Brought my 1 year old daughter here and couldnt be happier with how her ear piercings turned out. Everyone in the shop is so pleasant and it has a great vibe! Everyone was so great with my daughter. My daughter is a mover and they were able to execute the piercings flawlessly. Highly recommend!

I really don’t have words to say but Jimenez is an amazing tattoo artist. I put my trust into my first big tattoo with the shop & the owner made sure he put me with one of the best artist he has. Don’t get me wrong all the other artist are amazing. Jimenez did am amazing job hands down. He left me speechless & throughout the whole process he made sure I was good even with my pain tolerance low he made sure I didn’t feel as much pain. This shop does has amazing customer service and I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to get a tattoo done. I honestly been searching for a tattoo shop for a long time to get my dream tattoo and I’m glad I ran into this shop. You won’t regret it trust me. Jimenez is simply amazing. Took my 5 year old daughter to get her ears pierced. Excellent experience! Very clean, very professional. Love that Malakai uses needles instead of a gun. My daughter barely flinched! He gave us great advice on what to do for the first year. Highly recommend!

I came to this place twice with my friend. Once as a walk in for a tattoo and another time for a nose piercing and I was amazed and extremely satisfied both times. Staff makes you feel comfortable and relaxed throughout your entire service.

I just got back from taking my (nearly) 7 year old daughter to get her ears pierced here. She came very close to changing her mind at the last minute but she did it! The numbing cream is a game changer, she barely even flinched. Malakai did a great job!While we waited for her numbing cream to kick in, I got my 2nd holes redone and they look great!Highly recommend bringing your kids here for their first ear piercings!

I went there today for my second tattoo on my birthday. Andres had done my tattoo and it turned out amazing. He did a Phenomenal job. He doesnt know English too well, but it was still not tough to speak to him. I got a good deal too. But if it wasnt for the support of the team, I wouldve never gotten it. When I walked in, Andres was my tattoo artist. My design was complex, but from 2pm until 5:30pm, they kept me entertained. His partner next to him, gave me water to keep me hydrated and not to think of the pain. I would recommend ANYONE and EVERYONE to visit this tattoo shop. These are the real pros and they give amazing prices. I will be going the next time bringing friends & family along. And if you do go, ask for Andres. Hes the man to go to.

I was having trouble with a snug piercing I previously got, when I never had an issues with my others. I came here to get it downsized since it was getting stuck on my hair and overall hoping to help w the healing process. My piercer, Kai, realized I had a nickel allergy and replaced my bar with a titanium one and the piercing is healing beautifully now. No more bumps or swelling! He also replaced my flat, and I feel it looks beautiful and clean. Overall, the experience was informative and Kai was incredible kind. I will be returning to get further piercings! I have some pictures showing the before and after!!

We took our 6 month baby girl to see Kai and had the best experience ever. He was so friendly and welcoming, definitely eased my anxious mom brain. He put on Disney music and made our baby girl smile. It was quick and easy. We left with beautifully pierced ears, that don’t bother her. I can’t thank Kai enough! I met malakai through marketplace. He was selling a tattoo sign that I needed for my personal tattoo shop. The item was already sold by the time I got to him. However malakai has proven to be super solid and very professional. He sent me so much stuff for my newly opened shop in which would cost a pretty penny. I have not gotten a tattoo by Kai yet. Hopefully I get to it soon.We talk on a damn near everyday occurrence. Ive seen his work. Ive dealt with him in a lot of different levels so far. So I can leave this review on his character and create work ethics.I do not know anyone else at Forever ink yet. Hopefully this will change and be allows me to do a guest spot soon. Took my 4 year old daughter to get her ears pierced for the first time. Malakai was knowledgeable and informative for my wife and I, while making the experience as pleasant as possible for my girl. She wasnt scared and had no pain, thanks to him. He even played kids music during the process which was a really nice touch. I cant recommend him enough!

Malakai helped me in a desperate time of need. Forever Ink was the second shop I visited, I wanted a second opinion on an infected piercing. The first place refused to touch the rook piercing and told me to see a doctor. So decided to try out the spot in my hometown and M showed a lot of passion for the state my piercing was in–due to nothing more than incompetence and maybe malpractice of the other place.Forever Ink’s Malakai brought me into the piercing room and immediately took care of me and told me that he can save it. I was overjoyed to hear this compared to the first opinion place. He gave me a longer rook and one that agreed with my genealogy and I couldn’t me more satisfied with the experience. This spot is misunderstood and a special experience of South Plainfield.Thank you, Malakai!

The tattoo artists are well rounded and can cover virtually any style from their own designs or anything you request. I have sat with Jordan who I have known from my previous shop. He is an awesome artist super funny and makes you feel at ease. Ask for him personally.

Got my earlobes pierced here and it was a quick, painless, fast and easy experience. Very sanitary and nice place, will definitely come back if I ever decide to get anything else done. These guys know what they’re doing. Definitely recommend going here if you need anything.👌🏼👌🏼

We took my daughter here today and the whole experience was really great. Malakai and the gentleman that helped him were really on point . They explained everything to us in detail and numbed the babies ears. After 15 minutes she was ready to get pierced . Not only do they explain everything they show you the clean equipment and consistently change gloves . It took only a few minutes and she was not in any pain . She only cried due to having to be kept still, other than that she was fine. If you’re a new mom doing research I would definitely recommend this place and piercer. It was worth the price to know the babies ears were done correctly and efficiently.

Owner sounds extremely unhinged in several recent posts, especially for a guy that works directly with kids for piercings.I got a tattoo from here about 6 months ago. The owner made it difficult from the beginning and the only good part of the tattoo was the artist that did it. The owner himself made strange remarks about my existing tattoos, wouldnt discuss anything about the tattoo with only the response you just need to come into the shop, I dont know what else to tell you., and in general made it uncomfortable to be around. I also wasnt pleased with their covering process for when the tattoo is done, was messy and disorganized.The artist I got it from was great though! Amazing line work and took his time. Didnt overcharge me or anything. I will definitely go back to the same artist, just not here at Forever Ink.There are so many other shops in the area to get tattoos and piercings done that wont risk making you uncomfortable, definitely check them out!

After much research to have our 4 month daughter ears pierced with a needle. I came across Forever Ink in South Plainfield. Their website is actually very informative by the way. Once I read all the reviews and did more research I reached out to Malakai. As he would be the person doing the piercing. His phone number was on the website under the section child/infant. I spoke with via text, He was great with answering all of my questions and informing me of the steps prior to get her ears pierced. He told us that once we arrived we would need 15 minutes to allow the numbing cream to work. Upon arriving he greeted us again explained everything to us and asked if we had any questions. The customer service and after care from his behalf was absolutely amazing. Im really happy with the outcome and would recommend anyone I know to Malakai.

We took our 6 month old to Malakai to get her ears pierced. It was a great experience overall! Very clean and her ears healed quickly! I was so impressed. I had no issues after with healing. I did lose one of the backings and Malakai had me come back in and replaced it quickly and gave me a few extra at no extra costs. He was extremely responsive and professional and great with my daughter. I highly recommend taking your child there!

Took my 8yr old son to get his ears pierced. Malakai was so welcoming and talked us through every step. He was gentle and quick, my son didn’t even flinch. My son was grinning from ear to ear! It went so smooth my mother in law hopped on the table next and got her cartilage pierced and loved it. Definitely recommend Malakai if your looking to get any piercing.

Today, December 10, my daughter and I got our ears pierced by Malakai. He is an absolutely amazing person. He made this experience for the both of us extremely pleasant. He talked my daughter through the whole process and made her feel so comfortable. I recommend him to everyone.

Tattoo artists here are good people but unfortunately the manager sleeps on the wrong side of the bed daily. I tried calling in for my lost phone , he proceeded to yell at me for 5 mins because he is too slow to wake up at 7:30

Came in late at night with two of my friends and did the gumball machine. It was a great experience, and I was allowed to customize the tattoo I randomly received to give it a little bit more meaning. The artist was very patient and understanding. The prices were great and the tattoos are amazing. If you’re looking to walk in to a tattoo shop and make some memories, this is the place to go!

My daughter just got her naval pierced by Malakai and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience! All of the steps were explained to us and the piercing itself was so quick that she was surprised it was over. The after care instructions were not only explained but demonstrated as well. Poor line work for something very simple and way overpriced for someone who seemed like he didn’t want to do the tattoos anyway.. $100 EACH, I normally would never but I got some time with my sisters this holiday. My sisters first tattoo experience, she was robbed for sure..

I only come to this place to get my nose piercing changed because I really don’t trust anyone besides Malakai! He’ll tell you how it is & that’s something I and everyone should value! The jewelry he uses doesn’t tarnish & has allowed my piercing to be infection free for a few years now. I always recommend this place!!! 10/10 always - thank you!

Called around for my nose piercing, and I decided to go with Forever Ink, they were not the cheapest but they were honest from the get go. Shop is super clean, artists are pretty funny, the 3 minutes I was there waiting I was cracking up. Shop decor is awesome. Kai made me feel comfortable with my piercing, before I knew it I was done, I was stressing for no reason 😆😆😆. Aftercare instructions were explained to me in detail. Even after I left I had a few questions and I had no issues in getting answers from Kai. I would recommend this shop with my eyes closed. Awesome place, quality work. Keeping it 💯. Went back on 09/30 for a septum piercing and I couldn’t be any happier with the whole process and the way it’s healing. Best piercing shop around, hands down.

Malakai was great for our 4 month old’s ear piercings. It’s been 3 weeks and we’ve had no issue. The parlor is clean and Malakai is very experienced. My daughter’s ears were numbed and after the piercing she was dry eyed and even had a smile to flash. Malakai explained the after care cleaning well and we’ve thankfully been good. My daughter is Afro-Latino and her ear piercings are look lovely on her. I would definitely recommend him over the mall store piercing locations, especially for babies and children.

I cant thank Malakai enough! I had my daughters ears pierced elsewhere. She has had nothing but problems with the piercings. I sent Malakai a message asking for advice. He replied quickly. We spoke, he offered to look at my daughters ears. I went to Forever Ink to meet with him. He was so kind. He explained everything to myself, but more importantly to my 7 year old. We took our daughter to get her ears pierced for her 7th birthday because we knew that its better to get it done by a professional piercer. Malakai had great reviews and he didnt disappoint. He was quick and professional and so gentle with our little girl. He explained the aftercare thoroughly. After about a month, she got an infection from touching her earrings and playing with them with dirty fingers. I texted Malaki and he responded right away. He saw us that day and walked us through the care. He took his time to demonstrate for me so I knew exactly what to do. Literally the next day her ears got so much better. Theres something to be said about a guy whose got decades of experience in this art. He really knows his stuff. If you want your kids piercing to be done right, go to Forever Ink and ask for Malakai. You wont regret it.

My 2 daughters & I got our noses pierced by Malakai a couple of months ago. We had my grandsons with us as well. He was playful with my older grandson, and yet so funny. He also shared stories of Led Zeppelin & how his dad made their guitars, which was amazing to us, because they were my late brother’s favorite band. That subject brought us all such comfort. He was so clean, quick, & efficient when doing our piercings. He provided us with so much information, he answered my questions before I could ask them. He was so amazing, I referred my best friend’s wife to him & my daughter referred her friend to him, they both got their piercings done by him and were just as pleased! From the gentleman who answered when I called with questions and made our appointments to walking in and out of the door, the service was stellar!

Both my friend and I have gone to Malakai for most of our piercings including naval, ear, and nose piercings and had a great experience each time. Very clean and comfortable atmosphere and he did an incredible job each time. He answered every question we had about aftercare and we both will definitely be going back!

Malakai did my daughter’s ears a year ago when she was 2 months old and did a fantastic job. Went back today with my 7 year old to get his ears pierced and Malakai and Ralph pierced at the same time. They were so fast and efficient. My son didn’t even cry. They gave us clear instructions for cleaning and taking care of the piercings. 10/10 would definitely recommend.

I surprised my older sister with a tongue piercing, something she has always wanted to get. We got our piercings done my Malakai and he was amazing! I mean hands down the best Ive been to. He was very knowledgeable and personable. He was very sweet and kind and talked to us the entire time. We will definitely be going back for more piercings and tattoos with this shop. Im a very specific person when it comes to piercings and tattoos and I have extremely high standards which they have met and exceeded. He was very knowledgeable about dealing with African American skin and the reactions that we have to specfic metals and told me and my sister that our specific tongues can still get pierced even though most shops would turn us away since we are tongue tied. so to any African American person who wants a piercing go here as fast as you can.

Im giving this the benefit if the doubt because I loved the shop and the owner was super nice let me stress that. I got my tragus pierced here about a year ago he used a butterfly back which is usually only used for exterior piercings like the lobe and possibly cartilage. It looked great was pierced perfectly and the guy did everything right but then The back began to collect ear wax and dead skin and i called and he put in a flat back for me free of charge which was deeply appreciated! two days after my ear ate the piercing because the bar was too small and after the trauma to my ear because the flat back is a different gage than the butterfly it swelled. I had to then pull it all the way out of my ear (the full piece of jewelry including the back). Then after waiting for it to heal I went somewhere else to get it done over the scared tissue. No hate for the shop at all they do great work and are very clean and they are super kind and want their customers happy!

Malakai has made every single visit the most pleasant experience. Went in for what I thought was a conch, was educated by Malakai, came out with what I REALLY wanted; a punch piercing.(: He made my experience easy going, efficient & painless! I got a dermal piercing on my face about 3 weeks ago and my piercer was amazing ! I did not feel pain, he was very gentle and clean. I had a scare two days later (absolutely nothing wrong it’s just me being me) and he was so amazing and attentive to my reaction and checked it out! By far the best experience I’ve had as far as piercings (I had 13) THANK YOU FOR your artistic service! The body art is a beautiful thing and you’re a genius at it!

Malakai gave me my first nose piercing yesterday and he was great! He explained what to expect/ how to take care of it, and used sterile equipment. The piercing itself was quick and not too painful! I’d definitely recommend this shop and Malakai! (Also their emotional support dog Macho was such a sweet baby!)

I impulsively got a inverted labret piercing from malaki, and he was great! he walked me through the process and when it started to hurt he kept reassuring me that i was doing great and it was almost over. he was very detailed about the do and fonts of this piercing along with cleaning procedures. 10/10 would recommend going to this shop. love this shop because you can walk in and be out in 10 min or less! same with the tattoos! i woke up one morning, decided to get a tattoo and there was no issues at all! love this place and will be returning

I got pieced by kai and i was bleeding uncontrollably, because it was a rook piercing, but he was there with me the whole time until it stopped and kept asking me if i was okay and everything i felt very taken care of and that same day i also got tattooed by yerfin and he did an amazing job i loved it so much and i always get compliments on it! i will definitely be back for more i love these guys

I didnt write this review right away because I wanted to give my piercing a few days to make sure everything was ok. I went to the shop because my belly piercing (that I got pierced in August at a well known tattoo shop in Montclair) seemed infected and irritated. The days before it was bleeding constantly from forced trauma on my end. Anyways, I found this tattoo shop because I figured it was time to have someone look at it. I met Malakai and he was very welcoming, along with the rest of the staff and very knowledgeable. He knew the problem without me having to explain the back story. Turns out the jewelry that was used was either Nickle or sterling silver and I was having a bad reaction. I had swelling and a slight infection. He was nice enough to teach me the difference between the jewelry that was used and should be used. He took out the old jewelry and replaced it with titanium and a longer bar ( the original jewelry was so discolored and dark and very small, the piercer also pierced me too deep) It is now Thursday I went to see Malaki on Monday and my piercing is healing so beautifully. No pain what so ever and I keep forgetting that I even have one because its painless. Thank you to FOREVER INK for being so kind and helping me. I was so freaked out. I will be back from this point forward. Oh he also makes his own solution that is specifically for titanium and Ive been using it twice a day

Great great place! Super friendly and inviting and most importantly fun and safe! I got a piercing on my eyebrow done and was so amazed with the speed and quality of the time spent that I took my girlfriend here to get her belly button pierced. There was a minor complication a week later so Paul replaced the piercing with a better one not only on short notice but also FREE OF CHARGE and invited us to get it looked at again in two weeks! Cannot recommend this place enough if you’re looking for a quality job and a good time simultaneously :)

Malakai gave me my first facial piercing when I turned 18. My ring fell out within the first few weeks because I was washing my face and he repierced it back for me. He’s great, extremely knowledgeable and great service overall!!

My boyfriend and I got our noses pierced together. It was his first ever piercing and we both had such a great experience! He got his left nostril pierced and I got both my septum and my right nostril to complete the look I was going for. Malakai did an AMAZING job. Ive had quite a few piercings before but Malakai was the most professional, quickest, and efficient piercer Ive been to. The placement and size of the jewelry was perfect. My boyfriend was also very pleased with the placement and look of his. He actually pulled his ring out of his nose a few days later and Malakai was not only kind enough to re-pierce it, but gave him a discount! We also got free cleaning solution which was a huge help during aftercare! They are healing up really well and Ive already gotten a ton of compliments! Got my septum done here. My piercer Kai did an amazing job, very welcoming. I love how informative he was. The piercing is healing beautifully ,placement was spot on definitely going back to have him change the ring out. Might get another piercing as well.

Got my tongue pierced here a year ago and I’m still in love with it. Was in and out in 5 minutes, my piercing was quick and as pain free as possible. Healing process was easy and fast and one year later I’ve had no issues with it. I love that they pierce with titanium since I have a nickel allergy and have a hard time finding places that will use titanium instead of just claiming their stainless steel won’t cause a reaction.

I went in for a nostril piercing last week. My piercer had a great attitude that helped me relax and the process was quick and smooth. Thanks to all of his information on caring for it, I am healing beautifully. I am in love with this piercing and I think I’m going back for more!

I was recommended to Forever Ink by one of my mother’s colleagues who took her baby there to get her ears pierced . When I had arrived there I was greeted very kindly at the front desk. Benny did my piercing and he was very polite, and professional when explaining the procedure and aftercare of the piercing. The studio was extremely clean and organized. Ive wanted to pierce my nose for a very long time now and Im glad that I found Forever Ink. After reading the reviews, getting schooled about keloids (nobody wants that especially not on their face) and talking to Malachi over the phone...the decision to go through with it was really easy. Everyone that I encountered while I was in the shop were friendly and the piercing was really quick. Malachi taught me how to care for it with the cleaning solution that I purchased there and he told me when I could come back to get a hoop put in but to be honest I forgot the details by the time I got to the car because I was so excited. Thats fine because I feel comfortable enough to call back to ask him questions. I definitely recommend that you come here!

I went in got my nose piercing changed to a gold hoop, I paid for a GOLD hoop. a few weeks went by and the hoop is no longer gold and my nose now is infected. I have had hoops on my nose before never has it gotten infected I am truly upset at the fact that I was sold a gold hoop that truly was not, BUT SUPER UPSET THAT IT CAUSED MY NOSE TO GET INFECTED. I would not recommend and I definitely will not be going back for any services at the shop.

Malaki was amazing. My best friend and I went in one night randomly to get our navels pierced and it was quick and easy. He broke down everything to us and the proper precautions to take. We love it and It didnt even HURT. 10/10 would recommend.

Malakai was very welcoming and when doing my belly piercing he did it fast so there was no pain. He is very helpful and overall I had a good experience.

We were here back in January and both my daughter and step-daughter had their noses pierced by Malakai. I should have left a review then because the experience was awesome! Both girls were extremely nervous and he could not have been better with them. He was sweet without “babying” them and he didn’t feed into their anxieties. He knew exactly what to do to make it work for each of the girls individually and I couldn’t have been happier with the experience! Ok….so I should have written a review then but I HAD to write one now. Fast forward over 7 months later and my daughters nose got red and swollen out of nowhere. She was so scared she was going to have to take her piercing out so 8 at night I took a chance and texted Malakai….he responded immediately asking for me to send close up photos of the piercing. I did….my daughter (and I) both had instant relief when he said it looked like she had just caught it on something in her sleep. He told me what to do to clean it and followed up with how to make a paste. It immediately started getting better (then 3 days later she of course got it caught bad on a pair of sunglasses🤦🏻‍♀️) so we are still in the process of getting it back to normal BUT it is so nice to know that I can reach out with questions at anytime. We’ll probably stop by to have him take a look as well since he made it clear that he actually cares about the people he pierces and the questions are not a “bother” to him. I’ve met a lot of piercers in my life and I can’t say that I could do the same with others. Malakai is definitely one of a kind and if anyone is looking to have a piercing done I would recommend him hands down!!!! I got my nose pierced here back in the summer time and absolutely loved it. The process was quick and easy, as well as professional. I unfortunately had to remove my piercing for a surgery but I will 100% be going back to get it re-pierced here! It was such a clean and safe space that I recommend to everyone for precise and good piercings. Also, the owner makes sure that you get the right jewelry to prevent any allergic reactions which saved me so much stress!

I stopped in and got my nose done by Malakai, after reading some reviews. And let me tell you that this was the best experience getting a piercing I’ve ever had. It was quick and painless, he was very thorough and in depth explaining to me how to care for it, clean it, and answering all my questions thoroughly. He washed his hand before even putting his gloves on and showed me that all the equipment used on me and my piercing itself were all brand new and sterile. I was in and out within 20 minutes. I will most definitely be coming back for all future piercings! I would give 10 stars if I could!

I brought my 3 year old here 2 weeks ago because she wanted her ears pierced. Malakai was gentle and they came out perfectly. Within 24 hours the soreness was gone (she only complained when I was cleaning them). Highly recommend!!!

My mother and I went to get piercings. I was amazed by the knowledge of the gentleman that pierced me. I requested a hoop for the piercing he very respective informed me that a hoop was not a safe option and he would pierce me with a titanium stud and after it healed he would be more than happy to change it for me. I went to Forever Ink after having a bad experience at another piecing shop where they used stainless steel jewelry on my naval piercing and I ended up getting a terrible reaction to the nickel so I came here and Malakai put titanium in and immediately I felt better. I also got my helix and nose pierced and the process was very quick, clean, and professional; He cleans everything in front of you and talks to you on how to take care of the piercing. I had an issue where a possible keloid was forming from a cartilage piercing at a different shop. I came for confirmation and these guys at Forever Ink explained in a clear manner the confirmation of what I feared. They told me why and they how to care for it as well as the insertion of proper hypoallergenic piercing. They fixed my ear and educated me in the process. They did it with such a brotherly sense where I felt cared for. Great people and great skills.

I was looking for somewhere to get my youngest daughters ears pierced. After having a terrible experience with my oldest, I was determined to go to a professional this time around. After doing research I decided to visit forever ink and I’m glad I did. If your expecting mall piercing prices, this isn’t the place for you but I’d rather pay a premium for quality materials and service. After verifying the location of the piercing in each ear, the process was very quick. We were even given an antibiotic to treat the piercing which was a nice added bonus. I had a great experience here on both occasions when I visited Forever Ink. I had my tragus pierced by Malakai and he was very kind. I was so nervous but he took the time to answer my questions prior to the piercing (and even during). He was patient and showed that he cared by following up with me immediately when I reached out for additional questions. He also told me I could come back if I had any concerns and he was true to his word. I went back and without hesitation he addressed the concern and offered more information to help me with the aftercare for my piercing. I went to this place to get four ear lobe piercings. Benni did my piercings, supervised by Malakai, and everything went fine and I loved how my piercings looked (which i why Im giving them 2 stars). However, 3 of my piercings became infected and swollen within a week. I followed the exact care instructions Benni and Malakai gave me--I even purchased the saline solution they sold at the shop and used it to clean my piercings. I ended up making my own sea salt and distilled water solution to clean my piercings, and it cleared the infection up within 4 days. They followed sanitary protocol, so Im pretty sure my piercings became infected because of their solution.

I knew I wanted to pierce my daughters ears. I texted Malakia and he responded immediately and was so nice and professional. He assured me of the whole process and told me to come whenever I was ready. We went today and my daughters ear piercing is perfect. He is amazing with babies and is very skilled and talented with quick hands. She took it like a champ and now she has nicer studs on her ear than I do! I will definitely recommend this place and will tell my pediatrician to send all the babies here!

I highly recommend forever tattoo they are awesome. I got my nose piercing done and they talked to me which distracted me through the process. Yesterday I was finally ready to get my nose pierced. As soon as I told Malakai what I was coming in for he told me to come to the back. I was nervous but excited for my piercing. I laid down closed my eyes to relax and it literally took him 3 seconds to complete my piercing. I was shocked and amazed. My eye did water but I did not have time to experience the pain since he did it so quick. This place is great. I was originally dissatisfied with the way my navel piercing looked (to no fault of the piercer, just my anatomy). Kai offered to repierce it for free with new jewelry, for no charge at all! It looks great and I am very happy with it. You can tell they care very much about their customers.

I got a bad piercing at a different studio and im so thankful I came to Forever Ink to get it fixed. The first studio I went to that pierced me totally messed it up: wrong gauge, too short of a bar, low quality jewelry (stainless steel), etc. My piercing wasnt healing correctly so I decided to come to Forever Ink because I heard good things about Malakai. When I got there they too COVID regulations seriously which was awesome and it was very clean. Malakai switched my earring to titanium and put a longer bar in. Went to see Malaki for my 4th tattoo. Its of my late grandmothers handwriting from my Christening card (will update with picture later). Malakai is super friendly and professional. He makes the experience fun and easy. Once he was done with the tattoo, he noticed the other tattoo on my forearm needed the line work fixed. He offered to clean it up right there (and I dont even think he charged me for it). He said he just likes doing nice things for others (which I love that attitude about him). I definitely recommend coming here if its your first or 20th tattoo. Cant wait to come back for the next project.

I came into this shop to get my first cartilage piercing hoping for a great experience and got the complete opposite. The piercer was extremely rude and his vibe was way off. I’ve read other reviews and realized I’m not the only one who thinks this guy likes to rush you out of his shop. Even if you’re having a bad day you shouldn’t bring a negative attitude into your workplace, the customers don’t deserve that. This was my first and last time going to this shop. Overall terrible experience.

Wife and I got our forearms done about two weeks ago, and everything was cool, professional, and friendly. Relaxed atmosphere, and talented artwork. Wifes tattoo was quick and done beautifully. Mine took significantly longer, but wont complain when substituting speed for quality. This little place rocks and the artists are good people. If youre local, theyre definitely worth checking out.

Everything went really well! My friend and I got our nipples pierced last minute today. It went really fast and he was so talkative and funny to keep our minds occupied. He explained and showed us that everything was that he was using was brand new. Definitely going back again!

They have great reviews for piercings however the customer service was terrible .. I called yesterday to ask about upcoming Friday the 13th special the gentleman on the phone informed me they were starting them wed 5/11 - 5/13 and if I was smart to go that day to beat the crowd I call back to inform them I will be arriving between 8:30-9PM (they close at 10) he asked me to arrive closer to 8:30 I STATED SOMEONE WAS COMING FROM NEW YORK AN HOUR AWAY AND WE WILL TRY.. we arrived at 8:42 to be exact and when I explained what I was there for I got treated like I didn’t know what I was talking about and of course the guy who told me the info they said wasn’t there i explained the travel the other person took to give them business and they didn’t care at all said come back tomorrow as if tolls and gas are cheap the “tattoo guy” kept talking from behind the curtain said he “didn’t have stuff” it’s a tattoo shop how you not have anything !! He never came from behind the curtain to talk which I think was rude Just terrible there was no offer for the inconvenience …. There was no consideration… no compassion and they didn’t stick by their word …. Typical men ! They prob do great tattoos but the way I was treated I wouldn’t give them my money now ….If I just showed up ok my fault ! But I called TWICE!! I knew to get cash I knew that if I brought in a small tattoo I wanted they would do that for me too an an extra cost I clearly spoke to someone to get treated how I did .. It was just so unfair

2 REVIEWS: I brought my daughter here for the first time a couple months ago for the removal of a keloid on her nose piercing. The place that originally pierced it was of no help at all TWICE. Kai was amazing with my daughter. Removed it quickly, gently, and without any pain. He was extremely knowledgeable as to why this happened (explaining the type of jewelry that the other place used was what caused the keloid) and how to properly apply a simple paste for some aftercare. We replaced that piece of jewelry with a titanium piece from Forever Ink. She has not had a problem since and is so grateful for Kai.Today I brought my daughter in to leave a deposit for Benny to do her first tattoo. We were going to schedule an appointment for a later date. Benny was able to draw it up within minutes and we decided to do it right then! Please do not bring your baby to this place. My 11 month old daughter’s piercing came out uneven and once done Malakai was all nice about fixing the mistake he made. Once it was done and i was not satisfied, he tried to convince me that they are perfect but they were evidently uneven. Malakai kept blaming my 11 month old daughter that she wouldnt stay still but what can you expect from a baby. Its him who cant do his job but he lives in a bubble thinking he is the best.. I got my piercing done too along with my daughter and they are uneven as well and I DIDNOT move a bit during my piercing. I took her to this place after reading reviews on google but I feel mall kiosks for piercing are much better than this place. I cant stop blaming myself for taking my daughter to this place. Please do not bring your babies here.

Just last evening my daughter and I went to Forever Ink as her nose ring that she had placed in September by Malaki had come out during a nap. About 5pm she alerted me that the corkscrew style nose ring come out so both she and I attempted unsuccessfully to put it back in. At one point, I noted redness and a little blood so I remembered that we were instructed to replace with a regular earring which didnt work for us either.We went to Forever Ink to get help since we remember Malaki saying we could come back if we needed. We entered the store and was asked right away what we needed by a tattoo artist who stopped what she was doing and brought us to the back for Malaki. We explained to him what happened and he immediately scolded me like a child asking did you see any blood and dont lie. He also said while shaking his head back and forth in annoyance, I told you to put an earring in it if it started to bleed and now its gonna hurt, its gonna really hurt. I asked him what he was referring to and he repeated multiple times that it would hurt and eventually stated that he would need to pierce the nose again. I figured he was a little rough around the edges but willing to help so I answered his questions and agreed to the piercing.As Malaki started to prepare a tray and put gloves on, I asked that he wash his hands to which he replied why. I was stunned but as a nurse who works in quality and teaches infection prevention practices, I explained to him that I visible see we caught him in the middle of eating a fast food and that his hands were visibly dirty and that washing his hands was the right thing to do. He replied that he would double glove or else you gotta wait now to which I said well happily wait for you. He proceeded across the hall to the bathroom where I peeked and saw him washing his hands pretty good (except at a tattoo artist I would want to turn the faucet off with a towel since you use your dirty hands to turn it on).When he returned to the room he commented, now you have to wait for my hands to dry, even though I noted paper towels right behind me. Then he said you know I dont know what you think but this aint no sterile process anyway so I dont know what difference it makes for me to wash my hands. I explained to him clean versus sterile and that although he isnt in a sterile environment such as an operating room but in his profession he should aim to be as clean as he possibly can. I explained that by taking the same hands to eat and drink and touch the multiple items in the environment and then touching the outside of the gloves to put them on, the only person that he was protecting was himself and not my daughter. I explained that I had no aspirations for this to be sterile but that clean will do and nowadays just about every business has hand sanitizer which also works well and he should consider especially in a profession where blood exposure is inevitable. After that explanation, I looked at my prized possession, my 15 yr old daughter who Im responsible for protecting and got her outta there.If you have to give an explanation to an experienced piercer and artist,its time to go. Life is ttoprecious for shortcuts in a business such as this one. Im not perfect nor do I expect perfection. I know regulations are such that he shouldve known better ESPECIALLY given he works around blood! This is 2019, we have to do better and expect better for ourselves. Its a proven fact that..Washing hands actually saves lives and we should all take that seriously!Malaki has added a comment 4 yrs later to my review, so Ill address his accusations. I was never an employee of his establishment, as I mentioned previously, I am a trained nurse with 20 years of experience having worked in many areas from inpatient acute care, home care, and recently nursing leadership. Ill keep this short and sweet. We had a bad experience, but what makes it worse is that instead of apologizing and vowing to do better this business owner insults their displeased patrons as seen in other reviews.

I came to the shop with a friend I had gotten my piercing done from another place in new brunswick. I asked him to have a look at my piercing and he told me I was gonna get a keloid they had used ear piercing in my nose. Malakai was so nice , explained me how to clean it and changed my nose piercing.Really recommend him to anyone.

Dont waste your time. i got my cartilage pierced a couple months back and just had to take it out because it would not heal if i left it as it is. my piercing was done at a horribly steep angle and the piercer put in the wrong jewelry (he uses butterfly backs. youre not supposed to use those for anything other than lobe piercings). now i need to get it re-pierced once it gets better. waste of money. dont bother.

So I was told by two different body piercers that my ears were too small for an industrial piercing, but Malakai took one look at them and was able to do both my industrial & my tragus quickly and painlessly. Very professional and friendly, I would definitely recommend!

Took my 5 year old last week to get her ears pierced. Its harder than I thought to find a professional tattoo/piercing place to do a 5 year old--most cater to babies or 6-8 years old minimum. I saw a few reviews from local moms about Forever Ink so after checking out their website I texted Malakai to make an appt. I was surprised that I ended up having a long conversation with him via text about the process and what to expect (which I really appreciated) . What my husband and I both really liked was that he said that right before he pierced he would ask my daughter if she wanted to have her ears pierced and if she said no, he wouldnt do it, no matter what I said or wanted. As a mom who is determined to instill your body, your rules in my children I was thrilled with this policy.My daughter was super excited to get her ears done, but also very nervous. Malakai was very welcoming when we got to his room and put her at ease with his friendly demeanor. She chose her earrings (all were studs but different sized balls and of course she chose the jeweled ones lol) and Malakai marked her ears. He explained tthe placement for each. As he started getting everything ready my daughter freaked out and I had no idea why. I tried to calm her down (as did he) but she couldnt explain what was going on. I knew we were done and true to his word, Malakai said he wouldnt pierce her that day.I took her outside and then into our car. She wouldnt buckle up and kept insisting we go back because she wanted it done. I explained that we couldnt do it while she was so upset becuase it was dangerous for her and Mr. Malakai if she moved, and he didnt want to hurt her. I asked her again what had made her so scared all of a sudden and she said the scissors. I had no idea what she was talking about as I hadnt seen any sccissors. At this point she was more upset because she lost her chance to get her ears pierced. I texted Malakai to ask when we could try again and explained the scissors thing. He said if she wanted to try again we could, but if she got scared again we would have to wait until she was older. I felt this was fair and we went back in.When we got back to the room he had Disney tunes playing which I think helped put her at ease a little. He then immediately showed her the clamp to hold her earlobe, which he had realized she had mistaken for scissors LOL! He showed her how it didnt hurt and she was good to go. He put the freeze spray on her ear and she was fine. He talked to her about how important it was to not touch her ears to keep them clean and gave us cleaner to use 3x a day for a couple of weeks.Its been a week and her ears look great!! After a couple of days the slight swelling went down completely. No complications and shes still so excited to show off her earrings. Would definitely recommend Malakai at Forever Ink!

Malakai is an incredible piercer, he takes his time and is foremost the best informer of what he is doing step by step and really makes sure you fully understand the process and concerns along with the piercing and healing time.My story: I came in with my friend, she was getting an industrial peircing and during that time I was struggling with trying to force in a nose ring to a pericing that had already closed ... he had repeirced it for me and explained the dangerous consequences of what could happen if I continued to force the ring through, I’m thankful to have been informed of the information and for the help of Malakai!

I got my helix pierced and it was clean and very very quick. i was in and out in about 10 minutes. he gave me tips and told me way to keep it as clean as possible and was very thorough. will definitely be coming back.

My wife, my son, and I have all had work done here. From my personal perspective, Malakai took a 25 year old tattoo I had and gave it new life, looks amazing. I also brought a photo in to Dave, which he turned into a portrait on my forearm. Again, amazing work and Im extremely happy with how it came out. Will be visiting again.

Well worth the airline flights ubering to and from Newark have my work done and this is Greg shop. Cleanest studio of ever been in hygiene is taken to the utmost level to protect clients as well as artist.

I got my nose pierced around the beginning of July and had a great experience. Malakai was polite and did my piercing quickly and easy. I did get a keloid about a month ago from now and it did go away. Just recently, I found out a small, tiny bump again. What is the best way to heal the keloid for good?

Last week I came in with a group of friends in the afternoon. When we walked in we noticed that there was no one in the front to greet us at the desk. At some point a man came to the front to ask us what we were here for and sent us to the back piercing room before disappearing again. This was not my first experience with getting a piercing and I was taken aback that none of us were asked to fill out any forms, no one was asked for IDs and no one discussed many aftercare details or any explanations of the procedures. We are all in our early 20s but the establishment did not know that and that was concerning. The piercer started seeing us one by one and I immediately noticed that he did not wash his hands, he wore gloves but did not wash them. One main reason that we came here was that the site mentioned that they offered gold jewelry, the piercer did not show us any selection of jewelry as is customary at many other shops. The piercer did not show any of us the placement of the jewelry beforehand, which was a bit of a surprise. He also did not count to three and pierce on 3 like many other piercers do. The whole process was very rushed and as such we didnt really have much time to react or take much of it in. I was very unhappy with the placement of my piercing, which I only realized after the whole thing happened. One of my friends has a piercing that was very poorly placed, an industrial bar, you can only see it from one side and looks like its digging into his ear. All in all the place is cheap and that seems like the only plus, you really do get what you pay for. The lack of professionalism, rushed pacing of the procedures and lack of attention to standard details and hygiene are astounding in a profession whose foundation is supposed to be comprised of these elements. I only went here on the recommendation of a friend as I normally go to Sanctum in New Brunswick, which is infinitely better, cleaner and more professional in every way. Id like to think of this as a lesson that maybe wasnt costly in the short term but in the long run will stay with us. I looked at the other low reviews and noticed that the owner and piercer gets very defensive when people call him out. Im writing this review to warn people to take all this in consideration and avoid establishments like this that are lacking in basic procedures, and consideration that should be afforded to all clientele.

The guy who does the piercings is amazing! Definitely recommend this place. I have a low tolerance for pain but the piercing was quick and easy with no pain, he did an awesome job. Thanks again!

Got a cartilage piercing done here more than 3 months ago and it still hurts. I gave up on it healing and am going to let it close to get it redone somewhere else. This was my 7th piercing and I never had an issue healing but my first time using this parlor. Will not come back since the guy barely looked at the position of the cartilage on my other ear when I asked him to do it the same. There were no other customers but he rushed my friends and my piercings. Very disappointing that I tipped him well.

I had both my earlobes pierced here. Would I come back to this shop for any more work? No. The owner took care of me during the visit. He was rude and unprofessional. He abruptly hung up on me on the phone when I had questions about the job prior to coming in. I felt rushed and there was not so much time taken to be rest assured since it was my first experience. From what I saw in the shop, not all safety guidelines were followed especially during this time of the pandemic. Everybody is going through a tough time now but the owner should really work on the attitude instead of yelling across the parking lot at the middle of the day.

Went to Forever Ink because my cartilage piercing would not heal. It had been 7 months and one day it began bleeding and the bubble on the back hadn’t gone down for months no matter how many treatments I tried. I decided to try a different piercing place and I found forever ink. Found out my jewelry had nickel in it, and my skin was reacting to that and therefore it wasn’t healing. I never would’ve known! I got a titanium bar.He also drained my bubble which was a relatively painful experience but it needed to be done. I hope it heals now, and I will go back here if I have any more issues

Called inquiring about of how much a belly piercing would cost. The guy who answered the phone immediately stated If youre Black or Hispanic youre going to keloid and we have to use different metal, so it would be 80 bucks. Interesting bc I have several tattoos and piercings and none of them keloided...Super unprofessional.. Wouldnt recommend.

I got my dermal done here and the guy was great! Super easy to talk to, really funny and really fast. I was in and out within a total of 15 minutes at most. I had a dermal done years ago but it was so painful and slow. He definitely made the experience really easy!!

Their tattoo artist Benny is by the the best. I came in for a chest/half sleeve and not only did he take my idea and make it so unique but the tattoo came out so great. Best experience I’ve had so far of getting a tattoo, would go back to him 100% if you want a great quality beautiful tattoo!! Benny is the mannnn !

The shop is clean. Ive only ever met 1 artist because it seems hes the only one ever there. I went in on 3 separate occasions to talk over tattoo ideas, hoping to get a different artist, but did not have luck. The third time I went in I got my tattoo, my friend came with me and was going to get her tattoo done as well, but did not get a positive vibe from the artist so decided against it. - The artist I had wasnt very friendly, his personality isnt welcoming... But youre there to get a tattoo, not make friends. As far as my tattoo goes, it did not turn out as expected. I enjoy the country rustic look so because the lines are thicker in some spots and its not even, I like the look. But the original look was supposed to be straight thin lines, to which he then improvised and thickened the lines without talking it over first - which has resulted in the tattoo being raised in some areas and deep in others. This is not my first tattoo, none of my others have healed this way, but Im hoping that because its on my wrist its just a different healing process. I personally wouldnt go back.

Went here for the first time for a Friday the 13th tattoo & loved it!! The wait was insane but totally worth it in the end. Benny is amazing!!! Forever Ink is a great place to get a piercing or a tattoo. The customer service is great! I had both daith piercings done and Malachi did an excellent job, he has the best hands. He did the piercings so quick! The daith piercings are great to combat headaches/migraines. I would recommend Forever Ink to anyone.

Our nearly 5 year old daughter L has been long talking about getting her ears pierced. This became much trickier than I imagined, due to age. After research I came upon Forever Inksanity. Im heavily tattooed and pierced myself, so ONLY needle piercings WOULD DO. They were well rated already, so off we went. I immediately knew I had made the right decision in the door. The lady up front and Malakai went out of their way to learn to pronounce Ls name. (Very old fashioned but similar to another name.) Perhaps its because her Mama is different, she really ENJOYED Malakais company. He was patient with ME (lol) as we found proper placement. His empathy was overwhelming with her, allowing a break between the two piercings, reassuring her how amazingly brave she was. When all was said and done, EVERYONE was high-fiving. MY KID left NOT ONLY with her 1st ear piercing, but the MOST POSITIVE EXPERIENCE a little could possibly have getting their 1st ear piercing. If youre on the fence...bring your kid here. I mean seriously. Bring. Your. Kid. Here. You (and your kid) will have an amazing, unforgettable experience.

I got my nostril pierced here. took 2 seconds. super clean and sterile. My only complaint is that on the website it’s listed as $60. I even contacted one of the employees prior and made sure the jewelry price was included in the $60. They said it was. After the piercing was already done they charged me $80. Please change prices on the website if they’re incorrect.

Went in last minute and got on initial done on my hand. I wanted to do a cursive letter but Malakai kept it real with me and told me to do a different font due to placement and I really appreciate his honesty. Shop is clean and he played great music. Definitely plan to go back soon to get more of his work.

Great experience. My first tat in like 9 years really nice staff. The laidback vibe was big-time important to me. Update on my tattoo of negative writing. My tattoo healed normally but it just looks terrible. Looks jailhouse. So its like 9 months since I got my tat and Im changing my mind on this jailhouse look, Im changing my opinion and yes I would love for forever ink to redo the negative writing but knowing they probably wont redo a tattoo just cause I say it looks jailhouse. So knowing all this Im starting to like my tat more and more by the day... I payed I believe around $250.00 for this. IF anyone out there can touch this up for me please let me know. Thank you

I am going to be honest... I took my daughter here for her cartilage piercing and I took one of her friends for a nose piercing.. Malikah is not the most personable but he knows what he is doing. With that being said, we would return. If I cant have it all, I would prefer someone who is knowledgeable.

I spoke to someone on the phone that was very nice and told me a price. I get to the shop and the guy that did my tattoo was disgusting to me!!. He had a attitude because I wanted to add more to my tattoo, while doing that he kept going higher on the price when I was originally told one price. He was very unprofessional and rude and made me feel really uncomfortable to the point where I left the shop and went somewhere else and I really wanted that tatto.

This place is the real deal. They are very serious about what they do and the owner was awesome he hooked us up with the captain who is absolutely amazing. He sat with us for hours to pick the exact artwork that we wanted.my son and I wanted the exacttattoo honoring each other and the captain delivered!!! Anyone could just ink anybody but these guys went over detail before they even put one drop of Ink on my arm to make sure the details were exact Thank You Forever Ink you got me bit Im coming back for another. Very nice and caring staff. very clean as well, staff washes hands before every costumer. they took care of my piercing for weeks after i got it done, with check ups and they knew what was best for me. i love this place and the people that work here!!

Very bad experience. They didn’t ID me or have me fill out any paperwork. I got a small line tattoo & he messed up the lines. He said he was the owner of the shop. He also messed up my friends tattoo the same day. He complained the entire session. I’ve never met such a miserable tattoo shop owner.

A older guy around 40 did my tattoo there.At first it was nice. after a month it looks faded and not done right. he was very rude and rushed me off the phone every time we spoke. he rused through my tattoo...the only good thing was that it didnt hurt that bad. maybe because i felt that the needle was barley touching my skin. i have 6 other tattoos and they all look great so i know its not my body or how i took care of it. never again!!!!!!!!
