My sister and I came to get tattoos from Stephanie off a flash sheet she had, we couldn’t be happier!! They look exactly how we wanted. Stephanie was quick to reply, prepared, and professional. Next time I am in New London and in need of a tattoo, I will only see her!

Our family had an excellent experience with John. He was personable and professional and gave us a very positive tattoo experience. We had general ideas for our tattoos that were not fully completed, and he helped us fine tune our designs to be exactly what we wanted. We could tell that John takes each tattoo very seriously and understands that the little things matter for such a permanent decision. John was patient and helpful as we asked for dozens of different revisions adjustments to our designs. Despite us wanting relatively simple tattoos, John sat with us for about an hour at the start of our appointment and hand-drew many different versions of our designs so we could see how different options would look. If you have a general theme or idea that you want to work with but need an artist to bring it to life, we recommend John as the artist for you. If you are in the area, you should definitely consider working with John while he is here in the United States for a limited time.

Ive gotten a bunch of tattoos here and loved it every time! Stephanie was great about explaining the process my first go around, and her work always turns out great. Communication is always clear; when I come here I know my tattoo will turn out awesome!

Stephanie at New London Ink has been tattooing me for over a year, and I truly love every piece she has done for me! I love New London Ink, and have been going here exclusively for 3+ years now, specifically Stephanie! Although all the staff is incredible and friendly (especially Victoria hehe), Stephanie is my girl! 3 years ago I walked in and said “I trust you, give me a leg sleeve”, and every session I come in, she surprises me with what we’re doing next. (The length it’s taken us to work on my leg is totally my decision, tolerance and money lol). But anyways, she blows me out of the water every time. Any time I add on random things or ask for changes, she’s quick to accept. I remember one time I asked her to change the stencil placement multiple times and apologized and she replied “don’t ever be sorry, I’ll sit here and re-stencil you all day until you’re comfortable and happy. It’s your body”, and that was reassurance I really appreciated. She takes the time to truly know you, and uses that info to help you. Not only has it helped her pick her selections for my leg, but also she knows my tolerance and my body cues. She knows when I need a break before I even verbalize it. She also remembers personal things. She remembers my birthday, my family, and clapped loud for me throughout life victories. She is an incredible, incredible, INCREDIBLE, artist, professional, and friend. I will continue to speak very highly about her and refer all my family and friends to her until the end of time. She is truly the best, I promise you are in good hands with Stephanie!!

I absolutely love Stephanie as an artist and person. All artists are extremely talented in their work. I have always had a great time while there as there is a chill atmosphere. Have been back multiple times.

Ive been to a couple of shops, but New London Ink is my all-time favorite. And while Ive found the entire staff to be completely friendly, professional, and total joys, Tyler is my go-to artist. The man does things with a needle that are about worthy of a reality show. I dont give him designs, I just give him ideas and locations, and he produces masterpieces in ink and skin. If I was still living in the area, I would not hesitate to pay for a full backpiece here. I know people a thousand miles away who are looking to travel here just for a bit of time in the chair at this spot. 10/10 recommend.

Super bummed with my overall experience with Stephanie.First session was supposed to fix a tattoo I didn’t like (cost me $100 deposit for consult time, 2 weeks out to schedule the appointment, an additional hour of back and forth on the actual design and $120 for ten lines of work to ‘fix’ it — promises during the consult didn’t match what she was going to do that day at all). Given how kind Stephanie was (she said she was in a funk that day) and how exicted she was about my future projects, I decided to book another appointment with her and ‘roll my deposit’ over. The second appointment was almost a month out from the original tattoo (busy lady I understand).The day of the second (third?) appointment, I am a little late (17 mins), which I informed her of, and when I showed up the drawing I gave her almost two months ago was barely drawn out, with one section with more worked than others. Her reasoning behind it was, I will improvise and adjust the rest on the spot, which is not the way I roll…With slight frustration and hesitance, I asked her to rework it so the outline would at least match what I wanted. During that time, she did, but also decided to play secretary (which is on my $$$ time), running around to other tattoos artists to try to schedule walk-ins instead of focusing on the task at hand.After spending an hour attempting to make the design work, she decides to walk out for a cig. When she returned I told her thank you but no thank you, I just walked out. I asked her to keep the deposit for her time. 4 hours and $220 later, I have ten lines of work on my body from the touch-up session and a sour taste in my mouth about New London Ink.When you get people to give you deposits, ask them to send you photos and references, it should be your responsibility as a tattoo artist to be ready for the appointment and reassure your clients that what they want is what they will get.Will not be returning or recommending.

I just got my second tattoo done there with my girlfriend (she’s been going there for about 5 years now ever since she could legally get tattooed Alicia is her artist I’ve seen her work twice she’s amazing every time) at the sailsfest flash event my artist was Stephanie super chill vibes and really friendly the tattoo was over before I know it and I love it. Highly recommend any artist in the shop will post when fully healed :)

I had a tattoo done by Stephanie. It was not my first, but it was definitely my longest and most painful. She was so kind and patient. She was happy to give me breaks, some bactine spray for the pain and even gave me a snack since I wasnt feeling great. The four hours were so worth it.

I called on a weekend expecting for them to be booked for the whole summer and luckily got squeezed in due to cancellation. Not only is the parlor absolutely beautiful inside, but everyone is incredibly kind and welcoming!! Ed (Eddy) ended up doing my tattoo- I wanted one with thin lines & small detail on my bicep, about the size of a credit card- & he did an *incredible* job. His work is very versatile, and seems to range from bright and bold to minimal and detailed. 100% would go back to him for future tatts! From setting up equipment, to the execution and completion of the tattoo, everything went seamlessly, and the final product was exactly what I envisioned!! (pricing was very reasonable as well) Absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a high quality experience *and* high quality tattoo :)

I’ve used this studio for 5-sessions for my tattoo removal. When I first came in I was told I’d be on the “lower” sessions needed but after my 5th appointment was informed i was half way there. I was also told to come in every 4-weeks instead of the recommended 6-8 without any explanation. When I voiced my concern and requested the owner to call me, he never did, just received a short email.Front desk staff, awesome and super friendly. Tattoo artists are great. However, If you’re looking for quality tattoo removal or being treated like a valued customer after spending $1,500+ I’d recommend continuing your search.

I had my second tattoo done by David K, the tattoo came out really great. I went back a month later for a slight touch up and it came out simply phenomenal better than I expected. My next piece Im asking for him again. Hes quick, efficient and damn good. Id very highly recommend him and New London Ink .

This is such a great place to get a tattoo! The staff is friendly, professional, and have great costumer service. All the artists there are well trained and very good. I had Chris X Edge, and he was awesome to work with. The staff is also also knowledgeable about things like sterile technique, placement of tattoos, styles of tattoos, and other tattooing techniques. I highly recommend this place for your first tattoo or your nth tattoo. I had such a wonderful experience. I am definitely coming back for my next tattoo.Also their new location is beautiful! It has great aesthetics and a comfy waiting area. Each artist personalized their stations well and it shows each of their individual tastes.

Elyssa is hands down the BEST tattoo artist around! If you are looking for good quality work, shes the ONE! I highly recommend! The other artists at New London Ink appear to do good work as well. Clean, friendly environment. Overall, Im very satisfied with the work Ive got done! 5 Star!

Ed Knowles has been my tattoo artist and best friend for years. I highly recommend him he has the best color tattoos you can get and he is worth every penny u spend. But the rest of the artist are very talented as well. I recommend them too.. Very friendly atmosphere and place to go.you can even get your tattoos removed there. But overall best tattoo shop in area hand down!!

My roommate and I called on a whim for an appointment and they were able to graciously squeeze us in the next day! Allanah is an amazing and talented artist. It was a great atmosphere and we definitely had a great time getting our tattoos. Cant wait to get more tattoos there!!

Clean, welcoming staff members. Everyone in the shop was polite and cordial.I personally had a work done by Brian and the experience was wonderful. Had a mountain silhouette done. The artist paid close attention to detail and was visibly passionate about his work. High quality work and he really took care of me. I highly recommend him. The tattoo was pristine, intricate, highly detailed and overall beautiful. I look forward to having more work done by Brian and the rest of the staff as well.

They go out of their way to place you with the right artist for what you want done. Very clean shop. The open concept is fabulous! Allanah is a treasure! She is doing such an amazing job on my peice.

I love New London Ink! I have gotten all 4 of my tattoos there and plan on using them for all future tattoos. The atmosphere is always friendly and you are treated as family! Ed does beautiful color work and flowers (I highly recommend him)!:) However, everyone there is wonderful. I have had 3 others work on me as well and have no complaints.

I needed to leave in a couple weeks, and I wanted a good sized piece done as fast as possible. When i went there i was treated with a smile and warm welcome. We talked and worked out a plan for the tattoo to be done all in one day. Edd the artist, and this man is truly an artist, drew up the stencil, and worked through his lunch break to make sure it was as painless as possible with a tattoo, and to finish it all in one day as i requested. These are a great bunch of people.

Outstanding experience! Ernie was a great collaborator and his experience and love for his art came through. Rest of the shop got along great and it was awesome to see them admiring and aiding each others work. Great vibes and awesome tattoo! Ill be back for sure.

I walked into New London Ink after a bad experience at another studio. I wish I had gone here first! The moment I walked in I felt at ease and supported. The studio is clean, bright, and full of positive people. Everyone is great but Ed is fabulous! He was thorough explaining how he works, and took the time to understand what I wanted and why. I had such a great experience here. Guy stayed late to do a quote for me and did an amazing job. He made me feel so comfortable and the atmosphere was fantastic. I have other tattoos but this was the most relaxed Ive ever felt while getting work done. After looking at his other work, I was so happy we are working on another piece for me. Wonderful experience as always going to New London Ink! Second time going there, specifically to Ed Knowles, and as always the work is perfect. I easily would say they are the best shop in the area, and the entire crew there is very courteous and respectful. They will not let you get a bad tattoo!!! They will always offer ideas to make the piece look better and will go out of their way by adding extra details just so the final looks Unique and Wonderful. That being said if you want it to look old school and untouched they will do that too!

This was my first tattoo and it was absolutely the most easy breezy experience. I was semi-nervous coming in but everyone here was super welcoming. I was a walk-in and they were extremely accommodating...my tattoo artist was Guy and he was super nice and knowledgeable and talented. I totally recommend coming here for a tattoo...they make it easy and nice.

I just walked out of here after getting a tattoo and had to write something. We lost our dog, who we called our daughter, a few weeks ago. My wife set up an appointment with David for me to get something to remember her but tbh it was too soon for me. I finally felt ready to get one and I called to set up a consult with the picture I wanted. As soon as David saw the picture at the time of our consult he said, “let’s knock it out now”I cried practically through the whole thing because every line he did made it more beautiful. I recently had Ed do a tattoo for me, it was a custom piece that was a portrait of my Saint Bernard who passed away a few years back. I wanted him to do it in his style and he absolutely knocked it out of the park. From day 1 Ed was easy to communicate with, friendly, and super creative. The people here are not only talented, but unbelievably helpful. They advised me of a better location for what I wanted and were very patient with my inexperience and specific request. They even let me friends know to go grab me a drink so I had sugar in me (I had ZERO clue that was a thing). You can tell these people know what theyre doing. On top of that, my friends and I (I was the only one getting a tattoo) felt very welcome from the start and were shown nothing but kindness and respect. The environment there was super assuring for my first tattoo. Thanks Guys!

My artist was Edward Knowles. Guy is a talented as hell! Ive gotten a bad tatto before and he cleaned it right up. The shop is just a great place to hang out. The employees are just awesome people!

I got my tattoo done about a month and a half ago and in need of a touch up. The lines look a little off and part of the tattoo has a light spot after removing the Tegaderm as instructed. It was recommended to wait a month but now that It’s healed up, I’ve been trying to get back in touch with the artist but the lack of communication is frustrating and the front desk service are not helpful! They only cater to certain people and are pretty rude. I probably won’t EVER be getting inked from this company again. Definitely a waste of my time and money... never should have left a tip either. I’m glad people think money grows on trees.

The best tattoo shop around! Elyssa Dion did a photorealistic shoulder piece on me and it came out even better than I had imagined. She based it off of a painting and my tattoo looks better than the painting itself. You wont regret going to this shop!

Guy does amazing, amazing work. Ive followed him from three tattoo shops, and he is nothing but professional, respectful, and downright fun to work with. He also saved my life once from a roving band of ninjas and pirates. He has some sweet skills with the nun-chucks and bo staff, let me tell you. But thats a tale for another day, and another review. My husband and I took a weekend trip to the Mystic area and he told me to find a tattoo place to get a piece I was literally dying for! We called New London Ink and Allanah told us to come and that she could get it done! We walked in and everyone we spoke to was great and pleasant! I showed Allanah two photo ideas on what I loved and she was able to mix the two photos together and created my favorite tattoo ever (I have 9 tattoos altogether). I’ve been in contact with her to get another tattoo to match the one she has already done!!! I’m from Long Island and yes there are a ton of tattoo parlors around but I rather take the 2 hour drive stay in CT for the weekend and visit my Girl Allanah!!!! She does beautiful work and can’t wait to get more tattoos from her!!!

I got a quote with a mountain silhouette tattooed on my arm by Brian Trubia and I was thoroughly impressed. His portfolio is beautiful. Fantastic black ink work with amazing portraits, line work and overall detail. You can tell that he has studied his craft and pays very close attention to the artwork that he is placing on your body.On a more personal note, Brian was very amicable and personable. Easy to talk to and calm. The facility is very welcoming and the entire staff is wonderful. Like I said before, New London Ink has my business as long as I am in the area, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for some new ink.

I went in to get my first tattoo right after my 18th birthday and I was helped right away with picking out a font and got paired with the artist Ed and he was PHENOMINAL !!He walked me through the entire process and helped me pick positioning and size.The shop is clean and they open needles infront of the customers to assure cleanliness.
