Independent Ink Tattoo

I got my first ever tattoo redone a couple days ago, as I could no longer read it. I gotta admit, I was a little nervous. I’m not a super well seasoned tattoo person, but it didn’t matter. Jerry made the whole process wonderful. He is a very kind, skilled artist. I am so happy to be able to read my tattoo again! I am so grateful to Jerry for his amazing artistry, professionalism, and dedication to his craft. I can’t wait to get my next tattoo done by him!!Thank you Jerry! 🥰

I got a Monroe piercing done elsewhere and had a longer bar put in because of the swelling. But the swelling had gone and I had developed a piercing bump, so I wanted the bar replaced. Jayme took a look, gave me some advice, and saw me about four times throughout our quest for a bar that would fit my full lips without being too long or too short. Amazing service, friendly people. Highly recommend.

I was a walk-in when they first opened and the owner (Jerry) was super kind enough to take me and get my tattoo done.I can’t recommend this place enough after today; I wouldn’t recommend doing a walk in like me, make an appointment because this place has some real talent and passion here,Everyone was patient and friendly. Solid tattoo parlor in a small town, a real hidden gem. Will be back to add more to my Godzilla mural.Thank you again Jerry, you’re a true artist!!

My daughter and her boyfriend got thier first tatts here. Very clean studio very professional tatt artists. Friendly atmosphere. Professional high quality work. Video is my daughters tatt. The pic is her boyfriends tatt. Both healed great w no problem. Very impressed w this shop and its artists.

Great experience! Amanda did an excellent job on my very important tribal Sun. For me this tattoo has so much meaning due to my heritage and my dads life on the island. Amanda made my piece come to light with her lines and shades. Much better than the outline I gave her to go on. Have more I will be added in to this piece and definitely will ask Amanda to be my artist. What was so cool is while sitting in the chair I got to see a few tattoos Jerry did and cant remember the other male tatto artist name but he also does excellent artwork. The place is Immaculate, just so clean so was the bathroom. They are very conscious, disinfecting before and after each tattoo!! My girl got a tattoo and a nose piercing, and again they were Impeccable with cleanliness and disinfecting the piercing tools she actually disinfects them twice even though you only need it once. Very conscientious! I was impressed on so many levels would definitely recommend Independent Ink to anyone!

Independent Ink is a Top-knotch tattoo shop!!! Jerry has a great way about him and his work is high quality! I have gotten 3 tattoos done by him and I’m 110% Happy with what I received!The shop is clean and the rest of the staff there are polite & professional!

I had such a great experience at this shop. My artist was Jonathan Quimby. He’s from Grand Junction, CO but doing a guest spot here. I had an existing tattoo that I wanted to add to but wasn’t sure how to incorporate what I wanted with what I already had. He did such a good job at making the 2 tattoos blend together. He was super friendly and worked with my idea without making me feel like a Karen for my suggestions here and there. Highly recommend the shop and the artist. Thank you so much!

Jerry is a-freaking-mazing. We came to visit my sister in law who also has been tattooed by Jerry. I dont regret it at all!! Jerry fit us in at 8 am on a Saturday morning. Thankfully Mondo (the tattoo he did looked so great, I would let him tattoo me as well) was there to take Jerrys 9 am appointment so my fiance could get a matching tattoo.Jerry made our design in ten mins from a simple picture that I drew up the night before. The 🌵 are for our family. My husband, myself, and our daughter. This will be a yearly trip, a tatto will be scheduled each time. He was so light with the needle and made me feel so comfortable.He made this an amazing experience. You are guaranteed a gorgeous tattoo!! I will never forget our first trip across the country. Thank you guys!!

I NEVER write a review…but here goes! I messaged via the google app early in the AM thinking I had to book an appointment for a later date. They got back to me promptly! I was able to get in SAME DAY within a few hours (staying an hour away and only wanting small tattoo) Once I got there I was greeted by Chris who made me feel very welcome. Over 10 years since my last tattoo and I was nervous! Chris took my anxiety away and made me feel right at home. I am ECSTATIC over my tattoo and the detail. I live in Virginia but, if I ever want another I will fly back here…just for him! Amazing! Thank you Independent Ink and the thank you Chris 💕!!!!

I booked a tattoo with Jerry and paid my deposit then decided to pay it in full prior to the date of my appointment. Due to medical issues I had to cancel and Jerry not only refunded me the amount I paid in full for the tattoo but also the deposit- which was very kind of him. This establishment is very honest and I truly wish I could get tattoos again but I 10/10 recommend Jerry he is a good person and there are not many of those left in this world, especially when it comes to businesses.

Jayme is always amazing to work out appointments with and Jerry is always the most professional when it comes to his work. Hes a perfectionist in the best regard and he always has his attention on the finest details. I will only get tattoos from Jerry because of his excellent professionalism.

This was the best tattoo experience Ive ever had! Chris Alverado was able to completely cover up an old tribal tattoo from ten years ago. I brought him a photo of what I wanted and he made it work. Its healing perfectly and Im no longer ashamed to wear sleeveless shirts. The shop itself was clean and inviting and comfortable. I recommend him and this shop without hesitation!

Independent Ink is the best Tattoo Shop in Silver City New Mexico, my wife and I are in town on vacation and took a chance on getting a appointment with Jerry the owner and one of the best Tattoo Artists in the area.They were booked solid but Jerry went out of his way and came in early to take care of us. His work rocked and we were very appreciative he fit us in. I highly recommend Independent Ink.

Wonderful tattoos only, come out of this place. My artist was professional and gave me exactly what I wanted and his own little twist. Which was even better. I suggest u come here to anyone that loves their INK..

Came in on a Saturday morning when they opened on our back to Albuquerque and Cristopher Alvarado was able to squeeze me in last minute for a quick lil filler spot (Three crosses). Great work and awesome customer service! Will come back here again.

I felt so welcome and at home while visiting the shop to get some piercings done. Jayme was an absolute joy, super professional and put me right as ease with my jittery nervousness. Everything was done efficiently and the whole set up was super clean. A big ol win for me.

Got an industrial piercing here and am very pleased. The staff was very nice and professional. The place was clean and the woman who pierced my ear explained what she was doing as she did it which was nice. Ill definitely come here again for any other piercings I get~

Made an appointment over the phone to come in at 4:30pm. Showed up 10 minutes early, was told the artist were out and not coming back for the day because “it got busy earlier.” Never in my life have I ever experienced a business ran like this where they tell their patrons to come in an hour and a half before they close over the phone to be told in person that they are done for the day at 4:30 when they close at 6pm.

I highly recommend Jerry! He has done many tattoos for me. He has a light touch and all of my pieces have healed beautifully! Thank you Jerry!

Well. let me first start off with this, i couldnt even step foot in the building without some crazy lady cussing me out telling me shes gonna make me clean her building windows for checking if theyre open... the worst part is that crazy lady was the owner. she threatened me, a paying customer to leave the premises just for checking if they were open after she cleaned the windows... terrible service.. very rude.. 0/5 rating from my personal experience.
