGHLY recommend checking out their team. I know I’ll be back there for future tattoos.

Absolutely LOVE my tattoo from Rose! I got one of her halloween flashes and it was an amazing experience! Super efficient and talked to me the entire time and made me feel super safe and comfortable! This is one of the best tattoos shops in New Albany in my opinion. All the pieces that they put out from their shop look amazing. I had the pleasure of getting a piece done by Emi. I talk about and show off this piece anytime Im giving the chance.

My Artist Darien and I have been working together since the beginning of the year and I couldn’t be happier with her work. If you are looking for a unique & diverse shop, this is the place to be!

I’ve had three tattoos completed at Bananafish Tattoo Parlour and each time I had an amazing experience! One of my large pieces an under-bust tattoo was completed by Amber and she worked quickly and efficiently. Plus the work came out exquisitely! 10/10 would go again.

When you walk into the shop you get good vibes instantly. Super clean, tons of incredible art, a fun environment and cool people. It is obvious this is a shop that celebrates the talent of its artists.I have had four tattoos done here and I will absolutely keep coming back. For three I have worked with Darien who, from start to finish, has been a joy to work with. Not only is her passion for art obvious in the creative and beautiful designs she has curated for me, but she is considerate and kind when working. I have had so many compliments on my color and its all thanks to her artful eye and attention to detail.My other piece was designed by Rose who also brought a welcoming, fun energy, good conversation and beautiful work. She did an anime piece for me and knocked it out of the park - something true to the film and yet unique and very cute.I think the biggest impression the shop has left on me is the friendliness extended to clients also seems to reverberate within the staff. Everyone is always talking shop, sharing their work, and being so encouraging. Cannot recommend a better shop to get your tattoos.

First of all, the vibes are immaculate. Atmosphere is necro-comfy. Playlist during sessions is full of nothing but great music. Each artist here has excellent technique, but Maya Zink continuously slays with flawless line work and a variety of styles. My boyfriend and I have a few tattoos from Maya, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Shoutout to Darien as well. All artists are always growing in their craft. Bananafish is the way to go for good quality, reasonable prices, and ink you’ll never regret.

I just got my first tattoo, with Amber. It’s a big piece and she wanted to set aside several hours, so I had to schedule several months out, but it was well worth the wait because she is the perfect artist for the job. We made some small changes on the day of, and it’s exactly what I had in mind. I gave her a piece of vintage artwork and she adapted it for a tattoo. She managed to capture the character of the original artwork, but update it, and change the composition for a big thigh piece. It looks really bold, colorful and clean. The shop is super clean, the vibe is cool and laid-back. Amber works efficiently and communicates well every step of the process. She was fine with making changes last minute. I will definitely get another tattoo with her!

Best experience Ive ever had getting a tattoo ever. Charlie Browy did my half sleeve and is in my opinion one of the best artist in the area. From what I saw from the other artist all where doing amazing work. To start off with as soon as you walk in the door the place is spotless the staff makes you feel welcome and comfortable. I plan on getting alot more work done and can assure you this is the only place that will be tattooing me. 5 star isnt enough for this place I give them 10. If your thinking about getting a tattoo this is the place

Every moment of my experience was good, the shop is an interesting visual to keep your focus away from the discomfort. Each Tradesperson in the shop is worth their rate in gold.

Ive gotten tattoos in 5 different states and at multiple parlors. Bananafish has been the best. Ask for Miranda. She is a great artist and works quickly. If she is booked up for a couple months, its worth the wait.

I guess I could do a better job describing it than just leaving stars 😂 As soon as I walked in, I was happy to see the place was clean, everyone wearing gloves, using disposable pieces, etc. I also could see the artists portfolios on a screen as I was getting my tattoo done, so I could see how skilled everyone in the parlor is. My artist was Emi, who did an amazing job on my requested piece and did well making sure I stayed calm and chill during my first tattoo. Whenever I have a new idea, I will be coming back here.

I went in for a consultation on this visit. I wasnt sure about what I wanted but had a broad idea. Amber had so many great ideas! Now I cant wait until my first appointment!

My wife had eyebrow micro blading done by Amber. Her work looks amazing and everyone there was super friendly.

Extremely clean and professional. The artists care about their clientele and work with you to make sure you get exactly what you want.

People have extreme circumstances and there is no reason to keep someones deposit when they are in one. There are always exceptions that can be made in extreme circumstamces. But no. Especially if the appt isnt for four months and theres no way you can physically keep the appointment. Will never recommend this place to anyone.
