Professional, efficient, patient, friendly, I can’t say enough about our experience! The shop is conducted very professionally, Justin was patient with us when we asked to modify the design, 3 of us got matching tattoos, we were done within an hour and a half and they all look great. Overall they delivered exceeding expectations

Justin did a touch up to my 30 year old (OMG, I cant believe its been that long) tattoo and made it look like new! I love the result. The vibe in the shop is very chill. Staff (Justin in particular) was friendly and professional. My experience was quick, painless and perfect. 10/10 recommend.

Justin did amazing work on this piece. The owner is extremely nice and the staff is incredibly talented. I asked Justin to apply some red into the tattoo wherever he felt that it would work best and he did not disappoint. Will be getting the rest of my work done here in the future.

I had my first and only tattoo done at another place, and was very disappointed with the results. With it being my first tattoo, I was not sure if it could be fixed without completely covering it and making it something else. I had a couple of friends recommend that I go see Justin at the Lovely Monkey. Justin did an amazing job and I am VERY pleased with how everything turned out! He also was able to add the artwork that I wanted to it, and they look great together! The atmosphere was great, very clean and professional! I HIGHLY recommend Justin, and the Lovely Monkey! I will be back!!!

I had such a great experience at this shop.Earlier in the week I messaged the owner in regards to scheduling an appointment at her other shop, she told me they were full but said there was availability here!She was able to get me in and so kind and thoughtful with her words. She explained everything thoroughly and helped guide me in a great way.My experience getting my tattoo was amazing as well. The shop was so clean and I felt so comfortable there.Jamie did my tattoo and did such a beautiful job.I am so satisfied and grateful for the service provided!:)Definitely will be returning.

1st tattoo here..this is my 2nd..I am a dental assistant so I take sterilization very seriously..this establishment..top notch!Beautiful work!Friendly staff!I come all the way from SCS area for my work here.

It was awful if I could give this place a negative review I would. I would never go here or recommend anyone to go there. After multiple designs getting the perfect design we started. He then added his own things to it without asking me and when confronting him he just said I think it looks good. Would never go there.

My friend and I came in to get piercings (I had 4 and she had 1 done). Justin did an AMAZING job! He always used sterile technique and the locations he had suggested on my ears and nose were absolutely perfect. His hand was super steady and we were surprised to be done within minutes! We were treated with respect from the moment we stepped in. I cant wait now to get my first tattoo and would love to be Justins client again! Highly recommended!

It has been some time since I received my tattoo from Justin while the tattoo has held up and isnt amazing its not terrible. Now that Ive gotten more tattoos and seen how other shops operate as well as the level of quality they provide, I wish at the time I had asked this shop to do mine Justin had just said he wasnt interested in doing the piece. As an artist every other tattoo Ive gotten the artist has drawn, sketched, freehanded etc. on me but when I came in to Lovelymonkey Justin had went on google grabbed an image and then just printed it out and stuck it on my arm. None of his creativity was really applied to the tattoo or artist vision which I feel is disingenuous to do a tattoo if you didnt want to in the first place. Overall tattoo itself is ya know just that a google clip art copy and pasted on my skin so it is what it is, Color of the tattoo has held up, just feels like there was a lack of motivation or drive when he provided that tattoo to me as well as the appointment he was rushing to get to the next person. 3/5 Wouldnt go again but im sure others will

I went here for my first 2 tattoos. I dealt with Dana, the owner for scheduling and she was more than accommodating and quick to respond! Justin Smash did both of my tattoos and did a great job! I will be going back for my next ones and have referred friends and family there already! They are also super clean!

My husband and I got our first tattoos from Jamie. We are very happy with the tattoos and experience we had. Even during the pandemic, all the steps they are taking to make sure the shop is clean made us feel safe. Will definitely be going back!

I had 3D male areola tattoos done with Jamie, and she did an absolutely phenomenal job. I can’t say enough about how easy she made the process, and how realistic my results are. I’m so glad I found this artist before going elsewhere. I recommend Jamie to anyone looking for realistic results. She gave me my confidence back and made sure I got exactly what I envisioned. This is a transgender friendly establishment! I could not be happier with the service I received. 11/10 recommend.

I just got both of my nostrils pierced here! They were incredibly priced for getting both done! The piercer is super friendly, knowledgeable and easy going! He made me feel more relaxed about getting the piercing without even trying! He was super quick, and made sure to ask how they looked before and after etc and I definitely recommend getting a piercing here! I’ll be coming back!

Justin was extremely welcoming, hygienic & professional. I had a wonderful experience getting my piercings done by him, he had room for a walk in so he accommodated me into his schedule same day.About the shop:*Their POS system is pretty cool and helps you with tip with 4 suggestions, and it has a custom button.*Very Zen interiors, most tattoo places Ive been to are dark inside, but this one had beautiful colors on the walls and plants everywhere.*free parking, everyone loves free parking.Will be back, I saw some of Justins tattoo work and Im interested for future projects.

Jamie was excellent to deal with. She spent 30 minutes before she started tattooing just going over placement, colors, size, etc. Jamie explained how the process was going to work. Her explanation of the after-care instructions were also very helpful. You can tell she takes pride in her work. Awesome experience!

If you are nervous about getting a piercing go see Justin. Friendliest dude ever and has such a calming presence about him. 10/10 would go again.

Got three micro dermal piercings done by Justin. He was super friendly, put me right at ease, and talked me through the whole process. Very decently priced as well. I intend to come back for all my tattoo and piercing needs.

Honestly my most favorite tattoo on my body

(This is a review based on ear piercings) I noticed both my piercings were slanted from the start but was hoping it wasn’t much of an issue. Unfortunately, 5 to 6 weeks later I saw no improvement and bumps started to grow around the piercings. I went to a different trusted piercing shop and was told the piercings were done too much at an angle and were not salvageable - I had to remove the jewelry and allow them to close up and heal. Overall, a little disappointed and frustrated in the outcome.

I cant say enough lovely things about this shop! The atmosphere is cool and inviting; sometimes I feel a little unsure about going into a tattoo shop as a lady alone, but everyone that I met there was super warm and inviting and put me at ease. Bri, the gal who did my tattoo, was professional and quick, my design was simple and small and she suggested a cool way to shade it in that I hadnt thought of when I was coming up with the design. She was knowledgeable and made sure I was fully informed and pleased with the size, placement, color, etc. before we moved forward. The artwork that the tattoo artists have up in their space is testament to the quality and unique talent they possess and I will definitely be returning here in the future! I view tattoos as investments (theyre on you forever ya know :D) and am so pleased with the experience and the work itself so Ill continue to invest in Lovely Monkey!

I have several tattoos but none are as beautiful as the ones Bri has given me at Lovely Monkey. Her art is AMAZING, the ink is incredible, and the shear talent out of this shop is unbelievable. My other tattoos are from some of the best artists in Portland and San Fransisco and they are nothing compared to mine from Bri. Her talent is out of this world. Thank you for giving me custom pieces (so reasonably priced too!) that make me smile several times a day. The compliments I get on them are unbelievable.In addition to the artist talent, the shop is clean, maintained, and welcoming. Id go back again and again.

I got my nose piercing here for my 18th birthday and the people at the lovely monkey made it a great expirience. They were so friendly that when I went to change my nose piercing and failed I proceeded to go back and they changed it for me and then after that piercing fell out I returned again after not being able to put the original back in and again they did it for me. Im so happy I got my nose pierced here and that I got to support a local buisness!

I got my first tattoo (pointilist flower design) here from Bri. The shop was great (clean, sterile supplies, clear communication) and Bri did a fantastic job. Looking forward to returning soon!

My experience at the unlovely monkey is an unpleasant one that Im reminded with everyday, seeing as how I have to look at it on my arm. I picked a SIMPLE yin yang tattoo because you would THINk it would be easy enough for an artist to do, and I am into ancient Chinese philosophy. Not only was the circle NOT a circle, the entire tattoo was done in an outline gun instead of having some shading on the black portion of the yin yang. Even I know there should be shading within a tattoo, and you shouldnt torture someones skin with an outline gun. It healed horribly because of this and there are patches now. I called and tried to get the touch up done which was supposed to be free, but the artist is no longer in town! I was told this by a snobby woman who told me the logistical bullcrap contract. If they said,hey, come in, it will only take fifteen minutes to fix it, no charge I might of contemplated not writing this review. I love supporting local business... But not this one! Spend the extra couple dollars, go to American graffiti in Brighton.

I came for a cover up and Justin worked with me on ideas and created an amazing design. Im so happy with the work he did. Great experience with this place. I will be returning.

Little on the spendy side for a VERY small tattoo that took under 10 min to do but the item came out exactly as requested. Since it is there forever I am glad I spent more $$$$$.
