AR Designs Fine Art & Tattoo

This was my second time at AR Designs but my first time being tattooed by Alexis. I will NEVER be tattooed by someone else again. The love and dedication she has to her art work is unmatched. There are not many artists who can take the photos of your pets and turn them into something amazing like she did! AR Designs is super clean and you can tell that they take all the necessary precautions with sanitation and keeping everything sterile. I 1000% recommend Alexis for any sort of animal portrait you want done! The finished project looks just like my two babies! I am so thankful for Alexis and her hard work!

I had a mindblowingly awesome time getting my tattoo. Ive had a couple of small tattoos in the past, but this was my largest and most detailed (a cheetah). I was nervous about it hurting (I know, what a baby) and found that Alexis was so gentle I actually found it to be enjoyable! I loved the experience from start to finish and will be getting another tattoo there soon!

I have many tattoos but first time at this shop and I have to say it was the best experience Ive had with tattoo shops and artists. I had to put my chihuahua down and wanted a pet portrait done of him. Alexis Rosasco is an amazing artist with a grade A talent for pet portraits. Reasonable rates too. Thanks so much Alexis. Now I can carry Odie with me everywhere.

Alexis did a great job! Have many tats and this came out fantastic, very chill, calm and clean. The best in the Berkshires, DONT go anywhere else in town.

I had a wonderful experience. This was my first tattoo and Alexis made the environment comfortable, welcoming and I felt safe to voice any concerns or questions I had. She was incredibly gentle and the entire session jokes were being cracked, wonderful conversations were had along with comfortable silence in what felt like the perfect times. Everyone I interacted with were friendly and the place was cleanly. I 100% recommend A & R, this was a memorable first tattoo in the best way possible.

This place is truly the best in every way. The people are all super friendly and the atmosphere of incredible art is just beautiful. I really felt welcomed, listened to and cared for the entire time. My session was almost 6 hours long, but Alexis made it such a great experience. I left with my amazingly beautiful tattoo completely finished and just couldn’t be happier with it. I would never consider going anywhere else after coming to AR Designs Fine Art & Tattoo. Can’t wait until my next session with Alexis!

I love this place; its immaculate and must have one client come in for their appointment during the covid 19 times. Make sure everyone stays safe and is required to wear the mask. They are friendly tattoo artists.Alexis is my tattoo artist, and she has done six tattoos on me so far. She is a fantastic artist, and she always makes sure its even and looks perfect. Make sure she got everything covered up before I paid and left. I am always happy with how my tattoos look. It is 100% satisfying with her artwork on me!

Outstanding art, gorgeous location, and the most pleasant tattoo experience I have ever had! When I walked by the studio the first time, the vibe just drew me right in the door. Greeted by a smiling artist who turned out to be open, friendly, professional, so easy going, and super talented. She took such great care of me through our initial consult right up until the end session. Communication is key to getting a piece so beautiful that represents exactly what I was looking for. This wasnt my first tattoo, and I can tell you I have NEVER had such an enjoyable experience as I had at this shop. Five stars isnt enough!!!

The parlor is very welcoming and clean, everyone is very kind and the fine art is gorgeous. I highly recommend AR to anyone like me with social/environmental anxiety that wants to get a tattoo somewhere they can feel comfortable and safe. :)

Alexis is wonderful to work with! I had been thinking about getting a raven tattoo for a long time, and she was able to truly bring my idea to life. She is a very skilled tattoo artist, her studio is clean and welcoming, and I plan on returning for more ink soon. Her specialty in animal tattoos drew me to her, and Im so happy with the final art!

I had an amazing experience getting tattooed here. Alexis is very professional and kind. The environment in her shop is relaxing and calm. I really enjoyed the music and the setup of the shop. Definitely not your normal tattoo shop but the best place Ive been in a long time. And well my tattoo is absolutely beautiful and cant wait to sit in her chair again.

Emily is amazing. Just had my second tattoo with her and she is fast but does an excellent job. She also did a cover-up for me and it came out GREAT! Will be returning for another sesh.

Alexis is a true artist, a professional, and my go-to for any work! She is so receptive to what your vision is and works with you to create exactly what you want (and usually even better than what you had in your mind!). Her shop is unbelievably clean and sanitized, super inviting and she always provides a comfortable experience. Everyone that Ive had the pleasure of chatting with there is welcoming and professional. I have been looking for a place to get a meaningful tattoo for my recently deceased mother. For personal comfort reasons, I only let women tattoo me. The first place I looked into thats the local cool, hip spot did not have any women employed as artists so I was VERY pleased to find that Alexis not only owns the business and space herself but she also has an ALL women staff.Alexis was prompt with response time and flexible with scheduling. She helped mix and match hand writing samples to create what we wanted it to say. She was warm and welcoming while still strictly adhering to health standards. Incredibly precise line work while also some how maintaining a magically light hand.Her designs are def fire because the alarm went off right as she was about to start tattooing me. We all waited outside until the fire department cleared us and the residents of the attached buildings to re-enter. Definitely a once and a life time experience. 10/10 would recommend.

I have 3 pieces from Alexis and currently working on 3 more. After the first, I had decided I will not be going anywhere else. It isnt too pften you find a tattoo artist with a fine arts degree, and it shows in her work. Alexis takes her time making sure every last detail is exactly how you want it and she will advise on placement to be sure it is aesthetically pleasing. All of the girls are very professional and the shop is cleaner than any other I have ever been in. The entire atmosphere is very calming and unlike any other tattoo shop in the area.

I would HIGHLY recommend AR Designs Fine Art & Tattoo, especially Alyssa. I had a fantastic experience here and loved going to a women-owned and operated tattoo shop. I felt super safe and comfortable, and my tattoo came out great. I cant wait to come back for my next one!

I had a great experience with emily with the first tattoo ive gotten in 10 years. she was attentive and patient when i asked her to move the stencil a few times, and my touch-up was free and very satisfying.

Brought my stepdaughter for her first ever tattoo (and I got a matching one). Emily came highly recommended. Her energy was FANTASTIC, she did such a wonderful job and made her feel comfortable. Would/will absolutely see her again for another.

I am constantly impressed with this high end art studio. I have brought a few friends of mine here to get their tattoos done. The tattoos came out extremely well and I would say is much better than tattoos I have seen from other studios in the area. She also does art lessons, if you want to see her artwork ahead of time, check her walls. Its nothing short of amazing. Will recommend people to this studio. 5/5 A+

I have been tattooed by three different people and Alexis is definitely my favorite! She makes the time fun and as painless as possible! Shes also really good priced, especially since her work is amazing. I am sooo looking forward to my next tattoo from her (which hopefully will be soon!)

What I love about AR designs is that its clean and professional. The shop is beautiful. Abstract paintings and beautiful pictures cover the walls. She has a ton of cool artifacts and instruments. It really feels like youre getting tattooed an art gallery. Last time I came in Alexis made me hot chocolate and gave me York peppermint patties for me to munch while I was being tattooed. She also let me log into my UFC fight pass and watch fights on her flat screen TV.My tattoo came out amazing!!!!!! I got a huge sphinx on my thigh. I couldnt believe how well the colors work together and I didnt think you could tattoo a 3-D image that well but she did.Alexis has a fine arts degree from Tufts University and it shows. I was probably annoying and had a lot of questions about the colors and shading and so on. I dont know anything about art but I was very nervous to get such a big piece done on my body after all tattoos are forever. Alexis explained that color scheme to me and everything else Art Wise. She made me feel very comfortable and I was extremely confident and her ability before she even touched me with a needle.This was great experience for me and I think Im hooked I cant wait for my next tattoo.

Alyssa Richardson is one of the most professional and skilled tattoo artists I have ever met. Her line work is superb and her use of color is jaw dropping. She creates some of the most amazing tattoos that involve 2D and 3D realism. I would highly recommend getting a tattoo done by Alyssa. Wether you want a big piece that takes 5 hours or a smaller piece that takes 1 hour her work is flawless throughout. If you aren’t getting a tattoo done by Alyssa then you aren’t getting a tattoo done right.

AR Designs Fine Art & Tattoo has done all 3 of my tattoos. Resident artist, Alexis, has done two of them and her apprentice, Alyssa, did another one. No matter who you go to here, you will leave satisfied. They always do a fantastic job and really care about making your tattoo unique and special to you. Highly recommend!

Wonderful upscale CLEAN environment! Lex is awesome with excellent techniques in tattooing and all her art forms. Shes very personable,friendly and always working to meet your needs and exceed your expectations! My girlfriend and I both have ink from her and cant wait to go back!

Two beautiful pieces on my wrists for my grandmothers done by Resident Artist Alexis Rosasco. I’m super happy with how well they healed and the attention to detail. Also very pleased with a thigh peace done by the shop’s senior apprentice Alyssa Richardson. Overall a very welcoming and warm environment!!

I am currently taking private art lessons from Alexis. She is awesome. Very good spirited, has a very...good positive vibe about her, personality wise. Ill be honest, I was very nervous about meeting her, felt...inadequate compared to her and also taking art lessons too (could not even draw a stick figure that well LOL). But, after I met her, I felt it was the right decision to make. Her paintings/drawings are A+++++++! One day, I will be right there maybe teaching alongside her LOL just kidding. :D Very professional for business, but also very friendly and charismatic. Pricing is reasonable too. Close to home, and really great placement for an art place to be. North Adams, MA is known for artsy people so this is purrrrfect. :) Also, the tattoos look awesome from what I have seen. On a scale of 1-10, well, 10 doesnt even cut it. :)

As i write this i am in the middle of a multiple session full back tattoo. i went to alexis with an idea, which she translated to a drawing. she stepped into my head and put onto paper a more beautiful image than i can describe, and now we are bringing that image to life on, as she says, the canvas of my back. she is a truly talented artist. and to top it all off she is a wonderful person. not only am i getting my new tattoo but i have found a new friend. i promise you this, you will not be disappointed on any level if you go visit lex and her studio.i would love to share a pic when we are finished, for now it is a work in progress.

My Fiancé and I had our wedding bands done at AR Designs. Lex was extremely easy to work with from conception of the project to the final product. The atmosphere of the shop was very welcoming, clean and crock full of eclectic artwork. We both left impressed and excited to show off our new ink, and are both planning out more projects for the future.

Every year Lex adds another dash to the map. I wouldnt think of going anywhere else!

The only thing thats better than her professionalism and personality is her talent. She will work with you 100% in order to make your idea a reality. The owner Alexis did these simple tattoos as a favor to me and my son. She stepped way below her pay grade and artistic ability, and it meant a lot to me and my kids. We are so happy.
