Frontier is top notch. I live close by and stalked their page for months before choosing to go to them for piercings and tattoos. This is a long review, but I felt anything shorter wouldnt do them justice.Piercing Experience:I absolutely love Megan. She was friendly, knowledgeable, helped my nerves and let me flip flop on getting my helix done after my nose. Kristie just did a jewelry change for me 7/13 and she is straight up amazing. She was hilarious. She picked my nose for me. Talk about top notch customer service. I hated the jewelry they originally put in my nose because it looks like I had a booger and I was constantly pushing the end of the jewelry back in my nose. I was about 8 weeks healed, but she checked it out to make sure it was safe to change it out. Kristie changed it to a flat back and I couldnt be more happy. The only small complaint I have is the jewelry. I want gold not silver. I would 10/10 recommend getting pierced here though.Tattoo Experience:I started my sleeve on 6/1 with Twitch. Twitchs attention to detail, creativity, chill demeanor and flexibility made him so easy and a joy to work with. He has serious patience as he sat with me for 4 Saturdays in a row. The original idea of my sleeve and what it turned out to be were entirely different. It turned out better than I couldve imagined. He chose several of the pieces such as the mushroom, font, dragon fly etc. Theyre gorgeous and my favorite parts of the sleeve. I wanted zero insects and ended up with 5. Twitch is also very light handed which I appreciated. There were times I couldnt even feel him tattooing me. It was easy to sit still 2-4 hours.I have to shoutout to Thor. Twitch asked him to help on creating the piece about my dog. He looked at my dogs IG and found the picture to create the stencil. He captured my dog in the best way. The original plan was to get the date - but I got my dogs face which was 1000% better than I couldve imagined.Barbara Jean was great. She would put the derm on me usually after the tattoo sessions and it was done well. I healed so easy! She also gave me good recommendation on the healing process and lotions. I have very sensitive skin.And last but certainly not least - Angela! She was always so welcoming when I arrived. She jumped right in to help find pieces and ideas of my sleeve. She has such a sweet demeanor and is absolutely hilarious.Overall, the vibe and product of Frontier is unmatched. It was always a great time to come in and get tattooed or piercings here. While I dont intend to reside in Arizona for much longer, I will recommend Frontier to anyone I know here and come back for new pieces when I visit.

Made an appointment on a Thursday, came in on Sunday. Myself and my daughter in law both got two piercings. ( Conch & rook )Megan was phenomenal!. She put both of us at ease with her friendly laid back demeanor. She was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. She even gave me pointers for my future piercings.Angela who took my appointment who also talked me a second time when I had changed my mind about what piercings I wanted to get. She was sweet & friendly.Everyone who I came in contact with was wonderful. I have anxiety about public places.Here I have no issues at all. Great vibe. I felt at complete ease and I did feel like I was leaving my familys house. Thank you all very much. I will be back for more piercings and maybe even a little ink. 100% would highly recommend

Highly recommend this place for piercings. Super professional and cleanly. I got an eyebrow piercing and my septum done. They were great about checking if I can even get them before and talked to me to distract me. My piercings are also already healed and it’s been a month since I got them! Also very reasonable pricing. $150 for both together

I just got my dermal removed and Kristie was absolutely amazing! It was super fast and only $30 for dermal removal. Im a huge baby when it comes to pain and ill pass out but Kristie was so gentle and sweet and quick, before I knew it she was done with minimal pain! Thank you again!! Great Job Kristie!!!

I love this place. I called yesterday for a help of a change out, and they took me right away. Kristie was super funny and very welcoming. An experience I wont forget haha. And the gal in the front (sorry I didnt get your name) was just a hoot and super nice. The place was clean and answered any questions I had. After the summer I will call for an actual piercing appointment!!!!!!!

Amazing work and top notch customer service with seamless processes!I initially contacted them by instagram to get scheduled info for a small tattoo, within 10 minutes I was scheduled in ready to go! Twitch did an amazing job on my tattoo and I will definitely be back for more work!

I went and got my second tattoo there and what can I say. My tattoo artist was Johnny and he not only gave me the perfect tattoo but perfect experience. If youre looking to have a great time with getting a new tattoo, this is the place to go. Their work place was clean and Johnny made sure to clean as he went and kept the place sterilized.

Ive had amazing work done at this shop and recently took my daughter to get her bellybutton pierced. She had such a great experience and we loved Megan, she was so sweet and made my daughter feel so comfortable. 10/10 for sure

I got my first tattoo here and they were so easy and helpful to work with! I’m about to get my second and third tattoo from here, and I’ve been emailing back and forth with a worker who has been the most helpful to help me figure out everything from pricing, to payment, to setting up my appointment. the facility is clean and well organized. DEFINITELY recommend and will definitely be coming back!

First and foremost, the customer service from every single person at this shop is phenomenal! Youre immediately made to feel welcome as soon as you walk in the door. We made an appointment for a very last minute nose piercing for my teenagers birthday and they were able to accommodate us same day. We were in and out in under 15 minutes! The entire shop was super clean and the whole experience was great! They made this a birthday for her to remember forever! Thanks Frontier Tattoo Company! :)

Went in for a cover up and got Chris as my artist! He not only covered it he made my new tattoo above and beyond what I wanted! Great guy and would definitely recommend him to anyone! Great shop fair prices and amazing customer service!

I made my daughter an appointment a few weeks ago to get her 2nd ear piercing for her birthday today, the appointment process was easy and quick! The shop is immaculate, painless, very professional and reasonably priced! We will definitely be a returning customer! My daughter was smiling while getting her ears pierced it was pretty painless!

I just realized I never rated the shop a five star and I should’ve done this a couple of years ago. I have referred a couple of people to the shop over the years as well, including family… My wife and I have spent countless hours being tattooed by Paul at Frontier Tattoo… We love our artist and our work and I highly recommend the shop to anyone looking to get tatted. I love the fact that they give back to the community with Water drives and toy drives, etc. and we have had nothing but awesome experiences over the last five years of being a client of the shop… My wife and I both have full sleeves for the most part all done at the shop. My wife has been tattooed by Andy and by Paul whereas I’ve only been tattooed by Paul. Again, highly recommend the shop and cannot say enough good things about the cleanliness atmosphere, and the work that the artists do here.

Ive had several tattoos done at Frontier Tattoo and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Quality work, ethics, integrity, creativity and customer service rolled into one awesome package. Paul is my go-to guy for all my work. Barbara Jean provides amazing customer service. This is the only place Ill go.

One of my favorite tattoo shops I’ve been to and my husband and I have been to quite a few all over the country! I’ve had piercings and tattoos done at Frontier and everyone especially the owner is SO incredibly sweet and professional. The artists are great and shop is immaculate! Highly recommend Frontier!

I was tattooed here 3 weeks ago because the shop has great reviews and I’m new in town. I feel like I had a bad experience with the artist they assigned me too. (He doesn’t work there anymore as I’m guessing he was fired shortly after I got my tattoo.) The tattoo clearly looks unfinished and years old. I was told this would take 2 hours or less and it ended up taking over 3 and I was charged $500 but spent $600 with the tip.The artist first off told me he was having a bad day and took 30 minutes to get set up even though I was his first client of the day and I was charged for that time. Our conversation consisted of him venting about the felony charge he was being charged with. At one point he had to stop and check his bag and area to see if he had any edibles… which he forgot to bring and that made him extremely irritated. He had to take a 15 minute break to go vape some marijuana which I was also charged for. Before I felt like he was finished filling in the colours he decided he was done and decided to “touch up” the tattoo I have that’s next to this one because he was irritated it was making his look bad. I’m not happy with the outcome or the fact I spent $600 on a tattoo 3 weeks ago that I will have to go pay someone else to touch up. I was not thrilled with the interaction I had with the artist either. All I can say is that the front desk and the girl who changed my bandage the next day were very nice. I still won’t be going back here again.

My sister Kristie pierced my septum and I love it!Her peer also tattooed the key to hell, and an American traditional rose on my arm.I love the work that comes out of this place. I love you frontier tattoo company!

Had an appointment with a guest artist yesterday to do some touch ups on a specific image. He took it upon himself to alter areas surrounding that image without my consent. Never said a word to me. I have a grayscale wrap around my ankle and he added random color without asking! I am beyond livid! So completely unprofessional and now I am left with this. It just makes me cry. He had no right to alter anything other than what we talked about. I was laying on my side and could not see what he was doing and he said nothing, just did it. I contacted the owner of the shop, but have heard nothing thus far.Update: In response to the reply...I am happy with the bear itself. I did not say the color reminded me of another peice of work I want done. I stated the green reminded me of the place I saw the bear, but apparently my attempts to be gracious and not cause a scene were misinterpreted as being happy with the non-consented alterations he made. Yes, I would very much like for you to work with me on getting the color out of there. Thank you.

Had my 4th tattoo yesterday by my man Paul. This is my ninth tattoo and Paul has done four, the other five times Ive been in the chair are by all different artists and shops. Paul and this shop is my go-to shop by far!Everything about Frontier Tattoo is fantastic, from your first consultation visit to the aftercare of your tattoo! The owner Barbara Jean is great, her shop is extremely clean, professional, and a fun atmosphere! Paul and the rest of the tattoo artists are friendly, professional, and top notch artists!I would highly recommend Frontier Tattoo for any and all your tattoo needs!

Frontier Tattoo Company I want to give a special shout-out to Kristie for her help today with my daith.I came in just to see if I could get her opinion on the piercing because I had a lot of pain.Despite how busy she always is, she was able to squeeze me in to clean both ends of the piercing. As is always the case with her, she went above and beyond and replaced the piercing entirely to give enough room for the swelling to subside.Replacing the piercing was not an easy task for her because of the amount of swelling I’d developed but she was able to get it cleaned up well to find a suitable higher gauge that would allow it to heal before going back to my 16 gauge circle barbell.Huge Thanks to Kristie, to Angela (I think) who helped her out and to Frontier Tattoo.Anyone seeing this, rest assured you can’t go wrong with Frontier; nothing short of incredible. Whether you are getting a tattoo or a piercing, the entire staff is by far the friendliest and most helpful,let alone talented.

If you love yourself and care about getting a good piercing, ask for Kristie. I can not stress how amazing this woman is. Not only is she professional and informative during the process she makes you feel the utmost comfort while doing so. (Side note she’ll call you baby which will solve all mommy issues you’ve been carrying). Me and my friend went to get piercings (bridge & philtrum); during the process every step she took she explained in thorough detail what she was doing and why. I probably learned more in those 30 minutes then in my 14 years of schooling. Again can’t stress, GREAT woman and piercer.

I had both a tattoo and piercings done while we were in town for our vacation. Staff was all super friendly and professional!Kristie was my piercer and she was hands down the best one I have used. She was super friendly, she explained the whole process to me and my piercings were done so well I hardly noticed them. I had this same area done in the past and they were not done to the level that Kristie did. They hurt so badly and for months. It has only been 4 days since Kristie did them and I dont notice them at all! She does not hesitate while doing the piercing. Because of that you get a much better result and yes they are still tender but Im able to do any and all activities without any pain. She even wrote down the size of the jewelry she used and what I should look for once they are healed. I will not go to another piercer again! She is the lady to see!Andy, did my tattoo and he did a great job! She was great to chat with while he was working and it turned out amazing! It is healing well and there isnt any redness!Thank you both for a wonderful experience!

Kristie was absolutely AMAZING! Took my daughter for her first nose piercing last night. She made the experience unforgettable. Great experience for my daughters first piercing. The girl was fast and funny. It makes people relaxed. They also do tattoos... NOTICE THAT THERE IS A NON REFUNDABLE 50 DOLLAR DEPOSIT FOR TATTOOS AND IT IS VISIBLE. We read it and I noticed people rating with less stars because they lost the deposit.I could not take a photo of the front this time so next time I will because the front sign only says Tattoo.

I wanted a Mickey Mouse as a pirate tattoo. Andy did a great job on a great looking Mickey. I still have the bandage on at this point.

I went to this place last year for my 16th birthday as a late birthday present and the service here was outstanding. The place was very clean and very professional. All of the workers were super friendly and they helped me calm down my nerves. I got snakebites as my piercings and they were amazing. I do plan on coming back on December 21st (my bday) to get my lips re-pierced as I did have to take them out in April due to some mental health issues. I HIGHLY recommend that you go to this place, everyone there has a really good vibe and you will enjoy your time there. The prices are very much reasonable for what they are doing in this profession and I do plan to get more piercings done by them in the future. They give you a very thorough aftercare list and if you have any questions at all, they are more than happy to answer them. I had the best time there and will schedule for future appointments. I called same day and they got me in for 4 piercings, from the moment I walked up to the door I felt welcome! Ashley was very comforting and knowledgeable. They were nearly painless. She throughly explained aftercare for each one. After I was again greeted by the gal at the front desk who engaged in conversation and answered all my question about the shop! Highly recommend

Poor customer service. I an now left with scars from both my piercings and tattoo.Im sure the owner will have some awful response, but thats how she is when there is a problem with the work that was done.Response to Barbaras lies stated below -Everything you have said is a complete lie. My children have never had their ears pierced and I would never have them done at your shop. I have not been back several times. I was there three times, once for the messed up piercings that was done by a girl you fired because she messed up many piercings. Once for the scared tattoo and then a 20.00 charitable one. As far as me complaining and whining 🙄, all I did was leave a review and of course you behave totally unprofessional as usual. You should probably stop slandering people. Have a good day. 👍

I got my nose pierced tonight by Kristie. I have never gotten any type of piercing before and she was amazing! She walked me through it, was incredibly kind and understanding, and made me feel comfortable even though I was nervous. I am super glad that I chose this place to get it done. I went here to get my daith pierced. Its one of those piercings that takes a long time to heal. I had Brook as my pierce. She is SO friendly and professional. Brook did an amazing job at making sure that I stayed calm (needles, amirite?) and was OK throughout the whole process. Since I got it pierced, the ball fell off my jewelry and Brook was able to help me with getting a new ball on. I was pleasantly surprised that she remembered me and we chatted as if we were old friends. I would DEFINITELY recommend this tattoo company as everyone I interacted with there was very knowledgeable and kind.

So, this is gonna be a long review because there’s no way I could possibly sum up my experience here in just a few words. First, I will say a little about myself to set up the amazing experience I had here. I’m a 5’ 2 245lb introvert and the only place I ever go is to church or the store once a week. So, I was praying to find a tattoo place that I would feel not so “shy” at because I have ALOT of cover up work I need done! As as Christian, I was hoping for a place I could actually sit through an hour tattoo without all the nasty language and extremely high prices that’s usually associated with tattoo shops.... So, I stopped by this place and within the first two minutes I knew this was the place for me. Everyone I came in contact with was Superior, Professional, Friendly, And Kind! Nothing about this place is offensive to people like me and I just can’t give enough praise to Paul for his amazing personality and his talent is INSANE!!! The store is clean! The staff is friendly, energetic, professional and they all seem to be HAPPY to be at work! The music they play is perfect! I was singing all the songs in my head while I was there! Paul is so amazing I didn’t have one moment of pain! Anybody that can make a tattoo virtually pain free is my kinda artist! So, in my highly recommend opinion I would say this shop is for ALL kinds of people! Even us shy fat introverted folks at a price even poor folks can afford!Thanks Paul!

My daughter wanted her second ear lobe piercings. She received her firsts at the typical place all 12 year olds go to and didnt want to do that again. She had mentioned going to a tattoo company because she heard they do a really good job. I researched for a place and found Frontier Tattoo. Our experience was fantastic! Kristie was wonderful, professional, and caring. She took the time to answer all questions. The piercing experience was so much different than the regular piercing gun. How Kristie did it was much, much better and my daughter is having no issues or pain with her new piercings. I would highly recommend Frontier Tattoo for any piercing needs! :)

Very nice people, they are also very knowledgeable about their art. Got my daughters ears pierced here, shes 6yrs old and did wonderful!!! The picture I took 10 minutes later after we went for donuts but they look beautiful.

I love Frontier Tattoo! Andy did my tattoo work. He is an artistic genius and overall amazing person and will definitely keep you laughing and smiling in conversation. I also got to chat a lot with Craig Naegle, another artist with some serious skill and great to talk to if youre ready for mind bending perspectives and wisdom.The tattoo turned out amazing. In fact, both of my tattoos, both done by Fontier Tattoo, didnt just meet my expectations, they exceeding the best outcome I hoped for in every way. It was like Andy was reading my mind and knew exactly what would exceed my expectations.Pricing at Frontier Tattoo is very good. The final bill has always been less than anticipated.Everyone at Frontier is amazing. I trust them a ton with permanent ink on my body and I love going there!

I loved the staff they are very nice and make you feel welcome and comfortable. I got my nose pierced there it was a good experience. The lady that did my piercing was very nice. She explained everything she was doing. They also have some good prices. They are also very sanitary.

I have been getting all my ink here since just a few weeks after the shop opened in 2014. Paul has been my tattoo artist for each and every tattoo that I have gotten at Frontier. He has done a coverup (which you would never know is a coverup because it was so well done) as well as a whole bunch of original pieces that I now proudly own. Paul is awesome in the way that he treats clients, and always takes into consideration not only whether a design will look good, but that it will also stay looking good over time.Barbara Jean is one of the owners and does a great job of keeping the shop in order and running efficiently. She makes sure to keep the shop incredibly clean and neat at all times. She has some great stories about her puppy adoptions and happily shares photos of each and every rescue dog she has taken in.Kristie is one of the piercers and even though I dont have any piercings done by her, I have seen the way she talks to clients and puts them at ease as well as making sure they are truly ready for a piercing before doing one. She is super friendly and fun to talk to.Andy is another tattoo artist who is more fun to talk to than some standup comedians. He has a great sense of humor, and does great tattoo work. Just look at his portfolio for the proof. He has been a great addition to the shop for the last few years, and I hope he stays for a long time.There are a couple of other artists I am still getting to know, like Craig and Josh, but so far they are very friendly and from their portfolios, they are incredibly talented tattoo artists.I just recently met Brooke and Mia who are both apprenticing, and are super friendly just like the rest of the crew.So having said all of this, Frontier Tattoo is the ONLY shop I go to. My legs are almost done, as Paul has helped me pretty much fill them with ink as far as I am willing to go, but we still have plenty of room to do my arms once my legs are done. So yeah, thats basically it.

Kristie just did my daith piercing. She was super professional and made me feel at ease. She answered all my questions and made the whole experience really comfortable and fun. I definitely recommend Kristie.

This was my first tattoo! I came here on a recommendation for Andy. Everyday I look in the mirror and I am extremely pleased. The artistry blows everybody away that I show. Also, it was a lot of fun just hanging out with the crew. Im already planning my next visit. I highly recommend this place!

I got my nose pierced by Christy, she was great! She was very friendly and helpful. She explained step by step what she was going to do before she started and gave thorough after care instructions and tips on taking care of my piercing. She also gave me helpful info on another piercing I got years ago. I am super happy with my nose piercing and with having gone to Frontier Tattoo Company, Ill definitely return for any further piercings or tattoos I get!

Reasonable price customer service was excellent. Went for daith piercing. Was very nervous when getting there but she explained everything thoroughly and took excellent care of me. Also took the extra time to make me feel comfortable. Would highly recommend.

They are a bit out of the way for me (24 miles!), but worth going to. The shop is very clean and the employees were all very friendly. Kristie did my sisters daith piercings which turned out great :D If I get another piercing Ill def go here.

Awesome place to have work done ! I’ve been there I believe 15 times ! I had a sleeve done by Craig hats off to Craig for pulling offa difficult task because I had existing tattoos he had to blend in! Craig is amazing dude! His passion is tattooing people but his passion is also his family. He is a full time care giver for his mom and only can tattoo on Monday’s! But for me it’s worth the wait! Paul also has done an amazing job on I cover up on my shoulder! And Tony did a nautical star on my calf which is awesome! So there’s only one guy who I didn’t get a tattoo from that’s Andy he might be there secret weapon because they hide him from me he alway off when I’m there! But Andy I will have you do some work!! They all so do piercings but I done like pain 😂

Moved around appointment times, didnt seem like they wanted the business. Couldnt seem to coordinate visits. Craig did my tattoo, love it. He was knowledgeable and helped me design a perfect tattoo. He said too small and will bleed together. Its my late husbands thumb print. I love having him with me always.

Just got our 5 yr olds ears pierced. The piercer did an amazing job making her feel comfortable and excited. Never showed the needle and the 5 year old said it barely hurt at all. Great experience!

My daughter had gotten her ears pierced at the mall. After a week, one swelled up so badly it basically swallowed up the earing in a matter of hours. Kristi had us come in to take a look at it...see if she could help. She was phenomenal with my daughter. She was able to get the earing out and a better fitting one in with very little pain considering and made my daughter and I feel so much better. Im not sure what we would have done without her. I am very grateful for her knowledge and compassion. I didnt realize she pierced lobes for 13 year olds or I would have gone to her originally!

I had ink work done last week. I would love to share my story with you but I must tell you alittle bit about myself. First and foremost I am a Believer and follower of Christ. I’ve been getting ink work done for over 25yrs so over the years I’ve have several artists work on me. Usually when I go into a shop, it’s hard for me to bare the heavy death metal music that is blaring throughout the shop along with employees using such fowl language. I am no saint, far from it in fact, LoL and I have been known to cuss but using GD, MF blah blah blah every other word is alittle much for my liking. Makes me feel REALLY uncomfortable. Which in return makes me NEVER go back to that shop. When I walked in to Frontier I was immediately overcome with peace. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with smiles, friendly employees, great music, super clean shop and an amazing atmosphere! I did not have an appointment but it didn’t matter to the staff. I briefly met with a gentleman by the name of Craig. I was wanting ink work to express my Faith, my Love and my Scottish Roots🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿. When Craig smiled and showed me his very own Scottish Ink my heart leaped with JOY!! He understood what I was wanting and respected it. We sent my appointment up for 2days later. Needless to say I was so excited! LoL When I came for my appointment, once again the staff welcomed me with smiles. I sat down with Craig and immediately realized that he too was a follower of Christ. As he put it... “He’s Down With The Crown!”👑He created a beautiful Celtic cross with a heart in the center of it and he then added my Clan Tartan Colors! It’s gorgeous! He prayed over me and himself before he started working.🙏🏻FANTASTIC! I was blown away. 🤯And touched me beyond measure. HE IS THE MOST AMAZING ARTIST & MAN! I had the pleasure of hearing his testimony and we chatted about Art History! 🎨 So cool! I actually learned a lot from him. God used him and I’m so grateful. Oh and btw, it was pretty much painless! His hands are like butter my friends! So smooth. I will ONLY be going to Frontier to see Craig from here on out! THANK YOU FRONTIER FOR THE GREATEST TATTOO EXPERIENCE! Y’all are simply the BEST! I had to remove my Dermals because of my skin rejecting them and I was nervous, kinda expecting people to be judgemental and when I walked in, The people where friendly and talked to me the entire time. My son, daughter, and I had an idea for a themed set of tattoos. I already had 2, my son had 1. We sent Paul an initial rough drawing, and he did his take on it. We then meet and came up with a final drawing for my son and I, and my daughter took Pauls suggestions and made a new drawing for her own tattoo.My son and I then had our tattoos done. The work Paul did was amazing, his shading techniques made a simple drawing idea pop. And afterwards, hardly any redness, bleeding or seeping. The next day you really couldnt tell it had just been done.I am very pleased a week later with how well it has healed. If I get another tattoo, Frontier Tattoo will get first dibs.

The girl at the front desk is rude. She told me the tattoo I wanted was stupid and she wouldn’t do it and if I wanted a dumb tattoo I could go to good mans ink down the road. She expected me to think her shop was so cool so I left and went down the street and got my tattoo at good mans ink where they where actually pretty cool and gave me want I wanted instead of acting all stuck up. A few years ago I got my septum pierced. I think the dudes name was Seth... he pierced it crooked. I ended up taking it out because after a month it didnt heal.

I DONT EVEN WANT TO GIVE ONE STAR! NEVER GO HERE TO GET PIERCED...EVER!!!!!! unless you like laying there with the needle half way thru YOUR TONGUE FOR 2 AND A HALF MINUTES!!, Such a horrible experience 6 months ago, luckily no permanent damage if there was i would have sued.

Bad place to get a tattoo, they ask for a deposit and if you couldnt make it, they will keep your money, and of course they will NEVER warn you about it. By the way, I didnt mind at the moment, but after this it does and I have to say it, they smoke a lot and youll pay for that smoke time as well.
