Brought my daughters in for their first tattoo- Smitty was more than accommodating and knowledgeable. They got exactly what they wanted and then I sat down with Jay for my first tattoo in over 20 years. Very clean shop, family friendly (which was important as I was there with my family) and we all were satisfied with the result. Will definitely be back!

Had a walk-in appointment with Josh for a couple of tattoos. He got me in before I had to go back to Texas. Josh was easy to work with and nice to conversate with. Very professional shop, no vulgar or crude talk going on of which I really appreciate. I was very pleased with my tattoos and had a great overall experience. Thank you OC Tattoo!!

Hans is really great at his art. I came in with a tattoo that needed some work after three years. He listened to what I had in mind, asked me questions and then offered his own suggestions and the result is perfect. We already have plans for a future addition to the piece. Hello Mount Hood. We see you.This is the third tattoo I’ve asked Hans to create. Both times I’ve visited Oregon City Tattoo it has been last minute and I really appreciate the walk-in service. I hate planning ahead.PS. They only offer tattoos. No piercings. Google is wrong about the services they provide.

I love the tattoo I got from here the other day! I did not have smitty as my artist, but I cannot for the life of me remember the name of who did mine. Anyways, he did an amazing job! Super light handed, he knew it was my first time and would ask if I was still okay since I was very nervous. The entire atmosphere was laid back and relaxed yet very clean. I will definitely be recommending them to everyone I know, and be going back for my next project 🥰

Amazing experience with Josh! This was my first tattoo and yes, I was nervous. Josh put me right at ease answering all my many questions that I had with his welcoming attitude and patience. The shop is very clean and comfortable which also helped ease my nervousness. I will definitely be going to back to him for my next one.

I love this place! Oregon City Tattoo is a tucked away gem for sure. Its clean, its got awesome vibes, the 2 guys there are freaking awesome, down to earth and really really talented. I wanted this Slipknot goat skull and Pokie definitely delivered. I love it! Going back in a few months for the background. 10/10!***update 3/4/23I went in and saw Pokie again to get my tattoo finished and absolutely love it!!! I tried to describe the star I wanted as metal and scratchy and he knew exactly what I meant and executed it perfectly. Thank you guys! 🖤🤘

What a great time. It was my first tattoo and I was nervous. But Hans was super chill and took my design artwork and made a few minor changes and tattooed an amazing tattoo. Met Smitty and Josh and all these guys were true artists. Highly enjoyed the experience and the shop. Super stoked I had this shop do the work after a little research.

There is no words or pictures that I can use to successfully describe the awesomeness of this tattoo. I was in town visiting from Maryland and was referred to Smitty by my colleagues. Needless to say, he is f****** amazing! I previously had the black heart on my arm and wanted to be able to start to work downward. I found this image and asked for something similar and he can choose whatever with the colors, and wow! Just wow wow wow! If you can zoom in close enough, youll see small details that make this flower almost look realistic. There are no hard lines either, which was my one major ask. As many people from my office stated, I highly recommend Oregon City Tattoo.

Smitty was able to squeeze me and a friend in for a small matching tattoo. His pressure was light, really took the time to ensure it was the shape and color we wanted. He was friendly (which is rare for most shops) After a bad experience at another pdx shop we were relieved to find him and his skills. We also got to leave a copy of our tattoo outline on the walls

Smitty did a tattoo for my daughters 21st birthday. She had wanted this sketch of her great-grandmother to be her first tattoo. She was nervous to be tattooed but Smitty was wonderful. He is very nice and knowledgeable and made us all feel completely comfortable. The studio was very clean and we liked that we were the only people as Smitty runs a one-man tattoo parlor. The quality of his work is amazing and we were very pleased with our results. And his prices were the best I have found! These fellows are really fun to work with! At 69 years old I was there for my first tattoo. They made it a great experience. They were willing to work with me making me very comfortable. Ive always been wanting to get a tattoo, but Im so indecisive. I finally found this shop and I really liked their work. I finally decided Id go get a tattoo. I went with my Amsterdam and a friend. My buddy and I were searching for a tattoo place that accepts walk in’s on a last minute decision, we called and and got an answer straight away. We got there had to wait a while but as soon as it was our turn we got exactly what we wanted. Pokie was our artist and he was amazing, gave us exactly what we wanted and was hella chill the whole time. Definitely would recommend stopping by.

I came to OC tattoo because I saw Smittys tats online. His work looks well done, clearly he has talent. The person who gave me my tat was a newer individual, not Smitty. I assumed the artistsin the shop wete experienced, and well seasoned. The tat the individual gave is okay best. I was disappointed that the artist had to look at pintrest and copy an exact idea from pintrest. Im also not impressed with the shading now that its healed. Ive never received shading before, so I wasnt sure how it would look as it healed. Now that its healed, the shading is mediocre and okay. I plan on going to another artist to fix a few things.

I have been on a journey for about ten years to begin the process of a coverup. I have spent a lot of time learning about what matters to me, what has meaning to me. and what I think will be a great fit. This journey has included time spent with tattoo artists throughout the Portland area. I have come to know the different styles and personalities of the artists in the area. Most have been pleasant experiences but even still I have usually left wondering if the artist and myself are on the same page. I decided to give Oregon City Tattoo a call. Smitty answered and I asked a couple questions which he answered in a very friendly way. I asked if I could drop by and show him what I have been hoping for. No Problem he said. I went in and was greeted by a friendly smile and seemed interested in what I wanted to show him. He was very helpful and listened to everything I had to say about my ideas. He was very open to creating a piece consistent with what I was asking for. His art and ability seem to span a broad spectrum of styles and his confidence was reassuring. He explained his schedule and his timeline and I look forward to what the future has to offer when this time comes to put this art beneath my skin! Ill let you all know how it goes!So, I never followed up on the coverup. However, my son and I returned a year later, 12/14/22, and met Hanz. My son and I decided to get tattoos to celebrate his adulthood and our relationship. Hanz was amazing! He was easy going and very professional. He drew up some ideas and we both got our tattoos done the next day. The experience was top notch. The tattoos are amazing! I completely recommend Oregon City Tattoo! I will be back for more work again soon.

My wife and I ended our honeymoon with matching tattoos courtesy of Oregon City Tattoo and couldnt be more pleased with the outcome. Smitty is reasonably priced, works blindingly fast, and has a wonderfully dry sense of humor we both appreciated. We usually get New Tattoo Energy everywhere we go, all They were great! We will use them again!, only to decide later, Meh, they were just okay, but its been several days and just thinking about our experience, not to mention how great we look, makes us giggle like little girls. We will be back, possibly to have some other mediocre tattoos redone.

He did an AMAZING job and I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out. I went in to get 2 ankle tattoos and he did a fantastic job on them. I brang in my own cloud and olive branch designs and he was able to make them into clean and professional masterpieces that I’ll have forever! I recommend him 100% and he was also super kind and professional.

The shop is so cool 3rd floor, I loved the yellow bench outside the door, tattoo chair is right next to the window (which overlooks downtown Oregon city), I got to put my tattoo on the wall, good price, and Smitty was a really cool funny guy Im glad I got my first tattoo from him. I want to fly back to Oregon( from Florida) to get another tattoo.

Very cool shop, they have a wall where they put everyones tattoo art work up on, its really impressive. The artist and the work they put out is top quality will be going back for a lot more work.
