Headlight Tattoo & Body Piercing

I stopped in Headlight Tattoo on Thurs 9/19 to inquire about a nose piercing. I explained to Sam that I was very nervous due to a traumatic experience I had at a different shop. Sam reassured me that she was confident in providing me with an enjoyable experience. Sam took the time to listen to my concerns and allowed me to explain what happened previously, reassuring me this time would be a completely different experience, boy was she correct. I had no pain or discomfort while she was piercing my nose and putting the jewelry in. She was extremely informative in helping me make my decision in which piece of jewelry Id be wearing. I cannot stress enough how much she put me at ease when my anxiety was on 100 the moment I walked in the shop. I would send anyone and everyone to see Sam at headlight for a piercing / tattoo, as it was a perfect experience. 10/10 would recommend and I will be back to see the girls in this shop in the future. :)

Pre Covid I went to the shop in Deptford to get my nose and belly button pierced. Overall, the experience was fantastic and both piercings healed beautifully, so I decided to go back for some ear piercings this year (2024). As I was getting pierced I was told the piercings I was getting have been “giving people problems with keloids and irritation bumps (not so reassuring).” I still received the aftercare solution and paperwork and paid to have implant grade titanium pieces put in due to allergies. About 2 weeks of cleaning properly later I noticed bumps starting to form and ooze. I went back to the shop to get it looked at and was told to just squeeze the liquid out and they’ll go away, and if that didn’t work, they could pierce it with a larger bar to ultimately remove the bump. I opted for the more painless option and they still did not go away. I then went to another shop recently to get my ears looked at since they’re still causing me irritation and pain and was told all three of my piercings were not pierced according to my anatomy and was informed that I was not pierced with implant grade titanium but instead steel. I am now to keep a close eye on the bumps and on a strict cleaning schedule again before having to remove all three of these pieces for them to officially heal. Because I am a young female I feel like I was taken advantage of in regards to the types of materials being used and WILL NOT EVER return to this shop again.

Sam, the amazing apprentice, did such an incredible job bringing my idea to life! Its been two weeks since, and its healing so beautiful. Highly recommend checking her out. She was so, so sweet and Im so incredibly happy with her work 😊

I got both nostrils pierced recently by Harry. he explained everything very well and took time to make sure they were symmetrical, even asked my mom who was with me for her opinion on the placement to get a second perspective! they turned out perfect and are healing so well after just a week.

The shop was clean and nice everyone there was very friendly. The jewelry she used for my belly button piercing was too short so it was creating a bigger hole I had to buy a longer ring to help it heal.

I have gone there for about 2 years. I got my first piercing here which was my nose and it wasn’t painful and it was quick. As well as my belly button and my ear piercings. Harry has done all of my piercings and he’s always nice and very funny. They are clean and it’s a nice place. If you go I would definitely recommend getting Harry to do your piercings. He has done all of my mom’s piercings for the last 20 years. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!

My daughter and I wanted to get a tattoo together and let me tell you - EVERYONE WAS NO NICE! Robert did ours and he made it a fun experience for the both of us and I LOVE IT 🥰 I don’t even know how I made it thru this 😬 but he made me laugh so much that I felt nothing. 😆👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Thank you Robert and looking forward to my next one! This shop is amazing, called in the morning for an appt and was able to see an artist same day. Robert @yellowwolf_ink was awesome and making the tattoo in my head a reality! Looking for a new or first tattoo? You should really consider this shop!! Every other employee there are so extremely friendly and I will be back for my next tattoo very soon!!

Had Rin do my first big tattoo. She was great, made me feel comfortable, super clean and she was amazing all around. Definitely coming back to her. She was so patient when it came to applying the stencil to get it in the right spot. 10/10 recommended.

Sam and Harry did 2 forward helix piercings on me and they were great! Both super nice, calm and funny!! They really cared about how they looked and Harry even changed the one piercing to a shorter one because he thought it would look better and it did! They took their time and didn’t rush through it which makes it a lot less stressful. Super great place with great people. Highly recommend!!!

First tattoo at this shop, staff was very friendly, shop was clean and maintained. Dakota was extremely nice and accommodating with reapplying the stencil, making sure it was perfect before starting. I will definitely be back, thank you Dakota!

Thank you for making this an awesome experience. They got us in so quick for the appointment since this was a Christmas gift to my daughter. Took my 16 year old for a nose piercing. Cute atmosphere and so much love and kindness throughout. Very clean and fun experience. Thank you Harry and Sami ♥️

I got a tattoo in memory of best friend who passed. I wanted done sooner then later and Harry was so nice and was able to fit not only me but our other best friend in to get matching tattoos in memory of our friend. It looks great and i will definately be back for more tattoos in the future.

This was my second time coming to headlight and it was absolutely amazing! Their piercing room is so nice and clean and has a very calming aesthetic! I was pierced by Harry Ake and he made the process and experience so painless and calm. It was amazing and will be the only place I come for all my tattoos and piercings!

Had an amazing experience with Sam. Got my nose pierced both sides and belly button. She was being mentored thoroughly as a piercer. It was fun being educated on the process behind it. I recommend Sam wholeheartedly. She takes her time to do it right

I got my conch piercing from here by Sami and it was the BEST experience I had with any piercing! Normally I get irritation and bumps after getting any kind of piercing, and I have had ZERO problems with this. I will be going back to get more piercings very soon. The entire shop was amazing and I would recommended this shop to anyone.

Got a piercing for my upcoming birthday and Harry was very thorough and made sure you knew everything he was doing. You could tell he was experienced and made the whole process quick and easy! Would definitely get pierced here again

AMAZING! Absolutely amazing job! Harry did my 4 piercings: Conch, Industrial, Anti Tragus and Tragus... They all turned out great!.. He was so understanding, gentle and kind.. Today I went in to get some jewelry changed out and get my anti tragus... I have had the BEST experience coming here and getting my piercings done... :)

I got a nose piercing and industrial bar redone by Sami Zindel and couldnt be happier! The shop was very professional and clean and the piercings healed up perfectly!

Kayla (no longer there) did two of my pieces including matching tattoos on my mom and I, and a piercing. Solid work. The other artists are also super talented and very friendly. Great place, extremely clean. You can feel very safe getting any kind of work done here.

Ive been going to headlights for years. Always great service everyone is always so nice. They talk you threw everything and answer all questions. Ive had all my piercings done here and just got my dermal done she was quick and painless she put it in the perfect spot i love it!! Will definitely be back for more

The place itself is cool. I scheduled an appointment to get a cover-up. From what I can recall, there were 2 needles she took out of the pack and half way through 3 machines were out. She used tap water to dilute the ink. I developed a really bad infection for 300 dollars. I had basement tattoos turn out better. Very dissatisfied and I would not allow Shannon to touch you with anything. My cousin got pierced by her and in 4 weeks, it still looks like it was done yesterday. Not sure about the other artists, but when this infection finally heals, someone needs to fix her disaster or give me my money back. I have never seen such an infection that the very next day, I could not put a darn thing on the tattoo. It burned so bad. I immediately knew something wasnt right. Shannon called me to say sorry and she would be on vacation. If I was a shop owner, it would be a permanent one for her. This infection is so bad, she definitely did not follow protocol and cut corners. The infection says it all!

After getting terribly placed piercings from another shop, the owner was so kind to help my sister and I correct them. He took his time to make sure we were satisfied with our results, it was super clean, friendly, and a place I would come back to for future piercings.

Sydney did an amazing job with both mine and my brothers tattoos. The shop has an all around great staff with great vibes. 10/10 would definitely come back for more work.

Ive had 3 piercings done by harry. He makes you feel calm and talks you through everything that he does. I recommend him to everyone who ask where they should get a piercing

I love Headlight Tattoo! So far all Ive gotten done there are piercings and even though their prices are a little high they all include high quality jewelry and after care solution. Ive gotten quite a few done there over the years and have never had a problem with infections or placement issues so I highly recommend them for first time piercings and their staff is knowledgeable and professional.

Decent service but I was accused of harassment when all I did was ask for an estimated price then I was told to stop contacting the place. Thats just 2 more people who wont go to your shop.

I got my first tattoo here a few years ago and could not be happier the artist was great and kind knowing it was my first tattoo. He spent the extra time to make sure it was in the right location and the right size. It was quick and painless and the price was not bad at all. I have also gotten a lip piercing before and it was quick as well.

It is very clean and the staff is very nice. I would go there again. The girl that did my daughters tattoo was very good and really listened to what she wanted and it came out great!

Just took my daughter to get her belly button pierced (glad to know places still enforce proof of age & parent/ guardianship) ... The girl was truly comforting to make her feel less nervous. Currently getting ready for all 3 of my kids names & special individualized meanings behind them, and my daughters 1st tat also special for her nana (deceased) any our female generation line eldest to her. Im excited & know they will come out amazing. . . will post pics when theyre done im September.

Awesome place, got tattoos for Friday the 13th and they did the touch up for free!! They look amazing and the fact they did it was very professional and awesome customer service!

Worst place very dirty, guy didnt even where gloves or sanitizer, never seen him open new needles ever. N the tattoo not very good armature work. The lettering was all off center n not straight at all was supposed to have just clouds in background and instead its like water n rain n all sorts of weird stuff wouldnt recommend this place for anyone to get tattoo there.

My sister took my daughter on her 16th birthday to get her 1st tattoo. The artist was sweet and personable and attentive.

They say to email someone to schedule an appt. That someone never answers their emails. Response time sucks!!

Shannon is a swashbuckler. Her lines are bold and clean and she works quicker with more precision than anyone Ive seen.
