Got my daith pierced here and it was a great experience. Everything was super clean and the piercing was super smooth. Its been 24 hours and I cant even feel it anymore so that is awesome. Piercer (John) was amazing and easy to work with. Would 100% revisit for an additional piercing. Im also looking at the portfolios and would be super excited to get a tattoo done here as well!!Edited to add that I got some Vulcan calligraphy done by John today! Freshly inked and happy!

John is absolutely amazing at what he does! He makes you feel like family and very professional. His shop is always clean and his prices are the best. I always recommend people here because I know everyone I send to him will have nothing less than an amazing experience and awesome work done by him.

Walked in on a Sunday with a sketch drawn. I got a very reasonable price instantly as well as how long it would take. 45 minutes later paperwork, prep and ink I had my first tattoo.Awesome line work/replication. The quality of the tattoo is very good. Comfortable atmosphere that is very clean and importantly, well lit.Id recommend consulting them when looking for a talented crew with professional tools and a clean parlor for a reasonable price.

Empire Tattoo is the best, Ive been doing business with Larrry for over 15 years.He always takes his time and makes sure youre happy and comfortable with the design and placement. His line work is unmatched! I wouldnt go anywhere else.

I was recommended by a couple people. Stopped in today and was greated by John. I told them I wanted a belly button piercing. I filled out the paperwork and provided the necessary identification. John took me back and it took about five minutes to do the piercing. I would like to say I am completely satisfied with the professionalism and customer service that I have received from this establishment! Highly recommend them. I will be returning for a tattoo soon.

John was great. The pricing was very reasonable. I went with my sister, it was a first tattoo for both of us. John helped us decide on size and placement, told us what to expect during the tattoo, and gave great after care instructions. He was a calming presence when we were a bit nervous. Id totally recommend this shop and John.

He was awesome I brought in a doodle that my son drew! And he did it perfect exact same as my son. He was so nice and took me as a walk in first tat Ive had done in a long time that I can say Im 1000% satisfied with. DONT SEE MYSELF GOING ANYWHERE ELSE NOW.

I have had tattoos by a few different artists but now I wont go anywhere else. Larry has done ten of my tattoos and they are amazing. He has an eye for detail and cares about what his clients want. He makes sure that the design and detail are exactly what as desired. John has done several of my piercings and all have turned out well. The prices are also very reasonable. I highly recommend this shop.

Love love LOVE these guys! They were super awesome. John was fantastic, quick, and super kind. I have a bad fear of needles and he walked me through all the steps and kept me calm the whole time. 4 of us were in and out fast and it was affordable. 10/10 would recommend!!!

This place was all around great! I did a walk in for a nipple piercing after I called to see if they had availability the same day. I went in and everyone was super professional and nice. There was a private room for some that might feel uncomfortable. The man who did my piercing was very kind. Made my experience rather quick (which was nice for this area), asked me if I needed anything, if I felt dizzy, and reminded me to take my time if light headed. The pricing was unbeatable and it’s been about 2 months and the healing has been fantastic! Absolutely no problems!Would HIGHLY recommend this place and will be back again for my next impulse piercing, LOL.

I just had my tat done today,First tattoo. It was on my bucket list.John was the artist. He was professional and personable. The parlor was clean and filled with 80s items. Reservations and fear went out of the window when he started on my tat. 20 years of experience as a tat artist, showed in the quality of the tattoo and the ease in which it was done.If you want a tattoo, this is the place you need to go!!!

My experience here was nothing but phenomenal. I got my first tattoo here over the summer and i had a great experience. john did a great job at getting exactly what i wanted. i was in and out in 30 minutes and payed a reasonable price! i will never go anywhere else!

This place is cool. Chill, awesome environment. Lots of comic and horror movie related artwork and action figures all over, and they usually have something cool playing on the TV (last time my friend and I went, Chucky was on). Ive been to Empire twice so far, and have had tattoos and piercings from John with great luck. Both he and Larry are awesome, easy-going guys and know what theyre doing. Its a small but clean and professional place. They take walk-ins and typically do $13 tattoo specials on Friday the 13th. My stuff has all healed (and is healing) extremely well. I recommend coming here for tattoos and/or piercings. Personally, Ive gotten John each time, and so have two of my close friends. Steady hand, easy pressure.

Id give it a 10 if I could! Honestly, the best experience Ive had at a tattoo parlor! They were so chill and laid back, and when Larry was drawing my tattoo up before hand, he came and asked me numerous questions to make sure he got the drawing JUST right. And let me tell you, the ink I now have on my body is the absolute best out of them all. It was the worstt 3 hours of pain in my life, but well worth every single minute!!! I love it and I will not be going anywhere else for future ink!! Larry Shelby is my go to guy from now on!

Best tattoo shop in Michigan!! These guys do great work at an affordable cost and go out of their way to make sure the customer is happy and the tattoo looks the way they wanted. The main artist, Larry is the man and one of the best artist I have ever seen. They also have a large selection of jewelry thats cheaper to buy than at the mall.

Larry is my go to guy for all my ink and who I always refer people to for any tattoo or piercing desires. Hes done several of my tattoos, ranging from a very detailed portrait to a tiny intricate caterpillar in a weird spot. Hes very personable and talented.

My experience at Empire Tattoo was amazing. I was really impressed with the shop (amazing decor and extremely clean) and the workers. They are all very nice and professional. This place is great. Friendly staff. Clean environment. Before I left after getting my piercing, they made sure I knew how to take care of my piercing. Will definitely be back and highly recommend them.

I gave 2 starts instead of one because the piercer was nice. However, I feel that I was given bad information. I was told I could change my nose piercing jewelry after 2 weeks. I was also told that my nose piercing needed to be moved up from where an old nose piercing was. I now have a huge bump from scar tissue and it looks hideous. I cleaned my piercing everyday using the solution I was advised to purchase. I now know that 2 weeks was not long enough to wait to change the ring and now it appears both piercing have somehow merged and grown huge hideous scar tissue.

Got a nostril piercing done here. The guy was good with the needle, Ill give him that. However, when I went to change out the annoying corkscrew stud that the end of which kept jutting out of my nose w a simple ring, that same guy sold me a lame little semi ring because their jewelry selection is pretty lame. This ring was NOT what I wanted, cost me $10.00, and the guy was too lazy to help me with it citing his, fat fingers, that made him helping me, so he claimed, impossible. The additional ATM fee he told me I wouldnt be charged screwed up my checking account for a week. To top it off, he charged me $10.00 for this piece of junk gold painted ring that fell out numerous times just as he assured me it would not. We had a good laugh about this crappy experience over at ETERNAL PIERCING in Livonia as the fine professionals there helped me make an educated choice from a large selection of fine QUALITY jewlry that the guy there happily fitted me with. Never again will I go anywhere else. Just go to Eternal for your piercings.

Went in for my first tattoo. Cross on my chest. Painful area but a basic cheap cross. First issue is the cross was off center. I wanted it right down the middle of heart.second, I paid $80 for it. For a cheap basic cross, other shops, artist, and even my tattoo artist friend who lives in another state said $40 max for it after I got it done. Third, the tattoo wasnt done enough to look good after it healed.

Empire Tattoo Studio is very clean, inviting and creative. I worked with John, who took what I wanted and added his own artistic touch to it; which is exactly what I wanted. My 6th tattoo but my first in Redford; Ill be back to Empire, in the future.

Ive had a cover up done over the top of a hosed Tattoo. They came up with a great design, and matched the old tattoo up line work and all. Great cover up and great clean professional staff and facilities.
