First of all, Ava the artist is AMAZING! I join the family to get tattoo. I was nervous because I bring my boys. Wendy and Ava make things easy and really enjoy my boys s company. Ava did the tattoo on us(5 of us). She made sure I satisfied with my tattoo that covering up my “not great tattoo”. Her energy is awesome. I really appreciate Ava and Wendy very much. I highly recommend you to go this tattoo shop for sure. 💛

Extremely friendly artists, were very willing to work with me and my mom on the designs that we wanted and made sure to nail down every detail perfectly so we both left happy, I could not recommend this shop enough!!!

Diane is a pro, but like lots of professionals whove spent countless hours getting really good, shes a little rushed and can get sloppy. I attached photos for reference of the double lines in my small piece of work. I travelled 6 hours to go to this studio for a cremation tattoo, and brought a friend who wanted small work also. I was told we were scheduled for 3 hours. She got to us 20 minutes late (absolutely fine) but then rushed and rushed and rushed us through the design process. At one point, when I asked for an edit, she said, Yes, but youre pushing it. Then our actual tattoos took less time than the designing, which is reflected IMHO, and we were shuffled out after 2 hours total out of our 3.Her artwork and ability is unquestionable, but she didnt spell check our designs; added some of the lines I had specifically pointed out that i wanted omitted; and changed or added things on the fly. When there are some very talented AND careful, thoughtful artists out there, I would recommend seeking those out instead.

Ava is a very talented tattoo artist! She worked with me to give me exactly what I was looking for. She never hesitated if I needed to change or move anything. Her fine lines are exceptional. It was my third time there, even took my sister to her. Highly recommend her. The shop is clean and everyone is friendly!Time to work on the next design...

My friend and I both had appointments with Ava for our tattoos, and we really could not have had a better experience! We wanted to support a woman-owned business, and this place was perfect. Ava is a super talented artist and an overall wonderful person. She took the time to get to know us and what we were looking for, the time honestly flew by, and our tattoos look incredible. Just came here yesterday, Ava is the best artist Ive dealt with. She offered food and drinks, she was the nicest and chill artist. She makes you feel at home and comfortable. Would definitely recommend going to her and getting your work done by Ava.

Ava, Diane, & the whole crew are amazing!!!! Ava did a group session for myself and my family. Not only is she an incredible artist, she’s super easy to work with. A few of us had a adjustments or changes that day and she didn’t bat an eye. Also, one of our party had a dizzy moment that lasted longer than a minute. AGAIN, Ava was soooo sweet and kind. She didn’t rush anything. Diane jumped in as well to make sure everything was ok & help care for our family. And I haven’t even gotten to how kind they are to provide numerous snack and drink options!!!! We will never go elsewhere for our next Tattoos in that area!!! Thank you!!

I just got a fine line tattoo here of a skeleton hand and Ava gave my cousins and I such an amazing experience. I am a returning client to Moonlight tattoo. Ive always loved the atmosphere and professionalism of Moonlight. I just had Ava design and tattoo me with two tattoo ideas I had and she did amazing. Super professional, great energy, and made my friend and I feel very comfortable and welcome. We had an amazing experience. Will definitely be coming back!!!

Moved to the south jersey area a little over a year ago and have been searching for an artist in the area but couldnt commit. We ran into Ava very randomly and overheard that she tattooed, she was super friendly and gave us her info. Finally got tattooed by her a few days ago and she did such an amazing job, she listened to what I wanted and had a really great vibe and energy! The shop is clean and feels like youre hanging out at your friends moms house EXCEPT your friends mom is super cool, has spicy decor, and has awesome snacks (which is important if youre sitting in a chair getting ink for 2+ hours)!! Definitely will be going back!!

I’m so glad I found this tattoo parlor!!! Both Diane & Ava are absolutely gorgeous people and they made me feel so welcomed during my appointment. I’ve found my new go-to! I’ve been to the “top” tattoo parlor of NJ and it can hardly compare to the atmosphere and professionalism of Moonlight! This is by far, the best tattoo experience I’ve had. I was in the military and have had my fair share of tattoo shops and experiences. I must say Diane is excellent! She’s a seasoned artist with such attention to detail. She sat and listened to my ideas for my sleeve and put it together beautifully. She truly cares and it shows in her work. Diane makes your vision turn into reality and I love that about her. Don’t even get me started with Wendy who is excellent with customer service and makes it such a friendly environment. Both of them are a riot to be with. It makes the whole tattoo experience that much better. Can’t wait to go back! Highly highly recommend!

I absolutely love coming to this parlor. Since the pandemic, I have been wanting another tattoo so I figured now is a good time as any to get not one, but two.Diane is amazing at what she does. Ive been getting work done by her over the past 28 years. Fantastic lady and I have nothing but respect for and what her passion in life is. Also, knowing that she is an animal activist makes it more heartwarming.I totally recommend going to Moonlight Tattoo to have any work done. The staff is warm , friendly and always able to accommodate. You wont be disappointed, I promise you.

First ever tattoo, and couldnt be happier! Mike Hessinger did an AMAZING job on myself and my brothers - we lost our mom earlier this year, and we really wanted to commemorate her in a way that was personal and respectful. Mike exceeded all expectations. Highly recommend!

I was extremely impressed with Diane the owner and still an artist with more experience than I really know. I have been going here and to her since my first tattoo 8 years ago and still get compliments and my favorite question is is it new? Nope 7 years old.I had been to other artist on the west coast but no one is like Diane or her help.

TO SOME IT UP GO HERE FOR YOUR NEXT TATTOO!!!!My husband got his first tattoo at Moonlight. His experience was Amazing. The artist listened and gave him exactly what he wanted. And the tattoo is perfect. And still after 8 years hasnt faded (and with red being a color that is the most difficult thats incredible). She also took her time, made sure it was centered.

Diane was amazing! We came down from Maryland and wanted to get a tattoo. She was perfect from the time we walked in to the time we left. Explained all the COVID procedures regarding equipment, detailed everything out as she was doing it, made sure the placement/design was to my liking BEFORE she started tattooing, and afterwards explained in great detail the aftercare process. This wasn’t my first tattoo so granted I know the process but for someone who doesn’t know she would be amazing to get tattooed by. The shop was clean and sanitary. The restroom was super clean as well (you can tell a lot about a businesses cleanliness by how they clean their restroom).If you’re looking for your first tattoo or a new one, Moonlight Tattoo is definitely the place to go.

Got my first tattoo from Mike in early August. He did such a great job that I went back and got a second one in early September. Mike was very thorough and answered my questions, went over everything before he got started. I gave him several photos of what I wanted and he incorporated a bit from each photo for a final product. I got exactly what I envisioned. Great job and highly recommended.

My wife and I received tattoos from Diane and highly recommend Moonlight Tattoo. Most times when were out we often times get stopped because of our art. We both have previous tattoos from other locations but people seem to be drawn by the colors and clean work Diane does. we love this place and really cant express the quality and attention to detail that goes in to our pieces.

The crew at Moonlight are the best kind of professionals, with talent to spare! They are patient, attentive, and provide the highest quality of service. The shop is clean and comfortable. All of the artists do great work and theyre always my first choice.

This is by far the best tattoo shop I have been to. Everyone was so nice and accommodating and the price was very reasonable. They made sure everything was to my liking and perfectly lined up. I HIGHLY suggest going here if you are looking for a place to get a tattoo.

Mike is the consummate professional. He is particular and strives to be the absolute best at his craft. He is patient, quick to respond by email and really enjoys his work. It’s a tradition of mine to get a tattoo every time I take a vacation, by far this was the worst experience. I feel like I was taken advantage of, I personally have 8 tattoos minus the one at this location. I got a small/ medium sized tattoo that took 35 minutes consisting of only lines, no shading or colors, that cost $195. Over the phone it was confirmed there was no minimum price for any size tattoo, upon conversation post tattoo, it was brought to my attention that there was a $90 minimum for any tattoo. Which I happen to find interesting because during the course of regular conversation I came to find out the artist had done/ continues to do small tattoos. The biggest question in my mind is who would choose to pay a minimum of $90 to get a wave the size of a penny tattooed on their ankle? As a person from out of state I feel I was taken advantage of and disrespected. Not only was the price for the effort of work taken advantage of, I easily notice a quality difference between this tattoo, and one that took over 4 hours to complete which cost less than half of the price.

They always do a great job! They will sit down and go over everything about your tattoo, and answer any questions. Been here multiple times and satisfied every time.
