Cedar Valley Tattoo & Piercing Studio

I met with John today about placing some items that many people might like to see, use & possibly purchase. His studio is clean, comfortable seating, nicely decorated, interesting and John himself is also very interesting & intelligent. He and I share a lot of the same things in common. Thank you taking the time to meet with me, I really appreciate it.

Spider is one of the best tattooists in town! He did a portrait of ALF on my forearm. Spider is incredibly kind, easy to be with and is an instant calm vibe. Cedar Valley Tattoo and Piercing is a very chill, relaxed, comfortable environment. I completely recommend this business. I prefer going here at Cedar Valley Tattoo and Piercing even though Ive had art done all over the Cedar Valley. They are wonderful with every walk of life. You wont regret it!

Spider is the absolute best tattoo artist and piercer. I sent him a picture of a tattoo idea I had and he executed what I pictured perfectly. I’ve also had my nipples pierced by him and for such a sensitive spot he made it almost painless. He is super friendly along with everyone else in the shop and will never fail to impress you. I plan to get all of my tattoos and piercings done from him in the future as should you.

John aka Spider is one of the most down to earth people. He will give his opinion but will do what you want. He cares about his clients. I trust him not only doing tattoos on me but my kids as well.

I have been extremely happy with Spider’s work! I love how vibrant the colors are on my finished tattoos! I have gone to others and they have been sub par in comparison!

Me and my sister called everywhere in Waterloo for a walk-in appointment and this was the only place that had appointments available which was really awesome! When we came in, they didn’t have us waiting long at all. My sister got a tattoo down her spine & Leon did it for her. He did an amazing job. He was professional and made us feel very comfortable while he was working. Once he was done with her tattoo I had him do a nose piercing on me and I was nervous, but he made sure I was comfortable before doing the piercing and made sure it matched the piercing on my other nostril perfect. I will definitely be using their services again!

Working with Spider has been is my best tattoo experience so far. I recently commissioned a half sleeve tattoo with spider and it couldn’t have gone any better. They not only incorporated my ideas and inspirations but also added original elements to make it a genuine piece of art. The experience was also very comfortable and the parlor is very strict about hygiene and following COVID protocols. Getting a tattoo by definition is a painful process but the people at Cedar Valley made it as comfortable as possible and the end result was amazing!!!

I have been to just about every shop that was in the area for tattoos, and once I gave spider a try I can tell you that I have had every piece since done by him including some piercings! If you are questioning if you should give him a shot or not, do it! He is fantastic to talk to, keeps the mood during the whole session lively and the work he does is phenomenal! Absolutely someone I trust and will continue to go back to.

I have known about spider for years, however I just started going to him for my tattoos last summer and to say the least spider is my favorite artist I’ve gone to yet. Not only do I love the pieces I’ve gotten but he also makes conversation with you and gets to know you while your in the chair. I linked some pics of my tattoos that he did. 10/10 recommend🙂

I’ve gotten a tattoo and nipple piercings at Cedar Valley Tattoo and Piercing and Spider did a fabulous job! When I had concerns about my after care of the piercings he helped me out. He was very informative and he knows his stuff. Their shop is very clean and sterilized. Would recommend to anyone!

I would like to start off that cedar valley tattoo and piercing is the most professional and clean tattoo shop that I have been too, and I’ve been to multiple. Spider is a so gentle handed when it comes to tattoos and I refuse to go anywhere else, he’s also extremely soft handed when it comes to piercings and does them fast and efficient. His prices are amazing and his work is phenomenal, if there’s anywhere I would recommend for tattoos and piercings it’s here!

Spider does amazing work! Both with tattoos and piercings. He’s done my 3 tattoos as well as an industrial piercing more recently. He does work on a lot of my husbands family and I wouldn’t trust anyone else! Piercings he talks you thru every step before he does it. His shop is very clean too!

Spider is the best in the cedar valley…. Ive had a handful of piercings including my favorite one “snake eyes”! I recently came to him with a tattoo design i had in my head, he understood each important detail to my idea and made it a masterpiece! Comfortable atmosphere, very accommodating to the client, best prices around, with prompt scheduling.

Hands down friendliest people in the cedar valley! Spider is a fantastic artist and talented piercer. He even does quite exotic piercings. 100% recommend stopping in and saying hi and check out their art!

The girlfriend got her cheeks and septum pierced and was so happy that she got me a septum piercing for a gift. When it was getting done there was casual conversation to relax you and it was done before I realized it. Didn’t even feel it happening. Great work I’ll always send folks here.

John is a whole vibe 💖 He’s done multiple tattoos for me. A thigh tattoo, cover up and coy fish. He’s also done a dermal for me which healed beautifully and I would go back and get a million more tattoos and piercings if I could. Everything is clean and sterile.. I never felt rushed or left disappointed. It’s like a mini vacay going to see Spider.

They are a great place to get a tattoo. They are very friendly. They make sure to make the tattoo what you want. I had 2 chest tattoos done and they are still bright as they were just done. I have told all my friends to come here to have it done.

I’ve been here over and over again to get my piercings because it’s such a great service. I ask for a count down before the actual piercing and it’s done every time to help me stay calm. One time I felt light headed and I was taken care of with great care. Definitely a great place to get piercings.

Spider has done three tattoos and an implant removal for me. His prices are great, his office is sterile, and his attitude is both humorous and professional. I have a phobia of needles and he has been very great with my anxiety, and the work hes done for me has been beautiful even though I didnt give him much direction. I couldnt recommend a better shop in the corridor. Always worth the long drive from CR!

I was thinking about getting a new piercing. So I looked around and talked to each studio. I ended up with the man I trust slinging ink into my skin. My main man Spider told him what I was thinking and made my appointment. For Tuesday at 2ish I arrived early it was calm and peaceful. You was treated like part of the family as your filling out your paperwork. Spider asked for me to hang out for a min while he got things set up. Once he was ready boom. We got everything lined u and ready. In is calming voice he tells you to breathe and then hold bam. The needle was threw and steady breathing and joking the whole time. Think total time there was 30 mins with great prices. Most defiantly coming back for all my ink and piercing needs. 10 out of 10

Ive gotten many tattoos and piercings here. Spider is amazing at what he does and I wont go to anyone else for my body modifications. Just as a reference for what hes done so far.... Ive gotten double nostril piercings, a conch, a daith, a tongue piercing, a VCH and two forward helixes.... and those are just the piercings. Ive gotten a total of two cover-up tattoos (one large that he designed and one medium sized that we designed together) and four additional original tattoos (one very large thigh tattoo- in progress and his original artwork, a wrist tattoo of my design, a memorial ribbon, and a rib tattoo of his original artwork).

I absolutely love Spiders work and wont let anyone else touch me. Hes done 5 of my tattoos and I get so manycompliments from peoplewhenever they see them.

I got a left daith piercing a while back to relieve migraines. Initially I had stopped at a different piercing shop and they told me that i didn’t have the anatomy for the piercing. I left in order to seek a second opinion and ended up here. John affirmed that I actually did have fine anatomy for it, and I was relieved because these migraines are often debilitating. I have also heard that the daith piercing is one of the most painful that you can get and that wasn’t the case for me. I was walked through the procedure, the artist was patient and confident and efficient all while keeping everything clean and sterile. Virtually painless piercing and healed easily and quickly contrary to being told it could take months. Great experience and I hope to return for some piercings maybe some tats too.

Came in really nervous to get my medusa done but ended up feeling really comfortable and not so nervous after talking to spider!! he did great.

I do not go anywhere else for tattoos anymore the one time I did I regret it and had to have spider fix it I will drive an hour an a half away and spend the whole day down there just to get in with spider for my tattoos and its always such a fun atmosphere he is the most talented artist LOVE YOU SPIDER

I scheduled an appointment 2 weeks in advance, I called the morning of to confirm and found out my tattoo artist broke his hand a few days ago and was not able to work for several weeks. I did not make a follow up appointment. I hope dude recovers soon but at the very least a courtesy call would have been nice.

Honestly it was my first time getting a piercing and, lets just say Im very glad I went to this place. I was very nervous at first but, the piercing was way less painful than I expected, afterwards I was pale and dizzy, and the piercer spider had me stay laying down so that I was alright which was very thoughtful and appreciated.

Got my septum pierced and its healing much better than the last piercing I got from another piercing shop. The guy who did my piercing was very funny, yet professional, and super nice. I loved his tattoos

A week or so but when I went back he had the girl at the front seat so it because he was out sick he didn’t warn me before she started to change my Ashley labret she told me she didn’t really know what she was doing so that made me nervous… then she clamped my lip!! I had to put the old one back In because she couldn’t… so I just left i then messaged him later and he blocked me because I told him I wish he would’ve let me know….

Prices are different than shown on here. They are all $50. Friend got her bellybutton pierced and the guy just did it with his hands. Did us an other instrument other than the needle he was piercing with.

It’s dirty in there for one then I call 2 weeks before I get there and the day of just to confirm a piercer was there. They wait till I get there to actually tell me the equipment wasn’t there! Totally unprofessional! Plus they don’t accept credit or debit only cash!

Got my septum pierced twice and both times crooked. Had to take it out because it couldn’t be hidden like I asked for my job.
