I cant recommend Mason enough! He was super helpful even before my actual visit. I had some questions that I reached out to him for via his Instagram account (@piercingsbymason) and he was quick to respond and super helpful. On the day of my nose piercing appointment, he took his time and helped me pick out the perfect ring and let me hold up a couple different ring options to see what they would look like. For the piercing itself he marked the spot and let me take my time to make sure the placement was perfect. There was minimal pain during the actual piercing. I really appreciated that he walked me through every part of the process and was so friendly and calm, which really put me at ease. Nina was so incredible! We had a special weekend planned in Denver and wanted to commemorate with some tattoos. She was so sweet and kind and just so excited for us, which got us even more excited. We loved her passion for her work, her joy, her intentionality and also how clean she made sure everything was! And she was so patient as we were making last minute changes!We highly recommend Nina!

I took 2 kids in to get ear piercings. The experience was great, but there were lots of suprise billing fees. What should have been $75 a kid and tax turned into over $300. My receipt has service and office fees on it. I was very disappointed to spend almost triple on kid ears than I did for my nipples elsewhere!

I went in today to get my ears pierced by Mason and he made the entire experience very enjoyable. He was very helpful with jewelry selections and was the most professional piercing artist that I have ever been too, I highly recommended going to see him at this shop! :)

Stay Local is one of my favorite shops in Colorado. I have nothing but good things to say about Lucus and the other artists there. I am from California and wanted to get my nose pierced so I Googled tattoo and piercing and the name Stay Local just jumped out at me. Very clean and comfortable. Prices are within the average range and the jewelry is good quality.

I started seeing Lucus in December to work on a big cover up piece on my arm. From the get go Lucus was professional, kind and was so helpful in coming up with a piece i am loving. I’ve seen him about four times now, with more scheduled and every time I go in I feel cared for & respected. I highly recommend stay local tattoos & HIGHLY recommend going to Lucus, his work is well done & he is very creative. If you’re looking for a respectful tattoo artist, this is your guy!

Very friendly staff. I was having some concerns with an old piercing, so I stopped in to get it checked out. I was helped by Mason, who was very professional and knowledgeable. He helped ease my anxiety about the piercing and gave me recommendations to help it heal.

I have hesitated to write a review for a while now, but now that I have seen 4 different tattoo artist outside of stay local tattoo telling me my piece isn’t complete I’m irritated.I started seeing Lucas in summer of 2022 as a paying client. I was referred to him by someone that talked highly of him. I had my consult & wanted the same artist for my entire leg. I knew it was going to take many sessions & was a project Lucas was willing to take one.First session came, great, paid & made another appointment. He let me know that the piece was going to take more appointments & I said I was willing to pay!! 3 appointments in & scheduled my 4th to move onto the next piece of my leg, I received a text back the next day after asking for the piercers info at the shop so I could look into an apprenticeship, “I no longer have that information & no longer can tattoo you”. I was then blocked. I had no idea what happened & further reached out on ig asking what happened. He let me know his girlfriend was upset & he was going to handle it. I then received an ig message from his gf about her not knowing about my appointments & felt uncomfortable. I let her know that I was a paying client & even gave her my next appointment time. She said she would talk to Lucas. I never heard anything back & was never scheduled again.The reason I’m finally making a review is I find it highly unprofessional & inappropriate of how this entire situation went down. I was a paying client & had no problem paying. I have now been to 4 different artists who have all said my piece isn’t complete that was initially started by Lucas and want to take a full day to finish it. I also have not been the only one that this has happened to as someone else had also went to him & said the same thing. Shouldn’t be taking on female clients if there is going to be a problem.

Stay Local is the sister shop of Mantra Tattoo. I’ve had a great experience at both. Jeff has been my artist and I will definitely be sticking with him. Everyone is professional, they take the time to listen to you and love to hear your ideas. Don’t worry if you don’t know what you want or if you are nervous, I found the process easy and comfortable. I had the concept, I wanted something that was important to me and had meaning of the losses of friends but also something that would remind me to look up and I’d always know where to go in life, hence “lights will lead you home”.I highly recommend theses guys.

Was referred here by another shop and they did not disappoint. Jeff Lester is an amazing artist who helped bring my concept to life. Gave me clear expectations thoughout the whole process. Clearly a guy who loves his craft and a dedicated artist. Would get stabbed here again

Luis was excellent! My wife and I came in some what last minute (called about 2 hrs ahead) and Luis was there to greet us. He was patient and very respectful. It was both of our first tattoos and we were a bit picky. He helped us make a decision and did an amazing job. Shop was clean too. Definitely recommend.

I went into Stay Local to get tattooed by Luis. He is a tremendous artist, and he was amazing to work with. He was incredibly helpful, but most of all he was very patient! This wasnt my first tattoo, but Luis creates a great environment at this tattoo studio and it was definitely worth the trip from London UK to see him.Luis only uses vegan products for his tattoos, which is very important for me. Whether you live in Denver or are just visiting, you should absolutely make time to see Luis and leave with a truly exceptional experience and an amazing tattoo.

I came here on a friends recommendation because she loves her artist, Juan Gonzalez. This was my very first tattoo ever, and I was super nervous. Juan totally got me calmed down and it really didnt hurt as much as I thought it would. His design is gorgeous and he was able to get so much detail into such a small tattoo! I couldnt be happier! I will return here for any tattoos I get in the future :)

Being a non creative minded person and a tattoo fan has been a struggle while tattoo. I love this shop because they gave worked tooth and nail to ensure I am comfortable and getting exactly what I want as well as having individual style from the artist. I have 0 complaints about this business. Staff have been nothing short of spectacular, hygienic, and incredibly respectful everytime I come in. I called about half and hour before the shop opened on the off chance someone would be there and there was! I was able to get their first appointment for a nostril piercing and it was fantastic!Jason the piercer was very professional, made sure I was comfortable and kept me informed of his movement at all times. Id had the same nostril pierced before but Id forgotten how much it hurt! Thankfully Jason was fast and it looks great!Shop and piercing room was very clean - I was only visiting the area but would definitely go back for more work if I had the chance!

Lucus was awesome to work with and did an incredible job! He listened to what I wanted and then created a design with me making sure it held every aspect I wanted. He is an awesome guy to work with and will be going back for many more tattoos in the future!

This is such a rad shop! My wife and I walked in asking about availability for us to both get multiple nose piercings, Mike was very welcoming and cool and helped set us up with Bianca for our piercings. Bianca was incredibly amazing and friendly, her professionalism and focus on cleanliness was top notch! She really helped us find the perfect jewelry and accommodated our four piercings, they were super rad of us having our toddler in tow, I am sure our daughters Metallica shirt helped the cause as they were listening to metal. I HIGHLY recommend Stay Local! The second you walk in it feels like home, and they appeared to have some seriously talented tattoo artists that I will for sure look up after typing this. The fact that we walked without an appointment and left 30 minutes later, satisfied is incredible.

My piercer Jasmine was amazing! She talked me through the process with my nostril piercing. She was knowledgeable and I had no pain at all during it. Also she answered any questions that I had before and after which was amazing. She was professional, wore a mask and a face shield which showed she was knowledgeable along with respectful during Covid-19. The shop was very clean and well kept. My fiance and I came into the shop and welcomed right off when I came in for a walk in. :) I highly recommend this location and I have 3 other body piercings from other places.

Brought my daughter here to get her belly button pierced. The staff was friendly and courteous. Luis was the one to preform her service. He was very kind and professional. I really appreciate that he talked with both of us and not at us or only to me. He did a great job not only with her piercing but also with the entire process. We will definitely be back for any future piercings and will definitely recommend Luis to anyone looking for a piercing.

I wanted to love this place as the reviews for it are amazing however, dont use their online appointment portal. I scheduled to get a piercing here after doing a lot of research on local piercing studios. I went online on 12/20 to set an appointment because whenever I would try to call no one would pick up. I scheduled the piercing for 12/24 as it was open. 12/25 (Christmas) was blocked off for the holiday so I didnt think they would be closed 12/24 and I had scheduled it 4 days before going so I figured if it didnt work out someone would contact me. Well...nope. I drove over 20 min to the studio to walk in and get told there was no piercer in the studio. The guy was nice and let me know they had a sister shop but after the entire situation I was over it. Its kind of a bummer because I wanted to get a conch done and get some new jewelry for my other ear piercings.Maybe just keep calling them until someone picks up because their online appointment system is pointless.

I came here for a piercing and also brought a girlfriend. The male piercer we saw was awful. Not friendly, did not answer questions. Told me to wait till he was done and still hardly answered anything. Being new to the world of piercing I would appreciate more direction. Was not given aftercare instructions or the gauge size so I could purchase correct jewelry. Would not recommend.

Dont get anodized piercings if you have a nickel allergy. I informed my artist I am allergic, I wrote it on my form, no one informed me anodized jewelry would lose its coating very quickly and cause problems. Nor was I told my jewelry had nickel in it. One month later i have an awful tragus infection. Proper jewelry saved it.

Luis is the man! He explained every step of the piercing process, made sure I was comfortable, gave me the opportunity to review the placement of the piercing and didn’t mind making adjustments! His knowledge in piercing and with aftercare was super comforting, since I haven’t been pierced since I was a baby. I had a great experience and will definitely be back!

Horrible experience. Tried to go three different times today and every single time they were closed even though their hours explicitly say they were open. We tried calling multiple times with no answer and not even an answering machine. They must lose a ridiculous amount of money. Very disappointed and they should definitely update their hours if they plan on copping out early.

This shop is top notch. The artists were extremely talented, friendly, and accommodating. Three of us walked in and Luis had our ideas drawn up in no time. The prices are fair and the work is awesome. I personally found my new artist in Luis, and cant wait to go back for the next one.

My conch piercing got pulled into my ear by an enthusiastic puppy at work. Jake the piercer was able to fit me in right away and was one of the most professional piercers I’ve had the pleasure to work with. I definitely presented a challenge because I had a trinity stone stuck in my cartilage but he was able to push it back through and even made a recommendation on different jewelry because I’ve been struggling with keloids the last year. 4 days later my ear has never healed this fast or painlessly..... I’ll definitely be coming to him for all my future piercings. Thank you Jake!!

My girlfriend and I got piercings yesterday. I got a helix & tragus and she got the other side of her nose. Overall Jake was very polite and great at his job. It was a very clean, easy, and smooth appointment. Jake made us feel very comfortable with the process. Highly recommend!

I like and recommend this shop :) They have good music, the personalities, the work and the customer service have all been great!Only complaint: they charged a fee to put in a $60 nose ring I bought from them. Ive had tons of places put one that I brought in for free without making any purchase (I tipped of course). Pro: one of the few shops outside of downtown that carry any 24k gold body jewelery.Reply to Owner: I understand the fee and makes sense to charge. However, its like going to a Mexican restaurant and when you get the bill you realize they charge for the chips and salsa. Its against the norm. Regardless of your reason, making it clear up front is best practice.Appreciate your acknowledgement of my feedback.

Piercer is very knowledgeable, a master at placement not just for aesthetics but for healing. His deft swift hands will have your jewelry in place before you know what happened.They do their own anodizing, so there is a wide range of colors and sizes to pick from. Its not the widest selection but everything they have is top notch quality and design. No cheap stainless steel that wouldnt be suitable for a kitchen drawer much less a piercing.Pricing is competitive, but not the absolute cheapest in town. That doesnt matter too much to me, if Im permanently altering my body I want it done right more than I want to save $5.Ive only been pierced here, I havent gotten any tattoos from their artists, but I have quite a few tattoos and know good work when I see it. Everything I have seen has been above average quality of work, some of it downright impressive. If you are considering getting some work done here I would suggest reviewing the portfolios of all the artists, finding the one who does good work in the style you want, and talk it over with that artist. Dont rush it, its gonna be on you forever, take a few days to do your homework, the artists respect you taking your tattoo seriously and will do the same.PS this shop is NOT in Denver County, and is doing facial piercings. Noses, lips, im pretty sure tongues, septums, etc. Denver County as of April 2021 was not and has not been allowing facial piercings for about a year. This shop takes hygiene and infection control VERY seriously, and on top of the great service, selection, and skill of the piercer, you have nothing to worry about getting your first or next facial piercing from them. They also do jewelry changes to make sure nothing goes wrong the first few times, after the appropriate healing period, and to ensure you put the right kind of jewelry in and dont ruin or deform your new piercing. Give em a stab, and dont forget to tip, Jake will make sure you enjoy your piercing for years to come and have a great experience while youre at it. If you like his work, show him some love because I guarantee he will show you that love the second you walk in the door.Appointments available on the website, best way to make sure you dont waste a trip and that they are ready for you and you dont have to wait as long for the thorough disinfection procedure.

Ive done all my piercings here, everywhere else didnt have a piercer in when I went to get my first set done. Cody is the name of their master piercer and hes wonderful. Super quick and easy on all my piercing and he made sure I knew how to care for them after.

My tattoo was done by Jeff and I am super happy with the way it turned out. He has great line work and a steady hand. This is the first shop Ive been to in CO where I feel comfortable and taken care of. Highly recommend them.

Got my septum pierced with Jacob. He was incredible, very knowledgeable and helpful. I don’t do well with piercings and he was calming and patient. He also did a killer job with placement, and it was all done within a few minutes!

Went to get a nose piercing, which was done by Lonnie. She was great- was transparent about the whole process and caused very little pain. She made me feel really comfortable and talked me through the whole thing. The place felt very clean and welcoming. Would highly recommend.

They were great, my daughter was pierced there and my niece and nephew both got tattoos all in the same day. I left my daughters birth cert and they called me and held onto it for a month till I came into get it. Great service!

Probably the worst experience I’ve ever had at a tattoo shop. Lucus finished half my tattoo now refuses to answer me to schedule finishing it up? Super unprofessional and their prices are not worth it for the work they do. My cousin’s tattoo bled and looked awful as well when she got her’s done and was overcharged. Needless to say I just want to finish my tattoo and be done w this place! Wouldn’t recommend at all.

Never had a piercer so adamant about not using hoops to start a new/replacement tragus. Probably should have walked, but it was scheduled & if I didnt do it then, not sure when Id have been able to.

Love this place! Was in town seeing friends, took these guys an idea and they were amazing. Got exactly what we wanted. Luis lines were on point and his free hand looked exactly how I pictured it in my head. Definitely going to go back for all my future ink!

Shop doesnt understand the importance of other peoples time. We had an appointment Friday night and Saturday at 12pm. We called in to check and make sure everything we are good for our appointment on Wednesday. Then was told we didnt have an appointment on Friday that it was only Saturday. So we went in on Saturday at 12. Was told that the they were running late that they will be here at 12:30. We waited around until 1pm. He finally came in. Since now we have been given the run around this whole time. We are going somewhere else.

Prices are OUTRAGEOUSLY HIGH. Roughly 60% higher then anywhere else in the Denver metro area. 70$ for tounge and 90$ for a dermal. 😂
