Can’t say enough great things about my experience at Messenger Tattoo with Yogi! From top to bottom the whole experience was excellent. The studio itself was an extremely clean and sanitary environment, and the atmosphere was amazing. Everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming and made my time there a great one. Yogi made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process and gave me a tattoo I am extremely proud to have. His work speaks for itself, the man is truly an artist! I could not be any happier with my tattoo and can’t wait to get back at it to add more to my Star Wars sleeve!

I visited Messenger Tattoo Studio 12/16/23 and could not have had a better experience. The art work coming out of Messenger Studio is simply amazing. By far the best tattoo shop I have ever been to. All of the artists are fantastic, professional, and take cleanliness and sanitation with the utmost importance (which is especially important during the pandemic.) No matter what style of tattoo you are looking for there is an artist at Messenger who will crush it. The artists are extremely friendly and will make sure you are comfortable and happy with your tattoo. The style and décor of the shop is also killer. Yogi did some amazing roses for me. I cant wait to be back soon!

I have been coming here consistently for about a year. I’ve been tattooed by both Nick and Navid. They amazing and make you feel extremely comfortable. I get stopped constantly asking where I get tattooed. The shop is always immaculate. Their work is the best around. Highly recommend.

My Husband and I got a matching tattoo for my Birthday and all I can say about Messenger Tattoo is WOW!! I was able to send ideas and ask questions through their Instagram and they were so helpful with the planning of our tattoo!! The owner was there the night we got our tattoos and he is a super nice guy!! The entire staff was friendly and the place is so clean you could eat off the floor!! Our artist was Navid and was very professional and also a super nice guy!! Our piece was very simple but he did a great job! We both actually ended up going with a different version he had drawn up for us!! If you are wanting a tattoo you should definitely check them out!!!

I will only be going to Messenger from now on. Super friendly, cleanest tattoo shop I’ve ever been too, and the work is top notch.I saw Nick Gardner and he was incredible (as you can see). He was booked until sept but had two cancellations and was able to get me quick and he created my most special piece for my daughter who is due august 4th.10/10 recommend to anyone looking for a tattoo. Navid drew a custom piece based on an idea and crushed it! Hes an amazing artist thats focused on YOU. The shop is clean, friendly and mellow. I have another piece from Sydney and shes also an amazing artist. It feels high-end without feeling pretentious, and they focus on quality art.

I received my first ever tattoo at messenger, and it was an experience i won’t ever forget. In fact, it only made me want to go back and get more! Blake was my artist. When i first walked in, i was nervous. But as soon as I sat in the chair, i was immediately distracted by conversation, and Blake was really patient with me. His work is incredible, and i’ve loved every piece he’s done (three tats of mine so far). I was nervous about my handwriting tattoo. i told blake i wanted it perfect — and it is just that! perfect! I don’t think i’ll be going anywhere else now! Messenger is great, and so are all the employees! you cant go wrong!

Hands down the best tattoo shop in GA! Navid is a seriously awesome guy and does amazing work. He accepts every request Ive thrown at him and is always excited to work on them. I will always send people his way if they are interested in getting any work done!The shop itself is absolutely spotless and modern-looking. The place is bright, and feels very open. There are TVs at every station so clients can watch movies while sitting in the chairs. The choice of snacks up front are a great touch, and make you really feel like they care about earning your business.Everyone working there has an amazing attitude and wants to be as helpful as possible! If you need anything, they wont hesitate to help out if they can. I seriously cannot recommend this business enough for anyone who is interested in getting a tattoo done!

I love this place. Good vibes as soon as you walk in and the artists are amazing ! Navid did a killer job on my tattoo !! Best tattoo shop I’ve been to! Very clean and the artists and staff are all friendly and welcoming. After sitting for 30+ hours in Navid’s chair over the past year, I wouldn’t trust anybody else. His work speaks for itself, but he’s easy to work with, genuine, and caring. I even referred my mom to go to him!

This place is AMAZING! Ive been tattooed by a handful of artists at a handful of studios around the state and this shop by far takes the cake. Here are a few of the big points of my experience.Customer Service = I was tattooed by the owner (Yogi) and he was extremely professional and welcoming, infact all of the employees were. Yogi was super easy to talk to. This was my first time getting tattooed at this shop and they treated me like I had been coming there for years.Cleanliness = Effing sparking. Super clean shop and super clean bathrooms.Communication = Yogi was extremely communicative through the whole process.Snacks/Beverages = Yea thats right. They have like 15 drink options and multiple snack option. At most shops you are lucky to get a bottle of water. You guys should still plan to bring drinks and food, but if you forget they got you covered.This place really is breaking the old stereotype of what a tattoo shop used to be. They extremely customer focused and in my opinion it is a breath of fresh air in an industry that is full of clout chasing artist that act too good to tattoo you. I wish there was 10 stars, so I could give them 11.

I got a tattoo to commemorate the death of my mother, and I can’t tell you how much I appreciated my experience here. Yogi was super cool and respectful, and was willing to answer whatever questions I had (which I had plenty)! The shop is super comfortable, everyone who works there is friendly and helpful, and the tattoo I got is spotless! Thank you guys for making this moment awesome for me.

I had a great experience! It was my very first tattoo for my birthday and Navid did a great job on capturing what I had envisioned what I wanted my tattoo to look like. I will admit I was nervous about the pain level and just the whole experience in general but Navid made me feel very comfortable.Everyone there was very nice and the inside was amazingly decorated and welcoming . Messenger is a fantastic studio. The atmosphere is extremely relaxed and welcoming. Navid is super nice and I really enjoyed working with him. He’s professional and took his time to make sure his work was the best it possibly could be. I had booked an appointment with Yogi not too long ago and I completely fell in love with his shop!It had been about 5 years since I’ve gotten my last tattoo so I was a bit nervous at first but as soon as I walked into the studio I was really taken aback at how awesome the place looked! The walls are covered in these massively beautiful paintings and the whole place was extremely clean and well organized. The girl at the front desk was so sweet and helpful, and she took care of me right away before I met my artist.Yogi was nothing but professional and had such a great genuine and positive attitude, and I learned quickly that all the artists in the shop were a close knit group. Everyone laughed and enjoyed themselves and it felt like being a part of a huge family. It was just all around a really great atmosphere and made me feel really welcomed.The quality of Yogi’s work was also nothing short of amazing. Perfect line work and the colors of everyone of his pieces is extremely vibrant and detailed. It’s well worth the price.If you’re looking for quality work and a great environment to get your tattoos done, I’d definitely recommend Messenger Tattoo. It’s by far the best tattoo shop I’ve ever been to and I can’t wait to get my next tattoo in a few weeks!

I went to see Navid today and I have never felt more comfortable and welcome in a tattoo shop. Everything about the experience/atmosphere was absolutely perfect. The guys there were so friendly and made how amazing my tattoos turned out even better!!

Went in for a spur of the moment tattoo and was extremely pleasantly surprised. The shop is brand new, clean and a very comfortable atmosphere. Loved the big mirrors you could use to look at the placement of your tattoo. Definitely the nicest tattoo shop I’ve ever been in. Navid did a simple cross on my arm and it looks awesome. It was a simple tattoo but that meant there was absolutely no room for error and he killed it. They’re two perfectly straight lines. He was so kind and talked me through everything. I didn’t give him a size so he came out with several options and helped me pick that and placement. The owner is also fabulous. We chatted with him while we waited. Would 100000% recommend this shop and I will absolutely be going back for more.

This is a premier shop from head to toe! Clean, friendly, and as I sat in yogi’s chair getting my tat everyone in that place was putting out high quality stuff! The standard of excellence is high! Can’t say enough about my amazing experience- not enough stars google.

I went for my first session yesterday (1 of 3). Yogi Barrett is currently doing my tattoo. He was so nice, extremely careful, & very clean about his shop. All the other tattoo artists and workers were super funny & nice. They were great when I asked to take a break once. Im really happy I picked this place to get my tattoo because it is large & I know I will be spending a lot of time there! The tattoos are definetly worth the price because they great quality & the tattoo shop is extremely clean & everyone seemed to be in a great mood!

Most amazing tattoo shop I’ve ever been to.. Yogi did the portrait of my mom who passed away and captured her perfectly. I couldn’t be more happy with how it turned out. Went in for my first tattoo. It was a simple wrist piece but I was nervous. My appointment was with Navid who was both very calm and very calming. He patiently helped to nail down the final details. He explained what he was doing at every step of the process. And he gave very clear instructions for aftercare. Add that to the comfort of the waiting area and very visible cleanliness of the shop, and there was really nothing to worry about. I had a great experience with my first tattoo. The product that came through when I got to take the bandage off was exactly what I wanted and I am grateful to Navid and Messenger for providing that.

Nick did an awesome job on my tattoo! It turned out really well he did exactly what I was looking for colors are good everything good! Studio is clean and staff is nice also. Nick cleaned up my back tattoo from a previous artist, did my husbands name and a turtle for me! They all look great! Morgan up front is very nice and helpful as well :)

I’ve been getting tattooed for years and have to say that Messenger is all around tattooing done right!! This shop and any artist you get tattooed by will check off any wish list you may have. I personally had the pleasure of working with Yogi. He is every bit of what makes an awesome artist not to mention top notch boss/owner of this super clean studio. It was my first tattoo and Navid was so professional and calm and chill. He did exactly what I asked for, and was very understanding and checked on me often. The business itself is very nice and well kept. Highly recommend! I’ll be going back again soon.

My mom and I wanted to get coordinating tattoos so we asked around and a friend recommend messenger tattoo. Navid did mine and my mom’s tattoo. It was my first tattoo and my moms second. Both Navid and Margarett were very welcoming and professional. They made sure we were comfortable and helped with my indecisiveness with patience and understanding. 100% recommend and we will be coming back in the future!

This is by far the Best Tattoo Studio in the state of GA, with amazing Artist. They are very professional and friendly. The service is awesome and you can tell they love what they do and aim to make their clients comfortable and happy. I will not go anywhere else for my ink needs. I had Yogi Barrett as my tattoo artist. He was absolutely excellent and he was so considerate. I had been through some trauma and he was really careful about touching me as he tattooed. Sometimes I needed a break from the long sessions, and he was really nice about it. My leg (where I was also getting tattooed) also shakes really bad, and he handled that like a pro (aesthetically the tattoo is perfect). Everyone there was really funny and super kind (tattoo artists and the front person). It was an overall great experience! I cant recommend his place enough to people. This place is also super clean, I can see my reflection in the floor lol. Every artist there has a different style too, so its an amazing place to get pretty much any tattoo- whether its realism, traditional, or mixed mediums.

Yogi worked with me to design a tattoo in honor of my son who was killed almost a year ago. He took extra time to make sure it was exactly what I wanted. His emails prepared me well for the experience, and the shop was super clean. Everyone who sees it is very impressed!

First time in the shop, but I was already familiar with the work of the artists. Shop was clean and overall a cool and stylish shop. Everyone was wearing a mask and I saw all employees using proper hand washing techniques to ensure a clean and safe environment for everyone. My appointment was at 1200 with Yogi and the shop was open on time and Yogi greeted me after getting checked in. After talking for a few minutes and going over our ideas, we were tattooing within 45 mins or so; I’m not really used to this kind of service in the past when getting tattooed. Even though Yogi was my artist, I spoke with all the artists there that day and they all seemed like good guys with their own particular style of tattooing that would be able to meet the needs of someone looking for another tattoo or their first. My tattoo is a cover up, so its a work in progress, but my first session went great and everyone I show the tattoo to, can’t believe how beautiful the work is! Great first experience for me at this shop and I will obviously be going back soon to finish up my coverup and of course, most likely continue the process to finish the sleeve. Anyone looking to add or start a new piece of art should check these guys out and check out this shop! I’m not sure where some of these negative reviews are coming from, because these guys are nothing but professional and my experience was nothing but positive!

Great establishment with great artists. The service is outstanding they do their absolute best to make sure their customers are taken care of. Yogi Barrett did an amazing job on a portrait of my late son Luca. He’s one of the most talented artists I’ve seen and will be doing more of mine in the future. Extremely clean shop, Navid was great and accommodating. I picked out the font I wanted for a memorial for my dad and he did a great job on my foot. Its been 2 weeks and is almost all the way healed.

My daughter and I went to the shop for matching coverups for an existing mother/daughter tattoo. Yogi was incredibly friendly and patient. He worked with us to come up with an idea to hide the existing tattoo, but also was still matching and individual for each of us. His shop was impeccably clean and he is meticulous about keeping everything sterile and clean during the tattoo. His sense of humor made the experience so much fun. He’s a great guy to spend a few hours with as well as an incredibly talented artist. Not only was the coverup incredible on its own, we have now decided to go back to add to it!!!

Navid is AMAZING!!! I went in for a fairly big pice and am extremely impressed by the way it turned out. Navid is so smooth and accurate. He made me feel very comfortable. I found my tattoo artist going forward. Trustworthy, professional, detailed and knowledgeable.

Comfortable waiting area, They made it very pleasant for my wife and I. Both of us were tattoo novices. They were very helpful. Nick did a great job on me and David was great on my wife...that sounds wierd but Im sure it reads fine.If your in the area and need tattoo cant suggest them enough!

I adore this studio. I dont live nearby, but it was worth traveling there from across the country. It is a very beautiful and clean studio, and it doesnt feel overly dark like others. The people there are incredibly friendly and welcoming. There is a lot of space in the waiting area for social distancing and to feel comfortable while you wait.I had an appointment with Yogi for a full day session, and check in was fast and easy.All the artists are very personable, and I was happy to show off my other tattoo when they asked to see it. Haha. Sometimes they came over to check out the progress on mine, and theyd openly chat, which is also a good distraction from being worked on.The studio part where the artists work is an open room and artists are on both sides. This means you dont have people walking by you all the time like more linear studios. I was offered a partition for privacy, and I really appreciated the offer even though I was fine without.Yogi is... so great. Hes friendly, open, a great conversationalist (especially when the appointment ends up being about 11 hours!), and genuinely nice. The process was like any tattoo, but hes talented, and until the very end, there wasnt any part of it I couldnt handle (but that was only from tenderness and tiredness). He matched the placement and size of the design to match my other thigh, and the symmetry is perfect. He adjusted the design to also pull away from the sticker look, which I appreciated, and he adjusted the colors to have them stand out from how dark the original was.I cant speak for the other artists work, but Yogi is definitely among my favorites, and the studio makes for a very comfortable and memorable experience.Ive included the fresh picture taken that night, and the other picture is the tattoo after 2 months.

I gotta thank Navid for this wonderful tattoo. The service was great and had a very friendly atmosphere. Very clean working space and the artist were very hospitable, offering me beverages before getting my tattoo done. Im not the guy to ever leave reviews but, the shop and service I received I just had to share my experience.I have 4 tattoos and this is absolutely the best shop/experience I have ever had or could ever ask for. It completely blew me away. As soon as I walked in I was greeted and made feel very welcome like they were happy to see me and I was part of their group/family. The shop itself is absolutely beautiful and one of the cleanest I’ve ever seen. It really does look like something out of a TV show. You can tell all these guys love what they do and the people they work with, you can feel that as a client and It rubs off on all the people in the room. I instantly felt like I was wanted and they were happy to have me at their shop.I went in to get a Portrait of my daughter, so this was a big deal for me. My artist (yogi) made me feel calm which helped me collect my emotion/ nerves. He was very welcoming. Once he got started it was like having a conversation with an old friend, which made the process and the next 12 hours not seem so bad haha. My tattoo turned out amazing. It’s a beautiful piece of art and I’ve been showing it off with pride since I got it. Most importantly my daughter loves it and that means the world to me.My whole trip/experience is one that I’ll never forget. I’m confident I will never get tattooed anywhere but here. If you’ve read this review all the way through do yourself a favor and make an appointment. It will be the best decision you’ve made when it comes to tattoos. This place is absolutely top notch!!

I had Yogi Barrett in my sights for years. I wanted him to do a Rawhead Rex tattoo. Man he didn’t disappoint. Not only is he awesome, he doesn’t have hammer hands. As soon as I walked into his shop I could tell he put a ton of work into it. Down to the paint color! I was a nurse for 7 years and he doesn’t contaminate his field. The other artists are nice and they all jive well. Front desk girl is obviously the grease on all the gears. I spent about 12 hours there and it was a lovely experience from beginning to end.

Yogi is a fantastic artist! I had waited almost 7 years for some old self harm scars to heal. No other artist wanted to cover them or told me that I would need laser resurfacing. Yogi was willing to take the project on, even though I know it makes the whole process a lot harder. Was down to earth and professional. Made me fell comfortable even though I was still very embarrassed and ashamed of them. This past summer has been the first summer since I was a teenager where I could go outside without long sleeves. Andddd it gave me the courage to finally talk to a parent who didn’t know about my past. I get TONS of compliments on my tattoo and very thankful for that experience 😊 wish nothing but the best to him and his family. Definitely go to this shop if you want a quality tattoo

The artists here are top notch and fantastic at what they do. Spent 11hrs in the chair and enjoyed the fun banter and interactions of everyone that came through. This was my second visit with Jake Lyon. Great experiences! Very talented artist! My wife and I were greeted upon entering, offered refreshments AND reassurance during this ongoing pandemic. We felt comfortable 100% of the time. I forgot my mask and was provided one. The owner made a point to greet us as well. Super clean shop! Great positive atmosphere. Great conversation. Only reason I selected five stars was because six wasn’t available.

This shop is top notch! As a nurse, cleanliness is a priority for me and this shop sets the bar high. I have been tattooed by Blake, David, and Yogi. I would recommend any of them. All 3 made me feel comfortable. Easy to get in contact with for follow up care/questions too!!

After seeing Yogis tattoo from his time at cornerstone I was excited about the chance to hopefully have his work on me, he moved further away and it wasnt in my cards to venture that far away. I saw on Instagram that he was back in his own shop just down the road from me so I checked it out and got in to do some random toy machine pieces with my wife. They were done by two of the artists who work there whos names unfortunately escape me. The vibe was great and lighthearted and the tattooists who worked with us were phenomenal! I will definitely be returning for more work soon!

Blake is an amazing artist and did a great job. If you can get in to see him dont pass it up. If you are looking for first class service, first class ability, and first class facility this is the place. My son got his first piece here and I just got a forearm piece. They are second to none.

I have been wanting to get a portrait of Kurt Cobain done for over a decade, but finding the right person to do it has been truly challenging. I stumbled upon Yogi & Messenger by word of mouth & as soon as I saw his work on Instagram I knew he was the one to do it. His talent in realism art is just jaw dropping! I get compliments on Kurt everyday & the tattoo makes me smile every time I see it. The studio itself is supremely clean, the staff there is super friendly & professional & I personally reccomend these guys any chance I get! Nick is awesome! I traveled over an hour for this last tattoo. This is my fourth piece from him and I refuse to go anywhere else. The shop is so clean and welcoming. He is open to your ideas and is able to bring them to life with his artistic abilities. I couldn’t recommend anyone else!

This is one of the best shops and tattoo experiences I’ve ever had. Yogi is one of the greatest in the business and he consistently turns out amazing art work. He runs a very clean, safe, and welcoming space that I can’t wait to visit again. My visit was during Covid and the shops practices helped assure me that everyone’s safety was most important which I appreciated as a customer.

Had Nick tattoo me a year or two ago. Im just now getting around to writing a review.Im a norse pagan and I wanted to get a dragon named Nidhogg on my upper arm. The main characteristic of Nidhogg is that he chews on the roots of the world tree. Nick did not care and called it gaudy, lame, and corny and left it out. He didnt care that I was doing this for religious reasons. So now it just looks like a generic Dinosaur Head.I never came back for a second session because he charged me 1200 for 8 hours in the chair, and he messed up the lettering of the runes and messed up the lines. Again, he didnt care. He just wanted my money. I would undo my choice if I could. Because now that its a few years later, I still need to find another artist to fix what he did.

Loved it as soon as I walked in! Not only is the studio beautiful, it is very clean. I was greeted by the owner as soon as I walked in and felt like I had known him for years. The artist (Navid) was so nice and took his time. He never made me feel rushed and I could tell he took his work very seriously. I would highly recommend them and I will be back!

If you live in Georgia and you dont go here, youre crazy! If you live out of state seriously consider making the trip! Not only is this shop nicely decorated but is PRISTINE. Its so so so clean. All of the staff are kind and professional. I had an appointment with Yogi and I cant say enough kind things. Every artist that works at that shop is super talented. You will no regret going here! John Barrett is the best young tattooer in the game and I am so happy he’s got his own shop now. He’s always punctual, respectful, clean and above all, supremely talented. I wouldn’t have anyone else tattoo me. 10/10 stars for sure! The work speaks for itself.

I was told by Nick he couldnt fit the wording I showed him when we first talked for my brothers memorial tattoo. After hearing this I wanted to change the tattoo design. I was told that that would forfeit my deposit and lose my appointment and would need to make a new one with a new deposit. Very upset and disappointed but there are plenty of other better tattoo artist out there and I will go to one of them!

This is definitely hands down the dopest group of professional tattoo artists around. I’ve gone there a couple times and received top notch service and they took my ideas and made them even better than I could of imagined. I get all kinds of compliments on my tattoos. I highly recommend!!!

This is just my experience but it looks like others have had the same problem. The artwork looks great theres no need for improvement there but its very difficult to get someone to do your tattoo. Whats the point in having great artwork if you cant do it as often? They say to reach out on Instagram which I have, been in the shop several times and still nothing. I guess they only tattoo the things and people they want to tattoo which basically just forces me to look elsewhere even though my money is the same as everyone elses. Its not like I havnt been considerate or patient either. I reached out first back in October now here it is January and I havnt even gotten a consultation from two of there guys. Its not like I am window shopping either. Either they have more work than they know what to do with or they dont treat all customers the same. Guess this place just wasnt for me. Its disappointing because I read all these great reviews and see some of their artwork and just wish I could have shared in that experience.

I walked in after my friend had been talking to Blake and just picked something off the wall, atmosphere in the shop is super chill and all the artists are very cool, Blake did a fantastic job on the flash i picked off the wall and i cant wait to go back to the shop to just let the artists pick something they wanna do for my artist pick arm and leg, all of the work ive seen come out of here is immaculate and all the artists are super chill and will work with you, highly recommend them to any of my friends that are looking for a really good shop to use!
