I had such a great experience getting inked by Emily Grocki at pretty and pinked. Alix the owner was not only beautiful she was so kind and friendly. She made me feel welcome the moment I walked into her shop. Alix and her shop and all the artists were amazing. I got exactly what I wanted and am so happy with my tattoo. Alix and Emily made sure it was just what I wanted where I wanted it and they both made me so comfortable and at ease. I will definitely be coming back soon. This shop was gorgeous fun kind and just beautiful. Loved the whole experience at pretty and pinked.

Alix such a talented artist. She took her time to ensure the design was exactly right! She also helped my indecision about body placement for my larger tattoo (not pictured). She made us feel comfortable and was an absolute delight. My tattoos turned out exactly how I wanted them and couldn’t be happier! Well worth the wait! The studio vibe is perfect and VERY clean.

I received a tattoo from Alix last week and had SUCH a great experience! The studio is clean and cute, everyone was so nice, and Alix is amazingly talented. I really appreciated how meticulous she was with applying the stencil and adjusting the size to make sure my tattoo would lay correctly on my arm. I have 7 other tattoos but there’s something about being in a women-owned studio made me so much more comfortable. I wish I could give 10 stars! I plan to be back!

Emily at Pretty and pINKED is the artist I had for the 3 tattoos I got this weekend. This was my first time to the studio and it’s clean and welcoming. Emily was very welcoming as well as thorough in her process of aftercare instructions even though I had already been tattooed before which to me is important because that means she’s doing what she needs to and a great job. I got mine done by Tiffany and she was the sweetest and did such an amazing job! Amazing experience, love my newest tattoo! Paige, who is an apprentice at the shop, did my tattoo for my granddaughter and Im extremely happy with it! She was very helpful and informative during the whole appointment and I would definitely come back! The studio was very clean, sanitary, and provided a lovely experience for a tattoo! Alix also was very welcoming and very helpful while Paige was tattooing me!

Just got back home after getting 2 fine-line tattoos from Apprentice Emily and am completely impressed with the entire experience. The shop is located in downtown Auburn Hills which is in a beautiful area and it fits in perfectly. Walking into the shop it is welcoming, feminine, classy, the staff was friendly, I felt very comfortable and I am loving all the pink accents. Emily had some great designs to choose from but I couldn’t pass up these flowers; she showed me several different size and placement options on my forearm and I am extremely satisfied with how they turned out. I will definitely be coming back for more.

Love love loved my experience with Alix a couple of months ago and my experience yesterday with Paige! Both of them did a fabulous job and I’m so happy with my tattoos. It’s such a positive and warm place, both appointments were spent chatting and laughing! Can’t wait for the next one!

I’ve gotten 4 total tattoos from Alix’s studio, and I honestly I constantly want more! 3 of the tattoos were by Alix herself and she did phenomenal on each and everyone of them, and my newest is by one of her apprentices Taylor.Taylor is soo nice and just amazing! The pumpkin I got is so cute! She added some extra touches to the pumpkin I wasn’t expecting to really make it pop in such a cute simple way, I love it soo much! I look forward to seeing more designs from her and the rest of The pretty and Pinked team!The studio is clean and Alix does an amazing job at keeping everything up to code.She’s very knowledgeable when it comes to fine line, and tattooing, her care instructions are very clear and understandable, and she’s so understanding and listens to her clients.

I had such a great experience here and Tiffany was so kind and patient! I sometimes get nervous about having to keep redoing the placement for tattoos but she made me feel super comfortable! The girl at the front was also so sweet (and had such beautiful tattoos) I will be back!

Alix is absolutely the best ! This was my second tattoo with her. From the scheduling of the appointment to the day of everything is well communicated and professional. The space is adorable and clean. My tattoos are everything and more.

I got a tattoo today by Tiffany. First of all this place is extremely cute, and everyone is so nice. Second, I have two other tattoos (done by different shops), and i was SHOOK when I saw the quality of this one. I love it so so much. The lines are so crisp and clean. As soon as I walked into pretty and pinked it was literally cutest tattoo shop ever! Emily is one of the apprentices at pretty and pinked and she did my first ever tattoo and she was amazing!! She was so patient and made me feel very comfortable. I will definitely be back:)

I visited Pretty and Pinked today and was tattooed by Paige! She was so patient and kind. I had a simple butterfly done and it came out perfect! Paige was knowledgeable and took time with me to work out the placement. I love it and can’t wait to come back for more!

Paige is an apprentice at the shop who did my tattoo and she did an amazing job! She was so careful with placement and making sure everything was just right. Had an Amazing experience!!My tattoo artist was Taylor. She wrote my late dogs name in cursive on my forearm and I love it. The line work is perfect. The environment was so warm and friendly I felt like I was getting a tattoo at home!

Ive been here twice now and there is a reason I came back! Ive gotten both my tattoos done by Alix and she is so lovely to work with. She has got a lot of years tattooing under her belt so her work is really delicate and sharp. My first one is four months healed and looks really great still. She also did a touch up this time around for me while I was there for a new one.I will say Alixs rate is high and the shops waitlist is long. Obviously you can get a tattoo elsewhere for cheaper and quicker but youre paying for the expertise of fine line which isnt too common around the MI area. Overall, if you are looking to get a dainty yet detailed piece I highly recommend this shop. (Also think the shop environment is great for first timers and veterans alike!)

I can’t say enough good things about this place! A coworker recommended this place and after seeing their work on Instagram I decided to book. From the moment you walk in you can sense great energy and passion behind the business. I got a tattoo about 4 inches wide on my ribs and was extremely nervous at the start of the appointment only due to the fact that this was my second tattoo and my first was a very very small tattoo. Alix took the time to listen to my wants and worries and made me feel very comfortable. By the time I seen the final result I was overjoyed that it had come out so perfect!

Obsessed is an understatement!Alix the owner is so awesome and friendly. She makes you feel welcomed the second you walk in the door. She explains the whole process, inputs what she thinks is best to help you make the right choice for your tattoo. She is very knowledgeable and makes you feel comfortable in the decisions you are making.They have four apprentices in training and they are SO good! Snow White and the rose were done by Emily! She is so nice and really makes sure you are getting what you want! Her style is so fun and who doesn’t love a good princess tattoo!The three little flowers were done by Paige! Being as she also has a variety of tattoos she helps you decide placements if you are having trouble where it fits in best (that’s always my problem)So excited to see these girls take the tattoo world by storm 💖

I had an incredible experience at pretty and PINKED. Despite making my appointment over a year ago, it was definitely worth the wait. The space was adorable and impeccably clean, with both artists diligently sanitizing everything after each client. Alix, my artist, was incredibly attentive and thoughtful. She took the time to show me various size and layout options for my two pieces, ensuring they were exactly what I wanted. She checked in on placement, confirmed colors, and made sure I was comfortable before starting. The final result was absolutely stunning—delicate and elegant, just as I had hoped. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I have to give a big shout out to Alix and her business for their well-deserved success.

Jenna did a wonderful job on my tattoo! It is a memorial tattoo and she worked with me and was very patient while I worked out the size and placement. She was also very caring when I got emotional. Although this was not my first tattoo, this was my first time at this shop and Ive been recommending it to everyone. Very clean and very professional!

I want to start off by saying the art OF COURSE drew me in. Alixs fine line work is gorgeous. But, what made me book my 1st appointment was my friends review of how comfortable of an environment pretty and pINKED provides.A lot of other tattoo shops make me feel so uneasy when I walk in the door - dusty, filthy, foul language left and right, dark music and movies playing in the background. I get its a vibe for some and its nice they have a place they can go to.. but Alix understood there was a need for something new, especially a place women can confidently walk into and feel welcome!!!Not only am I going to leave with the perfect fine line tattoo, but also a fun experience and great conversation from a girls girl.After my 1st session, I was HOOKED (like many are) and HAPPILY hopped on her waitlist for another. Ive been back 3 or 4 times now and everytime I feel like Im hanging out with a friend who happens to be tattooing me. I can not thank Alix and her team enough for constantly finding ways to enhance the experience and make tattooing FUN and easy!!Alix has taken the time to help me plan my pieces and has great advice and input. She is honest when it comes to placement and detail. She enhanced some of my existing tattoos to blend in with my new pieces from her - which is a DREAM COME TRUE to be able to look a bit more cohesive. I didnt think it was possible, but she worked her magic for me!!!!Ive even taken part in a flash tattoo event where I chose from pre-selected pieces because I trust her work and knew I would walk away happy!!!!I recommend to anyone who has a tough time waiting for a slot to peek at her team who she trains to move the needle just like her, and to follow along on IG and TURN ON THOSE ALERTS! She will give away missed/canceled appointments and is always pouring more of her precious time into appointments when she can. Trust the process pretty & pINKED IS WORTH IT!!!!

Unprepared, rude, overcharged, tattoos DO NOT LAST. 3 of our 4 pieces from Alix have significant fading within weeks despite us caring for them (keeping out of the sun, keeping moisturized).No free touch ups, even if its her work that just doesnt stick. Dont come here. Youre better off spending the lucrative amount somewhere else on something that will stay and will be of similar, if not better quality

Dont get a tattoo from Alix.TLDR: Very rude, unprepared, overcharges, doesnt do free touch ups even when her permanent work fades in 2 WEEKS, and if you suggest she should, she quintuples the cost of a touch up on a whim.She emailed us the morning of our appointment that she couldnt view the reference images we sent 6 months prior. Inhospitable upon entry, very rude to us (didnt even say hi or introduce herself). Spent the first 2 hours of our appointment drawing the designs (which she admitted she normally does well in advance but she just didnt for this appt). One of the pieces was commemorative for my girlfriends late father (which we made very clear), and she proceeded to talk horribly about the topic of death and her friend who (unfortunately) passed, saying how stupid he was and how he got what he deserved, without ever commenting or even asking about the details of the circumstances of my GFs fathers death.She made rude comments on my light snacking through our 6 hour appointment (very funny and ironic if you ever meet her).The pieces looked good the day of. She proceeded to charge us for the 2 hours of time she spent drawing and making us wait. We thought this was wrong, but were happy with the work and wanted to extend some courtesy to her and even tipped on top of the overcharged cost (charged us for 5 hours when she worked on us for just about 3.5).When 3 of the 4 pieces she did had SIGNIFICANT fading within 2 WEEKS of getting them, we asked if shed be willing to touch them up since they obviously faded because her work was incomplete and too thin, not from user error (we have many other tatts, none have ever faded like this before).She got offended and redacted her normal couple hundred dollar touch up fee and said shed only do it for her normal cost, which would be a couple hundred dollars more.The rest of her staff was very combative and rude over emails.Just a bunch of entitled artists thinking they can charge whatever they want and get a cash grab out of a grieving client looking for a good quality commemorative piece. We will never return and luckily found another artist to finish Alixs workTerrible people.

Wow! I had the pleasure of getting a tattoo from Alix. The vibe of the space was relaxed and professional. Alix was personable and professional. My tattoo is exactly as I imagined it was going to be. I cannot wait to go back!

I’ve been to this studio now multiple times and with another appointment on the books! I went tonight for a flash event and Tiffany did an absolutely amazing job on my piece!! She’s absolutely killing it in her apprenticeship!

Came here for my first tattoo and it was the best experience I could have asked for. The women here are so welcoming, professional, and good at their work. Cleaning practices were thorough and easy to see, the overall building was welcoming, and Alix was friendly and walked me through every step. I will definitely come back for future tattoos!

Ever since I’ve found Alix there’s been no looking back! She always kills it and brings my ideas to life. I constantly get stopped when people see my tattoos because they are just that amazing and I always give them all of her info because her work speaks for itself. Very difficult to work with! I was hoping for a collaborative effort to make sure my tattoo was what I wanted. And responses were rude and unprofessional when I asked for small changes MONTHS before my appointment. My appointment time was changed without asking and then later canceled when I tried to make sure the finalized tattoo was what I want. I was truly excited to come to your establishment as online it looks great! But disappointed with the lack of clear communication and disregard for my time and money.

Alix is the best fine line tattoo artist i’ve been too! Her artwork is professional and tasteful. She is super easy to work with too! I would recommend her to everyone and anyone!

The studio space was welcoming and relaxing, not to mention it smelled amazing with the fall candle in the lobby.Emily did my tattoo and her artwork is beautiful! I had a flash custom script done on my arm. She was very personable and professional, making sure I was happy with the size/placement before we began and was also very thorough explaining the aftercare instructions - much appreciated. Emily and Taylor were even so kind to get me apple juice and a snack, as I started to feel faint (during the prep lol). Such great care and so sweet. I highly recommend pretty and pINKED and will definitely be back for future tattoos!
