R & D Tattooing

Came all the way from France to get tattooed by Akira and was not disappointed. These guys are true artists. Even got a couple by Carina before i left. Super cool as well. will be back 🫡

It was a great experience visiting R&D Tattooing.I personally have been within the tattoo world and community my whole life, with that being said it’s made very apparent immediately that if you are a tattoo enthusiast - this is THE place for you.As soon as you walk into R&D you sense a taste of tradition. Everyone here is talented although today my experience was with Rich Fie. I recommend his services and this location for all your tattooing needs!!Thanks for the fun experience.

I was there on May 06, 2023 with my best friend. We both got another tattoo. Carina did it. Carina is great. She did our other tattoo in July, 2022.Everyone is friendly and made us feel welcome. Thank you Carina for the great job :-)

Been coming here for years.. Lots of people I know come to these guys.. If your looking for old school tattoo art these are your dudes.. Everyone there is super awesome and cool to talk to.. Highly recommend!!

I went to R&D tattoos with my best friend to get matching tattoos. The place was clean and fun and everyone was very friendly. Our tattoo artist was Carina, she was amazing, super friendly, personable helped work out the design we wanted, made adjustments, gave advice on where to place the tattoo and she was fast! Had the design placed on my arm, inked it perfectly and worked her magic! I love my tattoo! Carina was great, I highly recommend her!!

Go here if you know what’s good for you. You can’t go wrong with any of the artists. Don’t sleep on the crew here. There are a lot of great shops and artists in NYC, but it’s tough for me to go elsewhere. The best in Queens, NYC, NY, tri-state, etc. Keep up the good work!!!

The one star rating reflects only SHANNON who is employed here. Unfortunately I never got a chance to come to this shop because Shannon scammed me out of a deposit left with her at a previous shop. My emails and phone calls to her went unanswered for over 3 months! I’d finally get an email response from her and then she’d dodge me and never confirm a time or date for the appointment I was trying to make. Not sure why she doesn’t have a desire for work, especially when I’ve tipped her extremely generously at prior sessions? She seemed like a nice enough girl, but this is unprofessional, shameful, and frankly shady. Think twice if you’re considering having Shannon tattoo you. You can’t take a client’s money, ignore them for months, and then expect them to still trust you to finish the piece only AFTER you finally responded to me because I kept leaving messages for you at the shop with the (owner? boss?). Why would anyone want to continue to get tattooed by an artist they have to hound for months on end to get a hold of? You’ve failed to provide services to me with the deposit left. I’ll now have to take the appropriate measures to recoup.

I recently lost my dad and wanted to honor him with a new tattoo. I couldnt have gotten a more compassionate and professional artist. Shannon was really sweet. She understood this would be quite emotional and made me feel comfortable. I absolutely love my new tattoo and I am so happy I took her advice of adding a bit more color to it. Im sure my dad loves it as well. 🙏

I got tattooed here by Shan (@needlesiren), they’re super nice, professional and have a really great portfolio of nyc traditional style tattoos with their own unique perspective on it that’s super sick. Shop staff are friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth the trip out to Queens if you like good tats!!

Rich was as authentic as they come. Staff was aces. Rich, gave me and my boys some classic NYC traditional tattoos. Highly recommend anyone to gett tatted at R&D!!!

The ONLY place I’ll get my tattoos. We’ve been coming here since 1997. The nicest most professional guys you’d ever want to meet. They make you feel like family from day one! Now my daughters are coming here as well. Wish I could give it more than 5 stars.

R&D Tattoo and the Artists themselves are the realest and nicest guys around. If you live in the area--you already know its the ONLY place to go, if you dont live around here I would suggest you check any of the guys out if you want Quality, beautiful pieces of art that you will most certainly be happy with. The best part is that they are straight shooters, with the knowledge of what works and what does not (like most hand tattoos). My personal artist is Stevie, I have a great sleeve of tattoos that mean a great deal to me, and with some of his great personal ideas I can proudly show them and strongly recommend him to anyone who needs a quality tattoo.

Came here to have one of my tattoos fixed up and finished by Richie. I originally had the work done at another shop but they butchered it. So I came to R&D to have it redone and it was the best move I ever made! I should have came here from the start.My tattoo is on the right side of my ribs... not the best area to get tattooed btw. But Richie made sure that I was comfortable and was willing to stop whenever I needed a break.As soon as you walk in you feel welcome and at home. EVERYONE here is professional and want the best for their clients. I recommend this shop to anyone who is looking to get ink done and I will be coming back in the future.

Love this place got 99% of my tattoos there and the 1% from a sister shop with a artist who works there also all of the artist are great. I would recommend Shan she is amazing great person amazing personality and amazing Artist she has done most of mine and I love her.

Had the absolute pleasure of being by rich, dave and mikey. In my opinion this is how every tattoo studio should feel. As soon as you enter youre made feel appreciated and respected. Great artists and guys. I travel from the uk once and year and will always get tattooed here.

Great guys, great artist, always a good time when I go and always been great gentlemen to me. If your problem is with an artist take it up with that artist. Dont bad mouth the entire shop. Im a proud R&D customer and always will be.

Some of the realest ones left in NYC! I personally have gotten tattoos from Rich and Carina and would gladly get a tattoo from any artist at R&D. Professional, traditional, and true-blue. 10/10!

R&D is hands down the most bomb shop in NYC. With plethora of raw talent to pick from, youre always gonna leave with a showstopper piece.
