I have worked with Chaz on several tattoo projects now and he has done an amazing job on each and every one of them. I have referred several people to him since getting mine done and all were so happy with their tattoos that they have scheduled appointments to get more done.

Everything else was good but a little bit of transparency in pricing would be great. It was my first so may be the price quoted is not always the final price, but my tattoo came out to be 1.5x the agreed upon price.

My friend and I got our first tattoo done here. The whole experience was amazing! Bethany did an incredible job from designing what we wanted to giving us our tattoo. She made sure we were comfortable with everything and customized her design to fit each of us. I have gotten nothing but compliments on how gorgeous and well done my tattoo is.

Ive had two visits with Chaz to date and hes done an amazing job for me! He is a master artist and worth every penny he charges! Were still not finished with all the great tattoos Ive been wanting to get for years. He has done two cover-ups and a touch-up on an old tattoo for me, and you cant even tell theyre are not the original tattoos. He is truly a joy to work with!

Amelia took care of me real quick, she helped me figure out my holes werent actually closed like I thought they were and just tightened up. She was super chill and positive and helped me with getting some studs back in my ears. It was a great experience! Definitely recommend seeing her if you need something done!

I would like to thank Matt for the fantastic and beautifully detailed work! Yesterday he did excellent work on my husbands second tattoo and a phenomenal job on the design work and ink that he did for me. The design that Matt did for me was superb, and the intricate detail that he put into my tattoo exceeded my expectations. Matt has now done 2 tattoos for each my husband, our son, and myself. I highly recommend this incredible artist and we will definitely schedule future work with Matt.

I had an amazing experience with Jade today getting my nose pierced! She is so bubbly, friendly, and calming. Jade is also very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. I have a very low pain tolerance but was surprised with how smoothly the piercing went. I cannot recommend her enough!

Excellent visit with Matthew. We got back from Costa Rica and my daughter wanted to commemorate our trip with Pura Vida tattoos. He was very nice and helped us make changes on the spot. The studio was clean and impressive! Everything was amazing, we will definitely be back. Very happy with our tattoos and excited for other possibilities.

This place is great between my husband and I we have gotten 4 tattoos plus my friend went got herself one. Ive gotten my noise peirced and my brother just got his ear...overall very professional great vibe clean and trustworthy!! My noise healed nicely and Ive even had a jewelry change. Definitely best place for anything!

Jade did GREAT with my nostril piercing. I went alone and I couldn’t have felt more comfortable with her. It’s my first piercing ever, so I was super nervous. I absolutely loved my experience. I plan on going back for another piercing once I’m completely healed. The price wasn’t bad for the quality of care + quality of jewelry they have. Everything was great and don’t plan on going anywhere else! :)

Been here a few times and I HAD to write a review Matt does a phenomenal job on all his work! I also got my nose pierced, I can’t remember the girls name for the life of me but I was a walk in with no appointment and she immediately got me squeezed in and it was my first piercing, she was super sweet and considerate of everything answered all my questions and was very gentle! I can’t say enough good things about this establishment! If I ever want to get another tattoo or piercing I am definitely coming back!!

Kelsey has now pierced both of my daughters lobes over the last couple of years. She is wonderful. Her process is extremely hygienic and efficient. Neither of my kids have had any issues with their piercings and both expect to get a second done in the next couple of years by her. The jewelry options are great as well. Absolutely recommend, even for your kids!

Matt Dupre is the ONLY person I will ever let tattoo me because his work is phenomenal. He’s so professional and so talented and approachable. I can’t imagine ever trusting somebody else to put their art on my body because he always intuits what I’m looking for and will make decisions to promote the longevity and quality of my tattoo. He’s an incredible artist and I highly recommend him to everybody I know!

I absolutely love Kelsey! She is the best piercer I have had. She answered every question as detailed as she could, and I had a lot XD. She is so careful and makes sure you have the best experience possible. I travel from out of town to get pierced by her because she is that good. Got my tattoo by Haley Corrine, this was my first tattoo and was a bit nervous but she really eased my nerves and was honestly just an absolute amazing person to talk to. Her story telling during the tattooing process is definitely in the top 5. The tattoo came out way better than expected and the overall atmosphere at the establishment is unique, chill and very welcoming. The entire staff is just so easy going i loved it. If you are in the area looking for a tattoo this place is the way to go for sure. You will not regret it.Update: Just got my second Tattoo from Justin and he has just gone above and beyond my expectations. Not only did he finish in almost half the expected time but also put a piece on my forearm i couldn’t be more happy about! He is just a very great guy to talk to and i would no doubt recommend him he has over 20 years of experience under his belt and it truly shows.

This place is awesome! I got my thirds on my lobes done by Kelsey, and she was absolutely wonderful. She went into detail about the process and explained the aftercare very well. As someone who has only gotten piercings with a gun (I know, it’s terrible) I was nervous as to what to expect, but Kelsey was quick and fast and I had little to no pain! I will definitely be coming back for my first helix piercing.

I was impressed by their studio layout. It had a nice feel and a dope atmosphere. I liked the way they accommodated me walking in, asking for a design from a pic on my phone, and tatting me up all in what seemed like 30 minutes. Service was great and the artist was even greater!

I almost missed my appointment when I was in Dallas but Kelsey was awesome and I managed to get there just in time. She did my nose piercing about a year and a half back and when I was in Dallas for the 4th I immediately scheduled with her. Got 2 helix piercings and a flat piece of jewelry. Good piercers are hard to come by so if you can get in with her DO IT!!

When it comes to getting a Tattoo, there are a lot of choices as to who will do your work. This can be very overwhelming or even a bit frustrating as a lot of shops are booked many weeks to months in advance. The best way to find a new artist who you can trust to do you right is a personal reference but since most of us do not frequent tattoo parlors on a regular basis this also can be a bit had to come up with.So here is my shoutout for the crew at Scarecrows....I stopped in at scarecrows, and right away you can sense this shop has great customer service, it is very clean and the staff is very helpful. I was introduced to Haley to discuss the work I wanted to get done.Haley is one of their new artists who has been working in this business for a couple of years, but her drive to be the best shows in everything she does and communicates as she listens to what you want.I showed her the drawing of what I wanted, she suggested and made some very cool artistic changes as to make it more personalized and set a date.When I showed up for my appointment, Haley was already there setting things up, showed me the final proof and she went to work. Her attitude and attention to detail is very impressive for a younger artist. The piece turned out better than I expected. I wholeheartedly can recommend Haley as your next Tattoo artist as she will without a doubt become one of those artists you will have to stand in line for.Thanks Haley great work.M.

They tell you a piercing will be $40 when you come in then charge you $88 and not one person in that shop was very nice. When a piercer tells you they wont do a tongue piercing should be a HUGE RED FLAG. If a piercer isnt comfortable with doing a piercing they have no business being in the industry.

Kelsi is hands down the best piercer Ive had the pleasure of interacting with. I was very nervous to get my first body piercing, but she was entirely calm and reassuring the entire time. Any questions or concerns I had with the healing process, she always had an answer and is continually accommodating. I wont be going anywhere else!

Had an awesome experience here on Saturday 12-18-21! Got my first piercings other than the usual ear lobes and it awesome! Kelsy was amazing and cant wait to schedule more piercings with her!

I was recommended to Scarecrow by one of my friends, after seeing the work he had done, I gave them a call. I spoke with the owner Darryl, and setup an appointment. I had 3 tattoos on my left arm that he would have to deal with. He took pictures of my arm, and called me a couple of weeks later to come look at the artwork he had free handed. It was gorgeous, so I booked my 1st appointment. We did 12 hours the first day, 5 hours the next day to get the black done. I waited a few weeks and came back to start on the color, this was 2 days ago, another 12 hours. I still have a couple of appointments left, but at this point, I am more than happy, the design and colors are coming together beautifully, more than I expected with 3 cover ups involved. He gave me very helpful tips on care of the tattoo, and was very accommodating through the whole process. The shop is the cleanest and most spacious one I have every seen, every artist in there I have met and they are all very nice. I highly recommend Scarecrow, whether you are wanting a sleeve like me, or just something small. They will take care of you.

I highly recommend this business for piercings. It was easy to book online, they took every COVID-19 precaution possible, they were organized and super clean. I took my 11yo for her first piercing, and Kelsey Schwartz was our awesome Piercing Artist! She was clearly very experienced, thorough in explaining the procedure and post-piercing instructions, and she put my daughter at ease. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Far better than any mall/jewelry outlet! Do your research to be aware that there are different ways to pierce ears - professional piercing artists know best!

Just got my tattoo done by Haley, it was a cover up, and it is amazing! I came to her with literally nothing, just told her kinda what I was looking for and a few weeks later she came back with an amazing design that fit me perfectly! She was so professional and nice, it was honestly refreshing to see in a tattoo artist. I am very picky about who I go to for tattoos, believe me yall, I do my research. This shop is in a nice area, all of the staff are super friendly and professional, the shop is super clean. I would highly recommend Scarecrow galleries!

Kelsey is the best piercer I’ve ever had! She did my septum which was by far my most painful piercing and yet she still made the experience amazing! She talked to me about jewelry and placement before, and she even changed my nostril piercing to a hoop for me! She really helped me stay calm and remember to breathe! It was the most painful but also the best piercing experience I’ve had. If you have a low pain tolerance, freak out over the needles like me, or if it’s your first piercing Kelsey is the only option in my opinion! I drove from Austin, a popular place for tattoos and piercings just to be pierced by her!! You won’t regret it if you go to her!

I went in last night for my first ever tattoo and it was the most amazing and comfortable experience of my life! My tattoo was done by Zachary Kai and he did an absolutely amazing job! He spent over 4 hours on my tattoo and the detail of it has absolutely blown my expectations for it through the roof! I will for sure be going back to see him for more tattoos as well as touch-ups! I got a tattoo on 02/26/2021 from Haley. She is enormously professional, clean, and personable. She took my amateur design and turned it into a true work of art that I am proud to display on my body. Haley has not been doing this for very long but she does not have the issues that I have encountered from newer artists in the past, she has a very light touch, she knows how to shade and contour, and most importantly and impressively: she can draw a circle, that is tough to do freehand. Overall, Id rate this more than five stars if I could. I look forward to working with her again in the coming months.

I just got my belly button pierced, and my piercer was Ryan. It was overall a great experience because he walked you through everything that was going to happen. The atmosphere was really chill and help me relax and feel calm. Id definitely recommend this place to all my friends and family, and Ill for sure be coming back for my future piercings!

Came here to get an old tattoo redone as it was faded and not very well done originally. I left with an incredible tattoo. I was not expecting the end result, I was so happy. This gallery is one of the best around with very skilled artists. Their artwork on paper and on skin is phenomenal! The gallery is very clean and comfortable with lots of sitting area if you bring family/friends for your special event. Their bathroom is spotless and they have the best hygenenic practices. Daryl the owner is amazing and an awesome artist, you will not be disappointed.

My daughter and i went in today. She just turned eighteen and she had wanted a cross and Bible verse for years. So for her birthday we both got a tattoo (mine a quote from Luke 9:23). When I asked in three different groups, Scarecrow Galleries Tattoo company came up in 75% of the responses. Complete strangers were messaging me pictures of the tattoos they loved. We were impressed. The lines are so clean and they are very professional. The entire place was hygienic (Im a mom, that matters. Chuckle). I have two more tattoos planned in the next couple years (my daughter has one other) and there is no one else we would consider going to.

CHAZ was fantastic! He drew me up a custom design and the artwork was beautiful! Had me in the chair for 4 hours and my wife for 3, neither of us experienced any pain. Best tattoo experience either of us have ever had! Will be going back to him for any and all new tattoos. Highly recommend!!!

Worst customer service ever. Theyre art looks good the environment is clean but just because of the appalling way i was treated this place will never get my business. The person at the counter acted like we were the biggest burden simply because we walked in a few minutes past the normal time walk ins are taken we even called first. He has obviously never been to a tattoo shop in deep ellum. I personally would not have turned down a guaranteed profit from 3 simple tattoos that would have taken maybe 20-30 min a piece.

Was a virgin for getting a tattoo. Got my first on 6 Jan 2016 and needless to say was a little nervous. Dont be as Matt was wonderful to work with and put me at ease. He did an awesome tattoo for me!!! Highly recommend him

So couple years ago I went in for a tribal tattoo and spent $1,200 and it covered the line work. It was done by this Alika guy. I told him my budget was $1,200 and only wanted half arm sleeve tribal. Well he kept pushing and said I can also do the chest piece all in the same budget. I said okay thats fine. After 24+ hours in 3 sessions he kept stopping taking breaks and we werent getting anything done and I keep having to pay for every time. Then I call up there and Alika was no longer with them. I was furious. This guy screws me over then leaves. If it wasnt for the Daryl I believe his name was. I wouldve given this a 1 star. I still havent gotten it finished and dont know when I can. Ive washed guys for hours do great work but agree price has been there to bite me here.

I came with two different ideas and Darryl did an amazing job of merging them together. Then when I came back for color he used his expertise to talk me out of what I thought I wanted and we went a different way. We both think it came out great and really balanced it out. I would highly recommend this place.

This is my husbands account, but I have gotten my nose and my belly button pierced here. Both healed wonderfully and they were quick and easy. When my husband decided he wanted a tattoo, I suggested scarecrow, and they did an amazing job on both of his. I am going back soon to get my tongue pierced!

I actually wanted to get a couple tattoos here but the artist I talked to made me not want to get them and did not seem enthusiastic about helping me at all. I was kind of embarrassed for the establishment and I do not recommend coming here they are overpriced and do not make you want to get a new tattoo. go somewhere where people are passionate

Got my first tattoo from Johnny last night. Staff was friendly and not pushy and the shop was very clean and laid back. He even agreed to do the ink with only about 30 minutes until close. Had a great experience and would most definitely go back.

I went in cause I have a swollen helix that I have gotten a few days ago . I wanted them to switch it out to a stud cause they normally heal easier . They switched it out they did a wonderful job . It hurt a little but that’s cause my ear was already sore . Would definitely go back ! The people were also very nice .

After being disrespected by the piercer at another place, I came here. The price was deffinatly worth the service. The man who did my nose piercing was very kind and was much nicer to us. I got my first tattoo here and I just got it touched up, I also got my belly button pierced here. I love this place, i am going here to get every tattoo I want. They are good at communicating and will answer any questions you have. All of my friends are even going here instead of other tattoo places.

I put a down payment down for a tattoo right before the whole Covid 19 shutdown. The day I was supposed to get the tattoo I got a text from the artist saying due to a personal incident he needed to reschedule, which I completely understood. I ended up never hearing back from the artist to reschedule. So thats fine I will just take my business elsewhere.

On Thursday 09/17/15 I went and got my tongue pierced for the third time after it closing the first two times. I was prepared to.be in a world of.hurt afterwards but to my pleasant surprise Im not in much pain at all and its only my third day. Other than a lisp and the swollen being intesnse in the mornings which I take an advil for and Im fine almost instantly. I cant normally and hold a conversation. Kristie was knowledgable and was very thorough with telling me everying that was happening and what she was using and why and I really appreciated that. I will be going back for more piercings. Also the fact that the location is only 5 minutes from.me is an excellent plus as well.

Husband and I went in to see about a tattoo for each of us. The artist we talked to seemed to know his stuff and after reading the reviews we made an appointment to go back for the tattoos. Later in the evening the same artist called and said he another artist had a cancelation and could get us in that night. He said he highly recommended this artist. Once the recommended artist started my husbands tattoo it took about an hour and half. Then he wanted to go to mine. I asked if there would be time and he said yes. This recommended artist rushed my tattoo and watching TV more than my tattoo. When I asked him to pay attention to what he was doing he rudely said he was. My arm clearly said he wasnt cause I was bleeding from him gouging my arm. Afterwards my husband started noticing lines missing in his tattoo and he had more scabbing than he had with any other tattoo, including the at home variety. I kept telling my husband mine hurt still, four days later, like it did when the recommended artist was doing the tattoo. I ended up with scabs all over my tattoo. Where the recommended artist gouged my arm, it scabbed so bad it left a clearly visble indention in my tattoo. Both of our tattoos look like a toddler drew and colored them. Recommended artist, yea right. Clearly this recommended artist had no clue nor want to do his job correctly. As for the tattoo artist that recommended him, either his judgement of a good artist is severely clouded, or he has no clue either. Worst tattoo experience. Will not recommend or return.

Had a fix and color of a poorly started tattoo. The artist fixing and finishing was Matt Dupre. Fantastic work and great service, absolutely recommend him and will be back.

Heard a lot of good things about in person visits. However Jason At scarecrow was very rude and disrespectful towards my friend via Text message. I have the screenshot available. Very unprofessional way to speak to a customer especially when you represent a very highly sought after business. The tattoo job may be great, but the customer service especially from this guy is very bad. Very scummy and rude.

Scarecrow Galleries have some of the best artists in the DFW area. Matt Dupre especially stands-out as my favorite artist as his work is always crisp and clean and has vibrant colors. I definitely recommend Scarecrow Galleries for all your tattoo needs.

I called this parlor to set up an appointment. The guy on the phone said they had no customers so to just come on over. I showed up with my roommate. Three employees were hanging around on couches by the front door. I had to awkwardly stand there while they decided who had to get up and help me. Finally one of them came up to the counter and asked what I wanted. I told him I wanted the words Forget Not on my back. (Family saying that all my siblings have)Then he asked how big I wanted it, because its letters would need to be at least THREE INCHES HIGH. I was shocked. I had never gotten a tattoo before but I know words dont have to be three inches tall. (Two of my brothers have the same words written fairly small circling other pieces of art on their bodies.) He told me it was so they would be clear and the needles just work that way and it was all too complicated for me to understand.I told him, I just dont have that much back. I wanted it small. Dont girls get little names and phrases tattooed onto their ankles?He laughed at me and said he has too must artistic integrity to do shitty work just because I thought it was what I wanted. Then he sorta sketched out what he wanted it to look like. It was in that swirly cursive lettering you often see in tattoos. I didnt like the style because it can sometimes be hard to read. I told him I just wanted it in print. He looked annoyed and told me to hold on when he went into the back.While I was waiting I listened to my roommate and the other employee talk. She asked him how much it would cost to add a heart on her hip. (She already has a tattoo there and she occasionally likes to add a small detail here and there.) He told her he would have to charge a minimum of $65 and she really shouldnt do it because that is wasted real estate. My roommate kind of shrugged it off but this interaction rubbed me the wrong way. That seemed like easy money to me. Why on earth did a tattoo artist just talk her out of getting at tattoo in a tattoo parlor?The first employee returned to the counter with some examples of the swirly cursive text I did not want. I told him again this is not what I wanted. I pointed to multiple signage around the shop giving him examples of what I wanted. Basic PRINT lettering. He told me he cant do that unless I bring him an example of the Forget Not written in print. He handed me a scrap of paper where he made two marks about 3 inches apart and said to go home, print off what I want from a computer and make sure it was at least that high.I walked out of there cash still in my wallet, back still without tattoo and totally shocked by the experience. I never went back and have never even gone to another place for my tattoo.This. Place. Sucks

Bethany is an extraordinarily gifted artist and while the studio doesnt look like much from outside, inside the place is clean and comfortable.I look forward to getting a larger piece soon.

Kinda over priced piercings but they know what their doing and got the jewelry I wanted for my piercing but $30 per hole is kind expensive js.. Since the hardware is $20 a hardware when I can buy it at $7 a piece of hardware online. And yes its the same material as the hardware they had same size they sold me etc... Just not customer made hardware just regular hardware.

Got my ears done hear, great place for any tattoo or piercing need, well worth my time and money, Scarecrow not only has a spotless clean piercing room, they have great clean tattoo booths, and couches for the kiddies.
