I stopped in with a picture for a mother/daughter tattoo and Monica took us the next day and completely knocked it outta the park!!! Listened and created her own colors to make our idea come to life. Thanks girl and sorry bout the clock 🤦🏻‍♀️💋

Great shop!! Jim did 3 awesome dog paws on my ankle. I showed him the picture and he created an amazing version of the picture I had. He did 2 very personalized tattoos for my friend who was with me. He was patient and allowed us to fumble around with placement & the perfect size we wanted. I highly recommend Jim!!

I had an awesome experience getting tattooed here, and I am extremely happy with how it came out. Everything was clean, and a very comfortable environment. Parking was easy

Jim is the best. Not only is he a tattoo artist, but he is an artist that tattoos. I have never been disappointed. I have been getting tattooed for over 30 years and Ive seen all types. Jim is top of the line. HIGHLY recommend. I cannot say enough good things about him. The new shop is absolutely fabulous too! If its your first tattoo or a cover up or just an addition to your collection, Jim is the best man to go to! No doubt!

I decided on a whim that I wanted to get my old stick and poke redone and Monica took me as a walk in! Walked out within 20 mins with a new tat! Both her and Jim were professional, clean, and fun :)

Today my mom & I got matching tattoos in memory of our lab that we lost 6 months ago. Monica, was a pleasure to work with. She was friendly and accommodating with date and time. The tattoo itself took 15 mins (if that). She did a great job 👏 will be back for sure! Thanks Monica for creating a great piece and making something so special. Shop was clean and spacious.

Went to Jim for a couple floral tattoos about a month ago--both came out stunning! He even touched up an old tattoo thats colors had turned an ugly grey and made it nice and vibrant again! All have healed very nicely 💯Returned today for a volunteer tattoo for the shops apprentice, Ash--a cute floral piece he designed that came out super nice. He was focused, attentive to my needs, and easy and fun to talk to!I highly recommend checking them out if you want a great looking tattoo done in a friendly, professional, and super clean shop. I will definitely be back!! ☺️👍

Had a few tattoos done here by Ash and he was awesome! He took his time on the designs and was very kind to us! He makes you feel very safe and comfortable through the entire process. Nicest tattoo artist and actually a GOOD artist as well. The whole studio is awesome. Highly suggest coming here to any artist.Also we payed the “get what you get” machine and I got this pretty rose! Play it! So fun

I got tattooed by Ash and had an amazing experience. From the beginning of the process, they were enthusiastic about the design concept. As we developed the idea, they were incredibly patient with me as I made minuscule adjustments and they are very knowledgable about what would / would not look good / is realistic in terms of color color and detailing. Getting the tattoo, they were so much fun to banter with, excellent company, beautiful shop space, and I couldnt be happier with how the cheetah came out! Go get a tattoo from them

The studio is clean and bright and the staff is warm and welcoming. Jim T colored in a tattoo that is a memorial for my mom and did an amazing job. She would’ve loved it 💙. He also did a tattoo last seen for my best friend and helped her pick the perfect placement and gave her a really cool tattoo. I highly recommended him!!!

My brother, mother and I went to Dead Whale for various tattoos. Jim and Noel are great artists and very friendly people. Both were very patient and they made sure that the design and placement were exactly to our liking. I highly recommend this place to anybody looking for a tattoo they will forever enjoy.

Over a year ago, I got a tattoo to commemorate my grandmother who recently passed. From when I first got my tattoo, to where it is now, it is still a beautiful work of art. I dont remember the name of the person that did my tattoo, but Im confident that whoever it is they will knock it out of the park. My tattoo is of three separate yellowjackets, and each of them has held up perfectly. I highly recommend anyone from the shoreline of CT get a tattoo from here!

Amazing studio! Went there for the first time to get my cats paw print done and they were super nice and welcoming environment. My tattoo artist was Brian G who’s specialty is American traditional did the most gorgeous shading. Would highly recommend this tattoo studio to my friends and colleges :)

First and foremost, as a healthcare provider, I was impressed with the cleanliness of the office. I was referred to Jim by a close friend who referred to him as a light hand when tattooing. Jim was caring when he responded to my initial email. In person, he was easy going and amicable. I am happy that I went to him to receive my first tattoo and would recommend him to my friends and family. Thanks Jim!

Not sure where to begin, Jim is a very talented artist with amazing skills . The dead whale is a very clean and a great atmosphere. Doesnt feel or look like a typical tattoo shop and it is very cozy. I had a great time sitting for a tattoo with the shops apprentice, Ash! He was incredibly attentive to my needs and open to all and any suggestions I brought up about the tattoo. This was only my third tattoo and Ash made sure to talk me through the entire process, how the colors might change over time, and was incredibly thorough with his instructions for aftercare! I cant wait to go back to The Dead Whale for my next tattoos!

I followed Jim from another shop because his work is so amazing! His professionalism and perfectionism are unparalleled. I have at least a dozen tattoos from him and have sent many friends to Jim. ALL of them rave about his work and his care/kindness. I would drive out of state if I had to for Jim! He’s a good dude.The Dead Whale is a clean, inviting space with nice energy, plenty of parking. The Dead Whale was awesome for my first tattoo! I had a great experience with Noel. He was really helpful and very good at what he does. He was very good at calming nerves and giving his opinion when needed. I highly recommend for anyone, especially first tattoos!

My first tattoo up in Connecticut. I’m from New York, I expected city prices. I got an amazing customized tattoo for $180. The place is immaculately clean and sanitary. Everyone is so nice and welcoming. This is definitely my go to spot for tattoos from now on!

Monica was great, made an appointment, was able to get in same day and my son loved it. It was for his 19th Birthday and it really helped to make his Birthday a great experience. Very Nice work, priced right, highly recommended!

Noel the tattoo artist was very unprofessional. My aunt waited her whole life to get a tattoo and Noel ruined the experience with his own agenda. He took a picture of the tattoo and twisted what the tattoo meant to go against those of the polish decent and said they were against lgbtq people. Something that my family supports fully. It’s disappointing and confusing he would take the beautiful tattoo that meant something completely different and made a political statement that does not align with the beliefs of that person that received the tattoo. Extremely unprofessional. A meaningful tattoo experience was ruined by Noel

GF got a tattoo here with family as a family bonding gift to her mother for her birthday whose had this in mind for yearsBrian wasnt patient in choosing their design and in turn rushed through a simple wrist tattoo.His lining is unsteady especially in the lower half which is also lighter then the top because he didnt give it the attention he should have.Also it was $80 for THAT!For something youre gonna to have for the rest of your life go a little further and get someone who wants you to have a good experience and artwork.

My cousin got a tattoo there today. She had the Polish word Rodzina which means family put on her back. The artist promptly posted a pic on his Instagram and claimed it means peace and used her photo to further his personal political agenda. Completely unprofessional! How many other clients have unknowingly been used to further someones personal political agenda???Dont believe me? I have the screenshot from Noels IG to prove it. My family is outraged!

We came today and my daughter and wife and I each got a tattoo done and Jim and noel the tattoo artist do amazing work.I highly recommend these guys for tattoo

Was shocked on the price of my whale I got tattooed on my hand was cheaper than I thought it was gonna be very nice and amazing interior mon had done my tattoo and I fully expect to come back to this shop.
