Black Pelican Tattoo

So, I am 17 years old and I got the tattoo done. First off, the artists are very welcoming and friendly. They give the best advice and help you through the process if you are getting your first one. Second, The way how they design their tattoos are so amazing. They are smart with it and also they truly know what art is. Thank you guys!

Been coming to black pelican for 8 yearsFrom the beginning atmosphere is incredible, you meet the crew and you feel like family. Steve has been my artist, give him my ideas and he brings them to life.

This shop is AMAZING, AMAZING! Everyone here does amazing tattoos! I go to Jason Holley and he is awesome! Every time I am astonished by his quality of work. His tattoos are the definition of traditional tattooing. He is the nicest guy ever as well! Super professional, super nice, super great guy! If you are deciding to get a tattoo go here you will not be disappointed I promise you that! LIKE JUST LOOK AT THE ONES HE DID I POSTED BELOW IF THAT DOESNT CONVINCE YOU IDK WHAT WILL!

My best friend and I are so happy we came across Black Pelican. We wanted very small tattoos and they were super accommodating. We easily called about 15 places before we called here. All other shops didnt even take the time to ask us questions about what we wanted or how small it would be or even the design (they could honestly care less). The girl who answered the phone was absolutely the sweetest and took the time to figure out exactly what we wanted. Our tattoo artist was Sam and he was very patient with both of us and made sure we were 100% sure about the placement. Highly recommend them.

I got my first tattoo here today and I had a great experience. I called and asked if I could get in right then and they said yes, I was taken care of quickly and they were very accommodating. James did my tattoo- he was very patient if you’re nervous and all staff is very friendly and funny, the establishment is nice and clean as well. lll be back here!

I came as a walk-in and was quickly seen to. I had a drawing of what I wanted, James drew the stencil up for me and showed me to make sure it was exactly how I wanted. He went and changed it around when I was unsure about the direction of the snake which is part of the piece. He was very polite and made sure I was doing ok throughout the process, especially seeing as the tattoo is on my rib cage. I got an amazing tattoo at a great price. 100% recommend and I’m definitely going back myself.

When looking for an artist to do my sleeve I shopped around and eventually found a recommendation for this shop. And I’m so glad I did! I got my sleeve done here by Shane, I asked him to give me feminine Japanese traditional and that’s exactly what I got! It’s been over a year since I finished my arm, the color is still so beautiful, my lines are straight and it healed up perfect - love it! During my sessions I watched their other artists too, there is a lot of talent in this shop. Definitely recommend, Go check them out!

Great tattoo shop! Steves work is super clean and very detailed! Hes done 2 pieces on my arm and im looking forward to finishing my whole sleeve with him!

I was referred to Jason at The Black Pelican by a friend who raved about his work. We connected by Instagram directMessage and he was very responsive and answered all my questions. We scheduled myself and 3 friends the following week. We each had a variety of ear piercings. I went in for a DAITH ear cartilage piercing, but based on my ear anatomy- I was unfortunately not a good candidate. I’m so glad he recommended an alternate option- a rook. I trusted his experience and skill and was glad he took the time to explain what would be best for me individually. The process was relatively painless and we were thoroughly pleased with our whole experience. We had a blast. Thanks for taking such good care of us Jason!

The guys in here are veey helpful, friendly and most of all professional. I got my first tattoo here, and couldnt wait to get my second .the shop is clean (even the bathroom is clean!) The artists are all very talented. I see Steve and my husband sees Paul, and were both extremely happy with their work.

Got a small palm tree piece in here last year. Found it online and was a walk in. It was my first tattoo and I was pretty nervous but they made me feel really at ease. It was quick and super clean. Alongside this the price was really reasonable. They gave me all the aftercare instructions too. Would recommend and would go there for other tattoos if I was in the area.

Very happy with my work done by Jason Holley at Black Pelican Tattoo. I wanted to get two good sized pieces done in the same appointment and Jason was able to make it happen for me with beautiful results. The shop itself was incredibly clean and comfortable. Every one was super nice and very friendly the atmosphere in the shop is fun and outgoing. The shop was very clean and they followed the rules.The artist here all have tremendous talent and it doesnt matter which one you choose. They will make you feel comfortable before during and after your session and deliver an amazing tattoo that you wont regret. I got my first tattoo here and will get many more from this awesome place. Ive gotten two tattoos at Black Pelican and several elsewhere. I can tell you I havent met a more professional, creative, workmanlike crew than the gents at this place. They will serve up the real thing, count on it. Five stars. And as others have pointed out, BOOK IN ADVANCE! If you want a fantastic piece of artwork on you, be a fantastic client.

I had my cartilage in my ear pierced for over a year and it never healed. I was referred to Black Pelican and couldnt have been happier. Jason took a look at my ear and right away knew what was wrong. He took the old earring out and said wait until it heals in about a month and come back to get it done correctly. I got my ear pierced again and it hurt just as much. I was originally concerned but remembered Jason said wait 6 weeks and if it was not healed to come back and he would take a look. I waited the full 6 weeks and I was so surprised that right about that time...5 weeks and a few days it was healed and felt great! Would highly recommend.

Black Pelican Tattoo is run by some of the most professional tattoo artists Ive ever met, and the shop is immaculate!! It is a fun, friendly atmosphere and they are truly great artists with tons of fans and return customers...me included! I will definitely be back over and over again.

Super clean and super friendly people. Amazing amount of skill in this shop. Good location with food and beer next door while you are waiting or to unwind afterwards. Jason Holley rocks. 2nd time at their new place, and it has really come together. Even the bathroom is clean, these guys care about the details. Cant wait to go back.

Shane is the man! I cant go anywhere without someone commenting on how amazing my Japanese sleeve is. The care and attention to detail are second to none there. Awesome group of artists there. I highly recommend checking them out!

If you are looking for a place that is POC friendly, can work on dark skin and can do color, DONT COME HERE. THEY DO NOT SPECIALIZE IN DARKER SKIN TONES! POC BEWARE!
