I feel bad leaving this review because everyone is professional, nice, and the environment was clean, but I got charged upwards of 200 for 2x2 a no shade, all black, line tattoo that took the guy maybe 15 minutes. I dont know if they charge tourist price because we were from out of town but this was supposed to be a meaningful tattoo to remember and it came out worse then a stick and poke tattoo. I was thinking maybe 80 dollars because thats how much a parlor around home charges for that size WITH shading, but I was appalled at there pricing, they didnt quote until it was done and then told us cash only at checkout, scummy. Squiggly lines, curves with bumps. Im sorry if you charge 1k an hour, you need to be the best of the best and what I feel was apprenticeship.

Clean, bright place and friendly people. They take the time to listen and give advice. My first ever tattoo was done by Jason and I could not be happier. I highly recommend Spilt Milk.

I had a wonderful experience here, from calling to book an appointment to getting some beautiful art on my arm. I had a very peculiar space I wanted to fill, and Jason made it SING. The artists at this shop are all so dedicated to their art and their crafts. The environment is stellar - everyone was collaborative and encouraging of one another. The entire staff is so kind and attentive and supportive. I had total confidence in Jason to create something we were both hyped about. This is the kind of shop Id go into and let any of the artists just fly with an idea with no hesitation and full trust. Ill be back!

I admit this rating may be a little biased, but still very honest! I am a huge Disney Princess fan and wanted to get a small tattoo to celebrate my love of all things DP. Well, not to brag (okay, Im bragging a little!), but my brother Mark gave me the cutest little mermaid tattoo today! The shop is awesome and Mark is the man to see if you want a quality, amazing tattoo. This was my first visit and certainly not my last! Id recommend SMG to anyone wanting a new tat! Thank you! 💖💖💖

My brother and I came in the other day. Our first time in this shop. We both gout our tattoos together by mathew! He was absolutely amazing and sweet! My brother absolutely loves his first tattoo!! I got my second tattoo. It was alot of fun and over needed lol. Most definitely will come backTysm for the awesome service again!!!

My first time at this shop was successful. I have lots of other tattoos, this was the largest. Here is my take away, I don’t know if the shop usually prioritizes walkins, but appointment was not for scheduled time. I got there for my 11 o clock, didn’t speak to artist till 12:30. The appointment was easy to get though, I called last week. It is quite pricey but the quality was there and the artist was very nice. I didn’t start getting tatted till 1:15 and I left at 330 and the tattoo was 500. But I do believe that for better quality it is pricier. I don’t know if I expected it to be that much, but I am in love with it, it is exactly what I wanted and the atmosphere was really inviting and the workers were very kind.

Bright, clean, and friendly. Mark did both of my tattoos and was great and my daughters was done by Joseph and she is very happy with it.

Just received a tattoo from Taylor. I highly recommend him. He has worked on many people i know. I looked around all over for an artist I liked and he was the only one i liked. The tattoo itself is perfect of course. I am a perfectionist and he exceeded my expectations. His character is cool and very casual yet his work is serious and very professional. He has a quality taste and a love for his work that is inspiring. I will be returning again for more work. I have complete trust in his work and talent as an artist.In addition, the shop itself is beautiful. A classy joint that is attentive and clean. Fair Prices and over all a 5 star experience!

Best tattoo shop in New England, by far! Clean and friendly, Mark runs a fantastic operation with the best tattooers in the industry! Amazing place. Lost my Dad on Father’s Day and came into town to work through the service. Wanted a tattoo to tribute him and not only did Jase find a way to fit me in but nailed the tattoo!! Highly recommend this place, they care about what they do and the people who visit them

Steven is the man!! Highly recommend, it was my first tattoo and it was a big piece so I was nervous going into it. Steven made me feel super comfortable as soon as I got there. The tattoo came out great, more than I imagined. Can’t wait for my next one.

Walked in without an appointment and they had an opening to do a small tattoo. Josh was great. He asked for some examples of what I wanted and what else I was looking for to make is me. He sketched it and did an amazing job. They really want to make the art piece special. Really happy with the work, friendly staff and everything else about the place.

I went to spilt milk , had a consultation with Stephen, we talked about what I wanted in a tattoo.. He went above and beyond my expectations.He created a gorgeous tattoo with everything I said I wanted and More !! His eye for detail is impeccable! The entire staff is very courteous . The amount of talent in this establishment is unbelievable. Each artist is just that , an artist. I cant wait to go back for my next session in a few weeks.I highly recommend them, the best of the best .. and remember , you get what you pay for.. quality at it best .

Let’s just say I will no go to another tattoo parlor but this one! Great artists that genuinely care about their craft...clean shop and great atmosphere. Anytime I stop I. Just to say hello they are all welcoming. I have had what feels like hundreds of hours of work done with Taylor who is so good that I no longer even have to tell him what I want...I let him determine what’s next because he knows me so well. Love his work and love the time I spend with him. At this point I won’t let anyone else tattoo me but Taylor. He is an incredible talent as are all the artists at this shop. Can’t say enough...spread the word because they are phenomenal. People stop me all the time, wherever I go to comment on Taylor’s detailed work.

My husband and I have been coming here for years. Mark is so thoughtful and attentive. I love his ideas, and how comfortable I feel with him makes my tattoos a breeze. The tattoos he has given to me have really made me feel like my inner self on the outside. My husband and I are lucky to be his clients.

I went in after having breast cancer reconstruction surgery and Mark was amazing! He gave me back confidence in myself because of his realistic looking tattoos. His skill is incredible. Thank you for what you do for cancer patients Mark!

I brought my special needs adult son there this a.m. for a tattoo, Dan did an awesome job and treated my son just like anyone else. A very fair price also. Would definitely recommend!

I have never been happier that another tattoo shop was closed the Black Pearl. Im on vacation and I came here. Im trying to get a tattoo from every city/area that Im going to. I had a drawing of what I sort of wanted. Steve came back with a drawing that was perfect.The shop is friendly and clean. They make you feel very comfortable. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SHOP. Jase is the man. All of the staff is so kind and funny and all of their work is amazing! I told Jase some of my ideas and told him what I wanted incorporated and told him to go for it with the drawing and it’s better than I could have asked for. I got my ribs done and wouldn’t have wanted anyone else to do it!

I have been going to Spilt Milk for 14 years ! 70 tattoos total , it’s the only place I will go . Mark the owner is amazingly talented and does all my portraits . Josh is the creative artist behind 90% of my ink . He always comes up with exactly what I’m looking for and I always leave a happy client . It’s a professional shop , always clean . Hands down best tattoo shop on cape !

I got my first tattoo here and keep going back. Every artist is wildly talented and professional, and the shop is clean with private rooms. I go to Taylor Lindley and have received countless compliments of each piece he’s done. They make you feel comfortable and you walk out with beautiful art that exceeds your expectations. If you’re looking to get some ink I can’t recommend Spilt Milk more!

I would give more than 5 stars if I could. Spilt milk is not just a tattoo studio, every artist is incredibly talented. The owner Mark is my go to tattoo artist. He is working on a sleeve for me. He is patient when I send him a million ideas that I want him to combine and he is beyond gifted. I trust him to use his imagination and create something that I will want with me forever. The studio is Extremely clean and professional. I suggest going there and working closely with an artist. A M A Z I N G.

I had Maegan tattoo a small Barber Pole on my hand, she did a great job! The lines are clean and shading is on point. I will return again, and would highly recommend Spilt Milk to anyone with confidence.

Total professionals, clean shop, great artists. Did a quick decent sized walk in yesterday, was blown away with the whole experience. Have been to many shops, this by far was the best one Ive come across in New England. Had Josh as an artist. He was kind, professional and a great artist. I got some of the crispest script on the planet. Not even red or sore the next day. GO HERE!!!!

On a short trip up to the cape, me and a friend of mine decided on a whim to each get matching tattoos. When we got there we had an idea of what we wanted but not 100% sure how to put it all together. After meeting the artist, Stephen, he came back out a few minutes later with exactly what we wanted and I have to say it is hands down my favorite tattoo that I have! I could not be happier with what I have and the quality of the work. I would recommend this shop to anyone in the area, or just swinging through, that wants or is thinking about getting a tattoo!

Great place to go, Stephen designed a amazing tattoo for my Dads memorial tattoo that I got. I gave him the idea of what I wanted and he came up with a great drawing in a matter of minutes and astounded me with the finished piece. He has been doing my tattoos and my wife’s tattoos ever since.

If you want a clean and great place to get a tattoo then Spilt Milk is the place to go. Mark and his staff are great. I have been going there for more than 10 years and will continue to use them. The amount of charity he does around the Cape is top notch as well.

For most people getting a tattoo is a very big deal. Add the fact that there are many different styles and subject matter it can be a very stressful situation for many.The skillful team at Spilt Milk goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome from the moment you step through the door. The professional manner and talent of all of the artists is amazing to behold and when you are done you are no longer just a customer but a member of the Spilt Milk family.

I usually see Mark. Mark is the owner and one of the coolest guys I know. My mother and I share birthdays so we decided to get tattoos together. She had experience with Josh Kuehn. Not only was Josh friendly, patient, and professional he was a very laid back guy! I highly reccomend him!

Forced to give 1 star to write review.Did a tattoo here,took drawing - everything was good until I saw the final result. Simple delicate flower- is my nightmare. He flipped the drawing and changed color to the one he thought was fit for me WITHOUT INFORMING ME. Went here because of a reference- just remembered to do this review and will continue to show my tattoo and talk about this place.Should have called cops on guy,now stuck with this trash doodle of a 30 year old kindergarten.

Where to begin? Not only are they the most talented tattoo artists around, they are friendly, down to earth and most importantly clean!They make sure you are entirely comfortable before even starting the machine, making sure to ask if the first line was barely as well.Constantly communication, updates on where they’re at, etc etc.Not only do they maintain this, they also maintain a. Very clean store on main street, and give back tenfold to the community.Truly get what you pay for. Dont be fooled by other places with “as long as you can sit”. You buy a Ferrari for the experience, the speed and the enjoyment.You go to Spilt Milk for art, tattoos, friendships and a life long commitment.I can’t say more positive things about Josh, Mark or Taylor theyve been tattooing me for 9 years and Im happy to be their canvas. Im happy of the connections Ive made. Its more than artwork or some drawing its a friendship.Even Hans the man who runs the operations or payment, scheduling etc is a professionalRespectful man, makes it easy and friendly while also inviting every time I wait.

They say they take walk-ins, but when I walked in I showed the man behind the counter what I wanted (Granted, it wasn’t big and elaborate) but it meant something to me. The man said I don’t have anyone available right now, I’ll take you name & number and call you.2 hours later, I called and he said, still no one available. Sorry.Waited the whole day, he never called back.Seems like they only take customers that want big, elaborate, expensive tattoos. Will never go back there.

Great place. Everyone my family and I met was extremely nice. Stephen, our artist, was great. He was so nice, fun to talk to, and my family enjoyed working with him as he tattooed three of us. Thanks Stephen!

“Take a deep breath, there’s only solutions” Mark Corliss. Have you ever gone in for something received something completely different. I went in for a lioness tattoo at an unnamed establishment. The artist was sweating and looked very uncomfortable. He “lost my tattoo” it looked like a cat. I wasn’t happy and immediately showed Mark. He sent me to out of ink in Plymouth to have removed. I then had to wait 5 weeks before having a cover up. All I can say is I am so impressed with this cover up. With that being said I was reminded why I continue to go to Spilt Milk. I made a mistake to go to an alternative tattoo artist that was not capable of the work that Spilt Milk does. I give this a 10 out of 10.

I just got my first tattoo here and I had Stephen and he did a fabulous job on my tattoo I love my tattoo so much and I will definitely come here again for another tattoo. Had a fair amount of work done at this studio with artist Stephen Von Staats. First, I cannot say enough great things about this guy. Hes a terrific artist and hes got integrity, which is rare in this world. Great to work with. He inked both of my elbows and then he did my entire arm, then started on the other arm before I moved out of the area. The dude has skills, has a great style. I tossed a few ideas at him and he came back with an amazing piece of art that is mine all the way to the morgue.A buddy of mine got his first tattoo at S.M. and was happy with the work. In fact, in all of my years living on Cape Cod, I never heard a bad thing muttered about Spilt Milk, their artists, their work etc...General advice for someone looking to get ink: if youre new to this game, dont rush into getting ink. Take your time, come up with some ideas of some art that you like and shop around. Stop into shops and look at their portfolios. Look online at artists in your area, fakebook, instagram etc. and see who they are and what they are all about. SVS is the man. Spilt Milk is a winner in my book.

This place is the best! If you’re looking for the best tattoo artists on the Cape this is the only place to go. The shop is clean and the people there are so friendly and polite! I’ve gone here several years in a row now and I can’t say enough about how great they are. The pricing is great and the work is the best quality you can get.

I’ve been to a couple of artists but Stephen von Staats at Spilt Milk is the only artist I will ever go to from now on. He is not only a talented artist but he really cares about the quality of his work and takes the time to make sure you’re happy with his work.

Had an idea of what I wanted to do for a tattoo. When Mark showed me what he drew up for the tattoo I wanted to change a few things. It was clear he was aggravated and told me “maybe you should draw it yourself” and continued on with saying “I’m not going to tattoo you today” for what? because I wanted to change a few things? not for anything but I am not the tattoo artist and this is something that will be on my body forever... if your customer doesn’t like something, shouldn’t you change it? I was there for 3 hours and ended up not getting the tattoo.

I walked into spilt milk tattoo studio this week. I was thinking about getting a tattoo and had some ideas in mind. When I went to talk to the front desk about my ideas he pointed me to some of the books in the corner of the store. I didnt see anything I liked and I was really disappointed at the fact that no one was willing to sit down and talk to me about the tattoo design and they just expected me to pick something out of the book. I even picked a picture out and tried to get someone to talk to me about getting something similar and they seemed really disinterested and I felt discouraged from getting the tattoo all together. I went across the street to black pearl tattoo and was greeted with a much friendlier atmosphere. The guy sat down with me and we came up with some cool designs and ideas together. I would suggest going to black pearl if you want a much better and friendlier experience.

Great place, great people and an awesome atmosphere to allow you to relax well getting tattooed. Mark and the guys create unbelievably artistic tattoos. So much so that I travel from Southwest Florida to get Tattooed at Spilt Milk.

I got a tattoo of the initials of my friend that died . they couldn’t even get it right . There’s scaring from them applying to much pressure, the ink faded away in a month and they couldn’t even get the lines straight . I went to great island tattoo in Hyannis and had a great experience, I highly recommended them. Don’t go to spilt milk not recommended.

This is the most unprofessional place i’ve ever gone to. they canceled and pushed back the time multiple different times and not to mention the staff were completely rude. Dan (tattoo artist) was so rude and didn’t seem to have any interest in my mom and I’s business. completely ridiculous.

Friday afternoon, I walked in and asked for some suggestions for my back. The 25ish unshaven man says to me, You have to know exactly what you want. I am a hairdresser, if I ever said that to a client, theyd get up and walk out which is exactly what I did!!!
