Absolutely fantastic experience with Colin! Our unique Friday the 13th flash tattoos turned out so perfect. Thank you for taking us as walk in’s. We will be returning for more artwork.

I had work done by one of their apprentices, Angela, and could not be happier. Her lines are incredibly clean. I highly highly recommend getting work done from her. She has a gentle touch with the outlines so even if you hate needles (like I do) you will be fine. I nearly feel asleep during the session for the outline. Color goes in this upcoming Saturday. I honestly found my tat artist for life. If you go to her for work you will not be disappointed.

Irezumi is such a cool place! I got my first tattoo here with Cat, and she was wonderful to work with. Staff is kind and helpful and the vibe is amazing.

I absolutely love this tattoo shop more than any other one Ive been in. This shop has an extremely welcoming atmosphere and staff, an amazing snack table (probably my favorite feature), friendly artists, and extremely fair pricing. I cannot recommend it enough! I usually use Shelby for my tattoo needs and shes done an outstanding job every time! I went to her for my most sensitive tattoo and she absolutely killed it. Each tattoo Ive gotten from her has brought in loads of compliments due to how well done they are. Attached are pictures of work Shelby has done on me, but hopefully there will be more soon!

I had high hopes for Irezumi considering the numerous good reviews. However, I scheduled an appointment with Shelby via Instagram. We had discussed designs, pay, numbing cream, and more…everything you would need to know for the appointment. I arrived an hour early for numbing cream to which the (I have got to assume) owner or manager greeted us unhappily. He seemed annoyed we were there. Turns out he had no idea why we were there. Shelby had never confirmed the appointment despite our messages. While waiting for some answers, because we didn’t know this at the time, the owner approached me to fill out the waiver. After a few minutes of waiting, I asked about the numbing cream. It was close to 11:30am and it was supposed to be put on half an hour ago. Regardless, the appointment was going to be pushed back because the owner “couldn’t do anything” and Shelby wasn’t present. The owner texted Shelby to let her know we were there to which I received a message via Instagram from her to let me know she just got home, her dog was sick “like she ate something bad or poison or something”, and she had been logged into a different Instagram, so she never saw my messages. Shelby, your activity is active on Instagram. I could see you ignoring me for almost a week even during our conversations about scheduling. I also have two Instagrams! Your activeness on Instagram will show to both accounts even if you’re just on one, but if you’re logged into both account which you would have been because there was an active timestamp than you would’ve received notifications for both instagrams no matter which one you were on. Between the unhappy owner, Shelby’s responsiveness, and more than one excuse as to why she wasn’t there I left. Another friend was trying to schedule an appointment through Irezumi as well, she called numerous times, messaged different artists, and the business Instagram page to no response. It’s clear you don’t want any new customers. Shelby offered me a discount for the trouble, but I can’t get over the fact she lied to me. I had spoken to multiple other tattoo artist and selected Shelby due to her numerous good reviews, but I will be the person with a negative review. This isn’t specifically directed at Shelby though, the owner had just as much to do with it as she did. Owning a business comes with many hats including taking responsibility for your employees and answering the phone! I would suggest not allowing employees to book via their personal Instagram. I reached out to Cat on July 31st and have yet to hear back from her. All together, I’d rather take my business to a tattoo place that welcomes me with open arms as a new client and isn’t impossible to reach. I have attached a photo below showing that Shelby ignored me.EDIT: My friend also said she reached out via Facebook too.I was speaking to an individual about the situation and they stated Shelby canceled on them once due to her cat dying. I am beginning to wonder if animals are a go to excuse to get out of appointments.

Been here for two tattoos now & i’ll definitely be back for a third!shelby did mine (wings) and my friend’s (the cross & heart) tattoos the last time we went and we loved her! she was super informative about everything she did and distracted us when we were struggling a bit. highly recommend her!the place is super clean and both of my tattoos have healed super good. everyone is always super nice, it’s a really good shop to go to.

I scheduled my appointment with DJ. I was getting 2 at that time. I asked a couple questions prior to get a professional opinion before beginning. He took the time to answer my questions so I would get them exactly where I wanted them.DJ explained everything to me prior to starting and during the tattooing process.He did a great job and I appreciate all his time and work out into making them look how I wanted.I will be back for more!The photos were taken the day I got the tattoos done, hence the redness.I did have an allergic reaction to some pigment which can happen and is in no way a result of anything done wrong by the artist or shop. I messaged the shop and asked about what I should do to keep the tattoo looking good as it healed. They gave me information on what I should do to help the allergy and also wanted me to let them know how it heals.They responded with care and genuine interest on how it heals.I have nothing but respect for this shop and it’s artists and staff.

My first time getting a tattoo period. And I gotta say this parlor is amazing. My and my wifes artist Cat was amazing. She was very professional and helped calm me which is a plus seeing as I have high functioning anxiety. Also they really help with aftercare. Definitely will be coming back for future tattoos.

I gave two stars because I like the work I’ve gotten done here, but there is a serious lack of communication and it’s near impossible to hear back from someone in a timely manner. I’ve also shown up to my appointments multiple times and the design/idea I had sent was not given to the artist and I had to wait, one time as long as 45 minutes, as they drew it up. I’m super disappointed because again, I like the work, but I can’t handle there being no communication.

They are absolutely amazing! I got a bat on my wrist. Cat did such a wonderful job and had light hands. Definitely wasn’t as painful as it could of been. And the healing process was the least painful and had no scabbing compared to all my other tattoos! Highly recommend!

These artists truly care about their clients and take their time to make sure you get what you want in a clean and friendly environment. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

I’ve been to multiple different artists in hopes to find someone who fits me & haven’t had the best of luck UNTIL I met DJ. 3 years ago around this time of year and I immediately knew HE WAS MY GUY! First impression checked all of the marks for me! He is such a sweet & personable person! He was even able to match my vibe & play music accordingly to boost my experience;Helped me feel at ease. The tattoos I get are definitely out there, but I’ve never felt judged by him what so ever. I had recently gotten a throat tattoo, which as we know is personality shifting or some may even say “life altering”, but with DJ i knew i was in the right hands. I recommend this place to everyone I know & then some! ( I literally have business cards on hand at all times 😂) The atmosphere at Irezumi is truly unmatched! We needed a bit of a change around LaSalle/Peru & we got it. I’ve even had a couple run ins with another artist here named Shelby, who, in my opinion is a nice touch to the place. I haven’t had a tattoo by her yet, but every time I see her she is just the sweetest thing! She typically just pokes her head in during a session just to see what’s going on, but her presence alone is comforting.💕

I have been here twice. Once with Cat and now with Shelby. I have been pleased both times! Shelby got to tattoo my husband for his first ever tattoo, she did an awesome job! Can honestly say this is my new favorite place! Also love the deals they offer! Makes it easier to get what you have been wanting when its affordable!

DJ has done 4 of my tattoos and I just love them!!! Mainly because they all have a heartfelt meaning behind them. He is a great artist!! And hes a really cool person to talk to. Not only is the atmosphere of this tattoo shop amazing and unique but the work that comes out of the shop is the best part. I have never been disappointed with my work done there and the staff/artists are very responsive online and do what they can to make your experience a good one. My tattoos I have had done by the artist DJ are always done great. He takes his time with his work and always makes sure it is done to your expectations! I would like to take a minute and thank Kat for the absolutely phenomenal job she did on my husbands first tattoo this year (2023) in memory of his dad.

My artist was Shelby, she was super kind and patient with me as it was my first bigger tattoo. She talked me through the whole thing and was open to breaks if I needed one. She’s the best!! Highly recommend her not only for the way she treated me, but her work is also phenomenal!!

My fourth tattoo was done at The IreZumi studio in LaSalle county.The atmosphere here was laid back, neat, hygienic, and clean.I was impressed by the overall customer service I experienced. Everyone I spoke with went out of their way to answer all my questions, they addressed my concerns, and absolutely met all of my expectations.My tattoo artistShelby was very accommodating, listened to what I was asking for, andmade me feel relaxed and comfortable.As for the tattooing process It went smooth and steady. My overall pain was so minimal, I actually fell asleep.The artwork -I’ve just gotta say,“Shout out too Shelby! “My tattoo, this one is the best one I’ve gotten yet. I’ve had nothing but complements and positive feedback on my design and the attention to detail given. I absolutely love it and I seriously recommend going to this place! I have had Cat do 2 tattoos for me. The first was in Oct and a friend and I got matching tattoos. The second was in March and was very special as it is a memorial tattoo for my dad who passed in Feb. They worked with me and my daughter to get us in on his birthday to have them done, which meant the world to me. Cat was great to work with she got just what I wanted, was very easy to talk to, I highly recommend her and plan to go back for more in the future!

If you’re unsure about where to get your tattoo done, I would highly recommend Irezumi! The atmosphere is great and all the artists are kind and they do great work! I was very indecisive about what Scorpio tattoo I wanted and where I wanted it and she was patient with me and let me try a few different spots. Also made some additions to the tattoo when I asked if she could do that, and she made it look very neat! Also explained the steps of aftercare for my tattoos thoroughly even after telling her I had already had a few tats. Would def come again! (Tattoo done by Cat)

I had wanted a second tattoo for 22yrs but couldn’t decide what I wanted. Finally I picked a design. I had heard wonderful things about Irezumi and wanted to get it done there. My tattoo artist DJ was incredible! He was down to earth, nice and took the time to make sure I was happy. I’m head over heels with my tattoo and can’t recommend Irezumi and DJ ENOUGH!!!! They are AMAZING!!!!

I visit Irezumi for my first time when they had their Halloween deal running and I had DJ as my artist - he was very thorough with explaining that the idea I came in with, wouldn’t align with the deal that was running because it needed to be a little bit bigger and have those intricate details- it wasn’t impossible to do obviously but he didn’t want to leave me short handed - which I was greatly appreciative of! He was persistent that this is a piece of art that is on my body forever and he wanted to make sure it was something I truly wanted and it was nobody’s decision but mine! DJ is all around talented and honest, I love my newest piece!!!

The atmosphere inside the shop/parlor shouted “clean” and “professional”, while the Japanese theme is welcome change to any traditional place in the area.The artists went to great lengths to make me feel safe and satisfied, moving my stencil about a dozen times so I can arrive at the product I was looking for. Additionally, I felt no rush from the artist as he was just as concerned as I was about where the best place for the design would be.A testament to the cleanliness of the session, my design came out wonderfully, I will be going back in the near future.Thanks again guys!Louis “Lou” Sassel

We made appointments 3 weeks in advance for 3 people. Got to the appointment 20 minutes early, for nothing but ignorant attitudes. Everything we wanted took too much time or to much detail. When we lowered our standards the next excuse was oh well it will be another 2+ hours before we can get you in. This place could honestly learn some things in customer service. They did offer to let us change dates but we had already took the time off for today and had to pay for childcare. They could have called to reschedule when they realized they over booked or whatever other excuse they would have came up with. The other tattoo artist just kind of looked at us with disgust when we said what we wanted. I will never recommend this place or even consider them as an artist option anymore.

First tattoo and I couldn’t pick a better place to start. Extremely kind staff and amazing atmosphere. When I told my artist what I was thinking of she provided multiple different ideas I could go with and was very helpful. Will be booking again soon.

I got my first tattoo at Irezumi. I was always skeptical about getting a tattoo since I have a nerve flinch. However when I got my tattoo of a band logo, the tattoo artist did a very well job at holding my arm still and it turned out excellent. Would 10 out of 10 recommend.

DJ has great energy and soft touch. This place as a whole has good energy. I made more appointments to get more tattoos here. Irezumi runs some pretty good specials so follow them to keep abreast.

Im 38 I have always wanted a tattoo but was always afraid due to health problems but Shelby is awesome she made me feel not so nervous and took in consideration and was patient with me 1000 percent recommended her great lining and fast who knows maybe in the future if im up for it ill get my second tattoo
