My girlfriend and I recently went to rock steady on two occasions to take advantage of their $40 flash sheet. The shop is clean and the artist are great, Mikey did a total of 6 tattoos for us and they all came out Great. She is awesome, makes you feel comfortable and is a really good artist. The vibes are great too you walk in and are welcomed right off the bat and make you feel comfortable. Would definitely recommend them to any of my friends and will be coming back for more.

My all time favorite tattoo shop. I come here for all my tattoos and I absolutely love all of them. Everyone here is amazing and I love coming here not only for the tattoos but the people and the atmosphere. Never have I had a better tattoo experience than I have here! I’ve attached some photos of work my boyfriend and I have had done here :) 100/10!

I went on Sunday to get my first tattoo and the experience was excellent. Tommy pickles did a great job and I will definitely will be going back the piece that I chose is very important to me because my kids are on the spectrum diagnosed with autism and they had the $13 piece and it was just a perfect tattoo for a super great price. I highly recommend this tattoo polish shop. The staff was great and the young lady in the front was extremely nice as well. Also it did not hurt one bit.

My 60+ mother and I went in today to get matching tattoos. The person at the front counter was super sweet and Jack was very patient with us. We were unsure how it work out with her skin being thinner, but Jack did a wonderful job. He really took care of us! 100% recommend!!

All the artists here are very professional and on point. No matter which one u go to u are going to walk away with an amazing peice of art that will last a lifetime! And I also love the fact that they have promotions and specials from time to time which gives everyone a chance to continue u to get work done even between down time of bigger pieces. The place was super dirty. The guy that made my stencil for the tattoo was working on his motorcycle and had black greasy hands he did not wash. They then did not have a place to set my arm so they put my arm on a dirty helmet motorcycle helmet. They did not sanitize or shave the area before tattooing. The lines are super shaky. I received a better tattoo from a friend that was self taught in prison on my couch at home.

I’m very disappointed with how everything turned out. The ink is already fading and the lines are terrible my friend also got a matching tattoo with my on her chest and hers are also fading and uneven so it’s not my skin that’s the issue. The owner was great tho but the work from the female artist was horrid. 10/10 I would never even put this on my worst enemy 🥲

Great staff,artists very laid back and they love what they do and it shows. These were my husband and is Friday 13th specials they are doing all week.

Shaky line work and bad shading will be getting cover ups from another place as soon as it’s healed and then shaded the tattoo without asking first. Unfortunately I just won’t be back here.

I love Rocksteady!! Most my ink is from here and today I got another one, the artist was super friendly, professional, fast, my favorite part was how soft he inked me! Some people can be heavy handed and its hard to sit , I love Rocksteady. Cant say that enough!!!

I have been worked on by roughly 10 artists and I can say with full certainty that Uncle Rob is one of the best in the business! True professional and he actually cares his clients. Thank you to the owner, Jack, for having such high quality staff and providing a relaxing environment. Already looking forward to my next tattoo!

I have been to a lot of tattoo shops in the past, and by far Rocksteady has been my favorite so far. Jack (the owner) was super helpful and worked hard to produce a design I was comfortable with. The shop has a nice atmosphere, and the two tattoos I received from jack were flawless. I was impressed by the art on the walls, and the blend of art and science that went into the execution of my tattoos. Overall, a great experience. 5 stars.

I was recommended to go to this shop by the owners father. I went in to get my first tattoo and when I got there, none of the artists were there and they had friends of the owner watching the shop. My friend and I waited for an hour for an artist to show up. When he finally got there, he got food and spent a long time playing around. He finally listened to what I wanted (roses about the size of the back of my hand) and he said it would cost a couple hundred dollars and haggled with me but eventually agreed to do it for $100. He looked up pictures of the type of tattoo I wanted on Google and spent five minutes messing around with drawing it on a tablet before drawing it directly on me. Again, I wanted it about the size of the back of my hand, and he drew it really big. I agreed to get the tattoo and it I like it the way it is, but I wish it wasnt so big and hastily done. I feel like he didnt really listen to me and just decided to do whatever. The shop was messy and dirty and when the shop owner showed up, I got aggressive vibes from both him and my artist. I came back a month later to get another tattoo and ended up working with the owners girlfriend. She was super nice and understanding and drew out a design that I loved. Overall the first go wasnt worth it but I gave them a second shot and came out pleased. Today I went to get another tattoo and the shop was closed, so I went to New Addiction on 192 and had a great experience there

Went and got a tattoo same day as I called them, Lets get weird. on my inner thigh. Jack took care of me in 5 minutes for 50 bucks whereas every other tattoo parlor in the neighborhood wanted 100+ for 3 words. Came out great and the man is an absolute legend.

Jack did mines and my husband tattoo he has such a soft hand I didn’t even feel it I will be going back to get more. Thank you Jack we will see you soon.

Jackie is one of the smartest and most knowledgable people Ive ever met. He explains every facet of the tattooing process to each client to make sure they are getting exactly what they want, where they want it, and aftercare of the tattoo as well. A great guy with great staff working with him.

Awesome place! This man did me, my sister, and brothers in-laws tattoos when he was shy of closing. We had her 2 toddler kids (they behaved of course just a little fussy from being sleepy) but this man finished our tattoos, all 3 of ours until 2:30 am. He was just amazing! His work is steady, neat, clean. He knows what hes doing people lol great prices as well. :)

This place is awful. I got two tattoos done the same day one faded in less than six months and I had to have it redone at a different place. When I had it redone the guys did not understand why it feels so badly. The next when I got done was completely lopsided. And it’s been two years now and I am saying that enough money to have a do over from a different artist. Every single person I speak to gets a tattoo thereHas some kind a complaint about something. The studio is not clean. Jack is a lovely artist. But besides that the artists are taking the job seriously.

Rocksteady is the only shop I will ever go to. They always listen to my ideas with an open mind, and treat me with the upmost care. Jack’s work is incredibly precise and detailed. I am always happy with my experience there, and recommend them to all of my friends.

Based on all the great reviews, I thought this shop was going to be a great experience, but I was mistaken. My friend and I went there for a flash tattoo sale. When we walked in, the shop smelled like cigarette smoke and it was pretty hot in there. The shop was NOT clean. There were piles of random things tossed on the floor in the back corner of the shop, and it seemed kind of dusty and rundown. There was a massive hole in the ceiling with a leak and a trash can sitting underneath it, despite it being a completely sunny day. I could’ve ignored most of that stuff, but when I watched the artist tattoo my friend, I didn’t see him wipe down the seat, wash his hands, or wipe down the tray where he had all his supplies. I also watched him put on gloves, and then continue to touch his seat, move the tray, put on his glasses, and grab other things which obviously compromised the sterilization of the gloves. There was an open exposed jar of Aquaphor with visible remnants of ink in it, sitting on his tray with the supplies. It had been open the whole time so I can’t imagine how much dust and other particles were in it. There were visible oil stains on the seat from other people laying there and it not being wiped down afterward. I had to ask him to wipe down the seat for me before I sat down for him to place the stencil for my tattoo. When he placed the tattoo I don’t remember him wiping off the area with any alcohol pad or antiseptic. He just rubbed on some ointment with his bare finger and placed the stencil with his bare hands. Not once did I see him go to wash his hands between working on me and my friend. Then, once I said the placement was fine and sat down for him to tattoo it, he put on another pair of gloves, touched more unsterilized things (which once again contaminated the gloves), and then tattooed me. He didn’t give either of us aftercare instructions even though we signed forms saying that he should’ve. (thankfully I’ve been previously tattooed so I already knew how to take care of it), and he didn’t cover our tattoos with any gauze or anything after he finished them. He just rubbed some of the (visibly unsanitary) aquaphor on our tattoos, took the money, and sent us on our way. When I got back home my tattoo was VERY red and inflamed (much more than the normal irritation of a fresh tattoo). As I said before, I’ve been tattooed previously, and I’ve never had a tattoo look that angry before. I cleaned it really well with some antibacterial soap and the redness cleared up immediately, which tells me that there was obviously bacteria present and my tattoo could’ve gotten infected had I not cleaned it right away. Thankfully, my tattoo has healed fine, but I would not go back there. That shop is NOT clean and there was a lack of basic hygienic practices for keeping the setting and the tattoo process clean and hygienic for himself and the clients. Maybe the shop was nice before, but it is NOT nice right now. It looks nothing like the pictures online anymore.

Worst tattoo I ever got came from this tattoo shop I showed them what I wanted and they permanently branded me with a tattoo thats the equivalent of a stick and poke I will never come back they wouldnt even fix the disaster they put on my arm without me paying an additional $200

Jack fit us in super last minute and spent an extra half hour making sure we had the perfect design. It was a tad more expensive than I had anticipated but the tattoo is great, and healing well!

I went to Rocksteady a few days ago with a severe infection left from improper techniques from a previous shop in Tallahassee. The owner Jackie was unbelievably friendly, even though my infection was visibly disgusting. He helped me so much, explained what the other shop did wrong, and gave me the right products to help heal the gnarly infection. He was very knowledgeable and made me feel relaxed even though I’ve been stressing about said infection for a while. I’d 100% recommend Jackie at Rocksteady to anyone, and will be visiting his shop for everything in the future.

Fantastic customer service! Really liked Tony; was quick to get started and was very easy to chat with. The whole team worked together to approve designs and placement- super welcoming place for fantastic prices.

Im not one to leave bad reviews but this place was absolutely unprofessional and unsanitary. The artist constantly took smoke breaks WITHOUT washing his hands after returning to work. And when he was asked to wash his hands to wipe down the chair he was offended. He said the tattoo was one price but charged my card more. The place was dirty, there were children running around and crying despite it was late at night. They were rushing us and the tattoos so now Ill have to pay to have it fixed. The message he sent his boss about our group that went in was insane! I do not recommend this place and honestly if they dont get new staff and the health department they should just be shut down. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY.

I got my septum pierced by the lovely Emily and she did great, perfect placement and the healing process was insane no pain or bleeding afterwards! I got a tattoo by Jackie and two by Robert and they both were awesome!! Great vibes awesome staff!

Love Rock Steady. Jackie does cheap but quality specials and is always a cool dude. His more expensive and extensive work is amazing! True artistry at its finest.

I went to get my third tattoo and showed 4 artists in the shop the tattoo after agreeing to pay$200 for the tattoo and having been convinced they could do a basic outline I let them work on me well they messed the whole tattoo up like really really bad so I went back a week later after it healed to have them fix it but they wanted $100 to fix what THEY did to my arm!!!!!! The biggest regret of my life is going to this tattoo shop FOREAL! Now I have to go somewhere else to have it fixed because why would I pay $100 to have the same people who messed my arm up to try to fix it and most likely screw it up again…no thanks

Please bring cash!! They dont take cards. There are two ATMs within walking distance......I cannot say enough about this shop. Im older and new to the tatoo world. When I called around, many didnt have the time to even talk. These guys not only were nice by phone and encouraged me to come over to come up with ideas, they were even nicer in person. The owner took my design immediately and reworked it to exactly what I wanted. They assigned me to Will, who has a degree in fine arts from the University of Hawaii. His art work off body is amazing. He is extremely talented. Not only that, he is a very personable guy. He made me feel confidant in his work right away and every one there didnt intimidate me or make me feel out of place. The owner even changed the music in the shop to something he thought I might like to listen to. Will took his time and did a phenominal job on my art. He allowed me to work through the emotional time I was having as Im leaving the area for good and its sad. Their prices were extremely reasonable and I will only say dont forget to bring cash ...that is the only reminder....I highly recommend them....

My friends and I went here for my birthday to get matching tattoos cause they were doing a special of all the flash sheets. We originally wanted to get one of the flowers on the sheet and I wanted mine on my hip and my friends wanted theirs on their ribs. We were told it was going to cost more bc it was a ‘private place’, so we basically could only get it on our legs, arms or back. We ended up getting a different tattoo than we originally wanted bc of it. I don’t remember our artists name but he was very rude and unsanitary. I had to watch him and make sure he cleaned everything before he tattooed us and he rushed through it all so now all our tattoos look horrible. And then to find out, a girl I know went there and got one on her ribs for no extra cost at all. So why would it have been extra for us? And we could only pay cash so they also should have said that in the post. Horrible birthday experience and the shop is absolutely FILTHY.

My daughter just recently got a butterfly tattoo done here which was in memory of her sister that passed away. I’m very happy and impressed with the quality of work they do here and it’s affordable. He put so much detail into her butterfly tattoo and we’ll be back to get more work done.

“Uncle rob” was rude to my spouse and I. I thought we had some pretty basic questions. His place was also pretty disheveled. I would never go back. Definitely would recommend going elsewhere.

My sisters & I got sibling tattoos & the tattoo artist (Maddie Smith) did an great job... her lines are amazing. We are very happy with the tattoos!

Been here on multiple occasions and I love it more and more each time ! The guys in the shop constantly joke around with you to make you feel comfortable , it’s a overall amazing experience to get tattooed by these guys ! Plus they have sales and stuff so that’s always good

Ridiculous we sat in the shop for 3 hours, waiting didn’t get spoken too once. More people showed up and they were spoken too and served before us. Floors are filthy and the tattoo artist smoked every 5 minutes. Very unprofessional I have worked in plenty of shops and licensed I’ve seen bad but this is ridiculous.

Got my first tattoo today from the owner of the store it was a great experience i love the tattoo and the owner was very knowledgeable about everything he even explained the meaning of the symbol which made me love it even more will definitely come back in the future!

My tattoo was cheap but i need to get it touched up. The line for my tattoo is very uneven. It’s a Palm tree. Even i could do better. And i can’t even draw good.

Not gonna lie to y’all, didn’t get a tattoo in here, but that’s because I wasn’t comfortable getting a tattoo in a shop that reeked of cigarettes with motor oil, from the motorcycle sitting inside the shop, on the floor.
