Kingfisher Collective Tattooing & Piercing

My son and I went for tattoos together and Kingfisher did not disappoint!! I am SO happy with my tattoo and my sons tattoo is amazing! Thank you to Jennifer and Kate, our amazing tattoo ARTISTS.

I went there as a walk in and Kate was my artist. She did an amazing job and the entire staff was friendly and laughing with their clients. A wonderful atmosphere and a great shop. I’ll be returning for sure.

This year for Mothers Day my wife Sarah wanted matching tattoos of our horoscope symbols. I had a great experience with Jen D! She made scheduling very easy, very affordable, great work, and a positive attitude. All around I had a very nice experience and will be coming back

Cant speak highly enough about this shop. It is clean and inviting, with every member of staff taking the time to be kind and courteous when they see you.After working with Gretchen, I cant say Ill be looking to go anywhere else for a looong time. She finished my flower garter belt over the past 10 months or so and was so kind and patient and helpful throughout the entire process. I never felt caught off guard by her rates or the length of time the project would take. She even noted my availability so that I could be seen sooner when a cancelation came up.💜💜💜

The overall vibe here is awesome. When Im waiting to get a tattoo it feels like Im chilling at a friends house. And of course theyre great artists! Maris is exceptional, has done a couple for me, as well as for 4 other people I know, all impressive work. Shes very precise and a pleasure to work with! Only other artist Ive seen in action is Chris, and hes also great and fun. I hear the other folks in the collective are all good as well. Pay this place a visit!

I got my first tattoo done here by Kendra and it was amazing. The whole process was explained to me and things were taken one step at a time since it was a new experience for me. Great service and great job!

Jen is my girl. Everyone is super sweet and nice. I have been thru alot lately and they havent ever made me feel like a total crazy person and jen.. well she has helped me so much the last 6 months and I still have like 6 more tats to go

Staff was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. They explained the process the whole way through on my friends piercing. Great prices and great atmosphere! Their work looked exceptional and think I found the place to do my first tattoo. Highly recommend this small local business!!

Absolutely LOVE this studio and the artists here! They’re so kind and skilled in their work and will patiently work with you whether it’s your first, second, or hundredth tattoo. I’ve also seen Jen for multiple piercings and she really knows her stuff! I’ve never had a problem with any one of them and I’ll never go anywhere else!

I have gone twice with my nieces for different ear piercings. Jen F. is super friendly, makes you feel very comfortable, none judgmental. Would definitely recommend!

Jen did a helix piercing for me and she was so nice and distracting (I hate needles)! It was pretty painless and she was very helpful when reviewing the after care!

Saw Jen for nipple piercings, they are healing fabulously, she was knowledgeable, non judgmental, & answered all of my questions!I had gotten them done 2+ years prior to at a different shop, ended up having to take those ones out because even at a year mark they never fully healed (may have been pierced too deep).I was nervous to get them re-pierced because they did not heal initially, Jen took me through the whole process, made me feel comfortable. I am so grateful for her and love the piercings, thank you!

Took my 16 y/o for piercings 2x so far and they are awesome! Personable, efficient, good prices and very clean. Set both kiddo and me at ease with explanations of everything and how to care for things. Kiddo had great experience both times and should she want additional piercings or, potentially, tattoos much later on, I would feel comfortable with her going here.

Not my usual shop but I had a piercing mishap which required immediate attention and everyone was so nice and willing to help :’) Jen and her apprentice took great care of me, cleaned me up and got me set up with new jewelry. Very hygienic, thorough and gentle. I’ve never been pierced or tattooed here but will in the near future! 🥰

OMG this place is awesome. I saw Jen for a piercing...very informative and she took great care to place it exactly where I wanted it and use the earring I wanted, explaining why not to use others, care of the piecing, and when/where to get more earrings when I am able to change the piercing earring out. She was wonderful. Great sense of humor and told me to call her or come back if I have any questions...Best choice I made was to book at Kingfisher with Jen. Ill recommend to friends and, who knows, maybe be back for another piercing...youre never too old!

I brought my young daughter in last week to get her ears pierced and the piercer, Jen, was very calming and reassuring. My daughter was a little nervous and Jen let her take as much time as she needed to feel comfortable.The atmosphere is very welcoming and the waiting area has coffee and tons of art books.

I love going to Kingfisher. I highly recommend. Wonderful customer service and experience. Piercing and tattooing all of them great at what they do. Stop in check them out, this art is by Jen.

Kingfisher Tattoo is the best in the area and has the coolest and nicest employees. Everyone is super genuine and friendly + very talented and skillful. The shop is kept totally clean and the staff works intimately with clients to create unique and beautiful pieces. Jen does awesome piercings and the prices are super reasonable. Overall great atmosphere and a fun place while maintaining professional and sanitary measures. This shop it the bees knees, totally recommend Kingfisher to everyone- first timers or tattoo veterans! I always enjoy my time in here and adore the work I’ve had done so far, shout-out my boy Chris for running this dope place.

I got my ear lobes pierced for the first time today 11/20. I made the appointment today and am more than satisfied with the result. I’ve wanted my ears pierced since I remember and Jen did a wonderful job of doing so. She was so professional and made me feel not only at home, but also calmed my nerves and anxiety leading up to it. Will definitely be back for either another piercing or a tattoo and highly recommend!

I really do love this place! It is a very clean and well kept shop. Today I was getting tattooed by Jen who did an amazing job! Her line work is amazing. I cant wait to go back to get the rest done. Ill post a photo when it is fully done. Im definitely going to be coming back for more tattoos in the future!

Great experience getting my first tattoo. The atmosphere was so comfortable and Chris was super cool. Everything was very clean and professional, definitely would go back.

Went in to see Jen and she was great! This was the least painful tattoo experience Ive had so far and she made sure I was comfortable and shes so great to talk with! Everything was clean (and she cleaned everything after I got up) and she was really quick. I will definitely be coming back!

Kendra tattooed my forearm, and it is stunning. She took the time needed before inking to make sure it was exactly what I wanted. She is a phenomenal artist and a genuine person. I’m so happy with my experience! Shop was clean and the other artists were welcoming and warm.

Cute small shop, with a wonderful seating/waiting area..I got my first tattoo here a couple years ago, I was very nervous and waited about an hour while deciding the placement. I was going to plan a second tattoo with the same artist, but instead they mentioned they werent comfortable doing it on me and told me most shops would have kicked me out the first time because I waited so long to get my first tattoo.. I felt uncomfortable and decided not to go back.Her name was Ryan

Came here to get my very first tattoo, and the artist Kendra was patient with me. Explained the whole process, made sure that I could take the pain that came with a tattoo, made sure I was still okay in the middle of the process, and was altogether really kind. I am totally coming back for more tattoos!

I have gone to the same artist at a shop in Glenside for the last few years.Due to our schedules and timing it didnt work out. I looked at a few shops close by me and I found this one. This was the only shop that reached back to me within a few hours. Gretchen reached out to me and she was so sweet. I was a little nervous going to a new shop, from the moment I met her I knew I made a good choice. The entire 1.5 hours I was there we talked about anything and everything. I cant wait to see her again in August for my next. I have found a new shop, and I am in love with my tattoo. The shop was clean, beautifully decorated, and just a comfortable atmosphere.

About two years ago, I got a small tattoo done at Kingfisher Collective. I have gotten it touched up twice now. I have never had a problem with the staff or the company, until my third visit. I do not plan on coming here again. I have never experienced so much disrespect from anyone in the service industry before. Maybe the artist was having a bad day, and I was stuck with the short end of the stick. However, I wanted to rip my hand away from the tattoo gun and walk out. Even as I tried to remain calm, she continued with me. It’s a clean place. I like my tattoo, but I will not be coming back (and judging by her treatment of me, I don’t think she wants me to come back anyway).

I can’t recommend this studio more. I’ve walked into several tattoo studios in and around Phoenixville and West Chester, but Kingfisher stands out. I’m used to feeling a bit intimidated in a tattoo parlor, but the studio felt very welcoming. It’s a great, clean space, with a modern, yet bohemian feel. Kendra did a beautiful job on my thunderbird tattoo. She was patient and took care to ensure it’s placement was perfect. I really admired the overall professionalism and had an awesome experience, especially during a pandemic! Bonus points for the female artist representation. ❤️

I got my nose pierced here back in April by Jen and my experience was amazing! Everyone there was so nice, helpful, and welcoming, and my piercing healed wonderfully!

I came in to the shop as an urgent walk in. I needed my daith piercing removed as it was bleeding and causing me intense pain. The regular piercer wasnt available but one of the tattoo artists was willing to remove it for me! She was so gentle and kind. She did not have to take me at all!! She was in the middle of a tattoo and took the time to help me. She dropped what she was doing to talk me through taking the jewelry out and after care. WOW! This kind of professionalism, service, and just pure kindness is impossible to find. She saved me a ton of pain and grief. THANK YOU!!!!!!

Ive been pierced a few times by Jen. I also received my largest tattoo to date from Gretchen. Several visits, nothing but professionalism. If youre looking for a large and/or detailed tattoo... Gretchen is your woman. Shes a phenomenal artist but even better personality. Ill be back

I got my first tattoo here by Kendra! She is such a talented artist and an excellent job on my arm piece! The whole shop was all clean and everyone was so nice and inviting and wanted to make sure you got exactly what you wanted! I can not wait to come back!!

No scary intimidating factor. The place is intimate, and the artists are all cool. You can chat with them, and you get to talk about what you want.I really can not say enough about how happy I am with my tattoo from Kendra at Kingfisher Studio!

A lot of little things added up to a sour experience. The initial tattoo was ok....but the follow up experience was negative.I had to try 5 or 6 separate times including emails and phone calls/voicemails to get the artist to schedule my touch-up. I tipped 45% on the initial tattoo...so I couldnt figure out what the problem was. I finally get it scheduled and arrived 10 minutes before my appt. I was ignored for a few minutes when I walked in, no biggie. Full house and everyone was busy. Another artist noticed me, asked my name and appt time. Called back to the artist I was scheduled with and said someone is here for you my artist yells back ummmm have them come back?? Initial artist says um its your 6 o clock. At this point, I just turn around and walk out the door. Very embarrassing as everyones watching me be treated less-than. I did decide to come back 10 minutes later and my artist seemed to try and smooth things over with me by making small talk but I wasnt interested. Once we went back to her area, she cleaned the area but NEVER CLEANED MY SKIN. Its a finger tattoo....im sure she was rattled after reflecting on her unprofessional behavior, but forgetting to clean skin is basic. Will not return

Usually I don’t leave reviews but this place exceeded my expectations. Everyone in the shop is super kind. I worked with Chris specifically on a cover up design I thought would be impossible and he made it happen! Highly recommend and can’t wait to get back and finish the design!

Took my 14 year old daughter here for a piercing. They were very welcoming and we felt very comfortable during the entire process. I appreciated the thorough instructions on how to care for the piercing. The environment is super cool too.

This place rocks! Walked in, and got a sweet tattoo. It was me and my friend maura’s first one and we couldn’t be happier. First of all, the tattoo artists were phenomenal and especially my artist, was so nice and she talked throughout the whole process which helped distract the pain away from me. The prices are reasonable and they know what they’re doing!

I got my nipples pierced by Jenn and I could have not asked for a better piercer. She was very kind and answered all the questions I asked. She was fast but careful and I recommend this place for piercings. I wish I gave her a tip. I’ll be coming here for other future piercings and maybe even a tattoo

Jen was the best when my fiancée and I went in for a piercing and tattoo. I wanted an extremely small and simple tattoo (to match a birthmark on my fiancée’s finger) and was almost afraid to offend by asking for such a tiny tattoo. The lengths she went to in matching it exactly blew us away. She clearly has a great deal of pride in what she does and was a very funny person to chat with. If I’m ever going to get a larger piece then I’d absolutely be going back to Kingfisher. Thanks for the great work!!

My little brother Daniel Silvers passed away on 3.2.2021 at 21 years of age from multiple myeloma. Chris and his team were very kind to my whole family. My family members got their tattoos. He had us laughing and joking the whole time. I had a slightly more complicated request because it was hard for me to sum up my brother in one tattoo. Chris was very patient , I told him what I wanted and helped me design the entire tattoo. He really took the time to make sure it was perfect because of the value he knew it had for me. I will never go to another tattoo artist and I will recommend him in the highest reguard. If you want a tattoo him and his team will make it happen. Thank you to them for making this difficult journey a little bit easier even if only for a short while.

Gretchen designed exactly what I envisioned, incorporating a new piece with some existing work. She had a light touch and did excellent work - amazing lines. I could not be happier with the end result. Shop is very clean, mask protocol strictly enforced. A++ Thank you, Gretchen - I will be back again!

I got a cartilage piercing done here about a month ago and I am AMAZED at how well it was done. A few years ago I got a cartilage piercing some place else and it was a horrible healing process... took so many months to stop hurting. This piercing barely hurts and has given me no trouble at all! The process to get it pierced was quick, clean, and easy. I plan on going back very soon to get more piercings done.

I’ve been to Kingfisher 5 times over the past 6 months and can’t wait to go back! Ryan has been amazing and her creativity and energy always manifests into art that I still can’t believe I get to wear every day! I’ve spent several hours in her chair and despite getting poked with needles and wiggling into strange awkward positions I always feel relaxed at at home at Kingfisher! Everyone is awesome and the time just flies by!

Jen did 2 tattoos. They both are really nice and she was so nice!

Chris is truly a very talented artist. Worked on my arm for over 10 hours yesterday to cover up old tattoos. Going back again tomorrow, and Thursday. Im glad I found him. If you are thinking of getting tattoos. Go see him, you wont be disappointed..

Eh experience. Tattoo didn’t come out looking like the picture I gave for reference. Colors faded so quickly and weren’t quite what I asked for and took forever to get first touch up then still waiting for hear back for second touch up after several months still waiting for response.

I got my industrial and daith done here, she started talking and having a conversation with another employee while mid piercing my ears, when it got to my daith she did it fast and careless Ive tried making appointments to get it drained since it got infected but I was told it was no big deal it will wait out I was expiriencing horrible pains and it kept getting worse to the point where it was huge and I drained it myself it was awful when I went in to schedule another appointment I was rudely ignored for 29 minutes I gave up and went home
