I took my daughter to get a nose piercing today and everyone in there was super nice. The owner Rock was excellent! He was friendly, very funny loved his personality and great at what he does. Highly recommend!!

I have been going to Rock City since I was 13 years old. I just turned 30 in February, so for many, many years, and I wont go to any other tattoo or piercing shop cause I dont trust anyone but Rock and his crew! When you walk in, you are welcomed like family. Rock has always been such a good friend to me and my father. He is a people person for sure. A jokester, and he has a heart full of gold. The shop is very clean and they sanitize everything! Rock does an amazing job with piercings, and the tattoo artist Ronnie is quiet but takes his time on your piece and really listens to what you want. He is a very talented guy. This is the place to go to. Rock will always take care of you no matter what! His word is his bond. Im telling you the best tattoo/ piercing shop around!I got a memorial piece tattoo yesterday for my parents and myself cause we are all Pisces, and I couldnt be happier with how it turned out! I didnt really have a picture to go off of. I told Ronnie my ideas, and he pulled it all together for me. Ill be going back for more tattoos in the upcoming months. Thanks for everything, Rock ❤️

So for the 17 years I owned a deli a couple blocks from Rock City. Rocc was beyond just a great customer, we exchanged many small business stories over the years. Where do I begin with how terrible my experience was?! Yesterday I called about a nose piercing and was told that I could walk in the next day as they would be open late. I confirmed with the owner more than once as I would be driving from 30 minutes away (I was willing to make the trip because of the affordable pricing and seemingly good reviews — clearly I should’ve checked the one-star ratings). When I arrived, the owner said that he would be closing early because he had a party to go to (keep in mind that I arrived one hour before closing).I told him that the call from the day before was misleading because he confirmed that I could walk-in. That is when he became SO nasty and unthinkably rude. He said that he speaks to so many customers that he didn’t remember the call. He said that he didn’t want to give me a piercing because he was all alone, didn’t know who I was, and that I could hurt him. HUH? Who says that to a customer?! I’ve never in my life heard a business person say that. Yes, a young woman is going to hurt that old creep.. Right -__- btw, professional places take down your license, so I don’t know why he’d even say he didn’t know who I was. When I said that he was rude and I wouldn’t be getting a piercing with him, he started cursing me out (dropping eff bombs and telling me to leave). That was genuinely the worst customer service experience I have ever had in my entire life. Run away from this place! Oh and btw he kept addressing me as “lady” and “kid” — that in and of itself is unacceptable in a professional environment. I hope this place shuts down. Gross. I already know he’s going to say the craziest stuff in response to this, so please make sure to read his insanely unhinged and repulsive comments and run away.Thankfully, I just got my nose pierced by a normal, service-oriented piercer who values his customers and doesn’t treat them like garbage. Shoutout to Ernest from Hudson Tattoo. Go there instead!

I dont get why there are so many bad reviews but places are always going to have negatives and positives. My experience at this shop has ALWAYS been positive. The owner has done my nipple piercings three times in the last 6 years (I took them out the first time because I didnt listen about changing the jewelry, second time I was pregnant and now I wanted them back to feel like me again). He has always been respectful and professional. I literally flew from California to New Jersey just to get them done with him because I only feel comfortable and trust him! Highly recommend.

We both had a bad experience at a different shop where we first got our piercings and can confidently say that Rock City was 1000x better than the previous shop we went to. I have had several tattoos done here and as always Rock was great. His artist Jamie took his time to draw my sketch and to bring it to life in ways I never thought possible. Seeing that I have 8 tattoos already this was by far the quickest one since all the other ones are much bigger. Jamie was understanding and made me feel safe and comfortable the entire time. Jamie really did the memory of my grandmother justice for me this is priceless!

My friend and I were out to lunch and decided to be crazy and get matching tattoos. We googled the nearest shop near us and found this place. The reviews were a mix but I’m so glad we decided on this shop. They accommodated us even though we didn’t have an appointment. The owner was very nice and gave us water and lollipops. Came here with my friends for my septum piercing !!!! Rock is super cool, and the piercing was quick and smooth. when I felt dizzy I was given a wet towel + candies and was taken care of till I felt better, felt super safe and my piercing is healing super well! 🤗

Rock city tattoo is an amazing shop. They do excellent work. My girlfriend and I came here years ago to get matching tattoos and had a great experience of comfort and felt like family. I called today to get a piercing removed and Rock took care of me and explained to me exactly what the issue was with my piercing and removed it with no pain or issues.

I went to Rock City Tattoos and Piercings to get a helix piercing on both of my ears. They are very organized and punctual so, as soon as the paperwork was filed I went in to get my piercings. I got my work done by Rock and he was extremely nice. He took his time to get to know his clients and put up a wide spectrum of topics to take my mind off the piercing. The procedure itself was very sanitary. Rock made sure to clean the area and we had to make a change due to a minor deformity on my cartilage, which he managed well. He wore his mask and gloves properly and made sure to dispose of the needles in between the piercings. Rock offered himself to me for any circumstances that may occur with my piercings and gave me great tips on healing them and what to do if any bumps occur. The other staff members were also very kind and seemed enthusiastic in the work environment. Overall, I was overwhelmingly pleased by the service and would recommend to anyone for piercings or tattoos. May God Bless your business Rocky!

I have been going to Rocks for the past 4 or 5 years, Ive had at least 4 of my tattoos done there. My niece has had her nose pierced there twice. I have also brought friends who have also had at least 3 or more tattoos there. Rock is very pleasant, with a great sense of humor. I went to Rock City for a cover up tattoo . The shop is warm and inviting. The staff are friendly and very kind. The establishment itself, is spotless . My tattoo took three hours to complete but the great atmosphere made the session seem like half an hour. I highly recommend Rock City for people of all ages. I havent been to Rock City since I got my last piercings done maybe 6 years ago. I shouldve wrote a review back then but better late than never, right? Rock did all my piercings as well as my sons and friends. He was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor which made us feel more relaxed and the experience much more pleasant. So today, years later were going back for more piercings and Im sure itll be the same great experience as our last few times. Cant wait! Just one more thing...LISTEN and do what they say in regards to caring for your piercing/tattoo. They know what theyre taking about.

I called this place multiple times in the time span of a month to make an appointment. I left voicemails, filled out information on the website and everything… no response. I called one last time and they answered. I made an appointment about one week out from my trip to Belleville. I talked to the owner and he asked for my artwork. I Even went out of my way to photoshop the design on a picture of my own finger. I gave him the picture of what I wanted. I also explained there were two of us. He asked where I lived. I explained I was out of state. He said that would be fine but then asked if we were college girls. Very confused as to why that was asked or necessary information, I told him no. He said it would be ok still. Never asked for a deposit, but gave me a price when I asked.We showed up about 15 minutes early. We were greeted and I explained we had a 4pm tattoo appointment. All of the sudden the person who I assume was the owner (same voice from the phone call) had no idea what I was talking about. He didn’t know there were two of us so two appointments. He didn’t know what time it currently was or what my artwork was or where it was going. I refreshed his memory. He then stated that he “thought” he could make our appointment still work even though he didn’t plan for it. He didn’t ask the artist working if that was ok he just said they’d “figure it out” and that he didn’t expect us to show up. I said I was shocked. He then told me to not be shocked. He then asked why I was shocked. I explained that I made an appointment and I expected him to be ready for us. He explained that because we were foreigners (his words) that we wouldn’t show up. So because us being “foreigners” he just did not even scheduled our appointments at all. He then asked me if this was my first tattoo. I explained it wasn’t. He then said he would take our ID to start paperwork. I looked at my friend and she stated how uncomfortable she was with the situation and the treatment of his customers. So we agreed to go somewhere else.VERY thankful that I didn’t give him a deposit and we were able to walk out. Would not reccommend if you care about good customer service.——Also I just read his reply…. I came from Indiana. I have never been to Minnesota. Also…. From other reviews it looks like he needs a calendar and an appointment book. Glad he has shown his true colors to others…..so unprofessional.

I just got my septum pierced here and it was PAINLESS. I got there very nervous thinking it will hurt but Rock did it so quick I almost didn’t feel anything. I absolutely love everything here! I am a 21 year old female and I felt super comfortable and at ease here. They were playing The Lion King so that’s an extra bonus! I love my tattoo and I got my ears pierced here and everyone was so sweet and kind! 10/10!

Rock is awesome!! Im the biggest chicken for piercings and he spent so much time talking to me and my friends and calming me down before doing the piercing. Always does an amazing job. I got my rook, tragus and nose done there about a year ago and it was perfect. I recently just got my tongue done and it was great. He makes you feel very comfortable and after the piercing if you feel a little weird he is very understanding and comforting. Highly recommend!

I called this shop and explained in detail to the owner what I wanted done. He said fine he could do it. I made an appointment for that Wednesday. Got to my appointment just for him to say he cant do the tattoo because it may fade.. Ok fine so I left.. But I was just on Instagram and I saw that hes done 2 tattoos recently in the exact place that I wanted to be tatted.. Which leaves me to believe that he over booked, because someone came in around the same time that I did, and you can tell they had a prior relationship.. I wouldve understood if he just stated he couldnt do it on that day. But why have me come there, just to say you cant do something.. Especially when I explained over the phone what I wanted done.

I am re doing this review because when I went to Rock City, the man who was fixing my piercing literally asked me to write a review of the place and watched me do it. The whole time he was really creepy and I felt very weird being alone with him as a young female. The people who worked at the front desk were really nice but the man was just really really creepy and pervy and I would not recommend this place, especially if you are going alone. However, he did change my nose ring free of charge and when he couldnt put in the one that I brought, he gave me one for free.

I was so nervous getting my nose pierced. I have a fear of needles but always wanted it. The lady greeted me at the door and assured me thorough out the whole conversation. Rock was the absolute best! Held conversation with me making it comfortable as possible. His jokes is funny and he gets to know his customers! My whole process took at 20 minutes! I just got my nose pierced here about 3 hours ago I like this place the staff members are very polite. Rocky the person who was doing my nose I love him he’s super sweet a very nice person and he’s funny too. My mom said to me when we walked out the store saying he’s a polite man with a good heart. My experience was good. Everyone was nice and the owner was very friendly. However, I am upset that my ear piercings are uneven and that the man who pierced them had said, “let me check if they’re even” right after he already pierced them. I guess I should have checked myself before but I was nervous and wanted to get it over with and had trusted that he would make them even.

This shop is run by a beautiful man whose heart is so big that when you meet him you are bound to feel safe, respected and taken care of. Ive been there twice, for a septum piercing and a bridge piercing. Both times were great, the shop is clean and welcoming and everyone is really friendly! Rock seems to really care about his work, which I think is a little unusual for piercers. In my experience, most tend to just do it because its a way to make quick cash. He is very fun to be around, and made me laugh so much I didnt even notice the pain. You can absolutely trust his recommendations for jewelry, placement, and aftercare. Im kind of extra wary of piercers, because so many seem to have no idea what they are doing. So If I trust Rock to pierce me, believe me, you can. I dont know about the quality of the tattoos as I have never had one done here, but I would recommend this to anyone looking for a piercing!

Went into Rock City All the way from the Bronx, NY after giving them a brief call. Very friendly over the phone.Walked in and was greeted and taken care of with paper work immediately. Very very relaxed place, some shops can be intimidating but Rock City was awesome.Only waited for about 5 minutes before Rock called us in for my nose piercing.Great convo and the experience was so pleasant that my girl decided to get a piercing too!!I have an extensive background of customer service and this is textbook customer service.PS, ALWAYS BUY THE SEA SALT SPRAY! IT WORKS WONDERS!!!!

Great staff. Really friendly. Me and my best friend went there for piercings and they make you feel comfortable and welcome. Definitely recommend and would go there again for any other piercings. Also, I saw them doing a tattoo in there and it looked really nice.

I recently got my industrial piercing at a different shop and a week or two after getting the piercing, one of my ball ends fell out! I looked up tattoo shops near by and found Rock City Tattoos and Body Piercings. After reading the reviews and having a phone call with the owner, Rock, I decided I would go there, and I think it was the best piercing decision I could make! When I arrived Rock was so welcoming and I felt really comfortable in the shop. He made jokes and engaged me in an interesting conversation. I ended up getting a double helix piercing on one ear, and two upper lobe piercings on each ear as well, and Rocky was nice enough to replace my industrial bar free of charge! Overall, If you are considering getting a piercing or tattoo, I recommend going to Rock City Tattoos and Body Piercing!

I just finished getting my tragus pierced by Rocky and I can say he did everything possible make my first piercing experience pleasurable. I was nervous at first but he makes sure to let you know that if you want this done right, youre gonna have to follow his rules. He has a way of making a painful experience fun and actually enjoyable. Rocky had my girlfriend laughing the entire time, even while he was piercing me.Price is low for how wonderful the service was. Although I think I may avoid piercings for a while but if any come to mind, I wont go to anyone else but Rock.

This place is horrible and dirty because the owner Rock who pierced my ears didnt clean his hands. He just got done working on another client and didnt wash his hands befor piercing my ears. He is very unprofessional and all the positive reviews are fake. He puts pressure on you to leave him a positive review right in front of him. He is pathetic honestly.

This guy is awesome. Came in for a naval piercing, came out with a great story to share and a great piercing. Had a bad piercing experience before but this guy’s great. Everything was quick easy and he helped me relax with great conversation.

The piercer was very nice friendly and funny and it immediately drew me here i got snake bites on my lip and an eyebrow piercing he perfectly distracted me while doing the eyebrow and it helped so much the lips went so easy and he helped me with all the care tips. will go back here for more piercing his personality makes me feel like i’ve known him for ages. the peircings we’re even and cleanly and quick.

Rock was such a great piercer. We went in for an infant piercing. My baby was a kicker and screamer but he was able to successfully pierce her ears. He was still gentle enough and thoroughly explained to my husband and I the procedures.

Rock always does an amazing job and have good prices and is willing to negotiate if getting multiple peircings. This is my 3rd time coming to him and I never had any problems. He did my tragus, nose, and rook.

Went to another shop got pierced . Was unhappy with the results . The owner Rock was willing to help me correct the problem despite not getting pierced at his location. They answered all of my questions and the owner was very nice when he did the piercing. They have a wonderfully friendly and clean place. Genuine owner who cares about your experience. not from around the area, so took a chance coming here. my medusa looks nice but unfortunately it was pierced crooked causing the cheap jewlery put in to create a unbearable bump on the inside. it wasnt healing due to how it was pierced, this place is your last resort.

Rock city tattoos is definitely the place to go for tattoos. I’ve gotten my last 3 tattoos here, 2 of them were perfect but 1 not so much. I came back a few days later and explained how I was unhappy and they fixed it up perfectly free of charge. The owner is really friendly, made me feel like I’ve known him for years. I did notice he treated everyone like that tho. The person who did my tattoos was really chill too. He was constantly making jokes so the atmosphere in there is great. Many other tattoo places are kinda cold, but not this place. This is the only place I go to now for touchups and new tattoos. Unless they go out of business, im staying with them forever..

Honestly there is nothing that I can say negative about the place, the experience was amazing, the owner is straight up, has a great personality, and makes the experience one hell of a visit. Not to mention that the septum looks amazing too. 10/10 will be back soon for a tattoo in the future!

I went with my boyfriend who got tragus piercings. The shop was neat and tidy, and the staff was very friendly! Watching the piercing process, Rocky wore gloves, explained how he disinfected his tools, and was very good at making sure my boyfriend was calm and ready for his new piercings. Rocky paid attention to detail and we did not at all feel rushed out of the door before, during, or after the process.
