Drop of Ink Tattoo

From scheduling my tattoo appointment to getting the tattoo done, Raine has been wonderful to work with. Not only is her work out of this world, she was super sweet and fun as well! 10/10 would recommend and I will be scheduling more appointments with her in the very near future! 🖤🔥Edit: had two more tattoos done by Raine and she knocked it out of the park yet again! Would highly recommend her! On a side note, the shop is always clean, great music, great vibes! All in all a great place to get a tattoo or piercing!

Stopped in at the Shippensburg location for a special Friday the 13 Flash sale and I was very pleased with the design that I chose and the artist that designed my piece is so chill and down to Earth. Plenty of space for each artist to work at their stations and I liked how the environment felt in that shop. Met the owner and he is a really cool person. The event ran smoothly and I am so happy that I stopped in with my daughter and her boyfriend. Thank you Frank for running this special deal and thank you Josh for your amazing talent!

Raine did a memorial tattoo for my babies and 2 sibling tattoos for my husband and husband sister tonight and it was a fantastic experience or our first tattoos! She explained what she was doing before she did it, made sure our designs were exactly how we wanted, continually checked to makexsure we were doing ok and made sure we had an amazing experience! Great environment. My self and both my daughters had our mother/daughter matching tattoos done by Nae. She was absolutely awesome. Everything was clean, sterile. She was amazing explaining everything to my youngest daughter since it was her first tattoo. Prices were very reasonable. We will be back in the near future.

I recently came into drop of ink to get tattooed, my expectations are pretty high with getting tattooed as I’ve only ever gone to the same person since i was 18; (im 27 now). However Raine went above & beyond any expectations i had. She not only does amazing work, but goes out of her way to be professional and create a safe & comfortable environment for her clients (ladies, you know how important that is!) I will without a doubt be returning in the future for more pieces & will be recommending Raine & the shop to friends & family.

5 stars for Josh at Drop Of Ink in Shippensburg. To celebrate turning 60 this month I wanted to get a tattoo. Went to get one yesterday at a tattoo place in Chambersburg; bc I asked to make a couple changes on a design I was told to find another tattoo artist; so I did. I headed to Shippensburg Drop Of Ink and found Josh. He was awesome. Took his time with me; answered my questions; made sure that the tattoo I was getting was exactly what I wanted. He made changes so I could see what it would look like and he worked with me. This was a simple word tattoo “faith” I wanted on my wrist; and it was my first tattoo and bc of him I had a great experience. My friend even got one on the spur of the moment (her first one too). We both had an awesome experience with Josh. Thank you Josh. I love my tattoo!

Got my ears pierced by Raine and I ended up not liking the placement. So I had her removed move it. She said to come back in 6 weeks and she will redo it for half price or even free I was willing to pay half the price I originally paid, plus a tip. She ended up ghosting me and didnt reply to my text. I called the shop multiple times to get a hold of her for nothing. When I finally did get ahold of someone to get my ear pierced they said to just do a walk-in no schedule cuz they were free and both pieces were in Mechanicsburg location. Ended up going to Gorillaz tattoo, paying less money and I love the results.

Really liked my experience. Little pain but expected. The reason I only gave 3 stars because I had a few questions and called 3 times. No return call.

Where to begin about Drop of Ink Tattoo in Shippensburg. I had previously worked with Raine at another shop before she came to Drop of Ink and was thrilled with her work so decided to make an appointment at her new shop. Lo and behold I was blown away by not only the cleanliness and wide open design of the shop but both how professional and friendly the other staff were. During the tattoo one of the other artists came over to see what was being done and you can tell these are people who care about their craft as he offered a polite suggestion here and there. The tattoos I get are deeply personal to me so you’re always afraid of being judged or looked at a certain way when you go to a tattoo shop. Not at Drop of Ink. Aside from Raine’s obvious talent it’s coupled with a willingness to not only create for you but collaborate with you to create not only an incredible piece of body art but an environment that is relaxed and comfortable. I can not say enough good things about both Raine and Drop of Ink 10 out of 10 recommend!!!

I cannot say enough good things about SHIP Drop of Ink! I have seen Keight for my last 3 pieces and will have her tattoo me for as long as it is feasible.Keight, Nate, and Nay are amazing, friendly, talented, creative, and professional. It is very clear that safety and cleanliness are valued in this shop - I have never felt that I would be at risk for any complications as a result of the shop cleanliness.If you are looking for a new shop, please add this one to your list of places you are considering! I love drop of ink! I’ve gotten 3 of my tattoos done there (specifically the Shippensburg location) and all of them look great! My most recent one was a piece of flash art on my arm! It’s a pink swirly heart done by Raine. Definitely one of my favorite pieces ever. Will be back for more!

Had my first tattoo done by Annie (@annieink8). She designed it just the way I wanted and exceeded my expectations with the tattoo itself. She’s very professional with exceptional talent. Very clean and sterile facility. She explained everything clearly and in detail (before, during, & after my tattoo) so I knew what to expect and answered every question I had. I highly recommend her and plan to have her continue designing and doing more tattoos in the future.

I have 2 tattoos from Nate and 2 from Steve and one from Annie. They are all amazing tattoos and they did an amazing job. The atmosphere is very welcoming. They are clean and use sterile needles and they keep everything clean for every tattoo. I highly recommend drop of ink. The picture I included is the tattoo I had done today by Steve Gentile.

I came into the shop this past week and saw Annie. I told her to have fun and do whatever. She did such a fantastic job and was so personable. I love the technique she used. I would definitely recommend her and the shop, it was such a mellow environment.

I recently got a lower back tattoo & an upper arm tattoo at this location. The service was great, the artists here have great communication and a very flexible schedule to find out whats best for you. Keight was the artist who did my tattoos and she did wonderful work while being very reassuring. Ill definitely being going back and i always recommend to anyone who asks!

Ive had three piercings done by Nay and she is very good at walking you through each step! Very clean and very thorough! Ive also recently had a tattoo done by her and she did amazing! She designed it how I wanted it and the tattoo looks amazing! Shes very easy to work with and quick with responses!

My experience with keight at this shop has been nothing but pleasant. i’ve gotten three tattoos by her and each one has been finished quickly, clean lines, and healed super fast with no problems with proper aftercare. she’s extremely friendly and cares about what you are deciding to put on your body and will work with you to achieve your end goal. couldn’t recommend her enough. 10/10.

Naylani is an incredible artist. She listens to what you ask for and then far exceeds your expectations. Her work that she has done for me is on constant display and I get multiple compliments daily. Naylani is currently working on my sleeve which is a tribute to my grandmother who passed. She has done a great job designing my sleeve she is able to improvise on the spot to make your tattoos more vibrant. She has done an amazing job at giving her design dimension and blending the colors of the flowers. She has a natural eye for art and has amazing ideas. She also listens to her clients and is able to help them elaborate and bring their ideas to life. Naylani takes her time and very detail oriented which is appreciated. Keep up the great work!

I went here for my first tattoo. I didnt really know what to expect, or even what to do. Luckily, I got Annie on the phone. I told her I wanted the Supernatural protection tattoo. Annie knew exactly what I was talking about. She was able to take me that day, and made my first tattoo experience awesome! I was relaxed the whole time, and there was barely any pain. Annie is spectacular. Gave me both of my first tattoos and made it very enjoyable and fun. Tattoos look better than anything I have seen. Got a Spartan tattoo that she drew herself. Shop is very nice. Annie is now the only person I will go to for a tattoo.

My wife and I had an appointment yesterday with Annie and I believe all three of us left the session very pleased. As Annie is an apprentice you would never know! We were getting foot tattoos and my wife and I were ready for pain! Barely any pain and Annie made sure we were comfortable the whole time! She is wonderful and will have two forever clients!

I got a piercing here and it was a very comfortable and professional experience. Ronny was great and my piercing healed nicely under his instruction. Knocked off 1 star because I was told I could just walk in without an appointment for a piercing and when I did the piercer wasnt there and I had to make an appointment. They got me in pretty quick though.

Keight was great. She did an awesome job on the memorial paw print tattoos that my husband and I got. Would definitely love to have her do more work for me.

Sweet Glen and Nate are awesome. They are friendly, have a clean shop, and they do great work. There is nothing better than when you can just sit there and relax and chat and before you even know it your done. I will get all my work done here from this point on.

I’m giving them this rating because of one artist. If you have a tattoo you want drawn up and done I would not recommend seeing Dustin. I had an idea that I wanted to get done and he drew up an initial drawing and then after I asked to make a few changes he just stop responding and avoiding my phone calls and emails. I can’t speak for the integrity of the other artists but I would avoid Dustin unless you just want to get something quick and simple. I called half a dozen times and never once did he call back and emailed quite a few times over the span of a month and a half and not once did he respond. Everyone else in this shop in Shippensburg was very friendly and helpful with trying to get him to handle this maturely however nothing changed. So I will take my business to another tattoo shop in the future.

I got my septum pierced by Ronnie. He was so nice and did a great job. I was definitely nervous cause I knew there was gunna be pain but Ronnie was honest and made the experience more laid back and comfortable. Definitely recommend him

I got my midway on my ear & my nose pierced by Naylani. Honestly that girl has angel hands, because none of my piercings have EVER healed so fast. She is so good at her job.

Very friendly! Went in to get my tragus pierced. Filled out the paper and took me back right away. He was very nice as I got a little light headed after the piercing. Told me I could sit there for as long as I needed to. 110% will go back for future piercings.

Had a bunch of great work done by Steve. The artists are all a good bunch of people, friendly, and funny. The shop is very clean and they make you feel comfortable. Great work, highly recommend.

Called in for a cover up and was given an artists cel number to text. We have a brief back and forth about ideas of what I’d like. I assure him I’m open to his recommendation, but he won’t set the appt. I Called the following day to ask again about a consultation appt. He tells me to swing by sometime today and he’d see if he even wanted to do the job….you’d think he would want a 6-8 hour piece.

Keight is very friendly and is very particular to be sure you get the best tattoo when you leave the shop. Overall very happy with my half sleeve.

Owner kept flashing a gun when we were the only ones in the store and absolutely destroyed my girlfriends tattoo. Very uncomfortable and very simple yet ugly tattoo Edit: apparently the guy who was claiming to be the owner was not and he no longer works there, they have reached out to apologize and have mad things right

Worst piercing-related experience of my life. Ive stretched my lobes on my own down to an 8 gauge. I went in and had them stretch my ears down to a 6. The girl who did it was a complete moron. She rammed a huge taper through both my lobes, tearing them up and giving me awful blow-outs. I didnt know how to react, so I paid as quickly as possibly and ran outside. I nearly threw up and passed out. I generally have a pretty high pain tolerance, so thats weird for me. My ears were bleeding everywhere. As soon as I got home I hopped in the shower and worked the plugs out. My stretches are completed ruined now, and I have to start over entirely. Thats assuming they dont get infected. I will never go to Drop of Ink ever again. AWFUL!
