Hand Forged is the best tattoo shop I’ve been to! Everyone is very professional and the shop is very clean. They make you feel comfortable and they have a sense of humor. I definitely will be coming back! Zack who is only 19 years old is extremely talented. Great shop clean friendly great atmosphere. This is just some of the recent work I’ve had done at hand forged. Dave and the guys are all great if you explain what you want that’s what you get and if you ask they’ll gladly give there artistic opinion on your tattoo. I’ve never left there unhappy I had tattoo done by someone else and was not happy showed it to Dave he reworked the whole things and now it’s unbelievable and that’s why I keep going backThanks Guys

First off the vibes in this shop was so fun everyone was friendly and the atmosphere is very relaxing My artist Zack was gentle and precise during my tattoo with an amazing eye for adding in detail for my lion tattoo.Definitely recommend hand forged for all your tattoo needs!

David was absolutely amazing! If I could give more stars I would. Im going through a horrible time in my life, when I called late on a Saturday for a tattoo the following day, he was more than happy to get me in. He sat and talked with me through the entire process and I was beyond grateful for him. If your looking for your first time experience get down here immediately. This was not my first tattoo but i would have more if i had met David the first time i had wanted one.Thank you so much again David, you will see me again.

I came to Hand Forged for a caterpillar/butterfly tattoo. Zach was awesome! The color was on point and beautiful. Once healed, I noticed some lines of dots out of place in various spots. I spoke to David and came in. He stated that he could lightly shade the back to look like a sky to which I agreed. The background came out striated and resembled smoke which seemed completely out of place for a butterfly and caterpillar. I came in today to discuss again and was met with an attitude. I was told it is going to lighten substantially in response. Even lightened, the pattern would look elongated and odd. David also stated that I was told that it would look like something similar to his arm before he shaded. That was never communicated to me because I simply would have said let’s brainstorm some more. After some back and forth, I was told to come back in a month. Again, Zach was great! But the attitude I received today along with the back and forth truly ruined my experience. This tattoo was very special to me and symbolized a milestone in my life, wanting to make sure I truly loved it should not have been a problem. I’ll be going to another shop for a consult to brighten it up a bit and remedy the situation.

Davids shop is the perfect atmosphere to chill and relax. He made my entire visit enjoyable as well as humorous. Laughs were to be had with the entire staff during my session. Davids work speaks for it self. I couldnt have brainstormed a better vision of the memorial tattoo I was looking to achieve. His line work is superb as well as the tiny details he added. So impressed. A new long time client. I cant wait to come back and get more ink!

I believe I scheduled an appointment with the owner of the shop. An owner willing to roll up sleeves, work the front desk, schedules appointments, and tattoo speaks volumes concerning professionalism. After scheduling, days later I changed my entire tattoo idea and placement. Once again, David was kind, patient, and resourceful, assisting me with a coverup idea. Smooth sailing the entire time.LASTLY, my appointment was scheduled with a young man named Zack. This kid is focused! Eats, breaths, and sleeps for the beauty and artistry side of this profession. I TRULY believe he will be the greatest of his generation.Thank you all for such a wonderful experience!!!

This is one of the best tattoo shop I have ever been to. The owner Dave is a great guy the shop is very clean. I got my tattoo from jay who is a great artist I highly recommend him. I have never been to shop that made me feel right at home until I found this place. Jay did fantastic work and took his time and made sure it was perfect and that I liked it. Trust me this is the place you want to get your tattoo.

Great time today at Hand Forged Tattoo. My aunt, mom and myself came in as walk ins and Josh did amazing on all 3. Josh listened to exactly what we wanted and It was such a fun time getting tattooed by him! Front desk and owner David were extremely nice and hospitable. Very sanitary and welcoming 10/10 would return !!!!

I moved to Brick in November so finding an excellent, clean and well priced shop was important to me. I called a few before settling on Dave. I read his reviews and figured he was the one. Let me tell you all the reviews were spot on and then some. Not only is Dave beyond talented, he’s super personable. He took the time to talk to me and draw up exactly what I wanted and then he did them right then and there! The shop is very clean. I recommend Dave to anyone who wants there tattoo done the right way by someone who puts 110% in each one! I will definitely be going back for more.

Very cool shop! Not your average run of the mill tattoo studio. Awesome customer service and great work. I would recommend Dave’s hand forged tattoo to everyone. I am so happy and excited about my new piece. Zach took my vision and executed it beyond what I could have even tried to explain or imagine. If I can give more than 5 stars I would. This was my 1st time coming to this place due to word-of-mouth I am so glad I did. These people treated me like family. These people treated me like I have always been their customer. These people in this place can be your forever friends.. Thanks were friends now and forever. Thank you, thank you for doing such an amazing job. This artist by the name of Juice took care of me. He was fabulous, everyone was fabulous . Thank you for making this experience meaningful to me because my mother died a month ago and I wanted to get a tribute to her.

Amazing place! Professional, chill, and clean. I found this place, doing some shopping for an idea that I wanted for a tattoo. Something that reminds me of home (Jersey) and a little bit of me. I read reviews, looked at photos, and visited there website. I liked what I saw and gave this place a call. The gal who answered the phone was super nice and so I stopped in. Everyone was chill and the atmosphere of the shop was good. After talking with the shop owner about what I was looking for. He gave me his recommendations for a better spot as I originally wanted a tattoo on my hand. He said it would fade and so I got a tattoo on the side of my arm instead. He recommended his artist “J” and J was just absolutely awesome. He’s super attentive to his art, especially with fine line writing as that is what I got done. Just overall an amazing artist, I can see the care and passion he has. Even with a small tattoo I wanted to get, he knows his stuff. Highly recommend this place and I definitely will be back when I’m back home again wanting another tattoo ( for sure)Thank you so much! :)

David was great. Clean tattoo shop. He took great care and detail with my tattoo as it was very special to me. I would absolutely recommend him and I will be going back for further tattoos from him. Also he will make you laugh alot while hes got you in the chair so the whole overall experience is just awesome.

If youre looking for a first tattoo you wont regret, I would totally recommend this shop. David, or Dave, will work with you each step of the way from the initial thought, to the final design. Dave is a wonderful artist who will treat you with a personal performance of jokes and his superb singing. Hell have you laughing in minutes! Totally coming back here.

David is the ABSOLUTE best! I was scheduled to get a cover up done by another artist and ran into some trouble when I got there but David took control of the situation and made sure I was walking out of the shop with a tattoo at the price I was quoted by someone else. There is no one else I can and will trust to do my tattoos! I will be back definitely! Thank you Dave for EVERYTHING!

If you need any floral work, Zack is the man you want. He absolutely killed my flower piece and his line work is so precise! The overall experience was an 11/10. Definitely plan on returning to get more work done soon.

Dave is my dude! His work is sic! His shop is clean, professional but layed back and chill. He talks with you and works with you. I have found my tattoo guy after 19yrs. Im very pleased with my tats and look forward to getting more work done

Loved this place. Looked around to find a place I could actually go into to show my idea of a tattoo. All the other places wanted me to go on Instagram! They also booked me the next day and the tattoo artist took a while to perfect what I had in mind. It was awesome. Everyone was friendly. I will definitely go back if I want another tattoo.

Mya artistic was Andy and she is amazing I love love my sunflower tattoo. Her attention to detail is spot on. I world recommend her to Anyone. As for the shop its a Great place very clean awesome atmosphere very inviting. Great place to go. Thank you

I got a hellsing tattoo on my arm last year. The color is still so vibrant and beautiful. The vibe in the place is amazing and so are the people that run hand forged. Go over and vheck them out! You wont regret it :)

David is awesome. He covered a tattoo that no one else would even consider. If you want a tattoo this is the place. But you better book an appointment asap cuz he is booked until April already.

I didnt get a chance to get any ink done yet by Hand Forged tattoo, but I did stop in there and asking for a donation for the American Legion. Without hesitation they made a fantastic donation! And I will definitely be visiting the shop again soon.

The place smelled like skunk.Too nervous to let the place tattoo me while they seemed “not” sober.Parking was pain in the butt too.

This place is amazing, as alot of other people have said the atmosphere is awesome, you walk in there not knowing anybody you walk out feeling like your leaving a long time friends house. Dave is great and absolutely hilarious. Highly recommended.

Me and my best friend went to go get a tatto on a whim and found his place... from the second we walked in the door he was very welcoming and extremely nice .. told him what we were looking for and he drew it up and he did a wonderful job... his shop was very clean and organized and he took great pride in it as he should... thanks Dave we will b back again
