Meet live wire tattoo crew at the saratoga tattoo expo. I ended up talking with Bre about some work I was looking to get. She was able to fix a tattoo for me that day, I wanted to keep the current tattoo as it was a drawing I made for my mom. The original tattoo artist failed to make it look like the drawing I made, Bre was able to bring it back to life and very close to my drawing. Plus cover up the original artist bad job and made it better. I had such a great experience that day that I went back the last day of the expo with a rough draft of a tattoo to get done by her. They look great and cant wait to make my next appointment. Definitely going to next years expo too, they definitely made my first tattoo expo experience great and comfortable.

Live Wire Arts is a clean, friendly and professional shop. Gabrielle was amazing with her skill and unique design. All the staff are extremely gifted artists. I highly recommend this shop.

Emily is the best tattoo artist. I highly to recommend booking a session with her. It was my first tattoo and she made the experience very comfortable. I hope to be back soon 🙂🙂 She is extremely professional and her workspace is clean.

I’ve been going to Chris for years and he’s amazing! I have 8 different fine line tattoos (my back, legs & arms) and all are perfect & precise. His studio in west islip is clean and such a cool vibe, it is covered with artwork that shows Chris’s talent from the second you walk in and he always has great music playing too. All of my tattoos new and old still look great and I always get questions on them, when anyone asks who did them I always recommend going to see Chris!

Live Wire Arts is a wonderful clean tattoo shop. I had tattoos by BRE do all of my tattoos that I have on myself and I absolutely love them. This shop all the artists are friendly and willing to help you decide what you want on your body. I personally would recommend coming here if you want to feel comfortable and at home while getting inked up! Here’s a few pictures of my tiny tats!

This shop is great! I have a tattoo by Chris Mason who is an amazing artist and multiple tattoos from Mikey Fishhook. Hes tattooed friends and family and they all came out great. I personally love my tattoos and get complimented on them all the time. I especially recommend Mikey if youre looking for a tradistional style tattoo. His vision for it is one of my favorites and I will be going back to him to finish up my arm. All in all its a great shop and you cant go wrong with any of the artists.

This shop is super clean, has nice decor and the work spaces are also super clean. The employees are really nice. Chris is super nice, great artist, works with you to get your tattoo exactly how you want to be and then just makes it come to life. Mine is even better then I could ever imagine. Great price for the work and effort that he puts into it. All around a great shop, great people, great price. I cant to go back to get my sleeve finished up and more!!

I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone, Mikey is super friendly and extremely talented. He has done an amazing job on all my tattoos, he really takes his time to create something personable and different. He always seems to amaze me with what he comes up with. He really cares about what he does and its very evident every time I stop in for a new tattoo. Ive had multiple tattoos done here. Mikey Fishhook is probably one of the most creative guys Ive seen doing this. Hes covered 4 large pieces including a cover up and everyone has come out amazing. Chris and Tiffany are amazing artists themselves also. The shop itself is very laid back and welcoming. Mikey is very friendly and within 5 minutes of talking to him you feel like youve known him for years. I will never go anywhere else or to another artist ever.

I personally got my work done by Bre but everyone who works there is very nice and welcoming. Bre was absolutely amazing and I recommend her to anyone I know who is looking to get a tattoo. 10/10 experience!

Chris is amazing, I had a pretty bad tattoo on my wrist and t wanted it covered up, Ive been to so many Tattoo shops for the past eight months and couldnt find anyone that said they could do it. I was then referred to Chris the Owner of Live Wire from a friend of a friend. I met with Chris for a consultation and he looked at it and said sure I can fix that. Chris did the cover up free hand in less than an hour and I am thrilled with the results!. A Parsons graduate and an all around gifted Artist!!

Such a great shop! Tiffany is a very talented artist. Ive had a few tattoos done here and Im in love with each of them; I receive compliments very often about the artwork I have from this shop. No need to go anywhere else!

Mikey is fantastic! As a first timer, I was nervous and did not know what to expect. I went to him for both of my tattoos and he is incredibly patient!! I appreciate his creative twist to whatever references I bring him - they always come out better than I can imagine myself. I plan to go back to him for more work in the future!!

Found this place through a friend of mine. Chris did some work on me years before He opened this shop. Im so happy I reconnected. Having work done now. I have no need to find another shop, this is the place for me. Chris Mason is very professional and extremely talented. Very pleased with the work he has done so far. Looking foward to having more work done in the near future.

Tiffany has done several (probably half) of my tattoos and all very different from the next. Shes extremely talented and has a versatile eye for practically any style and thats why I keep giving her my business. Professional, friendly and personable all in the same mix and shes always enthusiastic to efficiently bang out a piece in a short amount of time. She works very hard on every hour. Shes even covered up half of my arm with a beautiful traditional piece that we designed together. Really love that I can bounce ideas off her and come up with something Im 300% always happy with. Well this is not necessarily a negative review of the shop itself more a very negative review of one of the artists at the shop namely Sam Castro. I had begun plans on a right sleeve tattoo some months ago and had consulted with her. I arrived for a consultation to discuss the project and made an appointment to start the line work. On the day of the first session with 90 minutes notice she texts me to reschedule. Begrudgingly after she pleaded and begged to give her another chance because of all the time she spent on the design I made another appointment which I unfortunately had to reschedule due to a medical emergency in my family when I arrive for the third appointment she was not prepared with properly sized stencils and then decides to walk away for 15-20 minutes to discuss BBQ sauce with other people in the shop and yet after 2 1/2 hours of sitting in the chair I had still not had a drop of ink placed in my skin so unfortunately I had to make yet another appointment which I get a text about an hour or so before my appointment asking if I can come in later which I unfortunately cannot because my fiancé had a severely broken leg and I set out a certain number of hours in the day to go out and get tattooed and do something for myself. In response she acted as if I didn’t even know how much time and effort was involved in getting a tattoo so I felt very condescended to and cut my losses at the “” nonrefundable Deposit” And terminated the relationship of artist and client I’m hoping the shop owner sees this message and understands the gravity of her actions. She jerked around a NYC paramedic with a chronically ill fiancée and for some unlnown reason thought her “client” would just go along with however much time she wanted to take to do things that should have been ready when I walked in. While I like the vibe of the shop and it seems like the artist are very very competent, just a beware of who you spend a deposit on working with

I wish there was a way to rate the shop separately from the artist. This review IS NOT about Live Wire, but about one of the artists.2020 was a rough year for everyone, especially first responders. My fiancé, a NYC paramedic made an appointment with Sam Castro to have a custom sleeve done. The first appointment she canceled with 90 minutes notice, she begged and pleaded for another chance. After we decided to give her a second chance. The next appointment had to be canceled on our end because I fell and shattered my right leg, which required emergency surgery. She acted as if she was offended that he was unable to make it, with WELL OVER 90 minutes notice as she did to him the previous appointment. We made yet another appointment for the start of my fiancés days off between shifts and jobs. This appointment day arrived and my fiancé went to see her alone as I was still recovering from emergency surgery. That day she decided to screw around for 2 hours of the 2 1/2 hours he was there, to such an extreme that after 2 1/2 hours he didnt even have the full stencil on his arm, let alone a drop of ink. She was more interested in BBQ sauces that another artists client was talking about. When she wasn’t with other artists clients she was taking a smoke break every 20 minutes. When she was confronted about the amount of wasted time, as my fiancés time is extremely limited between a full time career as a paramedic, working part time as a medic with a fire department, and my broken leg and the fact that I am disabled and have a chronic illness, she became rude, belligerent, obnoxious, and down right disrespectful. She acted as though we have no idea about what goes into getting a full sleeve tattoo with time and actual physical work, preceded to speak to him in such a condescending, belittling, demeaning way, that you would have thought she was disciplining a 10 year old child that broke a priceless family heirloom. She opted to keep our $200 deposit, claiming that she had put hours of work into the design, which she was clearly fumbling over and trying to make look complete at the last appointment that he was at the shop for. I have several friends who have been tattooed by Sam Castro. The work was clean, the lines on point, the color vibrant and properly saturated, but the was a long time ago. Im not sure if she thought that because he is a medic that the pandemic would keep him so busy that he didnt have time to come back, that way she could slack off on and/or completely forget about the art he told her he wanted. The few stencils she did lay on him were nothing like what he wanted, yet she refuses to give us the design that we paid $200 for, claiming that it was HER property, even though she refused to refund our deposit. So future clients beware, there is a lot of nice work that comes out of this shop, unfortunately, none of it is Sam Castros. She was nothing but sloppy, lazy, rude, obnoxious and just downright useless, yet still has the audacity to charge $200 to do NOTHING!!! Be aware of whos chair you sit in, avoid Sam Castros at all costs if you dont want to be jerked around like we have been, during a pandemic that kept him away from home constantly, that he forfeited 4 hours (with drive time) sitting in her chair alone while she conversed with everyone else in the shop, that could have been spent at home finally getting a break from a very stressful job. I just hope that no one else gets taken advantage of and essentially robbed by her again after reading this.

Live wire arts is the place to go for your tattoos! Chris,Mike and Tiffany are great Artists! They will help you design your tattoo with no pressure! I get all my tattoos there and sodas my wife!

The shop is supper clean and comfortable to be in, the people that work here are extremely nice and fair. i have a full sleeve done by tiffany and i love every piece of it! great pricing too!

I went to one of the artist here to get a drawing done, talk to the artist before hand and she said she could do it if I paid for it. So I go down there with a friend and put a deposit down. I recently got a car and asked if I could get my deposit back since nothing was done for the drawing yet, I was denied. Then I asked if she could follow through with the drawing then. Again, I was denied. All in all its bad business to take someones money and not do any work.

Mikey, HANDS DOWN, great! Saw him tonight on a last minute booking for my boyfriend and I. He was quick, efficient and his work is amazing! Can’t wait to get more!

Can’t even review. Store said they were open at noon. Waited until 12:20pm. Door was still closed so went elsewhere. No it wasn’t a holiday, and yess I passed by later around 2pm and they were open. I guess you have to make an appointment
