Beyond Reality Tattoos & Body Piercing

I was referred to this shop by my friend who has worked with Hannah in the past. I came in to have an old tattoo re-done. I was worried because my tattoo was so dark and smudged and straight up garbage that I had little hope and very low expectations that anything could be done to help me improve it. Hannah absolutely knocked it out of the park and I still cant believe how much tattoo wizardry she was able to fit into just a 2 hour session. I am absolutely amazed at her skills and I cant wait to continue this journey. (How did she make my flat skull smudge look 3D? How was she able to add that septum and shading?)I am already so stoked about this tat makeover and I cant even imagine what the final result will look like but I already know it will exceed my expectations!You will not find this level of tattoo or piercing expertise anywhere else in the state (or country, tbh). Hannah greeted me at the door when I arrived and she has a demeanor that instantly puts you at ease. Beginning to end, this was the best tattoo experience in my Gen X life.If you cant get an appointment right away just put yourself on the waiting list and sit tight. I promise you it will be worth the wait. Trust me.Personal advice for anyone worrying about cost: You would pay $800 or more per hour in NYC for the level of skill and care that this shop provides. Tattoos are for life. Find an artist like Hannah and get it done right the first time and have tattoos that you will appreciate and show off proudly for years. Dont get a tattoo based on lowest price. NO REGERTS! Get a tattoo that is based on the quality of the artist. Any tattoo artist will work with you to slowly build a piece over time to achieve your results within your budget.I never thought my crap tat makeover was even possible and now that I see what Hannah can do, I am inspired to start on a blank canvas (right arm).Thank you again, Hannah. Cat is amazing. I took my partner here for 2 nose piercings. After she did the first one my partners anxiety started to act up and cat knew just what to say to help calm them down. We went back for cat to check the pricing and with the utmost professionalism she once again settled their anxiety. 10 out of 10 would recommend and would return.

Hannah is absolutely amazing. Loved everything that she has done for me. Will keep going back for more.

Nick did an excellent job. It was my first time getting a tattoo, and he made me feel so comfortable! He talked me through it, checked on me throughout the whole process, and was super patient, even though it was a small tattoo. He did an excellent job, and I recommend him very much so! I will be back for any further tattoos in the future!

Cat did a wonderful job tapering my ear piercings and was very careful and gentle. Beyond Reality was super clean and the experience brought me a lot comfort despite being very afraid of needles. Thank you again Cat for your patience, kindness, and aftercare advice!

My husband and i have been going to Hannah Brown for years ..we are like walking billboards for her art. She is an amazing artist and all around amazing human! We love her!!. The shop is always clean and safe. Cant wait to finish all our work! Love you Hannah!!

Just got my bellybutton pierced there by Dan, and it was great. He was not only professional but hilarious and made the experience very comfortable. I was super nervous going in but he did it quickly and made it comfortable. He also made sure to explain exactly how to clean it to make sure there’s no infection. If I decide to get another piercing I will definitely be coming back.

Tessa has done over half of my tattoos, and Ive been satisfied every time. A huge majority of my friends also go to this location for quality, beauty, and the originality these artists provide.The staff is friendly, the building is clean and well maintained, and the parking lot is easy to get to.

Got my first tattoo done here by Tessa and have nothing but great things to say. She was very professional, informational, and great attitude. Lining was very straight and shading is solid. I would highly recommend her and would definitely go back for more tattoos.

I got my helix pierced a few years ago and they did a great job! I was super nervous, but my piercer (I can’t remember their name, it was so long ago) made small talk and helped me feel comfortable. That was big to me, because I was VERY nervous and afraid. The piercing healed beautifully and I’m excited to go back for another piercing.

I got my first two tattoos done by Angela, she is a very talented and clean artist. She was very patient, and thorough with explaining the aftercare of the tattoos, I am glad I chose this establishment for my first tattoos. Will definitely return.

Spotless shop. Skip the questionably hygienic gun at the mall and take your kids to someone who understands piercing and sanitation. I was impressed by the shop and the person who pierced my sons ears. He went out of his way to make my son comfortable, explained all of his options and gave us thorough aftercare instructions. If youve never been to a tattoo shop before, dont be intimidated. Ive been in many all over the country and this is by far one of the most welcoming (and clean) shops Ive been in. Couldnt be happier.

I really use to love this place and came here for all my piercings but since Covid they have got terrible with their customer service. First you can’t call or actually speak to someone because I guess they don’t have a receptionist anymore, I’m not sure what happened to the older lady that use to be up there. You get a text telling you to reach out to the artist which I did. My tragus piercing fell out and I wanted to get another starter to replace it so I texted Stephanie like the automated message said. She informed me that they don’t sell jewelry which I found interesting because for all my piercings outside of my ears that’s literally the only that I went to and trusted to buy from. So I told her fine since they don’t “sell jewelry” can I schedule an appointment to get it re-pierced and I would pay the full amount for the piercing just so I can get the starter ring. She then says oh she’s not taking appointments. All I literally needed was another starter ring like the one I got from there before and I was literally willing to pay the price of the piercing itself just to get the ring. I don’t understand why they’re advertising piercings if they don’t have a piercer or if she isn’t taking appointments and I don’t understand why she’s even responding to people and listed if she’s not taking appointments. She didn’t say there’s a waitlist or she’s booked she’s just not taking people (which I feel like is a lie just didn’t feel like helping me). Like I said before I loved this place pre covid and they have one of my favorite tattoo artist Hannah working there but as of now I wouldn’t recommend going there UNLESS you’re strictly only going to Hannah for a tattoo.

Dan is AMAZING!!!! I went there today to get my nose pierced and I was really scared so he talked me through it and made sure I was okay. Very polite and sweet. I would totally recommend him :)Thanks Dan, you’re the best!

Out of all places I trusted this one to pierce my navel & within two weeks I had tons of people tell me to get a second opinion on the piercing. After getting my second opinion at another shop I was informed that the piercing was not in the correct spot, too much skin was taken, & the measurements weren’t taken acutely. I did have to take the ring out to allow wound to heal. I will redo the piercing in 2 months with a new piercing shop in Plymouth. I guess I won’t have a belly ring for my honey moon after all...You get what you pay for, spend a little more and go somewhere were you know you matter and aren’t just a dollar to someone. Everything here is so wrong, terrible customer service, NEVER AGAIN!

I received an industrial piercing from them last year and it healed beautifully. I recently got a tragus piercing from them too. The shop was clean. Everyone was nice. The piercer changed gloves many times. He knew what he was doing and I didnt feel any unnecessary pain. I would definitely go back there to get more piercings and a tattoo in the future.

Steve was very patient, kind and relaxed. He was clean, reassuring and worked diligently. Lexi at the counter was very charismatic and sweet :) Im extremely happy with my tattoos and Id recommend this place.

I got my first tattoo here back approximately in 2000 and the second later that year. 19 years later they both look amazing have never needed to be touched up. Amazing staff. Next time Im in Michigan Im going back for another

Got my first tattoo here. (At 70!] It was a very positive experience. Have friends and family who will only go to Beyond Reality for tattoos and piercings. My granddaughter had her daith pierced here. Good results for two years already.

Had a few problems with my nose ring, but the guy who pierced it did an amazing job. He was so nice and funny. Helped me calm my nerves. Will definitely come back again.

I went to the piercing shop a couple weeks ago with my sister and both our navels were pierced sideways stated by another professional. We were advised to take them out since they showed signs of rejection.. really wanted this for the summer.

Never have I ever had such an amazing experience with an artist + connected so effortlessly with a tattoo artist. Nice clean shop. Sammy is a very talented artist and she makes her own after care products. The other artist there were super friendly and welcoming.

I would recommend getting your pericing by Dan I got my nose done for the second time and he did a great job and the pain was so much less than the first, & I was really scared! it was over just like that. he explained how to care for the pericing and made sure i understood it and he was a funny guy, he knew what he was doing!

Nick did my first tattoo and two of my sister’s tattoos... he is awesome!!!! Super cool guy and did a great job. Will be back!

Ive taken my 17yr old here for many piercings and the ladies are very professional, clean and make a very nervous teen calm down with some funny jokes... We wont use any other business! Yall are great!

Evette I believe her name was, was a blessing to have work done with. My sister and I both went in for piercings and Evette lended her ideas and what might look best. A nose and daith piercing later, we couldnt be happier. Evette was clean and very professional. I tend to ask too many questions and she answered them all with a smile. Would recommend and will be going back for any other piercings

Had a dragon tattoo on my neck years ago. Barely hurt i cant remember the nameof the man who did it but he was so light handed it actually ticked.i never thought id experience that with a tattoo. Im 10 years older now and it hasnt faded or bled together a bit. Im going back soon to get 3 more tats.

I have been going there for years, they actually sponsor my circle track car, the cleanest friendliest shop I have ever been to.hanna is most amazing artist.If you are in to tattoos or piercings beyond reality is the place to go hands down.

I love this place, I came here to get my Monroe pierced and Evette did so beautifully the piercing didnt even bleed, it was clean and professional and I absolutely will be coming again. Perhaps for a Tattoo next time.

Walked in and was looking at some pictures lady finally came from the back asked if I needed help I said yes I would like to get some pricing on tattoos. Another girl already waiting said she has been her for 15 min waiting and no one came to counter. So they took her back for her appointment and here I am sitting in their shop 15 min later and no one in sight. Guess they don’t want my business.

I get all of my piercings from this place and they are awesome. But the new piecer is very unreliable and rude. I am taking my business elsewhere and im sure im not the first. Try to find a better staff that actually wants to work.

Had a daith piercing there with some friends back in March of this year and havent had a major migraine since. The shop was great and the staff was incredible!

Clean shop and everyone is extremely friendly. I got a body piercing and the piercer walked me through the steps and told me everything she was going to do before she did it.

The staff here is amazing. I have gotten my piercings and tattoos here and will be going back. The place is very clean and sanitary.

Was surprised how busy they were. Took my niece to get her cartilage pierced, her mom was with us. Took about an hour before we went back, room was clean. Evette was very friendly.
