I’m so glad Josh moved here to Watervliet. He has giving me some of the best memories in the chair that I’ve ever had. Always treats his customers right and stands by his work. He keeps his place in order and all about being safe and clean. I have recommended him to multiple people and will continue to do so. As long as I have skin available to cover he will be doing it.

Big Jay is very professional. I have one tattoo, my daughter has 6, and my Husband has 12 all done by Big Jay. His shop is clean and he’s great about getting your tattoo done in a timely fashion. No 6 months waiting list.

Awesome tattoo Artist and very Experienced. Big J is an amazing tattoo artist, me and my Wife both have had him do our tattoos and would definitely recommend him to everyone. I have had my whole arm sleeved and the quality of his art is worth way more than he priced. Still going to him for my tattoos and will always continue too.

Stopped in to get a piercing and set up a tattoo appointment, the piercing was quick and easy! Everything was clean and sanitized. Went to set up a tattoo appointment for my hand and there was a cancellation so I got in right away! Big J and his staff were great to work with and being a first time customer, they made me feel very relaxed and comfortable. Would definitely recommend!

Big J tattoos is an awesome addition to Coloma Michigan! Personally I have not had a tattoo done yet however he has done some vinyl work for me and it turned out 2000 times better than I ever could have imagined! He helped make a birthday present for my husband and it turned out absolutely amazing! If you need a tattoo or vinyl signs made or really anything I would check with him first. Jay does quality work in a timely fashion and always has an upbeat positive attitude. He and his staff were a joy to work with ❤️

Got my tattoo done today and could not be more happy with the work that was done and the efficiency. They also got me in the same day I enquired about an appointment! Absolutely recommended from someone who got their first tattoo!

Josh is an amazing Artist. Hes done 3 cover ups and did each of my forearm tattoos. People dont even notice the old tattoos under either and they werent small either.

Big J is a high level artist. Definitely recommend him. Wish I knew how to post the picture of the cover up he just recently did for me. Definitely my go to guy for tattoos. He is a genius at work. He does mine and my wife’s ink. You want ink this is the guy. #BigJ#VividArts

My girlfriend and her friends went to this place a couple weeks back and they are all extremely disappointed with every piece of the experience. The dude was unsanitary, rude and all around just not good at tattooing. 20 years of bad tattooing it would appear. Lines and shading aren’t even close to what one would expect from a “professional”. When my girlfriend attempted to resolve the issue by getting a refund, he blocked her contact. So, bad reviews it is. Horrible service.

I’ve gotten work done here a few times and so has my husband and we absolutely love this place. He is a genius for the work he’s done to my husband and covering up some old work. I will definitely be returning for more and I definitely recommend!!!! Thanks J for my beautiful work I truly LOVE IT!!

I go there for different things. Today he just he sold me some jewelry I bought to help out a friend was fake, he was right. He has helped put in eyebrow piercing. Hes a good guy. He has done piercings on my daughter in law tatoos on me and my son hes a nice guy.

Me my husband and my brother got tattoos here the business was not very clean the floors and surfaces were dirty and and the equipment he used is not sanitary his gun wasnt covered with plastic and he smeared Vaseline from an open Vaseline container with no lid onto our tattoos my brother even got an infection from his tatto and had to go to the doctor........our tattoos didnt turn out great the lines were messy and honestly he just rushed all our tattos Im not impressed and wont be back and Id highly recommend everyone to save yourself money on a cover up and doctor visits and go elsewhere ! Ill be reporting this business to be investigated!

Awesome work and very professional.Very nice guy, makes you feel comfortable. Not only did he do one on my leg but also fixed some tattoos on my arm from another tattooist. Will definitely be back for more. I highly recommend him 👍

Went to this shop for a small cassette tattoo. Big J was the artist and owner of the shop. As you can see from the photo, it looks like a child drew it. The shop was not clean, and did not follow proper sanitizing techniques. Some examples are that the tattoo gun was not covered with plastic, and the artist randomly rubs a used, uncovered Men’s Speedstick on your tattoo area. He also used an uncovered jar of vaseline during the process. I am very displeased with my tattoo, and have already contacted another artist to cover it. Please heed my warning and find another artist.

I got an awesome tat, at a great price. Shop was clean and artist was gentle. A+ I will def be back for more!

Recently got a few piercings done. Love everything about them. The placement is spot on. Big J was very knowledgeable and friendly. I Will definitely be back. I encourage others to stop in for themselves and check it out.

Unsanitary shop and Big J is super rude! The girl at the front was very nice and did her best to be informative and sanitary but unfortunately doesn’t have the experience or the proper training from her mentor (Big J) that claims to have been doing this for 20 + years.

I came in without an appointment to buy a belly ring and ended up needing help replacing mine.. the guy was so nice and did a great job! he even realigned my piercing

I needed to get in ASAP to have a tragus ring taken out that had imbedded into my ear due to cheap jewelry. Called Big J because they were open on a Monday (a lot of places aren’t). He got me in with no problems, got the bad jewelry out and new sterile jewelry in! Super reasonably priced too! Thanks Big J I SOOO appreciate you!
