Body Effects Tattoo & Piercing

This place is awesome. We showed up a couple hours before closing time, they were short staffed and booked full. My girlfriend and I wanted matching tattoos but had to return to Michigan the next day. The artist, Jay said to come back at closing time and hed take care of us. He did a great job and on top of that did 2 more guys that walked in right behind us. Would definitely return here and recommend this place to anyone.

Staff was awesome! Went in couple hours before closing, even though they were short staffed we still had immediate attention. They closed at 7 and Jay told us to come back after closing. He ended up doing mine and my boyfriends. Extremely thankful he was willing to get us both in since we had a flight home the next day. He also did 2 others after us! When i couldn’t remove the threaded end on a piece of jewelry that was being rejected by my body, they saved the day and removed it for me in just a couple of minutes! they did a wonderful job making me feel at ease, and when i wanted to downsize the posts in my lobes, they picked out the cutest posts with little hearts as the backing! i felt like they truly went above and beyond for me, i recommend bradenton body effects to anyone with piercing needs. :)

Amazing experience getting my cartilage pierced at bodyeffects. I had a cartilage piercing from a different place years ago that never healed correctly but my piercing done at bodyeffects healed so well!! No issues at all. Tom is also an absolute sweetheart, i told him i wanted nose ring jewelry with a star and he ordered some specifically for me. I’ve had many many piercings in my life and bodyeffects is by far the best, look no further!

They actually turn my daughter down about getting a belly piercing. Saying that it wouldnt sit right. I never knew it mattered and that would explain why 15 years ago mine never healed but it pisses me off knowing that where I went they tool my money knowing it wouldnt work for me. So I was happy that they didnt do that here. So she had to settle with a nose piercing instead.

Ive been coming here for years now, the owner Tom is very knowledgeable and professional on every aspect possible. Jen, the piercing artist has done all of my piercings and she NEVER disappoints! She is very comforting, professional, and is the only person I will ever trust to get pierced by. She makes the piercing process easy, explains everything as she goes, and answers every question i’ve had about healing etc. The shop is very sterile and clean and everything is opened brand new in front of you and thrown away after. About few years ago my husband got a fairly large tattoo on his shoulder and it was amazing! His artist was super professional, the shop itself is immaculately clean, and the price was reasonably. Fast forward to 2015 and its my turn to get one, a dedication to my recently passed grandmother. And let me tell you there was only one place I had in mind. Body Effects! Went in and showed them what I wanted, and two hours later the finished tattoo is so much more than I could have imagined!I recommend anyone that is looking for place to get their tattoo done check out Body Effects! You WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!

I am very conflicted about body effects. Everyone I interacted with was welcoming and professional. At first the shop had a comfortable vibe but then I noticed some example art with confederate flags. I understand there may be a market for that and it might not reflect anyone in the shops beliefs but I no longer felt comfortable after noticing those. Jen was an awesome piercer and if she ever decides to go somewhere or the shop changes some things I will definitely go back.Another thing I noticed was a few typos in the consent form and after care sheet. It knocked them down a few points of professionalism for me.Disclaimer: I am not attempting to start any arguments and I think everyone is entitled to their own beliefs.

Daughter wanted bellybutton pierced but girl told her that she didnt have a bellybutton that would accept the piercing which is what happened to me but I wasnt told this 15 years ago so I got ripped off were this girl wouldnt do it saving us money so she got her mose done instead.

Jen made me feel so comfortable when I walked in to get a cartilage piercing. She’s super friendly and personable. She walked me through how to properly clean my new piercing and explained the different types of earrings I can replace it with once it’s healed. She also helped take out one of my old piercings since I couldn’t take it off (not done by her). I’d recommend coming here for all your piercings!

I went to get my 1st dermal cheek piercing. I was very pleased with their gal who does the piercings. She explained everything in great detail which put me at ease. Im going back there to add smaller dermal piercings. I highly recommend them.

Cody is an amazing artist and the whole experience was pleasant from start to finish. Setting up the appointment was a breeze. While getting tattoo he was extremely pleasant and professional. Also quite funny! The shop is very laid back which makes it that much more comfortable. His prices are very reasonable and his work is amazing! I will definitely be coming back.

Was there today with my daughter to have her nose pierced and everyone was friendly and professional. The body piercer explained everything through the process and my daughter, who is normally terrified of needles, did not even flinch. On my recent trip to Florida, I decided to get my first tattoos on 1/29. I asked my niece who she’d suggest for a first timer to go. She said Body Effects & when I mentioned Rich, she highly recommended both as a top quality & great artist. Rich did everything to put me at ease with not only the two designs but with the whole process. Most comforting was not only the humor but also the care in which he gave inquiring on how I was doing during it all. I absolutely love both my first tattoos & couldn’t be happier with how they came out. My boyfriend and I came here to get our nose pierced. We were in and out what seemed liked ten minutes. She opened everything up in front of us and everything was clean and sanitized. The piercing itself didn’t hurt at all. So far it’s healing very wonderfully. Will be coming back here for future work.

After going through a traumatic experience with a different piercing shop I decided to try this one.I had taken out my nose piercing that I got from the previous shop I went to and let it close since it was not healing and was crooked.I decided to get my nose pierced a second time but this time at this location.And let me tell you it was such a nice experience.So fast,so clean,so professional!I don’t know the young lady’s name that did mine but she made me feel at home! I went to Body Effects Tattoo last week for my first tattoo and I couldnt have asked for a more perfect experience. The staff was especially friendly and professional, the environment was very clean, and the tattoo was flawless. When I arrived there, I described the type of tattoo I wanted and was immediately shown different types of font I could choose from. After I made my decision, the tattoo artist Nate, made a stencil and asked me if it was acceptable. I was explained everything about the process and their reassurance eased my apprehension. I was expecting it to be quite painful, but Nate was very quick and efficient, I hardly felt a thing and it was completed in no time at all. After it was done, he explained to me how to clean and care for it, and what things to avoid in order for it not to fade. It has been over a week now and the tattoo is still beautiful, and as dark as it was when I left. Im already thinking of adding to it and no doubt I will go back to them again. I highly recommend Body Effects Tattoo if you are in the market for some permanent body ink!!! This review only allows me to rate them as high as a 5, but I would give them a perfect 10!

The best place to get piercing me and some friends were visiting the area and decided to get some piercings by far the cleanest best place out there super friendly and make us feel safe and welcomed enjoyed every minute!

Came in to get my minor daughters nose pierced. You have to get a form notarized which is not a big deal. Jen did the piercing and was clean, professional and patient. Super happy.

Took my daughter to get her nose pierced. The lady who did the piercing was very patient and knowledgeable. She did it quick and easy and my daughter said there was a little sting and that was all. I would definitely recommend this place for all piercings!

My mom got a daith piercing there. Derek did her first one and did a great job. She returned about 2 weeks ago to get the other ear done and Derek is gone. Chrissy did the piercing. She was complaining to her trainee while doing the piercing about people judging her for having tattoos the whole time. She must have been distracted and not sanitized the equipment properly because 4 days​ later my mom had a to go to urgent care with an incredibly swollen and infected ear. She had 10 days of antibiotics and couldnt even sleep on that side of her head due to the pain and swelling. Now today my mom texts me that she has the flu. I get her to go to the doctor again. Its not the flu, its the infection from the piercing! She has to see an infectious disease specialist today for possible IV antibiotics!She is too nice to raise hell about this, but Im not!!! This place needs to fire Chrissy before we sue!!

Peircer was super professional. Explained everything she was doing to I wasnt caught off guard. She even changed the peircing for free a few days later cause it wasnt fitting properly. She is awesome.

I got a piercing at body effects. I have got other piercings from other places and I’ve never had a problem. But my ear got infected and I took care of it and washed it like all my other piercings. Place was dirty and the person that did my piercing smelled like a cigarette. I would recommend doing your piercing yourself if you wanna get it done before going to this place.

Was on vacation and thought why not get some new ink. Mike did my tattoo and did a great job!! Thanks for being so professional and friendly! Even though in waited a bit they got me in the day I called. I definitely would recommend Body Effects!

(2/7/18 Update: I came in after speaking to an artist named Sukoshi sills over the phone, to see if he could fix an ancient tattoo. Thankfully he fixed it and made it look better then what it originally looked like! He is a very level headed, warm soul. I recommend anyone to body effects)(Original post) sporadically come here throughout the last 15 years for several piercings. I usually stop in once or twice a year to buy new lip studs. The man behind the front desk was really nice, and took the time to explain a couple questions I had about tattoos and different lip and navel rings. I recommend this place to anyone that wants a piercing.

I brought my 17 year old daughter to get some piercings and Jen was absolutely wonderful. I owner was extremely helpful and nice. Highly recommend.

Got my industrial pierced here a while back, I ended up having to take it out because it hit my glasses frames 24/7 and caused excruciating pain, even almsot a year after I got it pierced :/ my friend and I also got tattooos here and they were horrible. She got a moth and the two wings were not even the same shape. I got a cat and half of it was too thick of lines and the other half were too thin, had to have it done last week and it’s healing now. She wants her covered up because of how asymmetric the moth is. Piercings from here are alright but don’t get tattoos here. Any where that has walk in probably is sketchy

I got my first tattoo today. It was the most pleasant experience. I wasnt sure what to expect. I will be back for more.

I was there yesterday and got my fifth tattoo. They were fun and I had a great laugh. What really made the service there was I was feeling faint and so they gave me some air to breath and a very nice gentleman gave me his sugary drink. That helped me instantly. I was very grateful, I would recommend these guys to anyone and everyone.

Me and my daughter went to get our nose pierced and she was very professional and made you feel very comfortable . If anyone wants a piercing I definitely recommend her .

My tattoo artist didnt have good customer service skills, though I understand he was trying to focus. I told him exactly how I wanted it placed and he said he understood. A few days after the tattoo was done it was crooked and the lines werent filled in. I washed it and used the lotion they gave me (lubriderm) and followed the aftercare instructions down to the littlest thing. Very disappointed with how my tattoo looked and still does look. This tattoo costed $150 and we had to pay before hand, meaning youd have to include the tip too. We tipped an undeserving $20. Which was my choice , so thats on me. But $150 for this? (Pictures included)

DO NOT GO THERE! My tattoo looks like absolute TRASH looks nothing like what I asked for.It looks like a 5 year old took a pen and drew on my wrist. The petals on my flowers look terrible, not aligned, and sloppy. I DO NOT RECOMMEND! I can’t wait to get this thing covered up.

I had previously gotten a tattoo somewhere else and was extremely disappointed. So out of curiosity I went in body effects, and consulted with manny. From his professional opinion and recommendation I knew I wanted to work with him getting my tattoo corrected. Shortly thereafter, I came in for two different sessions and manny Did excellent work, I got exactly what I wanted. I will only have manny do all my tattooing moving forward!

I personally did not get this tattoo, but my girlfriend, mother and I went in and my girlfriend wanted a small cross. We had Rich who drew up a basic cross for her. She asked for it to be smaller which he complied. When we went into the back the stencil kept coming out crooked so my girlfriend suggested it to be free handed which he didn’t seem too happy about but still did it. After freehanding it wasn’t what she wanted so asked him politely to make it thinner. He wasn’t very happy about that either he complied but had an attitude. She also claims that he wasn’t gentle when doing the actual tattoo. I understand that we were asking him to redo it multiple times but yhis is something you can’t just erase or do over. Overall she is happy with the tattoo but the expirence wasn’t great.

Just ew..Went to go get belly button pierced by chrissy.Yeah it was fast and crooked as it gets!Ive had belly pierced twice before along with every other place on my body you could imagine included dermals..Never have I ever had a crooked piercing.On top of being careless and doing poor job, they are 5.00 more than anywhete else.#keepdriving

I absolutely love this place Ive gotten all my piercings from them none of my piercings have ever got infected Ive got my labret, my monroe, tongue belly button and nose as well as two hip dermals and each time I came in they are cheap but they know what theyre doing I recommend this place to anybody
