Solomons Tattoo Parlour

My teen daughter wanted a nose piercing while on Vacation. We called ahead and scheduled her appointment. They were wonderful even just during the phone call. They made sure I knew exactly what I would need and answered all my questions. Once there they blew me away with their kindness. The store was the cleanest I have ever seen. Aaron was very sweet to my daughter, being patient and caring with her, giving her all the time she needed. I have been in many shops, this was the best I have ever dealt with.

Im originally from the Sault and was visitng family on a small vacation Labor Day weekend. I had messaged this place a couple weeks earlier explaining my timeliness for a 1st tattoo for my son, and he responded back a suggested day and time. I accepted that time slot, adding that we werent quite sure yet what he wants to get tattooed. I got a thumbs up. We arrived and were greeted with, so show me what you have in mind. My son pulled up a picture on his phone of a bird carrying a cross, but we added that it is a little blurry and we were hoping he could make it a little.more defined. The tattooist asked do you even know what kind of bird that is and my son replied he thought it was a raven but wasnt sure, and I said a dove would be nice too. The man seemed frustrated and said he thought we knew what we wanted, and said it was just a fluke that he was even there on a Friday morning, that he is supposed to be home working on his house. Not once did he tell us that in advance, even after I told him we werent exactly sure what he wanted 100%. Just the thumbs up response. The last thing I wanted for my sons 1st experience was being rushed by someone who was being put out and very rude, instead of being welcoming and building excitement for him and calming fears. He then came back with a revised drawing, saying it was going to take a lot longer and time was running out. The revision was a perfect drawing of a bird as if from a coloring book, with a perfect body, perfectly round bird eyes and feathers, with a perfect cross with beads. I could see my sons disappointment instantly as it was the opposite of what he showed him (more abstract( and not even an attempt to make a happy medium of the 2 styles. I asked my son if he would be happy with that and he said, will no, its too perfect, cant you do something in between the two? The reply was not without a lot more time and effort, and at this point Im going to opt out! He didnt even look my son in the eye when he said that. I said to him, clearly you arent happy about helping us as planned, and he Interrupted and said, yeah, Im opting out. I said that was fine and so are we and walked out. I felt so bad for my kiddo. He assured me it was fine as he wasnt comfortable with his attitude from the minute we walked in, let alone the attempted drawings he provided. I would never be comfortable recommending this parlour to anyone for such a permanent and huge decision. We did nothing wrong and have the right to expect a welcoming and exciting experience for a youngsters 1st tattoo. Honesty upfront (regarding the time crunch and how we couldve been better prepared) wouldve really helped. What a huge bummer....

I got a piercing from Aaron and he was amazing. Very kind and accommodating, and the piercing was quick and easy. When I said I felt lightheaded he offered to let me take a break and get me a drink. Super nice to me and the other two people I was with who got pierced. I tried reaching out to get a tattoo a few times but the artists never got back to me.

Homie sold me two helix pieces. Told me he couldn’t put them in because he had appt. Lined up (it would have taken him 5 minutes). My dad lost one trying to put it in in my bathroom, literally gone. It doesn’t make sense, but it’s gone. Guys lazy so thanks for the help.

Went to see the piercer to get new jewelry for my oldest daughter and myself. They were busy but extremely compassionate about the wait. He was knowledgeable,kind, and very patient. Our visit wasnt rushed, and he invested the time we needed to get the correct size and jewelry needed. Will be back for our next piercings. I did not get tattoo work done, but i did see a pair of young ladies leave with beautiful work done!!!! Thank you very much for such a great visit.

Aaron was awesome! Got a nipple piercing and he did a phenomenal job! Took his time to line it up with my other one and took a few tries but he wanted to be sure it looked great. Talked me through the process and got the job done. Would see him again if I had a third nipple.

Cathy was absolutely amazing! So fun to get tattooed With! Ill be coming back soon absolutely! So clean and friendly.

Had an appt there today at 4:30 & I was late due to work and they still got me in to help me change my nose piercing. Aaron was very helpful and did everything he could to help change it even when it wasn’t easy. He remained patient and didn’t let me leave unhappy! Thanks again!

I went into Solomons for an appointment with Dave, to get a head key tat. The tattoo I received exceeded my expectations and he not only was talented but also efficient and had a light touch. Bonus the work is both outstanding and reasonably priced! Ill be going back for all my future ink therapy!

If you’re looking to get some ink done I highly recommend Dave Smith at Solomon’s tattoo parlor. I brought an idea of what I wanted at the meet and in a week he had my idea drew up and even better than I envisioned. He goes above and beyond to make sure your tattoo is perfect down to the finest detail. He is very professional, personable, and the man!

Cathy was amazing! She met with us prior to my daughter and I getting tattoo reviewed the artwork, gave recommendations and executed tattoos that I will cherish. I also have to mention that the shop was awesome, clean, relaxing and we were made very comfortable. I was looking to have another tattoo done here in Florida, but will wait until I travel back to the Michigan, just so I can have Cathy do it.

I took my daughter (13) there to get her ears peirced. Aaron did a great job explaining the processes to her and making her feel comfortable!

I can honestly say that Greg does a beautiful job with his artwork/tattoo and is very professional in the manner he conducts business. I was overly pleased in the manner he treated my son because it was his first tattoo and I firmly believe that Greg went above and beyond to make my son comfortable and at ease with the process. Greg was also very informative and willing to do what he could within his means. Because of my sons positive experience I have intentions on getting some work done by Greg. I look forward in having him to tatt me soon!!!!

Ok so me my mother had recently lost our grandmother so my mom wanted to get a memorial tatoo. But one of the employees there was very unprofessional and made my moms tatoo feel like a burden and when he had messed up my mom politely redirected him. That is when it felt like a burden because he was impatient with her she has paid good money and this tatoo has acualy been somthing she has been wanting for a few years now so we are very upset with the employee and most likely will not visit there again.

I took my 6 year old daughter to get her ears pierced here and they were excellent with her. Clean shop and friendly, knowledgeable staff. I was very appreciative of how they treated my daughter.

Someone I know who is hiv positive got a tattoo here an tattoo artist cathy north told the customer they were going to wear a hazmat suit, an made cruel jokes through the tattoo process. Super rude wouldnt recommend at all

All the staff is friendly and helpful, and their artwork is amazing. Also, the building is very clean and the atmosphere is relaxing. I would go back if I wanted more work done. 😊
