We made an appointment with Brent because my 13yo wanted his ears pierced..Brent was so great. He has a very gentle demeanor and kind disposition. He took his time helping my son to pick out earrings and to be sure about the placement of the piercings. If anyone else in my family needs piercings well be back and ask for Brent.

Got my nose pierced her and it was awesome. Booking the appointment is super easy and everyone who answered the phone made it so easy.When I got the piercing Brent gave me time to gather myself and made sure that I was okay before I got up to pay. I followed him to the counter and passed out AS I was tapping to pay.My girlfriend told me that Brent reached OVER THE COUNTER and grabbed me as I passed out and gave her just enough time to realize what was going on.Thank you Brent and thank you Uprise. Brent pierced my daughter’s ears when she was 8 and now again for double piercings at 11. They look perfect. Brent also did a great job explaining everything and answering all of our questions. Everything looked very clean and and it was overall a nice atmosphere.

Very professional and CLEAN. I called ahead to ensure availability because its by appointment only. You can do this over the phone or go on their website and make your appmnt.I wanted a piercing so I went with Riley. She was very sweet, and professional. She started off by checking my anatomy first to make sure my piercing would even be successful.After that was established, I signed their waiver information and went over the process.You pick your jewelry there. Many options for sizing and style.She sterilized the equipment she was going to use and changed gloves multiple times. (Nice!)We did the piercing and talked about after care, and she made a followup appmnt with me to down size my jewelry after swelling went down and to check how its healing (loved that)I was sent an email with all after care instructions as well. They take cash or credit , can also tip if you use a card.Everything took 37 minutes from start to finish and walking out the door.Very good experience - would recommend.

I got my ear pierced by rylie a month ago and it was an amazing experience. she talked me through every part of it, especially when i couldn’t see what she was doing. the second anything from a tool to a pad of gauze (or whatever they use) she told me exactly what it did and why she was using it which really helped calm me. ive has issues in the past with the first month of healing but have had no problems at all with this one. will be going back for more.update: i got another piercing by brent about a year ago i forgot to mention and in messing with it i ended up really irritating the piercing. i walked in and within minutes was seen and had it taken care of, jewelry switched out, advice for the future, and then i was on my way. i had two extra of his cards so i gave them to friends when recommending this place

My daughter had an issue with her ear piercing while we were in town visiting family and the piercer took the time to help us free of charge. She let my daughter make the decisions for herself and was very kind.

We recently came in to have our 5 year old daughters ears pierced. Rylie had a consultation with us a few days before to help make our daughter feel comfortable, answer any of her questions, and show her around. On the day of the piercing, Rylie introduced her to Brent for the tandem piercing, which is what we wanted. Both Rylie and Brent were absolutely amazing! They went slowly, explained to her everything they were doing, were kind, sweet, and patient. They were so professional. The shop as a whole was extremely clean, which is pretty important. We could not have been any happier with our experience. If you are looking for piercings, I highly recommend contacting Rylie and Brent!

I had a great experience getting my tattoo at Uprise tatto, Franco did an amazing job, even better than expected. The attention to detail was above and beyond. You won’t go wrong using them for your next tattoo.

The shop is clean and very well maintained, and the staff is very friendly. Very fairly priced for the quality of the service. I got my tongue pierced by Brent, and he is amazing— Super patient, knowledgeable, and let me ease my anxiety by asking a million questions and generally being talented in his craft… I barely even felt him pierce me, it was so smooth! He gave me his card, and quickly responded to an emailed question I had, even calling back to follow up. 10/10 experience, and will definitely go back for later piercings.

Uriel is such a gem and an amazing artist. My best friend and I wanted friendship tattoos and he got us in and entertained our dumb idea. He was so friendly, extremely professional, and made my best friend comfortable during the experience. I wish I had more time in Illinois, as his larger pieces look beautiful. Ill absolutely be coming back to get some more work by him when Im back in town ❤️

This was my second visit to UpRise for piercings, and I once again left very happy with the service I received. Both Brent and Riley are wonderful piercers - they’re very thorough, and are sure to address any concerns or questions you have. They clearly care that your piercing heals properly. The studio has a great jewelry selection and is very clean.

I needed help with a tragus piercing and Rylie was extremely helpful. I love my new piece, and I will be coming back for more quality jewelry very soon!

*** Its been 7 months and Im updating my review. After healing and starting to change out earrings, it seems as though the Piercer pierced my ears in a slight downward trajectory. When I put earrings in I have to tilt them down and search for the exit hole in the back of my lobe. Also the Piercer did not use the previous place where I was pierced as an infant so now I have a scar there next to my new piercing and it looks so bad when the earrings are removed. I hate everything about it. I can not recommend this place for piercing at all. Totally botched job. ***The overall business is just ok. Wish it smelled like sanitizer but it smelled like bud. Booking an appointment is harder than it needs to be. Who doesnt have online booking in 2023? Very limited selection of jewelry. Staff is professional but not friendly.

John Sundara is the guy to go to, he’s so nice and is a great artist. He created a beautiful piece of art to cover an old tattoo that I hated. The whole experience was wonderful, I’ll be back for sure!

My daughter got her nose peirced this afternoon. Brent was absolutely amazing with her. He was patient with answering my questions, he encouraged her to think about her decision. He walked her through cleaning procedures, process and overall made us feel comfortable. Brent did thr piercing and she did not even flinch and she said no pain. Very professional and personable. Highly recommend him for any one getting a piercing and especially those getting a piercing for the first time.

I had a nostril piercing on Saturday with Rylie. I was able to schedule my appointment online and had a confirmation in my email about 20 minutes after the request. They suggest an app to track the appointment, but I just relied on emails. I confirmed on the day and then received a reminder email. Rylie took their time showing me the jewelry options and made sure i was aware of what my final balance was going to be before we got started. They also thoroughly explained what to expect during the piercing process and answered all of my questions about recovery and what to be aware of. They marked the spot for the piercing and let me decide if it was good and let me know I had the option to change before we got started. They encourage their clients to take a deep breath in and out while getting pierced, but asked for my consent before encouraging me to do so. The piercing was relatively quick and they talked me through each step so that I knew if I would be feeling pressure verses a stinging sensation. They ended by explaining what to expect and how to eventually change out the post for the hoop I want. I highly recommend Rylie and UpRise. I live about two hours downstate and absolutely think its worth the drive.

Went as a weekend walk-in and am very happy with how my tattoo came out. My artist, Franco, did such a great job & was very thorough. We had a great talk about video games and the whole process was 10/10.

We had the best experience at UpRise! Brent pierced my 10 year old daughters ears, and we could not have asked for a better experience. Because of her anxiety, he recommended that we come in ahead of time to meet him, ask questions, see the shop, etc. He was so kind and understanding and put her right at ease. This helped so much and made her feel so comfortable when we went back for the actual piercing. Brent did a fantastic job and made sure she was ready and comfortable every step of the way. If I could leave a million star review I would! Riley truly gave me the most amazing experience getting my piercings! I was so nervous walking in but as soon as we got to talking I became so comfortable. I wasn’t getting the most gentle piercing but she was gentle and knowledgeable that I felt like I was in the best hands possible and I was! If you are debating a piercing go see her she knows what she is doing and helps you kinda become ok with the pain that comes with piercing! Also The shop was super clean and super cool!

My 9 year old daughter got her ears pierced by Rylie and it was such an easy experience. She made sure my daughter was comfortable and at ease every step of the way, and assured her she would stop at any point if my daughter asked. Rylie explained every step and spoke directly to my daughter (which I find very helpful/appropriate). She answered every question my daughter came up with and was just a pleasure to work with. Love this place! It’s so clean and high class inside, great atmosphere with friendly staff! I’ve had multiple piercings done by Brent that all healed really nice, he even went out of his way to make my nose ring fit the shape of my nostril better.

Uprise is a beautiful and clean studio, and everyone is very friendly. If you ever have any piercing needs, Brent is wonderful! Brent is the best piercer! He’s done multiple of mine (conch, nose, cartilage & industrial) - almost 5 years ago now! Very knowledgeable, all my piercings healed perfectly & he made the experience awesome. Specifically - I came to Brent to get an industrial, when other piercers told me they couldn’t do it (I don’t have a lot of fold in my ear), Brent ordered me a smaller bar that would fit my ear & gave me the piercing of my dreams! I got a double nose piercing by Brent and have been back to see him 3 times and each time the experience has been great! The location and his space is always clean. Brent is very knowledgeable, patient, and easy to talk to. Some places can be intimidating but he makes you feel at ease and lets you ask all the question you want. Rylie is a fantastic piercer. I have gone to see them several times in the past for various piercings as well as jewelry changes and every time I am made to feel at ease and completely comfortable with the skill level they possess. 110% recommend. Cleanliness is also great with framed certificates showing up-to-date training from the APP.

I’ve gotten my nose pierced on each side by Brent at Uprise, and both times had a great experience! Brent is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and friendly. Brent was even more than I could have asked for with my 10 year olds ear piercing! He was calm and informative and so comforting during the whole experience. I went here thinking it was a high end fantastic tattoo salon, however I was gravely disappointed! Besides being triple the normal price for a tattoo, our tattoos by Nano, need some serious touch up. I have tried multiple times to reach out to the owner, one response with zero follow up. Extremely dissatisfied and would not recommend this shop!

I had my Daith pieced by Rylie, she was great. She explained everything that she was doing. Four days later the pain was horrible from my piercing, I was able to make an appointment with Brent the other piercer; to get earring removed. He explained that sometimes an ear doesn’t react right away, could be weeks later. Brent removed my earring with no pain. If I ever get another piercing I am going to Uprise Tattoo. They were wonderful to work with.

I came to Uprise today for the first time. I had an appointment with Rylie and got a tragus piercing. Let me tell you Rylie did an amazing job. Everything was extremely clean and sterile. The shop is wonderful, comfortable, and friendly. Rylie walks you through the entire process step by step and does whatever to make sure you feel comfortable and ready. She is so sweet, nice, and funny, which made the experience all the better. Very minimal pain and it looks fantastic. Wonderful jewelry selection as well. Brent was fantastic as always! Got my double helix piercing done in March and it’s healed so beautifully! He is my go to piercer. I’ve had all my piercings done by him from my tongue, to my nipples, to my double helix! He is always clean and very informative about after care and all that good stuff. Recently got some work done by Martin Garza at UpRise. The shop is very clean, friendly faces throughout. Excellent customer service from start to finish. Individual rooms as opposed to open bay style makes it extra comfortable. TV’s throughout to watch while you get worked on. Each artists room has unique artwork and artifacts to admire and adds their personal touch to the setting. Very boutique and chill with good music throughout. Plenty of parking and laid back ambiance. Awesome layout as soon as you walk in the front door. 100% satisfied with my tattoo by Martin, thank you! Appreciate your time and talent. I’ll be back soon for the next piece!

If you want to get piercings I recommend Rylie is sooo good, she has done about 8 of my piercings and has done my 2 of my in-laws piercings. She is very sweet and made us super comfortable when we first dropped in. We plan to get more in the future

Rylie is meticulous af!!! I knew I could only go to Rylie when they helped me with getting the proper jewelry for my nipple piercings after a bad experience with another shop putting curved barbels in to “help the healing process” and my body didn’t like that very much. Rylie was incredibly professional, made me feel comfortable and assured me we wouldn’t have the same issues with a shorter straight barbel and non pronged ends. Since then (maybe a year and a half) I’ve had no issues and returned to get a vertical labret that I’m in love with!!

Rylie was so nice and a life saver! She showed me all the options I could get for a jewelry change on my nose piercing and she gave me a lot of information on the unfortunate bump I have formed on my piercing due to trauma on it but now hopefully with my new big flat back piece it will go down! I love Rylie!! She is super sweet and patient, all around they have very positive energy. Willing (and happy) to answer any and all questions, very thorough when explaining different options when it comes to jewelry, piercing placements, piercings themselves, etc. They’re always willing to help me “troubleshoot” older piercings I got from other shops. She always explains every step that she’s doing during the piercing process. They’re also really good with showing markings on you before piercing, and checks up on you in between piercings if you’re getting multiple. The shop itself is incredibly clean and sterile with private rooms. Rylie also practices top notch sanitation measures before, during, and after each piercing. 11/10 would recommend if you’re looking for a piercer in the area!

Walked in a couple weeks ago and was greeted right away. The shop was exceptionally clean and looked real nice. I worked with Uriel who was very friendly. I gave him an idea of what I wanted we set up an appointment for the following week. The next week I came in and loved the design he came up with. Everything went really chill and smooth. This one was real special to me and he did a great job! I will definitely be working with Uriel again on the next one.

I was able to get in very easily here on a Saturday night when a lot of other places were fully booked. Chris did a great job with my tattoo and a tattoo for my husband. It is expensive compared to other places I have been. I knew the price before I got the tattoo so that wasnt a problem for me but this price point is not for everyone.

Brent was amazing! Brought in my daughter for an ear lobe piercing. Had one done a couple years ago at a mall (dumb) and of course they had been infected. Waited a couple years and decided to go to a piercing professional.Brent took the time to answer ALL my daughters questions, showed us all the equipment and walked us through step by step. And he was SO patient and very kind. He didn’t pierce until she gave the okay. And she said it hurt way less than the mall. Totally worth the $$. You pay for cheap piercings, you’ll get a cheap piercing. Save a step - come see Brent.

Easily #1 piercer is at Uprise Tattoo. He has the degree to back it, the cleanliness is beyond perfect, its number 1 when it came to looking for the perfect person. Customer service is the best since the moment you walk in to the door till you walk out answers all questions if its your first time or not. Makes you feel at ease, for me this was my number 2 thing I looked for as a person who models I wanted not just an artist but someone who made it the lease painless. As I have now received 5 piercing from Brent I wont go anywhere else even when I have to get on a plane or drive 6 hours as Im not local at all. I went in today to get a navel piercing from Brent. I walked out without a piercing but I am not upset. After my consultation. Brent explained that due to a recent surgery and scar tissue I was not a good candidate for a navel piercing. He went into great detail. Thank you for taking the time to explain. I went in today and got a few piercings done by Rylie and she was amazing! She talked me through the pricing of everything, the process of each piercing and was just so kind, patient and professional. The room and the entire process was extremely sterile and I would without a doubt recommend this place/Rylie to anyone looking to get a piercing!

Overall this place is so comfortable I love it, they make sure you’re 100% satisfied!I went in for a forward helix piercing, and a ring change for my nose piercing that was already pierced. I want to say thanks to Brent for being extra careful and cleanliness with the process, he also used a sterilizer to clean my earring and my nose ring before putting it in. I would highly recommend coming here to get your piercings!

I got a piercing by Brett and he is THE BEST PIERCER I’ve ever had. Super clean, professional and made sure to let me know he is available by instagram/email if I ever have a question. I’ve been going to Brendan for going on 8 years now working on my sleeve. After I got my first piece by him (an anchor with a Chicago flagged around it. Symbolizing that no matter where I end up, I’m always anchored back to my home town) all I ever heard from other people was about how amazing the piece was, how bold and smooth the lines were, and how deep and rich the color was. After that first piece, I knew I found my life long tattoo artist.When work dragged me 3500 miles across the country, the work on my sleeve had to slow dramatically. I still made it a point that every time I came home to visit, I stopped by the shop to hangout and get work done. I’ve traveled across North America and backpacked a lot of European countries - and I’ve been asked the same thing in every country.. “Where did you get your work done.” Years later, these tattoos have never faded, allowing me to tell my stories through my skin - and I thank Brendan for being able to put my thoughts and experiences into art.We’ve since become friends, keeping up with each others lives, work, and family. Came in to get two piercings, one on each earlobe, after doing a google search for piercing shops in or near Naperville. After going over their instagram to see prior work i reached out for a quote and the price seemed good so I made an appointment with Brent. The experience was phenomenal from my arrival up until my exit. Brent is very knowledgeable and finished my piercings quickly after lining them up and having me approve of the spacing. I have a high tolerance for pain so I barely felt anything but his procedure is great and kind of helps keep your mind off of the fact that someone is sticking a needle into your ear. The shop itself is very clean and doesnt smell like smoke like most tattoo shops often do. Overall I will be back if I ever need another piercing/tattoo. I recommend this shop.

Went for piercing with, Brent. Right now he is by appointment, and they are easily set up via email. Brent, respond quickly, hes efficient and very responsive to any questions or concerns. I even had some last minute appointment changes and he was gracious about it. When the time came to get pierced, I was so happy to find him as kind and respectful in person as over email. He kept me informed durring the whole process of piercing, sterilization, jewelry choices, & worked in my budget. He even held a up a conversation with me, and to the time to make sure I felt good about every step in the process, while getting everything done. I was so happy in the end, I still am. I have plans to get more piercing done with Brent in the future. You will not be disappointed in this shop.Be aware you may have to park at the McDonalds parking lot, or behind it, but its so close it doesnt impact the experience.

Brent is an exceptional piercer and my experiences with him have been unparalleled. He pierced my septum and my nostril and also has done several piercings for a lot of my friends. He is incredibly hygienic and professional, gives you lots of information about every step throughout the whole process and will answer any questions or concerns you have with his seemingly endless knowledge of piercing and care. He is also very precise and as gentle as one can be when they’re sticking metal through your body. Minimal pain and very clean and easy healing afterwards. He used to work at a shop 20 minutes from me but when I wanted another piercing I drove an hour to his new location without hesitation because I will literally not go to anyone else. 20/10, I recommend him to everyone every time.The shop is also very clean and professional. Hes beyond knowledgeable and passionate about piercings - He will tell you honestly if a piercing wont do well with your anatomy and doesnt mind being creative doing unique piercings or ordering custom jewelry to make your dream piercings happen. Every piercing Ive gotten from him has had no trouble healing and hes very thorough when explaining aftercare. He has his certifications displayed in the open so you can feel confident he knows what hes doing not just from experience but from constant learning and relearning. Overpriced!!! i got my tattoo from them about a year ago, i forgot by who but they charged me over $600 for this which is crazy. no shading had to be done and it was abt a 35 minute session so why that much?? he also said it’s because it’s a “difficult spot to tattoo” i’ve never heard that phrase from someone who knows what they’re doing. i’m getting into tattooing as a career and know very well it’s not and this should’ve been 250 at MOST. at the time i really wanted it, had the money, and all the other shops were booked. they did a good job though. but don’t rip off ur customers. which is why i’ve never gone back since

This shop is awesome! Super clean, relaxing, and just plain dope. Every artist has their own private room with a TV! Couldnt ask for better experience while getting a tattoo. The artist are second to none as well. Have two full sleeves from Beto. He is one of the best black and shading artist Ive seen in Chicago by far. I wouldnt think to ever go anywhere else. My boyfriend scheduled an appointment on Friday to have us tattooed on Saturday he spoke with George and he was very accommodating to fit us in late Saturday night. They made us feel comfortable from the minute we walked in all the way through the whole experience. The place is very clean and George did an amazing job and we both would highly recommend him.

Using my bf’s account because I don’t have my own, but I wanted to leave a review for Brent. He pierced my nose about 4 years ago and my tragus a couple months ago. All 3 piercings turned out great. Ive wanted it fixed since the day I got it unfortunately. After viewing website/artist portfolios, I completed the inquiry form online to request a consult. Website estimated a 10 day call back. Left vm at shop. Surprisingly I was called back after 2 days! They got my vm :) [Then maybe almost 2 weeks or more later, 1 of the artists emailed me back about my online request and was apologetic about the timing...not knowing I already had my tatt at that point lol] So when we initially connected over the phone, I was asked if I had a specific artist in mind--I didnt. They all had what I was looking for so I was ok with whoever was available. I was scheduled within the week w Uriel. Walked into an extremely clean shop. Uriel brought me to his area-which had an awesome vibe. Painted floor to ceiling in art and his own touch. [Each artists room was awesome] Music playing. Cozy vibes. Clean. Most importantly, he took the time to listen to me: What I wanted in the tatt from the beginning, what I felt went wrong, what I did/didnt like about it, what I wanted now. I truly wanted my original idea, but done right...and thought it was going to be a huge cover up, losing my original completely. Uriel was very professional. He asked if he may draw directly on my skin, his ideas and go from there. After just 10minsish he presented his vision. I was soo happy! He was able to salvage my tatt and make it everything I wanted. Since I decided to go with his work, I scheduled myself within the week to return. He estimated 4hours and a price quote. It was fair and well worth his talent. Fast forward- I returned, he was still the same professional, talked down the few nerves I had, directed me where to sit and then explained everything he was about to do. Showed me all instruments and ink table and asked me what music Id like to hear 🤙Then we began. He was confident and gentle. Talked if I wanted to and/or was quiet and not awkward when I didnt. Ultimately took less time than expected and he adjusted his cost based on that and the fact he could use my original base. Now, I LOVEe my tatt!! Ready to build more around it. Will go back here, for sure!

It was my first tattoo and Jenna was incredibly patient through my indecision during the design process and came up with an incredible design.The shop is very clean and the other artists very friendly and professional. Great place! My mom and I got matching tattoos and Nano was our artist. Such a cool guy who made us feel so comfortable and so sweet. My mom has never gotten a tattoo and explained everything to us. His outline work is great. Great artist. Oh and they also have flat screen TVs in all the rooms with Netflix available which I found super convenient and thoughtful.

If I could leave this place a 0 I would. Brendan Heneghan charged my brother $450 for a tattoo that took him 45 min to do on my brothers forearm. A cross with our younger brothers name on it who passed away unexpectedly 2.5 months ago. I am furious that someone could be so cold hearted and take advantage of my brother like that. We just lost our younger brother and his 18th birthday is in 3 days and this happens.... not to mention UpRise did not make a copy of my brothers drivers license, gave him no forms to fill out, and no receipt. I highly suggest getting any tattoo you think may want done somewhere else or at least another artist.

Super great place. The place is modern unlike most tattoo parlors and the people are super professional. Only down side is the prices are expensive- but im okay with it for the environment I was in. Brent the piercer was super nice and was super detailed about explaining and through on piercing placement and after care.

I went in for a quick consult with George. It was a spur of moment decision. I left a $100 dollar deposit which I have yet to get back. After thinking about what I wanted to do I decided that it woild have been a dumb thing to do so I changed my mind. I texted and reached out to him numerous times with not a single response from him. I even mentioned to him that I would come and get something different. This is not professional to keep someones money without a service provided. Just be careful when you leave a deposit with this place and change your mind.

Was tattooed by George, and there isnt a bad thing I can say. He was professional, and made me feel very comfortable. His work is outstanding, and he really cares about you and how you are doing while he is working.

Super happy with the quality of my tattoo, and my artist George was legit. Id have given it 5-stars, but I feel the price was way steep--especially after adding in the tip. For three signatures on my leg, which were already written with Sharpie, I was charged $150. I have paid less for larger, super-detailed, multicolored, and equally high-quality pieces. Of the 6 or so tattoo shops in the area that Ive been tattooed at, this is the most expensive one.That said, I can recommend this shop and George as an artist. Just be sure to ask for a quote in advance so youre not blindsided like I was! (My own mistake, I know.)

Currently visiting John Sundara for a multi session 3/4 sleeve. Personally Im glad I ultimately chose John for my work as he is at a point in his career where he can be creative, laid back, and still maintains top notch professionalism. He was straight forward about the parts of my idea that he loved and parts he wasnt so keep on. ANY artist in the area could do exactly what I asked, Im paying for him to give me a timeless piece and am glad Im listening to his advice.If you want a good piece please research artist in your area who specialize in what youre seeking. Ill prob have a conversation with Nano about some lettering as that seems to be a niche hes good at for instance.

I’ve had work done by Tony Uno in the past and he is a fantastic artist. That makes the customer service at this shop disappointing to say the least. I dropped a photo off with Tony and he told me I would hear from him that night. That was 3 months ago. Every time I call they take my information and tell me that I will be called back. I have never heard from anyone. At this point I just want to take back the photo of my deceased father but it’s hard to believe that would happen if I can’t even get someone to return a phone call.

This shop is the next generation of tattoo shops. Blown away by how well they modeled the place. Comfortable atmosphere. Everyone has their own room AND TV. Amazing work done on the shop. Almost as amazing as the artists. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

The facility is beautiful and spotless. George did my cover up (6 hours!) and was awesome! I highly recommend this staff and location. Very talented and down to earth artists!!
