Got my first 2 tattoos a couple months ago. Loved the atmosphere and knew others more experienced with tattoos who have gone here. So glad H&HG was my decision as it was a great experience especially for a being a beginner into the art. Andy was fantastic, made the process before and after clear and assured a comfortable environment during the tattoo. After care was explained thoroughly and I still 6 months later get people thinking it’s a “fresh” tattoo. Art was done fantastically, and healed exactly as expected with proper care. 100% any tattoos going forward will be done here. Extremely recommended!!!

I love Horseshoes and Hand Grenades Tattoo! I have worked with Sarah on two separate pieces now and both way exceeded my expectations. She is AMAZING. She is so talented, professional, kind, friendly and approachable. The shop is very clean and sanitary and they take that very seriously. My first tattoo with her was a cover up that came out so incredible, people cannot get over the colors and that it is a coverup! Sarah happily communicated with me during the planning process and listened to an addressed all my ideas. The second was a group tattoo that 5 of us got in one day. Sarah was so accommodating for us and we could not be more happy. I have not gotten a tattoo by Andy but he is also very friendly kind and so talented. The work Ive seen him do while being this is amazing. I cannot wait to go back!!!

I have been getting tattooed here for almost 3 years now and I will never go anywhere else! The environment is very friendly and makes you feel safe. I see Sarah and she takes the time to get to know you and makes sure you are comfortable. She does all of my tattoos now and they always looking stunning. I send my family and friends to see her now because I know that no matter what, they will leave with a tattoo that they are proud of. When other artists are in the shop, they also come up and talk to you. I have never felt uncomfortable or unsafe in this tattoo salon. I always feel heard.

I have been getting tattooed by Andy for almost 20 years. He is such a talented artist and very good at his craft. I’ve now had the pleasure of getting tattooed by Sarah and Justin who are equally as skilled. The shop is covered in artwork equal to being in museums. I cannot stress enough how important safety practices are, and they follow every precaution. I would trust any person tattooing out of this location with my skin. I cannot recommend HSHG enough to friends and family!

I love this place. The inside is a vibe all its own. I have been tattooed by Andy and Sarah, both are amazing! They have an Instagram account where you can see their latest pieces, so you can decide who has the style for the piece you want. Sarah is my favorite to see, her work is amazing! I have brought her a design I liked, and she tweaked it into a design I love. She is honest and direct, which I love, she won’t t just tell you what you want to hear. She has great communication, and always reminds me of our appointments beforehand. They also make their policy and rate well known, so I knew what to expect when calling for my first appointment. I love that they are all so down to earth while still maintaining professionalism. They are always open to questions, and quick to respond. I recommend them to everyone when they ask about my tattoos.

Found Andys work on Instagram a couple years ago by chance and finally took the plunge to start a sleeve. This was my second tattoo ever , other one being very small. I live almost 2 hours away and its worth every minute of the drive.The shop has an awesome vibe and everyone there is super friendly.I had and have just a mess of ideas I want in this sleeve and I was blown away with what Andy came up with. Cant wait for the future sessions and watch how he makes this come to life. Everyone who has seen the start so far has been blown away and a couple are planning on heading scheduling some work.Long review but cant say enough. Ive gotten 3 tattoos here , and I have one scheduled next month, and I plan to get many more in the future from nowhere else. They do an amazing job , and the owners are very nice. For new people getting tattoos they make the process as easy as they physically can. They even noticed issues with previous done tattoos (from other parlors) and worked on it to restore it .The customer service is 10/10The line work 10/10 !

Ive been getting tattooed by Sarah for a couple of years, and she is amazing and one of my favorite people in the world. She is a genius at taking my weird ideas and creating amazing art. Onenof the most professional artists ive ever worked with. The shop is so clean and welcoming. She also puts Twilight on for me during my appointment so I have zero complaints.

I have seen multiple artist at this location throughout the years and have left beyond happy with my tattoos. One of the cleanest shops I’ve been to, very professional and make you feel extremely welcomed. I currently have tattoos from Justin and Sarah and might just have to round off and have Andy slap one on. But if you’re looking for a small tattoo or a big beautiful back piece like I’ve started with Sarah, you can’t go wrong here.

Everyone at horseshoe and hand grenades are top class. I get most of my work from Justin and trust him every single time to deliver on a killer piece. Quality and experience are 5/5. Easy public parking on nearby streets. Chicopee center experience also!! Only 3 of my pieces out of the many attached as photos! Would recommend for first timers and returners!

I’ve been getting tattooed by Andy for 15+ years. I still get compliments on tattoos that were done over a decade and a half ago. Andy and I are reworking some older stuff and it’s coming along better than I could have ever imagined. Despite my long history with Andy, Most of my visits to HSHG are to see Sarah these days for all of my new projects. She has been able to create anything I’ve thrown her way and always makes getting tattooed a very comfortable and enjoyable experience. Neither Sarah or Andy have kicked me out yet for complaining during my tattoos, so that’s a bonus…I love my friends at horseshoes and hand grenades & I recommend them to everyone (as long as you don’t suck)!

I have been to this shop twice now for tattoos, each time I saw Sarah and she was amazing! We talked before hand about what I wanted and sent her some pictures. She was really good about telling me what would work and what wouldn’t. I completely trusted her professional opinion and could not wait until my actual appointment. The artwork and attention to detail was beyond my expectations and I couldn’t be any happier! I will definitely be going back for any future tattoos. Everybody here is so friendly and welcoming! I cant rave enough about Sarah she is just so amazing! She is so nice and easy to talk to while you are getting your tattoo done. Each of my three out of the four tattoos that I have were done by her and they all came out wonderful. She is also so professional by taking the time to resize and relocate the tattoo and takes such safe hygienic precautions. Plus, when I come to her with an idea/concept, on the day of the appointment she gives me 2 different versions of the tattoo to pick from which I love because it shows that she really cares about what you want for the final product.

Great atmosphere very friendly took me in when I called earlier in the day was able to squeeze me in briefly in the early afternoon for a calf muscle tattoo thank you Justin ! Not a bad price either I didn’t hesitate! Good tip well deserved!

I had andy I was super excited tonget a meaningful purple orchids on my shoulder. Andy barely talked to me. Didnt seem like he cared that I was in pain he just said hey your slouching instead of being like hey is it too painful do we need to work another angle. He said 5 words to me. I had to insert myself in conversation and he barely responded. Idk if i looked unfriendly or bc of my skin. This is my 4th tattoo. Never experienced that in my life. Worse experience! So I will not be going back to him

My daughter and I started our tattoo journey last year with HS & HG. We highly recommend them! The shop is welcoming and very clean. All on staff are friendly and professional. I contacted Sarah and Andy for a cover up tattoo that was by far a very tricky request. It was important I chose an experienced and talented artist who could match my vision on what I was trying to get done all while also covering an old and pretty large tattoo. I walked into the shop the day of my appointment and Andy had the perfect drawing ready and covered it up perfectly. I cannot believe how nicely it came out and how nicely it healed as well. I appreciate all of the time he took to make it happen and I do not plan to contact any other artists in the future besides him.I highly recommend this tattoo shop if you are a serious client looking for legitimate work done! I went as a walk in. In minutes Hannah designed the perfect font. I have bern wanting to get a tattoo honoring my soulmate and I for years. She did an excellent job was kind and courteous. And explained after care quite well. I will be going back.

I got my first tattoo at HS&HG Tattoo 9 years ago, and have gotten many more at this shop since then. I have seen a couple of different artists but the same goes across the board for all -the artists are kind, welcoming and accommodating. The shop is very clean and inviting. I had the most wonderful experience. I have been contemplating getting my eye brows micro bladed for a long time, as my eyebrows (or lack there of) were always a huge insecurity of mine. Kelly took the time to answer every question I had, walk me through the process before hand, was very meticulous in the mapping process and made sure everything was perfect and that I loved it. I can’t say enough how grateful I am of Kelly and her amazing work. She has boosted my confidence and went above and beyond my expectations! Ive been satisfied every time Ive gone there. Andy had done two of my biggest tattoos. My mermaid which is 6 years old and my roses are only 2 years old but the colors still looks fresh & bright. He pretty much free handed my roses which is amazing by the way. My brother recommended me here to which Ive recommended many others to come here. Definitely best work Ive seen in MA. I will be coming back!

I loved everything about my experience even the name of The Parlor! The owner is really cool and nice and I now consider them my go-to shop! I couldn’t say anything amazing enough about this shop. Andy’s work is award winning incredible. And his wife Sarah is following in his footsteps. Their shop is nice, clean, and welcoming. They are two of the nicest people you could meet. Andy is working on fixing a half sleeve I had that didn’t come out right, and the colors on it are amazing now! The shop is very clean and the employees are extremely sweet. Which is a bonus to the real reason i go there. One of the tattooers named Justin Weins is the main reason. EXTREMELY talented. You pitch this man a great idea that you think “how can this get any better?” And he shows you exactly how. I will never get tattooed by anyone else. His talent is just the surface. I went to Kelly to have my eyebrows microbladed because they were almost non-existent. Not only is she gentle, sweet and just an all-around great human, but she’s very professional and absolutely NAILED IT! I couldn’t be happier with the outcome!! Her attention to detail is spot-on and she listens to exactly what he clients want while making professional suggestions to enhance the results along the way. 100% worth the 1-hour drive for Kelly! If his portfolio of work over the years doesnt speak for itself...He is an artist who is always improving his craft, and it shows. The shop is professional, down to earth, and honest. Great staff, central location in Chicopee, easy parking. My first time getting inked, and I have no complaints. There appears to be quite a few talented artists. I like the feel of the place, it put me at ease. Being and introverted empath prone to panic attacks, I felt at fine, no bad vibes from the staff. Shout out to Vic P., he was accommodating, polite, and professional.

I had a great experience at Horseshoes and Hand Grenades in Chicopee, MA. Justin was professional, courteous, and most importantly, he designed an incredible tattoo. The pricing was also excellent given the quality of the tattoo that I received. I would highly recommend Horseshoes and Hand Grenades to anyone who is considering getting a tattoo in the Western MA area.

Waited around 2 months to make 2 appointments for a full sleeve. Sent over 5 references with a description of what I was looking for. I got a response that said Jim will have something really nice and ready for you on the 15th. I was met with 1 stencil of a mandala that was off of one picture I sent. He wanted to free hand a lot of it. What did I send these references for if nothing was going to be put together? He spent no time to actually put my references together and make a sleeve I saved a lot of money to pay for. Apparently getting a sleeve stenciled is too much to ask for and doesnt work like that. I could see he was getting irritated the minute I asked this to be put on paper first.This guy was completely unprepared and odd in general. Youd think design time would be a factor in a tattoo that would cost that much money/time and be on a customer for life. Not here. Didnt get my deposit back. Good business guys.

Absolutely fantastic place!! Very clean, and follows Covid guidelines. I’ve had a few tattoos done here, and the atmosphere of the studio is very relaxed. If I could give them a hundred stars I would!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!!

I originally contacted this shop because Vic was willing to touch up an old sleeve of mine. However, I saw that they had a microblading artist and decided to book with Kelly right away! Her Instagram profile has post of all her amazing work! I havent had full eyebrows for over a decade! When I came in Kelly greeted me right away and had everything all set up. She was so sweet, professional and efficient. She made show I was comfortable every step of the way. Im not going to lie I was shocked and scared by the brows she gave me. Not because they were bad but because I havent seen my face with full brows in a very long time. It was an adjustment period. Kelly did reassure me that the shock will go away. Sure enough it did. I fell in LOVE with them during the healing process. Then the final touchup helped perfect them!!

I’ve been going to HSHG for a long time and I’ll tell you friend, this place is THE PLACE you need to be going to. I’ve been to a lot of shops worked by a lot of douchebags with massive egos for mediocre work. HSHG is different. It’s super professional, super helpful and insightful and super responsible. They tell you the truth and give you the benefits of the decision in regards to the work you want. The ART AND TATS are 10/10 from their artists, particularly Sarah. I came into the shop to get my brows microbladed by Kelly. I have a fear of needles and pain in general so I was super nervous. Kelly made me feel comfortable 100% of the time and made sure that I was ok every step of the way. She was awesome and it actually ended up being an enjoyable experience. I love my new brows!! Couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Kelly has worked miracles on my sad and patchy eyebrows, and helped boost my confidence so much!! I didn’t even realize how uneven and patchy my brows were from years of over plucking. I gave Kelly total control over my brows and let her decide on the correct size/shape of my brows, and her work completely transformed my face! I highly recommend her ❤️

Justin Weins is hands down the best tattoo artist who has done a piece of work on my body. Knowledgeable, respectful, professional, and helpful are the first things that come to mind for this artist. He has made my artistic ideas into stunning realities. 12/10 rating from me.

I went there wanting 3 butterflies on my chest/shoulder area all pretty small except for one. He told me I didnt have enough room and we agreed on one butterfly this time. The total came to $120 not including tip. I had paid a previous $100 deposit before coming, thinking this would be included/ it wouldnt be this expensive ($220) for what I had gotten. The patch he put on for the healing process also gave me a scar.After peeling it off slowly some skin came off. The only good thing is I like the butterfly.

The artist Justin there is a fantastic tattoo artist he’s been tattooing for years upon years and by far the best tattoo artist in the area I recommend everyone to go to him he won’t let you down, soon as you meet him you will vibe with him quick I been going to him since 18 and I’m 23 now I will not go to anybody else besides him. He’s beyond a successful tattoo artist

Also, after looking at the recommended after my review on their Facebook, they got their friends to write fake positive reviews, half literally copy and pasted from one another and makes me wonder if ANY of the reviews in the last two years are realEdit: I should have waited till I went to get my next tat. They have given me the silent treatment for a week and after two phone calls with messages left on their voice mail, with no call back, I left a review on their facebook. Instead of giving a valid response such as We forgot about the call as we have been extremely busy or really any other friendly excuse, I got berated and personally insulted because THEY messed up. I dont know what happened in their lives since two years ago, but clearly it was something major and I wish them counseling. Until then, stay awayOld review: Its been two years since I got my first tattoo here and this review is way over due! They were very fast in responding to inquiries about pricing and very professional in person! I felt so calm getting my small tattoo on my wrist and they didnt laugh when I almost passed out. The only downside for me is that they are so far away or I would have gotten way more tattoos by now! I plan on going back someday!

Good tattoo, nice staff, I was given no real aftercare instructions (it was my first tattoo) and was misinformed about my saniderm that should have been changed and cleaned with a new one after 24 hours, instead I was told to keep it on for 5 days, so I did, resulting in a rash. Also has a high minimum fee, But clean and friendly.

I have been going to this shop pretty much since it opened, in my opinion its one of the best shops period! All the artists are very professional and the work is top notch. Definitely recommend this shop to anyone looking to expand their tattoo collection.

Getting a tattoo here was the biggest mistake I have ever made in my life. The tattoo was so badly done that they tried to fix it on a second visit & it only got worse. I asked for a refund & they refused. I should have taken them to court but I did not have the means for a lawyer. Now i have to plan for a future tattoo removal. Its that bad! Learn from my experiance, these people are amateurs. They do horrible disasterous tattoos. They should be shut down. Im working on a petition to have them shut down because many others have gotten terrible tattoos there. I hope this helps someoneI wish someone could have warned me before I stepped foot in that place

Took the plunge and had my eyebrows microbladed by Kelly- OMG amazing!!! She took her time and made sure the size and scale were perfect. The process was comfortable and she was confident in her practice. I am so beyond happy with the end result and wish I did it sooner! No more drawing brows everyday, spending money on pencils. The shape and size she gave me are way better than any tutorial I tried to copy. If you’ve even thought about microblading- don’t go anywhere else. And bring your friends- this is the place and Kelly is the blading expert! Thank you Kelly!!!!

Took my boyfriend to this place to get a tattoo and it costed 150 for less than an hour and a day later he realized, it wasnt satisfactory to what he asked for, so we went back to ask for a touch up. The artist he had refused to touch it up without a minumum payment of 80 dollars. We went to shamrock tattoo and vertias tattoo in west Hartford CT before, and compared to these places, the customer service was the worst Ive experianced. They were exasperated with any request and felt personally attacked, going against the business casual attitude of any given establishment. Their ability to reason with the customer about their dissatisfaction would lead me to tell people not to go there. I am really disappointed in this experience after paying as much as I did for the tattoo. Would not recommend going here.

A few years ago our dog passed away, we loved Ruby dearly. A family member wanted to honor Ruba with a tattoo in memory of her. So the person decided to go to this tattoo parlor shop.. Overall the experience was poor, the shop was not very clean. The tattoo itself was done poorly, did not reflect Ruby at all. Today it looks like a blob of blank ink. I wish it could be repaired.. Ruby was rescued from tjo she brought into home where she was loved dearly, Ruby could be a pita at times, but regardless we miss her very much each day.. I hope the tattoo shop realizes that customers are putting their faith in them and each tattoo should be 100% each time... I havent time to write this been wanting to do it for along time...

I’ve been tattooed by Sarah on multiple occasions now and she will always be my go-to for new work. They’re extremely professional, clean and always welcoming to their clients.

This shop has very talented and friendly artists. Jim is awesome, hes been re-doing my sleeve and I couldnt be happier! Also, the conversations these guys have are really entertaining.

My Fiance and I had both seen Justin and the experience and pieces that he has done are top of the line and I would never consider using another tattoo artists.

Andy is the f...ing man. 100%professional. Spent 4.5 hours in the shop getting inked. Very happy with the results. Excelent detail and shadeing, very clean line work. Cant wait for my next piece. A++++++

Andy is very knowledgeable, the shop is clean & organized; total chill atmosphere.. what made my experience special was that I really wanted to honor my Dad on his first heavenly birthday & Andy made time in his day to fit me in.... I walked in the shop & my Godmother (my Dads sister) was sitting in the chair getting prepped. He again took extra time out of his day to help her surprise me on what was a very hard day for both of us. Instant tears & then tattoos! The caring & compassion that this shop exumes is unmatched. I will never forget it, thank you ❤️
