Berman Skin Institute Medical & Cosmetic Dermatology

My husband had skin cancer removed here. They were supposed to have the results back in a week to confirm they got it all. He has been calling and calling for results. It has been three weeks and still no one will call him back with results. We physically went into the clinic yesterday and there was sign saying they are now closed on Monday. We called again today and someone in India answered. After 10 mins on hold they come back saying the office is not answering and he will have to leave another message. We are now filling a report with the state board. Do not use this office.

I originally came to Berman for a crusty spot on my scalp and got an overall check up where a melanoma on my arm was found and biopsied. Since then, I am on a three months regular visit schedule. Everyone there is very professional and I am no longer wondering about the health of my skin.

The clinician and assistants are knowledgeable, efficient and kind at this facility. I feel comfortable with my care and will continue to use their services for my skin check ups. I feel comfortable asking questions and never feel rushed.

Staff was helpful and courteous. The doctor was complete professional. Explained everything and the procedure was done somewhat quickly almost painless. Great occurence.

First, I want to say how horrible the answering service is. Why would a local doctor use an out-of-country answering service? Beyond me…. Second, I received no appt confirmation. I did however receive a link via text to log in to my patient portal and when I tried, I received a message saying no patient portal exists. Furthermore, they will not discuss pricing over the phone, which is odd this day in age for someone providing skin services. Do BETTER disappointed all around.

Seems good so far. Dr. Was in for about 2 mins and it cost us 200 bucks ..but he is helping my teenage son w his acne so should be good!

I was amazed at how quickly I was treated...the same day I showed them the issue with a squamous cell growth on my hand, they took time to excise the growth & send it out for analysis!

Excellent facility. Friendly staff. Very short waiting in the waiting room and in the exam room. The Dr. explained what he thought the issue was and gave me treatment options.Once I chose one, he did the procedure right there. He used appropriate numbing to eliminate discomfort, and explained the follow up very well.

This is the first time that i have used this medical facility. I found it to be a very nice environment. The staff was very nice and friendly and Dr. Rick was great…he even gave a call back the next day on my blood test to…wasnt’ expecting that but i appreciate this. Definitely would recommend this to anyone that needs advice and direction.

I feel as though Berman could do a more thorough skin examination. It’s certainly okay to ask me what my skin concerns are, but I would like to see the use of the magnifying visor while examining.

What an absolutely wonderful experience. I made an appointment for a consultation. I walk in the door and I’m greeted by two lovely young women, very friendly. I had the pleasure of seeing Dr Christan. He was fabulous and honest, and I appreciate that very much. First impressions are everything and they really made a great first impression!

The friendly staff at the Placerville Berman skin institute explained all the skin issues that I have and answered my questions.

Ive been to Berman Skin Institute for 2 annual skin exams so far. Both times have been good. I got a thorough exam both times and learned about my skin. I have had extra questions and they helped me to understand what was going on. I had to have some things removed. They were as gentle as possible.

Went in and they provided me with everything I asked for and more.

Dr. Jonathan Rick is phenomenal. Very caring and takes his time even for follow up discussions over the phone when necessary.I’ve rarely seen this level of patience and follow up care

The yong woman at the front desk checking me in was very rude. The Dr was visit was quick and informative. But I was very put off by the girl at the front desk.

Everything went very well. I was greeted when I walked in and taken back into the examination room immediately. The doctor came in and introduced himself. I was given a thorough exam. I come back in 6 months. Checkout was easy. I didnt feel rushed and all my questions were answered.

Jonathan Rick is a great doctor. Thoughtful, listens, knowledgeable about the stages of each stage of aging along with the applicable skin issues, and is current on today’s theories and treatments. We’ll keep going back.

Unhelpful, offered suggestions and promoted products without any effective action for skin cysts. Sure they are happy to make money off of people with aging skin but dont expect any knowledgeable medical advice.

Wish my doctor had provided me with some info as to what my skin issue is and how to treat or avoid it. Instead she just burned it off, and that was it. Also tried to get an idea of what Medicare would be billed so I could figure out what I was going to be charged for my 20% and the receptionist just danced around my question. Not a great experience.

I’m a Male, Kendall and her assistant were very professional, while examining me from head to toe ( full body scan )she answered my questions about my sensitive parts and let me know about what she found that my doctor wouldn’t do and I will look forward to working with them again, Everyone there was very friendly and helpful

When we arrived was rushed to see the doctor that wasn’t too talkative. Apparently was not the right patient. Had to go to the other end for the right doctor. Efficient but probably should have asked my name.

I had a torn earlobe. They got me in super fast today was the day 11-20-23. I can’t wait to see it fixed

After paying my $70 copay, God knows what they charged my insurance, she looked me over quickly with her eyes (came in for a cancer/sun damage screening) then said all good, come back in a year. Like what did I just get charged for?? My husband could have done that. Ridiculous. Please warn people that you are simply going to look them over for 2 minutes before you charge them. I have kids, thanks for wasting what to me is a good amount of money.

I went in for a consultation. The office was clean, the staff was helpful and pleasant. The Dr. was nice and honest. In a world lacking in ethics The Bergman Skin Institute is a place where you can feel at ease and know you won’t be taken advantage of. I will gladly recommend them to anyone searching for a dermatologist or looking to have a cosmetic procedure.

Called for new patient appointment and got next day appointment. When arrived front office very nice and caring. Dr Park came in to see me with very little wait. Dr Park was very caring and showed concern to my issues.Felt very confident with my treatment.

After going to numerous other dermatologists for years this was the only place that brought relief and helped my quality of life. Tammy bent over backwards to help with the financial aspect of receiving my medication. Overall I love this place and the staff.

There was a mix-up in the location of my appointment. I was disappointed that it was scheduled at another facility. The receptionist just fit me in anyway so that I could be seen. That was amazing. The exam and information given were very helpful and staff is wonderful.

My wife and I both had our annual skin checks with Talitha Katches this month and felt she was very caring and thoughtful. She took a biopsy of a small mole I thought nothing of. The results said it could develop into melanoma so it will be surgically removed by her on Friday. I am very happy that she noticed this early in its development.

Dr Katches was extremely helpful and understood my issues. She explained what I need to be doing for maximum benefits where others didn’t. As a result I have a better understanding of what I need to do.

I scheduled an appointment for a consult, and there was no payment necessary to book the appointment (unlike other places). I got there only expecting a consult and I ended up getting treatment done same day! I was battling for such a long time to find a place that would take care of my angioma, and I can say Dr. Thrombley made my trip from Sacramento to Placerville SO WORTH IT! I cant recommend them enough! If I have anything other dermatology related issues, for sure Im coming to see them. And I never did catch the wonder nurse/assistants (Im sorry if that is not her working title) name that helped with my appointment today, but she was absolutely the most sweetest person and I super appreciate her! Ive been a healthcare provider for 35 years. I took my father for a surgical procedure by Dr. Danielle Moul. She and her staff were incredibly thorough, competent, understanding, and efficient. I would highly recommend her for any dermatologic surgical procedure.

They are so good and considerate and respectful. They take great care of me. I wouldnt go anywhere else. These people are hands-down the best.

Friendly. Professional. Efficient use of time without making you feel rushed. Annual skin mapping is very important to avoid life threatening skin cancers. Take care of your skin health by having this annual evacuation.

12/05/19 - I’m a 71 YO female. Regular skin review by Dr Lily Park. She is so very awesome. She looked me in the eyes, spoke to me, she told me everything that she was going to do. Gave me 2 options of treatment for actinic keratosis. Thank you Dr Park and BSI.

My semi annual whole body inspection was completed very professionally by Catherine MIllett PA. This is the third time she has performed this procedure, and I have total confidence in her ability to discriminate the bad stuff from the OK stuff.

So friendly and understanding. They really have compassion for their patients.

Widespread laser damage (such as premature aging and disfiguring of lips) occurred to my face when I sought treatment for an acne spot at Advanced Cosmetic Surgery and Dermatology in Stateline, NV. They consequently referred me to a cosmetic surgeon. I asked Dr. Eric Smith, working in California a good distance from me, if he could help with facial changes and was told that he would look at my before-and-after laser photos (which the Stateline office never took as promised). Dr. Smith refused to take a look at the photos when I met with him and seemed very defensive. He stated in my record that I weighed 133 pounds although I’ve never weighed that much in my entire life and no one in his office even weighed me. Still, he wrote that changing my weight “could alleviate the majority of [my] concerns” with the pronounced facial changes, which was not and has not been the case, however. He said the laser is safe but could provide no specific research. Medical malpractice cover-ups and protection of unqualified and unethical people along with protection of money-making procedures continue.

Avoid! My husband had MOES surgery. Dirty! They make you go wait in the waiting room with sick people while cutting out cancer, very small office, working on multiple people at the same time, over 6 hours in office, no snacks, coffee, Kleenex, water was empty, extremely unsanitary! Also never removing all the skin cancer and had to repeat the entire process 8 months later cost was over 3,500. We only went there because our old Dr retired and Berman Skin moved in.
