The shop is located in a beautiful area and the shop itself is awesome- looove the vibes and decor. Dom tattooed myself and my husband and we had a great experience. Not only are Dom and Drew dope people to just hangout with but they are both very talented with their work. Will definitely be coming back soon with more ideas! I get compliments on my tattoo all the time and always tell ppl to hit them up. I’ve also recommended friends and family to come get tatted here too! 🙌

The best tattoo artist you’ll ever go to! I booked with Drew back in october and gave me the best experience and made me feel very comfortable in the studio. Him and all of the other artist are beyond talented and great people. I can confidently say that anything he draws or creates will be a beautiful piece on my body and will be satisfied regardless. Got tattooed by Dominique, and Im THRILLED!!!This is now one of my best and favorite tattoos.She is so damn talented and kind.The other artists in the shop are also very kind and freaking amazing artists. A friend of mine got tattooed there, which is why i went there too, and all of his pieces are amazingly done. You all should definitely book your next piece there!

Lights out is one of the best in Santa Cruz county!! I highly recommend them! Dom and Drew are both amazing artists who are constantly blowing me away with every new piece they put out there. I’ve only gone to Dom for a few flash pieces (that I love) and hopefully one day soon I’ll go and get a bigger piece. The line work that both of them put out is amazing to me. Good vibes all around, and their shop feels like home away from home.

Literally don’t know where to begin with this! Dom and Drew are quite honestly the best tattoo couple ever, they actually care about the art they put on peoples body, they take so much time towards drawing dope pieces, you walk into the shop and feel a sense of coziness, and you just feel like you’re chillin with homies watching movies, chatting and getting amazing artwork! Since I met Drew he’s done all my pieces, and I can’t imagine ever going to another tattoo shop! At this point I trust any design he comes up with cause I know he will create a one of a kind piece, I’d fly across the country for this shop!

Drew is phenomenal! So creative and talented! I went to him for my first tattoo and went back for a second (and I’m very picky!)! He’s quick, but precise with the needle, and super friendly and chill to hangout with during the session! I get compliment after compliment on his work! 10/10

I went to Drew for a walk-in coverup tattoo on my arm almost a year ago, and I continue to get compliments on the piece daily. I’m so in love with it, I often forget that it was a coverup. Drew was responsive and careful, and you can tell he truly cares about what he does. I have quite a few smaller tattoos, including a flash piece from Dom, and both of their tattoos are the best done pieces on my body. The shop is incredibly welcoming and clean, and I felt very comfortable during my sessions. I cannot recommend this shop enough, I have referred multiple friends and family members who have all similarly had overwhelmingly positive experiences. They really are the best around!

Its hard to find people whose talent is as impressive as their attitude, but youll find just that at this shop. Drew and Dom are two of the most rad people youre going to meet, and when you bring in the fact that theyre phenomenal tattoo artists then it would be silly to not get work done by them. Theyre extremely professional, run a clean shop, and are a blast to hangout with while they work. Seriously, do yourself a favor and get a piece done by either of them. I had an absolutely stellar experience at Lights Out. Upon entering I was immediately warmly welcomed by both Drew and Dom who are so amazingly friendly, funny, and caring--my experience with them made me feel like we were all old friends who had known each other for years. The shop itself is SO comfortable, like, I could see myself going to just hang out there because they did such an A1 job giving the place a super inviting vibe (especially with that lil fire place during the winter ). The conversation was upbeat, funny, and real--which helped me stay distract from the tattooing. Drew hit the nail so hard on the head with the design he did for me, and the irony: I wrote less than a paragraph in my idea email to him... dude has a great way of making art that fits the space and flows with the body placement, and is STUNNING. The shop is a quaint cottage tucked away in a beautiful redwood forest, with plenty of natural light. Both Dom and Drew are kind, talented, and professional artists. My tattoo was done by Dom, and it did not disappoint. She took my reference images and made a beautiful, original piece that was better than what I could have imagined on my own. Went and got my first machine tattoo from Drew and he made me feel comfortable and checked in on how I was doing throughout the process. The art was beyond what I could have imagined. So unbelievably stoked to have this amazing shop open up in Santa Cruz. The owners/artists are super dope people with amazing skill sets and range. The shop feels like walking into a homies place--immediately welcoming and at home. Its super clean (I would almost eat off the floor), and has the nicest bathroom Ive seen in ages (yeah, weird to mention maybe, but its clean, nice, smells good, and as a lady its super extra special to see that there are tampons if you so happen to need--just those extra little touches that show the owners go above and beyond in caring for their clients). I felt super confident and barely nervous at all coming to my first appointment here. The owners carry themselves in such a professional manner, yet also super chill and friendly.
