Absolutely amazing! I got my first tattoo for my birthday and I couldnt be any happier! I was a little nervous coming in, but was quickly put to ease by the beautiful and very clean environment. My tattoo artist was Justin Birtcher and he was amazing! He had drawn up some ideas based on the photo I had sent in, and talked extensively with me about the process, placement and size, even going as far as providing physical drawings as reference. During the tattoo he was a great conversationalist and took his time to color match each detail as much as possible and even asked which colors I liked best so he could reuse them in the smaller details. He took his time and the line work and colors are absolutely perfect and it couldnt be any closer to what I asked for! I will definitely be back the next time I want a tattoo!

Blew the pic up to appreciate the finer detail work over the original work. Connor did a great job bringing the old tatt to life , .place was great and clean spot! Added before and after pics. Both when were new.

Completely blown away by today’s tattoo experience at Black Pines.This was a last minute consultation, hoping to squeeze in an appointment before they went to convention, and EVERYONE was so helpful. From the phone call to send me to FB messenger to get ideas and a rough quote, to the final experience at the shop.Alexis and Connor met us as soon as we got there and were nothing short of incredible.My daughter had decided on something different by the time we arrived, and Alexis was able to take her input and turn it into EXACTLY what my daughter wanted. She was so calm and patient with my daughter as she processed the whole “it might a bit”. Incredible.Connor immediately went to work on my tattoo idea, making sure to size/placement match with an existing tattoo. Very thorough and detailed oriented. My tattoo came out 1,000 times better than I could have ever hoped.We will DEFINITELY be going back!

Went there to get tattoos with my boyfriend, and was very impressed. Very professional and relaxing environment, and both Alexis and Conner did great work! Very crisp, clean lines. I have gotten two tattoos here, very clean shop with talented tattoo artists. Both Justin and Connor are awesome at American traditional , so I would definitely go to them for that style. All around 10/10 experience

Edit: So I need to update this to just report how continuously awesome these guys are. After I posted my original review my husband and I both participated in the Halloween flash event in 2022 (fun!!) and then both he and I had more custom work done by Alexis (Im adding the pictures here). This is the cleanest, most professional, and most talented shop around.Original review: Absolutely amazing shop, super clean and professional. So glad I dont have to drive to a big city for this! The last time I saw a shop this good was when I lived in Seattle. I was back here in April and Lexi did an amazing job on my forearm, and now Im back today for their Halloween flash day. I will 100% be coming back for future pieces, its worth the 3 hour drive for me.

First and foremost, the most professional and humble staff of artist I have ever encountered. The atmosphere is very modern and sleek. But the artistry… that is where the beauty is. Lyndsay is who did my pieces. She is the only one I would trust with the idea of a memorial piece. I told her what I wanted and let her creativity do the rest. The final look once it was all done left me speechless, entranced, and in tears… all in a good way. All the artist there checked on me throughout my session. I saw others having work done and even the clientele were down to earth. You don’t find a lot of Southern Hospitality these days. But it is alive and well at this gallery. I got the opportunity to sit and listen to the artist talk about traveling and expanding their knowledge of the trade… and that was very eye-opening. I will never go anywhere else so long as Black Pines is in business. I would say it’s a 10/10, not just 5 stars.

Honestly one of the best tattoo experiences ever. The studio is bright and modern and the everyone is extremely friendly including the clients themselves. Weve seen the other artists work through Instagram, and its clear every person here has talent and great styles. You get the best treatment here as well. I loved several things about Black Pines. Everyone there is friendly, the studio is clean, and they have a good eye for detail. Lyndsay was my tattoo artist. She was very professional during my session and took the time to explain what to expect during my session and the care of my tattoo. While I was there, I bought some of the merchandise they had on display. The quality of the merchandise is really nice! I will be going back.

When I first came into the building it was very clean and sanitized! The bathrooms are super clean! We were greeted graciously and I was taken to the room right away! The staff was super friendly! Exactly how you would want to experience a modern ink studio. Very clean and focused on the work being done. Everyone is talented and welcoming. We enjoyed spending a few hours with Lexi talking about movies and the chaos of existence. My only suggestion would for front of house. Make sure youre subnetting IOT devices and linking the QR code to a guest network. Also increase your password complexity. 😉
