This past May, I visited LA and got my appointment with Rachel and I am forever happy with the result. The amount of compliments I got on my tattoo was a lot.The environment of the place is good, they showed hospitality, and everyone was very, very friendly. Rachel was patient with the tattoo and the line work was amazing. I love the shading, the clean line, the design, and it was exactly what I wanted. It’s been about two months since I got the tattoo and it has healed very well.Overall, the experience was amazing and I would 100% come back to get mine done here if I ever visit LA once more. I highly recommend this place!

I got my tattoo done by Rachel and she was absolutely amazing! Her line work was so precise and her detail work was immaculate. Shes also just generally super sweet and able to make you feel like youre right at home.She was able to bring my vision to life as if she could see directly into my head. The colors are bright and perfect and my tattoo looks like a work of art! Ive never been happier with a tattoo experience.The studio also has an awesome and friendly vibe with snacks and music. I will keep going back to her for all my tattoo needs from now on!

I booked one of Jingxi’s flash designs and got my tattoo about a month ago. I waited to write the review to ensure the tattoo had time to heal.The basic admin stuff was super easy, I was able to book, get instructions for parking, and aftercare all via email and/or the website so that made things easy.When I got there, we got there we had discussions about the tattoo and placement. After discussing where it would go, we had to make some adjustments to that tattoo to make it work better with the placement. I appreciate her for doing this because it was a flash and she could have just kept it as it and forced it to fit and I think would have made it look a bit weird.One thing to note - I have keloids and I haven’t had other artist tell me they wouldn’t tattoo over it, but she told me it was her policy not to tattoo there because we can’t tell how it’ll react. I truly appreciated this and the care she had for her client.It was a full day session and overall 10/10. There were moments of silence and moments of conversations so it was a good balance. She is obviously a talented artist so the tattoo process it was solid.I was able to see the other artist in the studio tattoo as well and their work is also amazing so you really can’t go wrong with anyone from Patch Tattoo Therapy.Highly recommend!

Got my first tattoo with Rachel at Patch Tattoo Therapy and it was a great experience. The space is clean, comfortable, creative, and professional. Rachel was patient and communicative throughout the entire process and you can tell she takes pride in her work. I will be back!

I had an amazing experience with jasmine here at patch tattoo therapy. the entire process of the tattoo felt like a breeze. She was very attentive and made sure I felt comfortable and Just look how amazing the tattoo came out! my favorite tattoo by far! I cannot wait to book again for more!

Jingxi and Kevin were so lovely to work with throughout the whole process. Their communication was top tier from beginning to end and far surpassed any tattoo shop Ive worked with thus far. You can tell they really care about the clients and the quality of the work. I love how they do a consultation before the design is made so you can voice what you want and arent surprised day of for the appointment. For the actual tattoo, Jingxi did a phenomenal job. This was a very special tattoo to me because it is a tattoo of my soul cat, and I knew I wanted the best artist possible. Well, as you can see from the pictures, she did amazing at capturing my cat while adding extra artistic elements. While its a perfect capture of my cat, its also a piece of art that is delicate and lovely. Im constantly getting compliments on it, and my fiance actually teared up when he saw it because of how beautiful it is. Overall, I couldnt recommend Jingxi or Patch Tattoo Therapy more. It was a wonderful experience and Im so happy with the final result.

Great experience getting a flash piece from Jingxi. Her art is unique and personal and she is such a sweet and diligent artist and human. She is very dedicated to creating the most ideal piece of unique art for each individual body.I love seeing and hearing about her story and interacting with her students. Rachel is such an amazing and attentive artist! She created a custom design for my pole dance tattoo and it is absolutely beautiful! Its quite large and was a six hour process with breaks - Rachel was very sweet, focused, and checked in on me often. The tattoo healed fast and with no issues - it is now one month later and its just as beautiful as day 1 :) :) :) Thank you so much Rachel, I will definitely be back!!

Jakki is AWESOME and was wonderful to work with. I showed her a picture of what I wanted, and she adapted it to a tattoo PERFECTLY. I didnt think it was possible for the tattoo to come out exactly as I envisioned it in my head, but Jakki made it happen. Her art/skill is really impressive, and on top of all that she managed to keep me entertained for the entire 8 hours the tattoo took. l will definitely be returning to Patch for future tattoos with Jakki.

After thinking about getting a tattoo for 15 years, Jingxis designs finally pushed me to go for it. I originally found her on Instagram and, luckily for me, her studio is pretty close to where I live. I managed to get a booking in for a consult, where we talked about what I wanted in a tattoo, placement, and size. I am a total newbie, so it was great hearing placement and size suggestions. I originally settled on having it placed on the back of my shoulder but, after she mentioned that I wouldnt be able to see it there unless I looked in a mirror, I decided to change the placement to my thigh, a decision I am so, so happy with!From the consult, to the first and second sessions, to after, Kevin was very communicative, professional, friendly, and helpful throughout the process. During the sessions I felt comfortable, cared for, and was continually informed throughout the sessions. The tattoo is healing wonderfully and I absolutely love everything about it, from the size, placement, and design. For me, having this tattoo is having some of Jingxis amazing art. I highly recommend Patch Tattoo Therapy and hope to be able to fit into another booking one day!

My experience at Patch Tattoo Therapy is going to be hard to top. Jingxi and Kevin are absolutely two wonderful people that make up the heart of this studio.My tattoo is a “re-do” of another one I’m currently getting removed. I felt my previous one did not capture the essence or what I wanted. I live in Pittsburgh and had researched many tattoo artists on my coast from New York to DC, whereas there were many talented, I ended up expanding my search to the West coast. After google searching, then researching on social media sites, I landed on Patch Tattoo Therapy. Just looking at the website, you can tell there is something special there.Communicating with the shop was efficient and clear. I was given detailed information about their process, asked questions about my expectations, and then set up a video consultation to discuss my idea. During my consultation, Jingxi was helpful, informative, and also realistic and truthful of what could and could not be done. I greatly appreciated her guidance as I am someone that needs help visualizing my creative ideas.I do want to note that I had to push my appointment even further out due to my parent being unexpectedly diagnosed with a terminal disease, but Kevin and Jingxi were kind and empathetic. They were willing to work with me despite the fact that they did not have to do that.Well the highly anticipated day of my appointment finally came. When I walked into the shop, it was bright, clean, and calming. Kevin went over the initial paperwork with me and let me know about all the amenities available to me. After that, Jingxi showed me the tattoo she designed for me. It took my breath away, she was able to take my random messy thoughts and create this beautiful piece that was exactly what I wanted. She really put so much effort and her artistic talent into this. Jingxi really took her time to talk with me where exactly I wanted to place the tattoo and the pros/ cons of each area. After I selected where on my arm I wanted it, she meticulously put the stencil on.I could really tell that Jingxi was really taking her time and paying attention to every single aspect of this tattoo. The tattooing process was comfortable; we took a few breaks and she also verbally checked on me throughout the process. Jingxi was very cognizant about my comfort (more so than myself). I was initially booked for two days but she was concerned that a second session so soon would be incredibly painful for me, so even though it was a longer day for her, she was able to finish it in a longer one day session (she did not rush at all).I also enjoyed chatting with Jingxi and learned a lot about her process. I think it’s so wonderful that someone of her caliber is not only focused on doing tattoos but also educating those up and coming artists about her techniques.This honestly has been a one of a kind amazing experience. I highly recommend coming here as I can’t see myself going to anyone but her moving forward!

Jing and Kevin were adorable.I have been scammed and though I got an appointment so I booked my flight, car and hotel from Paris (France) just to discover 4 days before leaving that all was a lie.I emailed and Kevin called me. I explained everything and they find me a spot 😊.The journey was saved!

I feel so lucky to have been tattooed by Jingxi. My tattoo turned out better than I had even hoped - I am thrilled with the result. And the process was lovely. The studio and appointments are managed really well. The studio is beautiful, clean and comfortable, and I was made to feel at home while I was there. TL;DR - Jingxi and Kevin are amazing to work with and provided a top notch experience. This was my first tattoo (and as they pointed out, likely not my last) and I was completely happy with the design and how everything turned out. Highly recommend and would come back again.Ive wanted a tattoo for a few years and had been looking at different designs over time. Thankfully one of my friends shared Jingxis social media page over a year ago with me and her work immediately caught my attention - specifically the abstract mountain arm band & I knew that was stylistically what I wanted (but more importantly, wanted to work with Jingxi just based on the quality and uniqueness of her work). I reached out to her studio and Kevin responded with the process and gave me all the information I needed to know so that I could reach back out when her books opened for project consideration. Kevin set clear expectations on timeline (submitted forms in summer 2022 for a spring/summer 2023 scheduling). Once selected, I had my initial consultation with Jingxi and Kevin over Zoom and it was great to be able to meet them virtually. What I appreciated the most about Jingxi was that she has the ability to tell you what will work best for you based on the design you want. Since I have darker skin, she said the blue coloring would not work best as it could fade badly which would compromise the quality of the design so we opted for a sunset color themed arm band. I gave her full control of the design as I really trusted her and was impressed with the work she’s been showcasing through her Instagram page. Leading up to the actual session, Kevin was quick to respond to any questions I had (and addressing any concerns since I had some anxiousness given it was my first tattoo).Day of session: Kevin and Jingxi really make you feel at home and from the start I was completely comfortable. Everything went very smooth and the design was presented at the start (which I was completely impressed with). Jingxi took time to look at the design against my skin as well as placement to make sure that how she set it would be the best on my arm/bicep. I was highly impressed with Jingxi’s talent and skill as she navigated through the session and she did check in with me to make sure I was doing OK. The session took about 6-7 hours but honestly, it went by pretty quickly – I spent time watching her ink myself which was fascinating and also just relaxing to her pretty dope playlist of tunes. I will say that Jingxi holds herself to a very high bar of quality and I did not feel that she rushed through anything – she was meticulous in her approach. The final product was amazing and her skill blows my mind in how she is able to make the art look like a painting on your skin.3 weeks since the session, the tattoo is healing really well. She did wrap my arm in sandiderm and I was able to keep it on for about 5 days and after that followed the aftercare instructions they provided. Thank you Jingxi and Kevin for an amazing experience and for an incredible first tattoo!

Well, Im coming back here again. I made that decision during the tattoo process with Sasha. The way she made sure the piece fit well with my body and even the different positions my forearm would be in....I appreciate the extra attention to detail even for a smaller tat. And you could tell there was a lot of consideration and care being put toward the tattoo. She really took a lot of time and effort into the shading, gradient, style and outcome of the tattoo. I couldnt be more pleased, and its better than the original picture. The studio has a good look and energy to it. The website is also super easy to read with helpful details on where to park, before and aftercare. I have emailed this shop a couple of times and Kevin is always responsive. The quality of the tattoo and even aftercare bandage is top-grade. Their tattoos are made to last and look good through the aging process. My experience there was excellent and it way surpassed any expectations. Ive been holding out on my larger piece and doing research on different places, and Patch Tattoo Therapy will be my first choice. Go follow Patch Tattoo Therapy on IG and other social media platforms so you can personally see all the beautiful work they do. And their flash pieces are amazing. I already enjoyed just looking at all the artwork that comes out of that studio, now having experienced it, was just over the top.

I have been following patch tattoo therapy for the last 2 years and have absolutely fallen in love with her art. I got one of the flash tattoos of the bird and lotus pod and it brings me joy daily. It has been 3 months since I got it and it has healed beautifully preserving all the intricate detail.Words cannot explain how magical and amazing this experience was. She takes time to discuss placement and make sure the tattoo fits the person. The care and love put into the process is unparalleled. I never thought I would get a tattoo, but I am so happy I did! I may even get another one, but only here! Everyone raves about how cool and detailed my tattoo is and I love to show it of! With tattoos, its all an organic process so when I received Kevins email, I felt seen. The consultation was conducted virtually and both Jingxi and Kevin were very communicative and open to throwing ideas around and where the tattoo will be best located. Fast forward a few months and I was in LA for the appointment. The studio was holistic and simple in contrast to more old school tattoo shops I have visited, and I was the only client present for the entire process. Patch Tattoo Therapy is doing tattoo training courses. I found out my friend Rachel (who I worked with,) got into their training. She was practicing a lot on fake skin. Her trainer Jing who is the owner of the tattoo shop, was there to watch over her do her first human skin! I gave myself up to be her 2nd practice. I enjoyed the time I had in the shop and my time with Rachel and Jing! She did a fantastic job!! Cant wait for her to do my other future tattoos!

Rachel did 2 tattoos for me and she did a magnificent job! All the artists and apprentices are stellar people and Patch Tattoo Therapy is somewhere I’d choose to hang out weekly if they’d let me :)

I was looking on Instagram for a place in LA to get my first tattoo and found Patch Tattoo Therapy’s profile. Jingxi’s work was exactly what I was looking for, and I ended up having a great experience right from the booking to the tattoo itself.Jingxi is super friendly and kept open communication throughout the booking process up to my appointment. As we finalized the details, she made her pricing and services very clear and easy to understand. It was pretty straightforward for me since I designed my tattoo myself, but she was very clear about what a custom design and/or modifications costs, and I think it’s all very reasonable. She also collected a lot of information (allergies, skin type, etc.) so she could be prepared ahead of time, which was a great sign and very appreciated.The tattoo process was amazing and I never felt nervous as Jingxi and her assistant Kevin were really nice and made me feel super comfortable. I came in with a lot of trust because I believe she has a good eye, and I really like her designs. I recently just finished getting my full sleeve done with this shop, and no complaints here. The project took a couple months short of a year.Consultation - It was a good mixture between listening to my ideas, and guiding me in the right direction on what types and styles go well together. What I liked the most was the transparency on the different projects/styles. Initially I came wanting a picture of my dog, and eventually getting a sleeve. Knowing I had that idea, the provided me with price points for my original idea, price for half sleeve, and price for full sleeve and let me decide.Artist - Quality of work is excellent. With tattoos, you pay for what you get. Keep in mind, youll be getting a high quality tattoo. Jingxi is open to different styles and provides helpful insight on why certain pieces should be placed in one area vs another. What is reassuring is that she isnt completed until she is satisfied with her work.Overall - Throughout the multiple sessions I went through, they were very friendly and welcoming. I wasnt viewed as another client, and I felt like they genuinely cared about me. Would 10/10 recommend anybody to get a tattoo here.

I was never the type of person to get tattoos until recently. Without a doubt, I left Patch Tattoo Therapy in complete awe with my new tattoo! Kevin will make you feel very welcomed and will make the scheduling process super easy to work with Jingxi. What I love about Jingxi is that she will take her time and work with you beforehand to make sure you get what you want and better than you can imagine, as her artistic and creative skills are on a whole other level. When she first showed me the design I was blown away! She looks into every tiny detail during the entire process making sure you walk away with a unique art piece that is personally meaningful to you. This was the best decision I made, and you won’t regret working with them!

Kevin was extremely helpful, always prompt in responding to my questions and concerns and making sure I had all relevant information. Jingxi is a true artist. She is very skilled and honest. I appreciated her recommendations and am super happy with my new tattoos. Ill be going back to Patch Tattoo Therapy for my next tattoo again!

This is gonna be a long review, with me documenting and reflecting on my tattoo experience here as a whole. If that experience resonates with you, you should probably consider booking too.I came across Jingxi’s work one day randomly scrolling through social media. She stood out among other tattoo-related posts I came across. Because when it comes to sth like tattooing, I’d definitely prefer someone who’s had solid training in classical drawing over someone who just loves to draw but is lacking in precision and correct proportions. (Just personal opinion. While I agree creativity comes in different shapes and forms and doesn’t always have to be technical, I wouldn’t feel confident wearing something flawed on my skin permanently).Then I came across her loquat flash. I thought it was quite unique and interesting even compared to her other flashes. It wasn’t a symbolically popular subject, but it was inarguably very Asian/Chinese. I ate the fruit growing up in China all the time without ever giving it much thought. There was a fruit-bearing loquat tree planted by a friendly old grandpa neighbour who always said hi. This was all many years ago. I learnt about loquat’s origins in the southern/south-eastern parts of China and how it travelled far and wide with earlier immigrants. I wrote an email to Kevin asking about the flash. He got back to me promptly. It took me a few more days to consider the logistics. Then I decided to trust my gut feeling and go for it. Deep down I knew there were a few good reasons to get it as my first and (most likely still) only tattoo — reasons I couldn’t quite articulate, but I liked the vagueness and openness of it too.Then comes the tattoo day. Jingxi, Kevin and Sasha made me feel very welcome. When I stepped into the shop on time, everything was already prepped and ready to go. Jingxi was feeling under the weather but still went with the appointment knowing my schedule. She poured all her attention and energy that day into tattooing and I cannot appreciate it more.She carefully decided on the placement, eventually splitting the image so that it would not crowd my smaller frame. It was sth that can be easily overlooked by an amateur (me). I realized afterwards that the Song Dynasty painting style she was going for with this piece also had the concept of intentionally leaving out blankness. So I couldn’t be happier with how it went.The whole day was split into several tattoo sessions. Colour shadings were definitely the longer and more painful sessions. Jingxi was as accommodating as she can be but to achieve perfect artwork there were definitely moments of discomfort. I’d suggest bringing some clothes if you feel cold like me when in pain.I was really surprised to learn that the loquat was one of her first attempts in the Song Dynasty painting style. The fruits were tiny but amazingly realistic. The broken leaves were a little more abstract and had an emphasis on outlines. The colours were those you’d see in real Chinese paintings. They blended together so well.I’m sure with the popularity she’s garnering, she can create more flashes she truly loves as an artist who clearly always tries to surpass herself. And somewhere out there, there would always be an audience who resonates with those feelings and finds meaning in her pieces.

Jingxi is an amazing artist and skilled tattooist. I really appreciated how she stepped me through the process, gave recommendations on placement, sizing, and how the image would work best on my arm. I am in love with my new bear and smile every time I look at it. Jingxi provides a tattoo experience that is calm and professional. Jingxi is unique many ways not afraid to explore and do on the beyond that is so very possible to do, this is my first tattoo and this was way beyond my expectations. I absolutely LOVE IT!! I had a wonderful experience at Patch Tattoo Therapy. Kevin was responsive, clear, and friendly during the scheduling process- the questions on the intake form encouraged deeper thinking and made me consider my priorities. I had a specific design and placement in mind, and Jingxi was respectful of my wishes while also being honest about specific size, line, and positioning suggestions to make the most of my plans. Im glad I listened to her suggestions and absolutely love my tattoo. Just look at those beautiful, clean lines!Jing has a great tattooing style- she moved around from one area to another so no spot ever got overstimulated or intensely painful. She applied the lightest touch each time she set the needle down that I barely ever twitched and never felt surprised. It was easy to settle into what felt like a mutual communicative rhythm with her and the whole process was the most enjoyable of any of my tattoos!I hope to return to Patch Tattoo Therapy to have future art installed.....Thank you, Jingxi and Kevin, for welcoming me into your studio!

Working with Jingxi and Kevin was such a dream! From the initial consultation to the final work, Im so happy with the process and result. Jingxi is an incredible artist and I absolutely love the work she did on my hands.I didnt have a concrete vision of what I wanted done when I scheduled my consultation, all I knew was that I wanted something on my hands. We worked together to discuss designs and limitations with hand tattoos and she was upfront and honest with me about her opinion. When I saw the final work the day of my appointment, it was perfect.Ive had a few tattoos done and Id say this was, by far, my most comfortable! The space is really cozy and cute, we took breaks as needed, and Kevin and Jingxi were both so sweet. I cant wait to come back again in the future!

If you’re looking for something above and beyond your expectations this is the place to go! From start to finish the communication was absolutely awesome and Kevin was super helpful to answer any questions I had about the process!I ended up flying out in June and I couldn’t be happier with how the tattoo turned out. I truly adore every detail that Jingxi included in this design of Wisteria on my shoulder and neck. She even freehanded lot of the base the first day so that it specifically fit me. I can’t say enough how grateful I am to have been able to get this custom design done by Jingxi and this will always be a very special piece of my childhood home that I will now be able to carry with me.

Jingxi is an artist and perfectionist at what she does. She custom made a design for me and gave me her honest opinion on what she thought would best match my body. When I was finally ready to get my first tattoos after way too many years of being afraid, I found Patch Tattoo Therapy on IG and was immediate impressed with the quality and detail of Jingxis work. Im definitely toward the perfectionist side so I knew if I was going to get work done that it would have to invest in someone I trusted to successfully execute my grand vision. I settled on getting 5 Elements done as a set and couldnt be happier with the way they turned out. The scheduling and planning leading up to the big day was a breeze with Kevin being very responsive, informative, and cordial. And then finally meeting Jingxi & Kevin in person just put my mind at ease, I knew I was in the right place. It was wonderful getting to know them both as we talked throughout the session (haha, okay, It was mostly me talking to distract myself from the more painful parts, but still :P ). I feel confident that you will be in good hands with Patch Tattoo Therapy!

This was so different from any other tattoo experience Ive had! From the initial contact email to actually making it into the shop, this is the best care Ive gotten. Kevin made sure that all my questions were answered, that all proper health care procedures were followed in the shop, and made the entire process run so smoothly. As for actually working with Jing, she is an incredibly talented artist who freehanded my tattoo and made it easy to get through the 6.5 hours we worked together. The shop itself is very clean, beautiful, and tranquil space that was easy to find. Getting to work with this team was truly a dream and Ill absolutely be coming back again. I found Jing first on TikTok and not going to lie I fell absolutely in love with her talent and art immediately!! I emailed her right away and Kevin got back to me extremely quick! What I wanted in regards to tattoo was very small compared to she is used to doing but she did not turned me down, I knew I wanted her input throughout the process and she absolutely delivered! I wanted many small tattoos on my arm and they all had different meaning to me. My arm already had tattoos on it so Jing took her time to place every one of them to make sure they flow with the other tattoos and placement was on point - so much so that she erased the stencil out many times because she didn’t like where she initially placed! I have never had such an incredible experience with a tattoo artist! She truly is an artist and the end result speaks for itself! I am so happy with the result that I want to come back for another piece already!

I got my first tattoo done by Jingxhi and I love it. I really appreciate the whole process and approach the team takes when working with their clients. From timely and clear communication from Kevin to the thorough discovery session with Jingxhi, it all felt organized, tailored and thoughtful. I really liked that Jingxhi took time to understand the backstory of the piece, my desires for the vibe and feel, and taking the time to talk through the small details like the flow of the whole tattoo. I was pretty nervous going into the actual tattoo session without having seen the final design beforehand but it exceeded all of my expectations. I would definitely recommend the shop to anyone looking for quality work. I am super appreciative to the team for the art they have permanently etched into my flesh.
