This place is so clean and comfortable. And the people were extremely kind, knowledgeable and patient with my 10 yr old daughter who got her ears pierced. They talked her through everything and showed us that everything was sterile. The appearance of the place and the employees made this a great experience for her. When she is ready for another ear piercing, this will be our place of choice!

I have been coming here before it was called Modern Moose and it’s still my favorite shop. Aurora did an amazing job making my dream tattoos become a reality and is a very talented artist . I highly recommend this shop for all of your piercing and tattoo needs :)

My 13 yr old daughter got her 2nd ear hole pierced tonight by Steve . She had previously got it done at Claire’s and it got majorly infected. Steve was so patient with her and thoroughly explained the process, as she was nervous. He was completely professional and made her feel at ease. He measured her ears to make sure that the distance from the first hole was far enough and looked beautiful. She was so pleased, as was I. We are happy and it was a great experience!

I got my first tattoo done by Steve a few days ago and had a perfect experience. He is extremely patient when I asked for some things to be moved around on the design. He tattooed my arm to perfection exactly how I imagined. (The flowers were drawn by my grandparents and are exactly how they were on the paper). He was recommended to me and now I’m going to recommend him to everyone. Will definitely be booking all my future tattoos with him.

Very clean, Steve pierced my nose, it looks wonderful. I actually Work in the OR, So I’m very particular about things being clean. Steve went above and beyond, (before knowing what my job is) showing me that everything he used to do my piercing was clean and sterilized. He even used Sterile gloves. Which, of course, I watched and he put them on the same way we “open glove” in the surgical setting. The cleanliness of Steve’s establishment was above and beyond my expectation. He was very professional and thorough. He made sure I understood what all of my options were as far as jewelry and went through the aftercare instructions.

My son , daughter and I decided to get matching tattoos kinda on the spur of the moment. I began looking at reviews and was impressed by all the stellar reviews left by clients of modern moose. I called and was told they could accommodate us. In today’s world you don’t really see appreciation for your business anymore. But not at this shop! It’s alive and well! Friendly, accommodating, clean and staff dedicated to making sure you leave happy. This will definitely be our “ go to” tattoo place.

I had a great experience with Steve. He made sure I was comfortable and the conversation flowed. It had been some time since I had gotten a previous tattoo and I was a bit nervous.I took a few pics and foot print of my beloved Bear. Steve did a great job designing a beautiful image that I will cherish forever. I will be getting more tattoos done here in the future!

Absolutely amazing. Steve was incredible, very kind and very knowledgeable. He made sure I knew what he was doing, and even sent me home with some cleaning freebies. Didnt try and make a sale and did the original consultation for free. I came in the get a different piercers work fixed and it was very clear he cared about making sure I healed right not just making money. Highly highly recommend.

My best friend and I went to get our noses pierced with Ben and from start to finish everything was perfect! Making an appointment over the phone was easy and fast, and getting checked in and paperwork signed was effortless thanks to the friendly gentleman at the front desk. Ben was friendly, talkative, and knowledgeable. You can tell hes someone that has a lot of love for his craft. He walked us through the sanitation and piercing process before and during, and made sure we were fully equipped to properly care for our piercings at home. If either of us need another piercing we wont hesitate to book again. :)

I stopped in earlier in the week to switch out my nose piercing for work! The girl at the front desk was very kind. Steve was super kind, professional and knowledgeable. He gave a the tools I needed and information on how to change my own piercing! The shop was very clean and inviting!

Messaged Ben about getting my septum pierced, and he was very knowledgeable about everything! Came in today and everyone was so friendly the minute I walked into the shop! Before doing anything he made sure I had the right anatomy for the septum piercing, which was so cool he did that! Everything was very sterile and overall such a great atmosphere to be in with amazing people! You can tell they treat their customers like family. Definitely will be referring everyone I know to this shop!

Steve is a fantastic and am extremely talented artist! He was booked a year out and I wanted to wait because Ive personally seen several entire sleeves he has done plus seeing his portfolio online...and with just one session into my own sleeve done, I can say with complete certainty that it was totally worth the wait! Will post pics when finished! Also everyone Ive met there has been super helpful and friendly and its just a great vibe when you walk in. Would recommend modern moose to anyone for whatever your tattoo needs/wants are !

Over the years I had gotten tattooed at this place by Cody H, Cory C, Matt H, Ash M, & Marlee N. I had been pierced by Ben about 7 times. I cannot believe this place was so toxic to some of these hard workers because they decided to move on in their careers. I could never and would never support a business who reacts so poorly to the success of their employees.

I have very sensitive skin, and Megan was very cautious with her artwork. Quality was phenomenal. Linework was on point. Would recommend her to anybody and I am very picky. Definitely will see her again soon.

Had Beau today for piercing. I had my Vèry nice clean. Beau was amazing. Very attentive made me feel relaxed and calm. I would highly recommend him to do you piercing. Tattoo artist are amazing also my friend was there getting tattoos they turned out amazing.

Ben is the best piercer Ive ever been to. Shame on your studio for doing something so dirty to a loyal employee that had a great attitude. You shouldve been wishing him success and the best. I used to go to studio 54 a lot and when my favorite tattoo artist left, they all knew for months he was planning on it, hes still friends with the owner and some staff and I still go to him at his new place whilst still giving some business to studio 54. My daughter (15) and myself got pierced yesterday. All the staff was so friendly and everything was sterile and clean. Ben was great and made my daughter feel calm. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

Went into the studio this week to have Ben check on a newer piercing I was worried was migrating or rejecting. The employee there told me that the piercing studio was under construction and Ben was on vacation and they were not sure when he would be coming back. I found out a few days later that Ben was no longer at the studio and they lied to me. Not only is it a poor business practice to lie to a customer that has spent thousands of dollars at your studio but a potentially dangerous practice as it has to do with the health of a healing piercing. I will not be coming back here, which is disappointing after being a long time customer.

I took my second daughter for her first tattoo to Modern Moose today! It is a Mommy Daughter tradition in our family... they get one and I get one! Desy had hers done by Reggie and he did a fabulous job.... she is super pleased. Henrique did mine and I LOVE IT! It is my art and he did it exactly the way I drew it. We for sure will be going back again!

My girlfriend and her mother were going in to get their first tattoos. Reggie took amazing care of them. They were both worried about the pain but Reggie’s calm and comforting demeanor help settle them down. They soon realized their worries were for no reason and they started planning their next tattoos. Not to mention the tattoos were CRISP! Fantastic experience and would recommend to everyone.

I have had 2 amazing experiences here. I took my 17 yr old son in with his notarized document to get an eye brow piercing. Staff was happy and outgoing. Super clean environment, and they were extremely professional and thorough. I also went with my best friend to get matching tatts last year. Same lovely experience. Its my new go to!!! Ben is awesome. 11 years ago Ben did my very first piercing (bellybutton) and I came to get my nose pierced yesterday and he was fast, efficient, and there was very little pain! He is very friendly and makes you feel comfortable. I recommend Ben to ANYONE getting any piercing as he has many years experience!

Ive been tattooed several times at this shop and have always had an awesome experience from start to finish. I just want to share how amazing Modern Moose is and share my experience! My 9 year old daughter has wanted her ears pierced for quite some time but also fearful. This weekend, she decided Monday was the day. We arrived there and Beau was the piercer. We were called back to the room where he had prepped the jewelry and showed us all the sterilized tools he would be using. My daughter became very nervous and couldnt decide if she was going to go through with it. She contemplated for over an hour. She couldnt overcome her fear but Beau reassured her he would be there if she changed her mind. He was encouraging and patient with her the entire time. Fast forward 5 hours later after mall therapy.... she was ready again! We arrived around 4:30 and got started again. After about 45 minutes of encouragement by both myself and Beau she got the first ear done.... she was in her head so badly we almost left with just one. Neither of us wanted to force anything. I was ready to take her home but she found her courage and she said just do it... Im ready.... Beau and I were both in shock and responded immediately. Not 1 tear was shed. My point in this review, is that Beau has got to be the most patient human being I think Ive ever met! A 20 second process took 4 hours combined. He never once showed frustration and only showed compassion and understanding. I cant begin to thank you enough for how you handled her. She is so grateful for you making her wish come true! Thank you thank you from the bottom of my heart! I would highly recommend Modern Moose for piercings and tattoos! Ive also done those there and the only place I will go!

Awesome studio! It’s very clean, the guys are super friendly, I felt totally comfortable going in. Got my nose pierced by Ben in August and it has healed beautifully! I will never go to another place for piercings ever again. New to florida and was looking for piercer that i can trust and just vibe with Ben was so through and chill easy to talk to and makes you comfortable. Im obsessed with my nose piercing and will totally be back in a few week for another. Also the guy who was behind the desk was one of the nicest guy i met so far walking into a place like this. Me and my friend walked out of the place like wow what nice guys.

Could not be any happier with the work Megan did. She is helpful, easy to talk to, offers suggestions and an amazing artist. I went to her one week apart first to get my fur babies paw print done and then for my arm tattoo. She nailed it both times. Also want to mention Beau the manager who is down to earth and just an all around great people person.

My fiancée had this tattoo done by Mat recently. He was absolutely great and a pleasure to be around. He was even so sweet to finish another artists design for me because my friend/artist passed away before the original piece was finished. So I went to go get a piercing yesterday. I had an appointment at 9:30pm and didn’t get pierced till 10pm, then I ended up getting one piercing and it was $70😑 if I’ve known that before I waited 30 minutes I definitely wouldn’t have done it. I’ve had multiple piercings done in my life and I’ve never got charged $70 for one piercing lol never tf again.

I am not a newbie to getting stabbed, but this was the very first time I did not feel sick after. The room was spotless and Ben was meticulous about washing his hands and using personal protective equipment. He is knowledgeable and takes pride in his skill. Yesterday i got my first piece done at this location and my artist was the owner, Steve. I was very nervous at first but the communication skills of all the other employees there made me feel at home. Very professional and clean, he explained the tools AND showed me the packaging of the needles as well as the expiration dates. Talking during the application kept my mind off the sting. The conversations youll have with your artist are genuine and they really do care about you as a person, and youre not just another commission. I will be going here for my future pieces and i recommend this place to anyone wanting a fabulous tattoo at an accurate price!

I had a small 30-year-old Tattoo I wanted covered up. Steve, the Owner, came very highly recommended, so I visited his Studio. After talking to Steve, his team, and seeing how orderly and clean his studio is, I had no concerns. Examples of his previous work is outstanding. I made an appointment to get my tattoo. Steve is in high demand and appointments are generally booked months out so if you are in a hurry, chances of getting on Steve’s schedule right away are slim to none. For these types of things, I am generally a patient person and willing to wait on quality so waiting for several months for Steve was not an issue for me. The day of my tattooing Steve was fully prepared with my artwork which I e-mailed (as instructed) to Modern Moose Studios several weeks in advance of my appointment. Steve fully explained the process and showed me every needle to be used in their original sealed sterilized container with expiration dates well into the future. Sanitation is of the utmost importance at Modern Moose Studios; very Impressive! During the tattoo process, which took approximately 5 hours, my comfort was important to Steve. Refreshments and clean restrooms are available. My tattoo has clean sharp lines and great solid shading which is consistent with his portfolio. Post tattoo care instructions were clearly explained as well as written instructions to take home provided. Steve asked that I come back in about a month, so he can review the work and if any touch-up is needed from the healing process he is happy to do so. I found Steve, his team, and the exceptionally clean studio to be a great experience, easy to work with and I highly recommend them for tattooing.

Updated review: I am adjusting my review to 1-star due to mistreatment by the studio. The experience I had with Ben during his employment at Modern Moose Studios was always the best.To anyone looking to get any piercings done, I have gone to Ben for all of my piercings over the last 9 years and I cant recommend him enough! He always makes the experience as fun and comfortable as possible, explains everything in detail, and is overall a genuinely nice dude. I drive an hour just to see him, and will always recommend him!

Ben, Matt, Steve, beau, and Megan are phenomenal, super nice, very respectful and easy going. They actually care about cleanliness and care about your skin, tattoo, and it’s an art of work for them .They’re very passionate as well as unique and they take their time as if you were family. Came in to have my piercing looked at that I got done at Zodiac off 19. I had a bubble that appeared at the piercing site. The piercer here advised that the jewlery I was offered by Zodiac was totally wrong and they didnt clasp it correctly (it was crooked). He helped me by changing out the jewlery to the correct piece, cleaned it, and provided me with some H2Oxygen to help it heal. I cant thank them enough for their help! I will definitely be returning in the future

Got my nose pierced and it was overall a 10/10 experience! The shop was SUPER friendly and extremely clean. The entire staff were so wonderful during the whole process. I also really appreciated the cleanliness and assurance I got during my appointment- my piercer was sure to walk me through each step and show me that everything was new and sterilized.DEFINITELY recommend!

Ive been to parlors in Texas Georgia and even South Korea and this by far was the best experience Ive had. All of the artists are super friendly and love what they do. I showed Bree (Brie?) a picture of a tattoo that resembled what I wanted then told her the details to change or add and she came up with this awesome piece. Its exactly what I wanted and I would recommend this place to anyone. Bree sat and listened to me tell my Army stories for 2 hours, all in all a great experience.Ps I dont know if its a thing specific to the shop but they dont offer any way to tip. I didnt see any option while i was paying and they never said anything.

Very clean, friendly, honest. Even though my wife and I are not from the area and got smaller tattoos, we planned ahead on our trip to the studio and stopped in earlier in the week to make an appointment and they got us in on our desired date. The studio was very professional and ready for us at our scheduled time. Reggie was awesome, very relatable, easy to communicate with and very professional. My wife and I will definitely be returning to the studio and the area again.

This is my second time getting pierced by Ben and Ill be back for more. The owner of Modern Moose was super friendly and went over pricing and paperwork up front. Ben talked me through what was going on and made sure I was happy with the placement before starting, and gave me aftercare instructions by paper and email. The whole process was quick and efficient

Our tattoo artist was Matt! We had a great experience and his work is absolutely beautiful. I wanted a realistic paw print and some custom floral work done and he nailed it. He was easy to talk to, and was open to changing the initial concept multiple times until I was perfectly happy. Also the place is very sanitary and they make sure to show you as they open the new needles and what not. Only downside was how long we had to be scheduled for the tattoo It was almost 2.5 months. But I can see why its so long, great place.

Well worth the wait! Sleeve done by Steve. His artistic and creative abilities are truly amazing! Incredibly professional and enjoyable to spend over 20 hours with. We had a really great experience with Belle. My sister and I were only in town for one day and my mom wanted the three of us to get matching tattoos. We went right when they opened, but everyone was busy. They were really professional and we made an appointment for later in the day. By the time we went back, Belle had already tweaked our image to what we asked for and made stencils. Actually, she enhanced the image in a really beautiful and artistic way. I feel really fortunate that the other place we had intended to go was unable to see us because our experience was perfect

I got my first tattoo with Reggie. He never made me feel awkward or uncomfortable for my first experience getting a tattoo. The best part was getting one with my daughter so now we have matching tattoos. The atmosphere is very fun! I would definitely recommend them.

So Ive gotten 2 tattoos at this place so far. One was by a traveling artist that was friends with the owner, he did amazing work and it spoke to the standard they have in the shop. My 2nd was done by Reggie, and he was new to me but now to the job. Fantastic work all the way around and really took the time to understand what I was looking for and making sure I was happy. Whether youre looking for your first tattoo, a touch up, or a sleeve, this is the place. No bs, they only hire the best. I will be returning for all future tattoos.

This is the shop to go to if you want quality tattoo work. I chose this shop for two reasons: the owners credentials and a friend of mines daughter had a beautiful sleeve done and I liked the work. The staff at modern moose is extremely polite and professional. From the front desk, to the piercings, to the tattoo artists. My artist was Steve, who went above and beyond my expectations. Very personable and courteous, made sure I was comfortable the entire session. The work he gave me is absolutely amazing, as well as the other pieces I saw the other artists putting out! I usually never leave reviews, but this place is awesome. Everyone was so nice and the place is very clean and when getting pierced everything was explained to me in detail as well as aftercare. I have social anxiety so its kind of hard to talk to people because I get so nervous, but it was so easy and fun to talk to Ben and I felt comfortable. The eyebrow piercing itself is absolutely perfect and I will 100% be going back as soon as I can! :)

AMAZING first experience here! I came in as a walk in yesterday for a nose piercing. I love how clean and modern the facility is and how friendly and talented the artists are there. Ben is fantastic and makes sure that you are shown all of the new and sealed tools that he will be using on your piercings. After care instructions are very thorough. I was a bleeder and Ben made sure I was all cleaned up. All my friends go here and you should too!

I was a walk in for a belly button piercing, my first impression was excellent. The place is clean and well put together. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Ben was over the top informative to my situation and what needed to be done. I had no doubt that he was using sterile instruments but Ben showed each item and explained about their use of the autoclave. I was very impressed and would definitely refer to their establishment. I have a few tattoos that need touching up to brighten them back up. They will be my first contact when I am ready..

Megan did my tattoo exactly how I wanted it, she did an amazing job and she was extremely friendly, very attentive, I will definitely go back to her when I get my next tattoo. As for my piercing Ben did my tongue and he was amazing as well he explained all of what he used and how sterile each and every thing he was going to use on me was, he answered all of my questions thoroughly and he also let me know how the whole process was going to go. It did not hurt at all lol to my surprise. Ive had other piercings before by other piercers and this was one of the best .Today is the second day of my tongue being pierced and it does not hurt much Ive been doing all that I was told to do so 🙃 yes Im excited oh and the staff were all very nice.

From the initial call with questions through the completion of my daughters piercing we got exceptional customer service. The studio is clean and organized, service areas are private and staff is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Ben was incredible, it was clear he was experienced and knowledgeable. He appropriately advised us regarding anatomy and was very good at putting nerves at easy and preparing my daughter for the service. He made sure to show me and explain to me the sterilization techniques and markings, answered all of our questions and made sure we knew how to get ahold of him with any and all questions or concerns beyond today. We are incredibly happy with our choice of shops.

I have gone to Modern Moose since I was 15 years old to get piercings and tattoos. Ben has always been great and never had a problem with anything I got done by him. However, when I started getting tattoos I would get them done by Marlee and they were always great. Once Marlee left I wanted to start going through other artists from there. The last time I went for my appointment I had it set up for about 6-7 months. When i arrived on my appointment day they had messed things up and tried to tell me I had canceled and scheduled someone else in my place. When i told them i never canceled they were trying to throw me in at a random time to rush me in. I was upset by this because they were still trying to give the girl my appointment who they called a week earlier when i had the appointment for 6 months and it wasn’t my mess up! After I had said I was taking the appointment spot the other girl wanted to be snotty and say she’s been going there for years. I have as well but it didn’t seem like my appointment mattered to them. I was really looking forward to my tattoo for months and they really tried to move me around. I will not be going back. I will find a new place to get tattoos. The wait is ridiculous, they overprice, and they only seem like they care about the money. I would only ever go back for a piercing. Their customer service has really gone down over the years.

From start to finish my experience great. I was greeted and made to feel welcome. The check in process was quick and easy, their records were all digital which kept the front desk clean and clear of clutter. The smell of green soap was apart and made me super happy. I was there for a nose piercing and decided on Ben because of his other shining reviews and sanitation standards. He explained the jewelry, the process and made light hearted conversation in between explaining all of his equipment used and the sanitation codes on his autoclave bags. He took the time to clean up the piercing and made sure it was placed and cleaned properly before I left. Thanks for a great experience!

A great experience! I was nervous cause this is my first piercing since I was 5 years old, but was quickly at ease. Ben was very kind and patient while showing me each package and explaining the piercing process and cleaning in depth. It is obvious that he loves what he does. I will definitely be coming back. A little over a week later, I love my piercing and have had 0 issues.

For a couple years, my grandma has been wanting to get her ears re-pierced. After searching for a studio, we settled on this one because of the reviews. I am so happy to say that it did not disappoint! Ben was so helpful and kind. He truly made sure that she understood every part of the process and made my grandma very comfortable and relaxed. Brought my teen daughter here for double ear piercings. It was a little tricky because her childhood ear piercing had long since healed and unfortunately there was some scarring. The shop was clean and comfortable, with a cool vibe one would expect in a tattoo shop. Comfortable seating + reading & artist portfolios in the waiting area. The staff we interacted with were very personable & knowledgeable in their trades. I genuinely liked everyone we spoke with. Our piercing specialist demonstrated that instruments were autoclaved and clean. The rest seemed like a textbook experience - He marked the spots, we reviewed in mirror and agreed. This shop is so welcoming and sweet. They have such amazing staff as well as a really smooth check in and waiver system. My boyfriend and I got tattoos from Marlee and she was so amazing. You can tell she really cares about her art. We traveled from Jacksonville and we will definitely do it again. It was absolutely worth the trip

Ben peirced my 6 y/o ears. She was a champ with no tears. However, I think his professionalism and the way he took time to explain & walk her through the process helped her remain calm and brave! Very happy with the experience.

This place was absolutely the best experience Ive had with tattoo studios!!! They were very helpful and professional. Very sterile environment and informative through the whole experience. I walked in with an idea for my tattoo and the artist Ashley put it to life within minutes at a great price!! I love the work they do here and highly recommend. My roommate also decided to go back with me later to get her nose double pierced and that was also a gentle and perfect experience for her as well. I will b going back here and so will my room mate. My daughter has been wanting a nose piercing for awhile. Shes almost 14 and this place was wonderful. I have been calling a few different times and Bo who answers the phone is always patient and great at explaining things; he was just as awesome in person. So for my daughter’s Christmas present, I took her to get her nose pierced. Ben, the piercer was awesome! Very explanatory, clean and funny. He was quick and my daughter loved that he didn’t do a countdown which would have made her more anxious. 🙂. Had my nostril pierced this evening by Ben, my first piercing since my earlobes as a little girl. Seriously cannot begin to say what an amazing experience it was. Cleanliness, professionalism, and top notch customer service and care by the whole team. My 19-year old daughter tagged along with me and was a little overwhelmed by the experience, she fainted and fell. The team rushed to her aid, helped her sit up and took care of her while also tending to my piercing. So grateful for the kindness and care they showed both of us... it’s in times such as these when you see a person’s true colors and Ben, Beau and the team really came through. So happy and excited about my piercing. Ben answered all of my questions, did not make me feel rushed, explained everything beforehand and was so smooth about getting it done that I didn’t have time to be nervous. Would highly recommend these guys to anyone.

Brought my kiddo to get her ears pierced and it was an awesome experience. Ben was patient, friendly, and compassionate. Even when my daughter started freaking out, and there was another client waiting, Ben didn’t rush her and remained patient. When we had an issue after her earring fell out a few weeks after the piercing, we came back and got the same level of compassionate care from Ben to fix the issue. I highly recommend him for piercing; you can tell he loves his job and takes pride in the quality of his work. Truly the best possible experience, and I was a little worried about finding a piercer that would be good with a young child!

I’ve been tattooed here several times by Matt who is extremely talented, and awesome. Today I went to get my septum “repierced” and Ben had let me know that the hole was still open, and all he had to do was put new jewelry in. I appreciated his honesty so much as he could have easily taken advantage. I will always recommend Modern Moose to friends and family. Bo is also very sweet, and clearly works extremely hard to make sure your needs are met.

Some how just my star rating was posted and not my review, so Ill try again.This was my first real tattoo, I had a very small one years ago so I didnt know what to expect. Ashley was very helpful and made the sign in process very easy. Matt the artist was extremely patient answering all my questions about placement and size. Being a senior in a young persons world both Ashley and Matt made me comfortable and calm. Matt did my tattoo quickly and painlessly. And it is perfect! Matt certainly deserves the nickname the gentle stabber and he probably has a repeat customer!

Just received my first tattoo and I absolutely love it. I had Ashley as my artist and I could not have asked for anyone better. Ive already booked my next tattoo! The complete experience with Steve was custom, caring, and friendly. I felt at home as soon as I walked into Modern Moose Tattoo & Piercing, the shop is extremely clean, well maintained, and beautifully decorated. I was looking to have an older tattoo covered up, I went in with two possible new designs for the cover-up. Steve gave his honest professional opinion on which of the designs would cover-up my original tattoo the best. He asked a few questions about size, placement, color to make sure he knew exactly what I wanted. We scheduled my tattoo session. When I came in for my appointment, he had hand-drawn an amazing artwork...to be honest, it wasnt exactly what I had envisioned, it was BETTER! It had such an artist flare to the piece that was so much better than my original plan. The actual tattooing process was great with awesome conversation in a friendly atmosphere. The final product turned out phenomenally, beyond beautiful! Throughout my entire experience, I think I got meet all of the artists that tattoo and pierce at Modern Moose, they are artistic, witty, and kind. I personally have been to the shop a few times since the pandemic started. I went for piercings and my fiance went for his first tattoo. I was there 2 days ago for a replacement jewelry to the one I lost. Every time I have been there I felt safe and like they were taking every measure to ensure the safety of the customers and the staff. I will continue to go to Modern Moose exclusively as I feel they are very professional, clean, timely, and affordable.

Modern Moose is very clean and professional. We searched for a tattoo place to have a cover up done and went checking artist and their shops out. We landed at Modern Moose and Steve talked to us about what we wanted, the reason and asked for some ideas..he really talked to us like we knew him for years. When the pandemic hit we feared that we would need to reschedule into the next year. Steve followed the guidelines to keep the shop clean and safe. We had 2 sitting with him in the month and I cant wait to go back for more ink. You really can feel the passion these people have for their work and the people. Steve has done a fantastic job making sure his shop is a safe place for people to still get art done.

Steve, the owner, and J.R., the tattoo artist who worked with us, all practice excellent customer service. The shop is super clean, organized and welcoming. We came in with a rough idea of what we wanted and J.R. drew up a perfect sketch for us. Im one of those people that loves having tattoos but whos a real wimp when it comes to actually getting them. I got a huge piece done on the back of my thigh, and Steve did an awesome job! He was super patient, comforting, friendly, and polite. He was just the right amount of talkative, and my tattoo came out amazing. The other staff was nice, too, and the studio was super clean. I would never recommend anywhere else!

After 6 years I decided to get my back dermals removed. I was extremely nervous, but all of the people at the shop were very professional and helped me feel at ease about the process. The shop was clean and they made sure to go over all their tools they were going to use to ensure they had been sterilized properly. Overall great experience dealing with Modern Moose Studio. I went in on a whim to check out the place and talk to an artist about some questions I had about design and placement. I spoke with Matt and Ben at the front and immediately felt at ease. I have been in many different shops and this was by far the most inviting and friendly atmosphere I have experienced. Matt was kind and professional and I made an appointment with him without hesitation. Tattoo day came and it was just as wonderful as I anticipated. Matt had my design ready based off some photos I emailed in and it was exactly what I wanted. I have a high pain tolerance but it was a rib tattoo so I figured it was going to be pretty bad regardless. But Matt had a very gentle hand and I only had to breathe deep a couple times and did not have to ask him to stop the whole time.The tattoo is absolutely perfect. He wrapped in in Saniderm which his far more pleasant than the typical gauze and tape that I have dealt with in the past. Its a little gross because there is a collection of seepage during the healing process but it is so much better than anything I have been wrapped with in the past. I have found my tattoo shop and will be back for sure!

Very professional and clean.My artist was Matt and he did a fabulous job! I sat with him for about 5.5 hours and was great. No awkwardness and the feeling of needing to keep the conversation going. If I needed to be quiet and focus, he just let me be, and when I was chatty he was happy to chat it up with me.Toward the end was a little rushed but that was completely on me as I needed to go pick up my dog by a certain time and didnt communicate it from the start. Regardless, Im super happy with how my tattoo turned out! Thank you Matt for a bitchin tattoo and Modern Moose Studio!

Met for consultation, daughters first tattoo(s). Marlee was professional, a great listener, she took care of her concerns and tattoo wishes. We were taken back by how far out they are booking (3 months out), but Marlee was able to fit her in earlier due to actual tattoos chosen.Also elected to get an additional ear piercing, 2nd hole in 1 ear. They were able to squeeze her in that night too. Daughter was a bit shocked at the cost, but thats the choice she made as an adult 😄Hard letting your kids grow up, but great to see they make good choices. Would recommend Modern Moose Studios.Will update in September when she actually gets her tattoos.

Modern Moose Studios is a very professional environment. Right when you walk in, you can see--from the furniture and layout, and the paintings on the wall--that the owner is a good artist. The store is clean and swept, and Steve made us feel at home and was very personable and professional. Might I add that the couches you wait on are very comfy, haha. Steve is the one who did my tattoo. He really knew what he was doing. It was my first tattoo, and he made it so I wasnt even nervous. He did amazing work, and explained the process every step of the way. Overall it was a wonderful experience and if I ever get another tattoo I am definitely going back to this shop!

1st place in town that I visited. I picked it based on their great track record. Needless to say, I was really impressed with the courtesy & professionalism that I didnt even bother to check elsewhere - instantly sold.Since I already knew what I wanted, I got a quick idea on cost, scheduled my appointment, and paid the deposit. I worked with Matt who masterfully exceeded my expectations with detail and efficiency. I plan to use Matt again for any future tattoos!

I get all my piercings done here by Ben! He does amazing work and I will always swear by this place! The environment is very comforting, and even with covid they continue to be cautious and sanitary by disinfecting everything and wearing masks. All of the staff was super professional and the shop was really clean. I went for nipple piercings, and the piercer, Ben, was awesome. Walked me through every step from the type of metal I would be getting to the sterilization of his tools. I was a little nervous, but he was really calm and professional. The owner was my tattoo artist years ago when the shop was owned by the previous owner and when I heard he bought the shop I went right back. Him and his staff make it a wonderful experience. He does amazing work and loves what he does. He isnt a business man who owns a tattoo shop. He is a tattoo artist with a shop he gets to call his own. His team is awesome. They make you feel welcome and it has a very cozy feel to it the second you walk in. Awesome people, awesome atmosphere and amazing tattoos... who could ask for anything more.

Edit 9/10: Last night I had my nose pierced by Ben. He was amazing, very nice and extremely knowledgeable! He helped me out with other piercings I have that werent even done by him. I cant wait to go back for my next piercing! Just got my first tattoo from Steve. Amazing artist and the nicest guy. Everyone in the shop is welcoming and you can truly tell they enjoy what they do. Very clean and very professional. I couldnt be happier with my tattoo itself or the experience. Definitely going to be getting any other tattoos done here. Would definitely highly recommend to anyone looking to get a piece done, ESPECIALLY if its your first. Couldnt have asked for anything better from these guys!

The other day my girlfriend stopped in and got her septum pierced. The renovations are beyond incredible and the atmosphere is great, Ive been describing it as a rustic cabin. Very professional and technologically advanced. Everything was safe and sanitary couldnt be more happy with our experience. All employees were friendly and welcoming and I cant wait to go back for more piercings and inquire about my tattoo.

I was pretty nervous going in and decided to go get a helix piercing at Modern Moose Studios because Ben, their body piercer, had great reviews. I can honestly say the reviews were spot on and he had such a great personality that helped calm me down and have fun. I would recommend any qnd everyone to go to Ben if you want to get a piercing.

My husband and I just got piercings by Ben and he is amazing!!! I have never had a piercing before and he made me feel super comfortable! He will answer every question knowledgeably and with patience. I got a septum piercing and my husband got snakebites. Wonderful job and highly recommend!

I cant even put into words how great Modern Moose and the staff are. Spent the entire day at the studio with some close friends to memorialize someone we lost suddenly. Never thought a day of sitting around a tattoo studio would be such a memorable experience. Steve made us all feel comfortable and we all walked out with amazing pieces of art! Got my first tattoo here. I loved my experience! The place was clean, and organized. My tattoo artist (Matt I think) was very professional. He was very quiet, but meticulous. Very focused on his work, and it shows. Ill gladly go back when Im ready toget my next tattoo.

Everyone is extremely personable and genuine. My artist Bri was fantastic. She was super fun and will be doing all my work in the future for sure. My sisters and I came to visit our parents and decided to get matching tattoos on a whim. I called and spoke to Kai who was so sweet. They got us in for a consultation which was super quick and we were set up for the next day. Austin did all three of our tattoos and they look amazing. Not only that, but this is my 4th tatt and it was the least painful and least bloody (I usually bleed a lot). Quick, clean, professional, and everyone was super nice and friendly. Absolutely awesome!!

Recently got tattooed here at Modern Moose Studios. Brianna Stein is the wonderful artist who designed and tattooed me. I absolutely love all of her work. My fiancé and I were in search of an artist to create two pieces for us that had a similar theme, but two entirely different styles. Thanks to a referral from a friend, we found Steve Johnson and Modern Moose Studios. From our very first visit we were always greeted warmly and with enthusiasm and Steve went out of his way to incorporate all the elements we wanted in our tattoos.Yesterday was our actual appointment to get our work done and we are both in LOVE with how they turned out. Steve was incredibly professional and very enthusiastic about the art he had drawn for us, and he made sure to explain their entire sterilization procedure as he set our sessions up. He even went as far as to stay late to finish my piece since we ran out of time.I have been tattooed by several artists in the past and Steve was definitely one of the very best. I would highly recommend him and I will definitely be back when its time for something new. :)

I went to Ben for a double helix piercing. Ben was funny, had great music playing, and made me feel at ease about getting my piercing. Altogether I met three staff members, all were friendly and knowledgeable not only to me but to the other customers waiting. Definitely will be going back there.

Absolutely LOVE this place, even back when it was hurricanes, very clean, friendly, one of my favorite spots and its close to me which is great. Ben is the best! I would not go to anyone else ever, so hes stuck with me, and can stab my face. He Does an amazing job on my micro dermals. Hes done 3 for me and they come out amazing, flush, perfect, hes very clean and I cant stress this enough how important that is. My absolute go to for all my piercing needs !

I’ve gone to Modern Moose two times so far and both have been so pleasant! The first time I got a septum piercing with Matt and he was great! Very professional and kind. My second visit tonight was to get a cover up tattoo with Bri! She was super friendly and did an amazing job on my tattoo! I sat for 3 hours getting my tattoo and had a great time and experience. I absolutely love this studio. The decor and the music give off a super chill and funky vibe, and I’ve now had 3 tattoos done here that have all turned out beautifully. Ben did awesome on my first piercing i love it so much. very professional yet outgoing and all about being sterile and i felt really comfortable with him! i felt light headed/ dizzy right after, and he was all about getting me to feel 100% again and comfortable. deff recommend him for your piercings!

Steve is the man! He added to a tattoo that I already had! Now the one that I had from another place looks so much better! Also as gay as this may sound coming from another guy, he was very gentle. I didnt even feel him tattooing me. Im was so pleased with his work that I scheduled an appointment for him to work on the sleeve I plan on getting. Hes the man! From start to finish I have been impressed by this studio. The staff is incredibly friendly and the shop is spotless! Everyone there has their own unique charm which makes for a very relaxing atmosphere (very important when you are electing to get stabbed lol). Ben did a piercing for me which has healed better than any other piercing Ive had. Just follow his steps and the rest will take care of itself. A week later Matt Hamner did a tattoo for me. I cant say enough great things about him or his work! The lines are beautiful, he worked with me to add some details, was light with the touch and humored all of my questions. I can’t recommend Modern Moose (Steve) highly enough! I was looking for someone to do line work tattoos and was nervous about shaky edges. At our consultation Steve went over exactly what I was looking for and reassured me that I was in good hands. My tattoos turned out SO CLEAN and exactly how I had imagined them. I will absolutely return to Steve for any future tattoos, all sanitary measures were taken and everyone there made sure I was comfortable and felt welcome.

So Mr Bo helped me a great Guy i literally cane to him with an inflamed nose 👃🏿 from my double piecing it was really inflamed he was gentle told me the truth helped me with after care and also made me aware that i didn’t need to use all the other things that the guy had recommended. I am allergic to surgical steel so I received Titanium and he also offered to take it out if i needed it to be taken out. Literally above and beyond what i can ask. Great place please check them out. You will bot be disappointed 😮‍💨 a breath of fresh air ❤️

I went for the first time, I just wanted to add a couple of very small leaves to a tattoo I already have and enlarge the wings of a butterfly. But it was very obvious that they did not want to attend me. The first thing was that the gentleman told me that he cant do what I want, but he can make another bigger tattoo on top and cover it up. The second thing he told me is that I have to put down a $100 deposit for a space in December because he is very busy until December. The total price was $300 for doing what he said, not what I want. In other words, the others who work there cant help me either. However, my friend gets tattoos in that place and they gave her her appointment, which was last week. So it is very obvious that they did not want to attend me because it is adding details to a tattoo that I already had a long time ago. I can pay anything, I have no qualms about money, but if they dont know how to win a new client, they lose her and I wont come back and maybe my friend wont either.

Marlee is the absolute best! She was so friendly and made me feel super comfortable the whole time and she had a really light touch as well when doing my tattoo. Seriously highly recommend this place their work is incredible.

I just had an incredible experience with Bri and Modern Moose in general. First off, customer service was top notch. Whoever answers the fb messages (I believe its Beau) has always been so kind and helpful when answering all my questions, which is hard to come by with tattoo shops, Ive had plenty encounters where front desk has been abrupt, rude, or unhelpful. But Beau is awesome, greeted me with a smile when I arrived and just an overall warm welcome.Bri is super talented and has her own unique style. she listened to my concerns and made sure I left happy with my piece. She made sure I felt comfortable throughout our session and really put me to ease. Very professional but also personable. I left extremely happy with the whole experience and look forward to working with Bri again! I highly recommend Modern Moose!

Gotten several tattoos here over the last few months by Marlee. She is truly a gem and my husband and I love her and her work. Weve recommended family go there and theyve had excellent experiences as well.Covid policy seems to be on point. Everything is extremely clean. They have large plastic walls between areas of high traffic and signs posted everywhere that masks are required.

I got my septum and navel pierced here by Ben. The shop is so clean and the staff is always friendly. I went to a different shop for piercings once before, and they werent as friendly or helpful. And Ben is so good about explaining the aftercare process and will answer any questions you have. I will never go to another shop again. Im really looking forward to doing more business with them in the future! Especially when it comes time for my first tattoo.

The studio was amazing. I asked a lot of questions via FB and they always answered promptly. When calling to make my deposit they were polite. Ashley did my tattoo. It was something I created and she did it perfectly. She was sweet and thorough. The place is very clean as well. Loved it and will definitely come back.

Me and my mom got the same tattoo different sizes, both turned out amazing. we were tattooed by austin and he did an AMAZING job. he was also super nice and patient. he did amazing details and made sure to show us each sterile needle and expiration dates for everything

I went to get pierced by Ben, he is extremely knowledgeable and caring. Its not about the just doing what you want, if it cant/wont work with your body he will recommend against it AND he will explain why it just wont work for you. Example, I wanted my Septum pierced, but I dont have space in my nose and IF I still wanted to go through with it he explained the complications that would occur... I was bummed I couldnt get my piercing but I respected him and the establishment for not being just about getting your money, but giving you ALL the information and having you decide if you still wanted it... I wanted it, but he is the professional with 15 years in the business so Im like 100% sure he knows what hes talking about. I still got my other piercings done and am thoroughly pleased with the results... If yall want some professionals please check them out.

NEVER TOO LATE...I turned 69 years old 10 months ago and had no tattoos, but always wanted one. I didnt trust just anyone to give me a tattoo so I started doing a lot of research on the internet. I went to and checked out 4 to 5 shops to see how they were ran and looked at some of the work the shops were doing, but I never felt that inner peace that told me this was the place to get my tattoo until I went to check out the Modern Moose Studios. When I walked in I was greeted by Steve, the owner, while he was working on a customer. J R walked in with a friendly handshake and a smile. J R was very helpful as I didnt know anything about tattoos. Ten minutes later I got to talk to Steve, the owner and decided to get my first tattoo by Steve. The studio was bright and very clean. Steve done an awesome job on my tattoo. I only regret not getting this done earlier, but it was truly worth waiting for because Steven and J R ROCK. Modern moose is so welcoming. As soon as you walk in the door their greeting you and someone will help you right away. The shop is very clean and I like that they showed me my needle in the package and took the time to make sure I knew that what they are using is safe and clean. This is by far the best experience I have ever had when it comes to tattoo shops. Bri did my tattoo and it looks amazing! I will be going back in the future.

Went in today only planning to get my septum re-pierced, came out with 3 piercings instead! When I went in I told Ben that I had already had my septum done before so he decided to check and see if it was still open. To my luck after 5 years of it being out it was! So instead of him just piercing it and charging me the money to have it done he took the time to see if it was even necessary. He put in a new ring for me and only charged me for the nose ring. I decided since he was very kind and didnt take advantage of me not knowing that septums stay open for quite some time and since I already had the appointment, I went ahead and got two lower lip piercings as well! Ben was awesome! Made sure I was ok during the process of several needles going though parts of my face, and kept up good conversations while everything was happening. Totally recommend if you need anything pierced to go to Ben!
