Ivan did such a wonderful job bringing the inspiration for my tattoo to life. He took great care with the design and the color choices, and his process was very thorough, from beginning to end. It came out so beautiful, and the color are so vibrant. It has healed just as well. He is great with communication, and the shop is easily accessible, incredibly clean, and cozy. My husband got a tattoo from Ivan that was gorgeous so when I wanted to honor my cat who passed I knew who I wanted to do the work. Ivan was so kind and talented. I can’t say enough great things about Ivan as an artist, and even more as a person. Over past 3 years or so we’ve worked together to bring this sleeve to life. He clearly puts out top notch work, but on also really has a great understanding on how to design a tattoo from a client’s idea that will work best for their anatomy. Ivan was amazing from the first message that was sent. I have been looking for the right artist to do my dads memorial tattoo for years, and no one seemed right. He worked with me to design the perfect tattoo.His color work is amazing. It pops almost like its a color painting. After getting tattoos for the last 8 years, Ivan has definitely been one of the most caring and respectful artists Ive ever met. I only go to him for tattoos now and have even had my mom and a few close friends visit him for their own tattoos. I cant speak more highly about his character and the way he treats his guests.

I have been getting tattooed by Ivan since 2016. His attention to detail makes his works so remarkable. He is the rare tattooist who does great work in many styles because he’s a really incredible artist. I saw him a few weeks ago in his new shop and he created an amazing forearm sleeve for me. His design was more beautiful than I could have ever dreamed of and he executed it perfectly. But the really amazing part is that someone so talented who has won so many awards is so collaborative and gentle and kind. Ivan cares about his clients and their satisfaction. He ensures your comfort throughout the process and is so thorough in aftercare instructions (which have changed a lot since my first sitting with him!). I highly recommend Ivan for a tattoo you’ll be thrilled to wear forever!

I’ve gotten 2 pieces by Ivan so far, & there aren’t enough words to describe how truly talented he is. I get nothing but compliments on his work everywhere I go. He’s also such a kind & genuine soul, it really is such an awesome experience getting tattooed by him. I could not be happier with my tattoo, Ivan, or my experience at the shop as a whole. Ivan was able to take my idea and create a work of art far exceeding any expectations I could have possibly had. The atmosphere of the shop is extremely clean, private, quiet, and calm. Ivan goes through every part of the process with you, from design to stencil to each layer of the tattoo wrapping and healing. I am super grateful to display his art on my body for the rest of my life.

Ivan is amazing.He did my first ever tattoo at his last shop and I just got another from him this week at Atelier!It’s not a cheap tattoo parlor, you can’t just walk in and you’ll probably need to wait a bit for an appointment but any tattoo you get from Ivan will be well worth it!

There are tattoo studios, and then there are artists. Ivan is an absolute artist. All my negative experiences with Tattoo studios in the US, gone. This is pure art, my first sleeve which took 9+ hours of work and he talked me through each and every aspect of it. He is humble, down to Earth, and sees his craft as his spiritual calling. You wont find a better artist or human being this side of the planet. I keep looking at my arm in awe, a simple idea I gave him, and he created the Sistine Chapel on me. This man is pure gold. Super lucky to have found this tattoo shop. Ivan is both talented and kind. A lot of the shops in the Monmouth County area are classic tattoo shops, with skull/bones and Harley Davidson guy style artists, so this is a new kinda place that the area def needed.

This place is amazing! It’s private, by appointment only, and also beautiful inside. Ivan the owner and the artist is exceptional! Ivan is a true master of his craft. Having gotten 4 completely different styles over 8 years working with him, he continues to astound with his creativity and attention to detail.Working with Ivan is a wonderful collaborative process where each time Id start with a concept and some references and then he creates a true piece of art that is better than what I had originally imagined. All tattoos are by appointment only and you dont get to see the final design until the day of being tattooed, where we then make any final tweaks, if needed. Ivan truly puts his all into the design and goes above and beyond to do the reference research to make it a one-of-a-kind design specifically for you.Atelier I Gallery is a great space that is comfortable, clean, and modern. His many (well-deserved) awards adorn the shelves in the waiting area and set behind is the work area that is kept pristine.Theres a great amount of trust needed to let an artist come up with and apply a permanent design for your body, but Ivans proven track record in terms of design, placement, color theory, and technical skill assures me Im in the right hands.Cant wait for my next one

If I could give Ivan and his shop 10 stars, I would. I cannot say enough good things here. This is how everyone’s tattoo experience should be. The shop itself is immaculate and modern, yet still has a comfortable and relaxing vibe. Make no mistake, this is not your average tattoo parlour. There are no books of tattoos to choose from, nor designs to pick off the wall. Sessions are by appointment only. As the name suggests, this is an art gallery and you are there to have art placed on your body. Ivan is an insanely good artist, just look up his work. He has a very deep background in art and tattooing. I particularly loved how Ivan is very detail oriented. I sent him an idea I had for a tattoo with some images but no clue how I could put it together. Ivan did his research into the characters and story, and the image he presented on the day of my session did not disappoint. It was even better than I had hoped! Ivan spent time talking to me about how he came up with the design, how he thinks the elements best fit a certain way and color scheme, and then presented his ideas on placement and size. The whole process was fantastic, and he was very open to any input I had. Ultimately, I just trusted his judgement on most things and I am glad I did. Ivan is super friendly and easy to get along with, which is good because you will likely be there a long time. He was happy to talk, but also totally fine to just concentrate on his work in silence. I didn’t feel any pressure to do either one which made me relaxed. Sometimes we talked, but for a lot of it I just did my own thing while he worked. This was my first session in this gallery with Ivan and I have already booked another for September to finish my arm. Going forward, if possible I will get all my tattoos with Ivan. If you’re reading this, you should too.Edited to add more photos. 2nd visit was every bit as good. Do yourself a favor, if youre looking for a high quality custom tat, this is the place.

I had a great experience getting tattooed by Ivan at Atelier. Ivan totally understood what I was going for and was very thoughtful and detailed and honestly gave me something more beautiful than I ever pictured. I LOVE the tattoo so much (Ill add photos once its healed). Atelier itself was a lovely, clean, welcoming studio and I 1000% recommend and plan to return :)
