Ransom is by far the best person one can hope for when getting any sort of tattoo done! He is killer with his tattoos and always makes your dream a reality. Big or small he takes your ideas and makes them unique for you. The shop atmosphere is always positive and welcoming! Filled with beautiful designs, artwork, and clothing as well. I would and have recommended him to anyone I know! You’re not just getting a tattoo you’re getting an experience you won’t regret! 10/10 all around!

I just got pierced by the lovely Christina at Ransom tattoo gallery. She was very welcoming and super sweet. She made me feel super comfortable and walked me through what she was doing. I love my new piercing and will be back again to get more!!! The environment of the business is also super comforting and everyone is so nice. I highly recommend!

Found Ransom Tattoo from a Google search while looking for a piercing place near me and it was the only place with five stars. What a great shop! I called at about 2:45 and asked if there was availability that day, they said someone was there until 3 or I could come after 5. I tried to get there before 3 but just missed the piercer. Ransom was tattooing someone but said if I could wait about 30 minutes, he could do it. I walked around Ballston Spa, which is a super cute walkable town, and came back. Ransom was super helpful and made the piercing experience a breeze. Besides the amazing customer service, the shop was clean and fun. I love the jewelry selection. The art is beautiful. The fact that they have shop merch is awesome. I will absolutely be back!

I stopped in for a piercing and was seen quickly by Shannon Ashley. She was very thorough in making sure everything was sterile and organized prior to my piercing. She ensured I was comfortable before quickly providing me with two new piercings! I cannot wait to return and have my jewelry switched out once healed. I cannot recommend Ransom and his crew enough!

Ive been to the shop now twice. Once for my nose piercing and the other to swap out a conch piercing. Both times my experience was great. The shop is super cute. Ransom is very easy to chat with, he explained the process step by step and made me feel super comfortable. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a piercing and will definitely be going back.

I have come to this shop a few times for piercing and tattoos. Ransom took care of both and was awesome!! He did my septum piercing in June and it was a great experience and super easy. I love it! Dropped by Ransom Tattoo a little while ago for a few piercings. my first time meeting him and he was awesome! he made sure i was comfortable and asked questions while i waited. he asked if i was comfortable letting an apprentice pierce me. he is very knowledgeable, and was taking her thru the process. i felt i was in good hands! thanks guys!

This place was recommended to me by a friend of mine. Awesome experience! Very clean! Shannon is an apprentice for Ransom, and I let her pierce my navel. For someone who is newer to piercing, she was super sweet and calming. I was super nervous and insecure but she never made me feel uncomfortable! Definitely recommend!

I had a great time doing a guest spot at Ransom tattoo gallery. The entire crew extended genuine hospitality and made the visit a breeze. Lots of traffic coming through in a great little historic downtown location with plenty of food options and plenty of things to do. Ransom Tattoo has a great atmosphere and an amazing staff! I got my 2nd lobes and helix pierced by Christina, and she did great! The shop is very clean and they are very transparent about each step they take. They have everything you need for aftercare in shop as well! Very friendly people who know what they’re doing, I’d 100% recommend visiting!

I got my daith pierced here and they are extremely knowledgeable and well versed in this industry. It’s easy to see by how much education they give you about properly caring for your new piercing. It was almost painless and they have a good amount of jewelry to choose from which is really nice. I’ll be back for sure for any more piercings in the future!

I got an ear-piecing done by Shelby and she was amazing. I got vary scared when doing it and she walked me through the whole thing so I wasn’t scared. Also she was vary clean changing her gloves multiple times and cleaned vary well. She was amazing.

I had such a great experience at Ransom Tattoo Gallery! It was my first time there, but I will absolutely be back to have more work done. My artist was Melissa, who did an excellent job on my half sleeve. She is easy to talk with, highly knowledgeable, and an amazing artist. The shop was clean, tidy, and an overall great place to get a tattoo. I’m already two days into my recovery, and I’ve had no complications whatsoever.Melissa is seriously the best, and you should absolutely consult with her for your next appointment!

I got my first tattoo with Melissa yesterday. It came out wonderfully, and I am super happy with it! Being my first time getting tattooed I was unsure going into it how the process would be, but I felt totally comfortable there. The whole place gave off good energy and everyone was friendly and inviting. I will definitely be coming back. Would %100 recommend:)

Me and my best friend entered the shop on a whim to get a simple matching tattoo, with no appointment.We didn’t have to wait long at all and we were lucky enough to be assigned as Daryl’s canvases. Daryl was extremely sweet and thorough with all the work done. They are extremely precise tattoos and definitely a new favorite. We had a basic idea and let Daryl’s artistic ability decide the rest and could not be more content. On top of all of it, it was also made sure we completely understood aftercare for the best results. Overall everyone there and the entire building just gave off great vibes and we will definitely be returning.

Great place to get your first tat. I got two tattoos here and I absolutely love them. Daryl was the artist who did both my pieces what can I say, she finessed both of them. The first one was a matching tat I got about two months with my best friend. This tat is shaded in a way that gives the picture realistic texture which is why I love it so much. (Her skills with styling different types of text probably contribute to why the shading and edges look so good) The last one I had done 5 days ago and is healing up nicely. This one was also a cover up/redo of an old tattoo that I didnt like. She styled the new tat I asked for in a way that perfectly either covered up or used the old ink as part of the new picture. Im so glad I gave her complete freedom to improvise this piece the way she did. Her work is detailed vibrant and clean.

Very fun experience at Ransom Tattoo! Walking in the place is very clean with Artist artwork displayed all over the wall. The shop minimum is clearly posted so you know what to expect. Got a very minimalist tattoo and was the first I’ve gotten in 12 years. It was fairly painless and did not take the artist very long. A very clean and very precise tattoo! Went to ransom tattoo for a shoot what you get charity tattoo. They were friendly and welcoming. The tattoo came out great and I plan on coming back for another piece. The shop also had a great little selection of jewelry and knik-nacks for sale so I bought a cool ring too.

I started a multi-session tattoo on my leg with Ransom yesterday and I had a great experience. His shop is clean, bright, and welcoming to all, and its obvious that he has extensive experience tattooing all different styles. He took an idea that I described verbally and turned it into a series of beautiful images overnight. While pricey, Im prepared to pay for high quality work completed in a safe setting, and anyone who is also about that life should try and get on his schedule!

Ransom finished my leg piece this past weekend - keeping the appointment we had even with the snowstorm! - and I had a second great experience. Him and Shannon made me feel comfortable in the shop, worked with me on my selections to make sure that what I was requesting was actually what I wanted the design to look like when healed, etc. I cant recommend him highly enough and will be requesting his services again should I want to do more work in the future.

I wanted to wait until my tattoo was fully healed before I posted a picture. I’m really happy with my tattoo and the shop was very clean and professional. I would 100% recommend checking out the awesome work they can do. I can’t remember the name of the artist who did my tattoo but he was a good conversation and managed to squeeze me in last minute. He also does really good cover ups and large pieces, will be returning in the future. Overall 10/10 go check them out!!

Great tattoo shop, my tattoo came out perfectly. All the lines are nice and crisp and shading, even though I let the artist do what he thought would look good, came out perfect. He has a good head for it, and did more intricate line work than other shops were comfortable with who turned me away. Both mike (artist) and his wife (who runs the desk) are very kind and reasonable people. Also everything was very sanitary and I watched him completely and properly clean up after his last appoint and re-set up from scratch with all new equipment and and paper towels and saran wrap for everything. I would absolutely get another tattoo from here and I recommend it as well.

I first met Ransom years back when he did a gorgeous tat for my daughter, to honor my father. We didn’t even have a pic to show him. He did a beautiful job. I vowed to never go elsewhere. Went again last night and got a pretty butterfly. Super talented tattoo artist. Love Ransom. Love his fiancée. Very personable, sweet people. And they both kept me in stitches, the entire time!

The owner made it a point to make sure me and my friends were comfortable, which resulted in a great first tattoo experience. Would definitely recommend, especially if you have anxiety or first time jitters. The environment was welcoming and positive!

I have several tattoos by Ransom. All are beautiful and have held up fantastic. Bright and colorful. The new shop is fantastic. Clean and covered in flash. I shopped for antiques as I waited and walked out with new ink and a few vintage pieces.

Ransom and Shannon are the nicest people from the moment you walk in to the second you walk out the door. Ransom will listen to your ideas and then give honest feedback on how to improve it so you absolutely love what you get. I couldn’t recommend a better shop to go get a tattoo!

I was in town for the car show and decided to stop in for information on getting my very first tattoo. I explained what I wanted and he put on paper exactly what I had Invisioned. I decided right there to get the tattoo and I couldnt be happier. I will be going back to have a few things added and for another tattoo on my other arm. Went to Ransom for my first tattoo with my friends and he was super kind and professional! He gave me many options for my tattoo sizes and helped me feel at ease while getting it. Its been two days since i took my second skin off and it looks great! The healing process has been easy and it is healing well.
