Homeward Tattoo and Body Piercing

Came here back in late July for a naval piercing and it has healed wonderfully! I have had no issues at all and getting it pierced was almost painless. They had great professionalism, explained everything well, and got it done very quickly.

My daughters and I just got our ears pierced at Homeward Tattoo! Amazing experience! Great selection of jewelry! Exceptional service! This was our second visit and we highly recommend them! Jess is a highly experienced and professional piercing goddess!

I came here to get a septum piercing. Jess pierced my nose and did a great job! She made me feel super comfortable and helped me understand what she was going to be doing. I also really liked the aesthetic of the place. I love my piercing, and will definitely be back if I want another!!

Went there today and Jess did a nose piercing and ear cartilage piercing, I had some questions and she was super sweet and answered them all. She explain everything just like if it was herself getting them done. They place is super clean and they have lots of jewelry, and was able to get me in quickly!

This is by far the best tattoo shop I have ever attended very clean very professional amazing owners Ed is by far one of the most purest genuine kind hearted person I have ever come across if I could give more than 5 stars I would I was desperate for a tattoo cover up and he was able to fit me right in and exceeded my expectations when it came to my tattoo since then I have been back there multiple times along with family members and had a few pieces done I’mNow getting ready to work on piece #7 done by Ed I will not go anywhere else! If you looking for a friendly welcoming environment with an amazing artist I can’t imagine anyone else but Ed being your guy!! A million times over I will always refer them to anyone who ask! Jessica is bold, knowledgeable and professional! I came in needing help with my noise piercing that a different shop did. It was bad so bad and i was in pain. Jessica calmed my nervousness, walk me through her every step. Remove the piercing and was able to replace the jewelry with the right size. She didn’t have to fix another shop’s work but I appreciate that she did. Definitely recommend her for any piercing

Ed was amazing! Emailed Thursday got us an appointment right away for Saturday! He was ready for us when we arrived, no breaks in between doing 2 tattoos on 2 people! The work he did was just what we wanted! 10/10 will definitely make the 4 hour drive for another tattoo from him!!

Walked in to get my mom a tattoo. Danny helped us right away, he was very helpful and professional! 10/10 would recommend!

The piercer there is AMAZING. I originally wanted a forward helix piercing, but when she looked at my ears (theyre really small) she told me she can do it, but it wouldnt heal correctly. I appreciate her honesty, it would have sucked to waste the money. I got a conch instead (her idea) and I am so glad I took her suggestion! She was great at doing it and told me she put an eating a little bigger than what I needed in case it swelled. Its only been 3 weeks and I have no pain or redness. She was great!

My daughter (8) and I had ear lobe piercings done 2 weeks ago by Jess and the healing process has been perfect. My daughter had her ears pierced twice before (not by this business) and both times failed. I chatted with Jess requesting her professional opinion on doing my daughter’s ears for a 3rd time before proceeding and she was very open and honest. I will travel to Jess for any piercings in the future. Highly recommend!

I love this shop. The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. The artist are very friendly. I watched mine sterilize the entire area before starting. Open new packages. My line work turned out amazing. I drive all the way out from Baltimore to come here and am never disappointed.

Got a cartilage piercing here in may. The woman was awesome and accommodated (called at 11, told her I couldn’t be there til 3, and she still fit me in) last minute. She was very friendly and gave good advice to “baby” the piercing and told me how to care for it. It healed quickly (much better than other cartilage piercings I’ve gotten elsewhere) and has stayed healthy.

Would not recommend this place Got a tattoo done by Ed two years ago and my tattoo is fading already. When I called to say something because its two letters that are fading they cant even do anything for me just telling me to pay $100 to get it touched up. Just go next-door they do free touchups. I was told a couple months ago when I got a tattoo that touchups were free, so are you calling me a liar? Because you dont know information that was told to me you have a great day dont be mad that people shouldnt be coming to you because all you care about is money not your customers. So you charge someone half the price of the tattoo to get it touched up. Ludacris Another reason why people shouldnt go get tattooed from you guys

I waited decades to get my first tattoo. there are so many things to consider, like size, style, color and artist. After talking with Ed Bell I gave him my ideas. His designs were better than I imagined they could be. He did half sleeves on each arm. Each one in one sitting of around 6 hours. He gave me appropriate breaks and did a phenomenal job! His shop is clean and the atmosphere positive. I could not be more satisfied! I would confidently use his services again.

I got my nose pierced after literally decades of consideration and I do not regret it. Jess was absolutely wonderful and took amazing care of me. The piercing was painless and she worked with me to find the right position on my nose. Can’t recommend enough and will be back!

I love this place, i came for an industrial piercing this morning. Jess was the person who pierced my ear. they walked me through the whole process and the piercing didnt hurt a bit, i didnt even feel the needle go in. she kept a good conversation and gave great advice for how to take care of it for aftercare. also gave me and my friend a lollipop afterwards :) this place was great i would DEFINITELY recommend. really friendly place, im coming back next year for my right industrial.

I got my second tattoo done here by the wonderful Janine. Her work speaks for itself. While researching Delaware tattoo artists, I found her work and loved every single tattoo that she did. She was so kind and professional the day of getting my tattoo. I cannot recommend her enough! As for the shop itself, I also highly recommend going here for a tattoo or even a piercing. Everyone who was there was so friendly and welcoming. The environment was very chill while also being clean & sterile. This is a great place to go to and I can’t wait to get my third tattoo done by Janine someday!

On vacation wanted to get my 14 year old a piercing, called them told them her age and they said they could do it. We get there and they tell me I need a birth certificate or notarized document because we are out of state. Its their job to inform their customers of that information when someone calls in for a minors piercing and inform their customers before they arrive for the piercing so they come prepared instead of wasting peoples time. Not professional at all. I dont recommend this place.

I highly recommend here for piercing and tattoos. I first started going here as a tag along for my girlfriend’s tattoo. Then I decided to get my tongue pierced and Jess was great. She was quick and it’s healed perfect. Since then Janine has done three beautiful tattoos and one redo of another artists work. If you need a good tattoo artist I highly recommend Janine. She’s nice to talk with and listens to what you want. The pretty colors you see right after you get the tattoo last and I get so many compliments from them :)

I have taken both my kids there for their first piercings. Both of them had a terrific experience, and excellent healing. They did a great job working with them to feel comfortable. As a parent I appreciate having a place to take my children to teach them the proper way to get a piercing. 👍

Do NOT pass this studio up when considering your next piece. Theyve got an extremely high rating for a reason - I can attest to it. I’m from out of state so I was taking a chance on this place and it was such a fabulous experience. Jess was so friendly and professional and I’m a little sad that I live so far away, otherwise I’d be going back for all my piercings! I can’t recommend this place highly enough. I loved this place! I went for my first tattoo along with some friends from out of state and they were able to squeeze us in so we could all get something small. My friends and I truly enjoyed the experience! Tabitha was so friendly and Ben was extremely easy to work with. I definitely recommend this place to anyone! Walked in and was greeted by Jess. My daughter wanted a piercing and she gave us details of expectations and how the process would work. The shop is clean and the atmosphere welcoming. We’ll definitely be back.

I had called regarding a piercing for myself and for my daughter After my initial conversation, I was able to locate the information that was needed for my daughter to get pierced. I called back and left a message. (Which was what I was told to do). I never received a call back.24 hours after my call (2 hours after opening), I received a call back. She apologized for not being able to get back to me (which I appreciated), and explained that she was very busy. I explained to her that we were headed back home (out of state) and we wouldn’t be able to come in for an appointment.That is when I realized the reason she was calling…. Not to apologize and try to make an appointment. It was because my daughter left a 1 star review of her shop. Really??So, she’s so busy that she cannot return a phone call to schedule an appointment, but has time to call me to complain about my daughters review. She’s so busy, but she can take the time to type a response to that review. (And… I did have what she needed to get pierced as per our original conversation). She’s so busy… but I know she’ll type a response to this review as well. Maybe I’ll even get another phone call. Who knowsEdited… (In response to the owner)I am not an unreasonable person. I understand that you are busy. That was not the issue. My issue was your unprofessional phone call today to discuss my daughters review.And to speak on your comment about honestly.. you should be honest. This instance was not over a multi-day period. It was one day. It was actually 20 minutes between our conversation and my phone call (message) to you explaining I had what I needed and wanted to make an appointment.

We 1st came to get a tattoo March of 2021 on a vacation whim. And couldn’t be happier with those tattoos my wife got a beautiful tiger shark and I got an amazing sea turtle both of them have gotten so many compliments on including from other tattoo artists. So when we decided to come here for our vacation this year of course we booked appointments for both of us again and we are over joyed with our tattoos this year we will be back again.

Jess did a great job with my piercing! I was really nervous but she calmed me down and was just so nice. My friend and I went in together and we were in and out in 20 mins tops. Welcoming and efficient.

My friends and I went in for three small tattoos and had a wonderful experience! Janine did all of ours and she was fabulous! She was knowledgeable and made sure that we were comfortable with what we were getting. Definitely would come back!

My husband got a pretty extensive, expensive piece on their thigh. Maybe a bit on the over priced side, but it did take a bit of time. Tattooer was “ 12 commandments being chiseled into stone” heavy handed. My hubby has 30 other tats but this is the 1st one where lidocaine was used, just to be able to finish it. 🚩 🚩 🚩 Was told to use nothing but Lucerne on the tattoo. 🚩 It got infected and most of the color on 1 side of it will be unsalvageable. It’s bad and quite jacked. They were prescribed antibiotics. Once the inflammation goes down, if another artist wants to touch it up, free of charge, I can delete this review or alter it and add some stars. Staff was nice and gnarly, no issues there.And to clarify, I did not wait 3 weeks to write this review, it was completed the following day. It took 3 weeks for a response.Also you’re not responsible for how a tattoo is treated, based on your artists recommendation? Um 🤔. Again, to clarify, it won’t be their 1st and it won’t be their last tattoo. It will be their last from here though. Please vet your “artists”.

Ive been pierced once by Jess and tattooed 3 times, once by Ben and twice by Janine, at this shop. Their work is Every experience Ive had is stellar. Friendly people, relaxed atmosphere. I wont go anywhere else. I highly recommend this shop for both piercings and tattoos!

My daughter and I had tattoos done in each others handwriting to celebrate her 18th birthday. She also had a cartilage piercing done. Everyone at the shop is friendly and professional. Been coming here for years to get tattoos and would never go anywhere else. Ed is always accommodating and has done amazing work. I would recommend Rico. He is a great tattoo artist and seemed like a nice guy. I was very nervous about getting a tattoo on the top of my foot. It turned out amazing and I love it, however, I tried to reach out to him about another tattoo we discussed while I was there after I got back from vacation and he was not really responding. He just blew me off and never answered my question of how much it would be or anything. Not sure why. Guess my business wasnt appreciated and not wanted again.

Decided to get my first tattoo done recently, and one of their artists, Janine, was very helpful in informing me of the process and deciding on a direction. Great price for incredible work, and some very good people. Great atmosphere and immaculately clean as well. Theyll have my business as long as theyre in business.

My wife and I go to Rehoboth every year for our Anniversary, and have made a tradition of each getting a tattoo done by Ed at Homeward. I have an endless list of nice things to say, but Ill try and keep it short. Unlike the grungy, seedy shops most of us who get tattoos are used to, Homeward is a clean, family run operation that makes you feel so welcome. As far as the tattoo process, Ed moves insanely fast but diligently, finishing large pieces in half the time you would expect. Hes a creative artist and the prices are literally unbelievable. I will never go to anyone else again.

I was very pleased with the results. The people were accommodating and friendly. They gave us exactly what we wanted and were very helpful with questions. They gave us lollipops after the tattoo to help with rising our sugars. We only got a small tattoo but they didnt make it feel like it was any less important. Overall both me and my friend were very very pleased with the service.

Staff rocked at Homeward Tattoo! Very inviting and helpful. This was my 1st tattoo so the nerves were there but the staff was so helpful the whole experience barely fazed me. I go to Homeward to see Janine, and the work she does is incredible. People stop me all the time to either compliment my pieces or take photos of them! My first experience with her I wanted a Frida Kahlo tattoo, and knew I liked minimalist tattoos, but didnt exactly know what I wanted. Just based on that information she drew up my dream tattoo. I have two other large pieces by her, one of my favorites now being a cover up of an awful tattoo I had from another shop. You cant even tell there is anything under there. Overall, she is a lovely human being, fun to talk to, and insanely talented.

I had a great experience here. I went in to get an industrial piercing but the piercer was very knowledgeable and navigated me away from it because of my glasses. Everyone made me feel very comfortable and all of my questions were answered efficiently. I would definitely recommend but I think an appointment is recommended.
